The location is as with all hotel in Manhattan very good. The front desk sits in a 'closet'! At the kindness and Helpful from my hotel last year, 2 streets further, is this hotel however by far not anymore! But as I anyway only there for sleeping was, apart from that the day on the way, was it okay. Bathroom was sufficient and bed was very comfortable. Next time search I then however again a new hotel. Whoever his trip into your hand adopted and no advice needs, can this hotel also book. read more

The hotel captivates with its best location directly between Broadway and fifth avenue; we felt very much at ease there, the rooms are not oversized but functional and very clean; quasi around the corner one reaches Madison Square, in indirect shareholder proximity the district Chelsae (prakt the new Soho) with its great Highline -park and most fun Corners to relax connected to top gastronomy rd. The Tenth avenue. read more

Room nice-but annoying heating noise

the hotel lies super central, but I would not stay again. I can only agree to the extent that the preliminary report; we also had major problems with the heating. We had a room in the fourth floor to 418 inner courtyard supplies. It was one of the better equipped rooms with wooden floors and large bed. Room was not very large, but sufficient, since you're in NY only there to shower and sleep there. The latter was unfortunately only very limited, because the heating did an incredible noise. We were also each night at least three or four times ... awake by tapping the heating. It was just annoying. Complaints have also nothing brought; it is just so, and we should simply resign ourselves. Price paid for those in NY definitely better hotels in a good location. Otherwise, NY anytime again worth a visit. We were already the third time here and anytime again we discover something new. If you are like us you're traveling in the run up to Christmas, in radio city music hall of the Christmas spectacular show image! Is just great. Tickets are conveniently on the best book in advance on the Internet, since the show is mostly booked up. Also recommended is a ice hockey play the new York rangers in Madison square- garden to look at. Great mood, last time we were in new York and end March the NY Bob the basketball. Was also excellent. read more

the rooms are top perfectly adequate. Clean (I under and behind the bed watching!) not super clean, but clean. The coffee maker is free, but there is better coffee. Breakfast in the hotel not possible and necessary, since everywhere in NY enough opportunities. The staff are nice. You can extend out and then leave our bags. Price/performance ratio okay. Hotel I would book it again. We had room 116 and 118 to inner courtyard (newly renovated nice bathroom). It was a little warm and dark. But it didn't matter. You are only there to sleep anyway. The air conditioning was ... very noisy. Before cool and then go to sleep. Otherwise great hotel. read more

the rooms are small but for a city journey with which one is anyway only for sleeping in the hotel is perfectly adequate. It was daily cleaned. The rooms are all decorated differently. The hotel owns some renovated rooms and the renovated should be. We had one of the new room and were very happy with the facilities. Every room has its own safety deposit box, a flat screen, a hair dryer and our Even a surprise iron with ironing board. solely the view from the window was not enjoyable. When we arrived we had already the feeling that it in the room strange was dark and when we opened the blinds on window opened we saw why: the views from the window turned out to be a view to between two houses embedded fire Escape. The room air was so in principle impossible as there was really no fresh air in the room came. Installed air conditioning we wanted but also definitely not constant switch as she really cold and do not move properly adjust left.

In other languages coffee Machine (and small Chocolates and biscuits in addition) there are in the hotel no gastronomy.

the staff of the hotel we have always as friendly and accommodating perceived. The reception 24 hour is occupied and at any time of the day or night already on issue. The rooms were( in case otherwise liked) daily cleaned and there was also every time fresh towels. in the second night we had problems with the fire in each room. Beeped all 2 minutes this extremely loud there. When we arrived at half the night this 1 at the front desk reported us immediately someone skilled the fire and austauschte we had after 10 minutes peace.

The hotel lies just two blocks away from the Empire State building and the next U-stations are within easy reach. If you wanted to shop is within 5 minute walk to the herald square where the Macy's and various other options for shopping are. With the subway one reaches also very fast all important sights ( for example only 2 stops to Times Square)

The hotel is located in the 31 Street, 5th ave.! ideal corner, to the city anzschauen. Empire State Bulding and Macy's in the immediate vicinity. Subway in the immediate vicinity. The hotel was a little older. The room was large, as was the bathroom (partly high wear to see). We had the room 106. Not recommended. To the inner court in the courtyard (right outside our window) was a withdrawal. The area was noisy and we could not sleep daurch. So, avoid at all costs. The carpet was old and dirty. Used towels for clean and new towels were ... changed. Tv (flatscreen) was okay no German channels (was not so bad). The safe was free (great). The check-in was good and fast. Coffee in the lobby free of charge (good) to get. We paid for the night dollar/night 169. In my opinion a lot of money. Unfortunately the hotel is not worth the money. I do not recommend this hotel. read more

For us was the location perfect. Times Square and Empire State Building are 5-10 minutes on foot away. The subway is also a block away. Many good breakfast possibilities nearby. Every day there were fresh towels and the front desk was (sometimes a bit grumpy but nevertheless) always cooperative. Even if our room trademark box was, would book it again. Finally, there is also significantly larger rooms with smart wooden floors. read more

Hotel is clean and only for staying the night perfectly adequate. Both times we had a room without window, but as mentioned, it was clean, that's why for sleeping okay, if you however more in the room want to spend, this is not in good hands. Staff is friendly and helpful, coffee machine morning available. Very good Base to discover the town, on foot one has however everywhere a good footpath, or you can take a taxi. You have to always keep in mind that this hotel is very convenient and for the price, a lot. The rooms were big enough, nice, clean, comfortable and together cleared. We had a large flat screen TV, a huge comfortable bed a good sized bathroom with toilet (also always clean), air conditioning, a safe, telephone and tight windows with Burglary Resistant shutters! The condition was totally in order, it is of course for the price not a luxury room but still fully in order (timeless furniture) and main thing comfortable and clean.

The hotel features a laundry service, payphones and a nice lounge with a complimentary coffee and Kakaomaschine the very delicious drinks prepared there is also free mini-chocolate. Friends had a few things in the hotel, the staff was very helpful and very on solving the dedicated. The things met 2 weeks after our stay at home a - so just TOP.

The location can't be beat, a few steps from the Fifth Avenue, from the Empire State Building, from the huge Underground station "Herald Square", from Broadway and Times Square. You can do a wonderful walking. Also are right around the corner a "Dunkin' Donuts" with a wonderful breakfast, 3 grocery stores (+ tobacco), many dining options (frequently fast food) and a car rental! Manhattan is from this hotel can be easily reached by foot or with the Underground you can get everywhere in 15 to 20 minutes! And makes you a trip by car (for example in the Six Flagspark to New Jersey) so you 15 minutes away by car from New York outside!

There are 2 elevators for guest use, vending machine, internet portal, and safe-deposit boxes for suitcases. There are several seating in the lobby and a great coffee machine. Here you can choose 60 coffees free but is still a snack. The entrance to the hotel as well as the furnishings are well decorated, clean and friendly. Breakfast you can here, as most hotels in NY, didn't get.

The location of the hotel is perfectly suitable for shopping and sightseeing. It is located on the 31st street between Broadway and 5 Ave. Subway stop is very close. The hotel is within walking distance in about 10 minutes the Times-Square are all within walking distance, Empire in 5 minutes. Around the corner you get anywhere daily breakfast, and hot dogs (Gran papaya, highly recommended) or other. Supermarket about 5 minutes walk. Although the 31st is relatively heavy traffic, but away from street noise.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and is therefore modern. We had room #120, which is a very nice room. But the view was not good, we saw on the wall of the neighbor building. Unfortunately it had had a fan the Open 24h. me personally it didn't bother us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. if something had immediately. The hotel is very centrally located about 5 minutes walk to the Empire State Building and about 10 minutes to get to Time Square. The subway is right on the next street. What the metro, who want to be ... used the often I would stay at the hotel to make sure you know where to metro cards with multiple journeys. Otherwise you pay for a drive 2.25 $. read more

Room and hotel absolutely clean, condition in particular the renovated rooms very good. Night at no breakfast. Twice daily in the lobby area can be used for free a good coffee machine. In addition, soft drinks, ice machine (no ice cream! ), Internet access, vending machines washing machines and tumble dryer available. Good service and friendly staff. We had a renovated Large queen-size room, although on the walls was rather sparsely furnished and a relatively small closet was for New York standards was really big. The furnishings otherwise good. LCD TV with HBO, national and local channels, safe, comfortable bed and air conditioning (with the window open but quite a volume by the air conditioning units, and next to our room). Bathroom also new and renovated. tub/shower combination. Aesthetically Pleasing design. Whole really an attractive room with small room for improvement.

Staff were really friendly and always tried hard. with questions and problems to be helpful. Room cleaning was mostly alright apart from some details. Tip is recommended. Front desk incredibly friendly and helpful. Limousine service to the airport worked without problems. (approx. $60 plus tip). Foreign language skills? No idea… If you are going to New York, make sure you stop speak english ...

The location is between 5th Avenue and Broadway / 6th Avenue. Empire State Building two blocks from the hotel. Subway access either station Herald Square (no more than a 5 minute walk) or the 33rd Street / Park Avenue. Optimal. Times Square, Madison Square Garden, the Flatiron Building within walking distance. The 32nd Street with "Little Korea" is a street full of Korean restaurants available, have been launched. Dunkin' Donuts and deli around the corner, so that the self-sufficiency perfect work.

I was with a friend together guest at the Herald Square hotel. We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a room with additional bed, no extra charge. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels were also changed every day. The central location is perfect. The hotel is only a few steps away from the Empire State Builduing away. Metrostations rijdt alleen 's and there is also nearby. On my next visit I would certainly choose again this hotel. read more

The hotel looks very nice from outside. On the way to the room we didn't get around and it does not always a hotel and in the 1930s, the editing of the "live" magazines. There are framed pictures that all than cover of the magazine, it was fun to read. The courses are not very inviting for, but a bit cramped and you don't feel like a hotel corridor. this is only on the edge of, but it did not bother us at all, what cares us the hallway. The rooms are very small, a little alcove with safe, phone book, ironing board and Art wardrobe. Then, the double bed and a small desk, that was it, is also not space, but there was everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The air conditioning which we needed was relatively loud, we are only every evening completely K. O. and managed to get into your bed, we were absolutely no matter how loud the was. The bathroom was nice and clean, with hair-dryer, a bathtub. You couldn't really open windows, otherwise they could have had a wall in front of you. Depends on a big flat screen in the room. And which is really great, the floor was wooden - so very big fat plus, there is nothing worse than carpet in the hotel room.

  • Gastronomy
    5.5

The hotel has no gastronomy, only in the lobby coffee maker, in very good condition. You can choose the strength of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, really super, which we liked very much and the coffee was really good. New York offers enough amount to traveling to breakfast, as is the breakfast in the hotel almost waste of time - my we at least. There are also tables and chairs in the lobby, where you can get breakfast and food.

The front desk, no matter who shift had, was always very nice and helpful. On our last day it as "thrown over from with rain". We walked over to Newark Airport and at the reception, they told us the cost approximately $75 - don't be surprised, we did it - in Newark closer than John F. Kennedy, only because of the traffic, the amazing in the length. We were just a little over a whole hour from the hotel to the airport. A porter realize we waited in the lobby and offered to call a taxi, when we told him $75 us too much are, he said he'll get us one for $45 guests, because we are and blablabla (that was a very very nice Indians - this just on the edge of) we went on a and there was no taxi but a private car, no matter, it was right, we never had to stroll to the train station and by train and cheaper than $75 it was. Here you have to have been back twice about the Brückenmaut á $5 and expect a little tip we easily made for the placement of our bell boys.

It is just great. From the hotel to the left and go a few meters says on the street and can decide whether direction Flat Iron Building at the left its decorative or to Macy's, the right. What else can one explain, it is was extremely central. We arrived with another couple and we shared a taxi, this cost including all costs as Brückenmaut $50 from John F. Kennedy. The drive was took about half an hour, but the time you'll forget sudden the New York skyline to the place and I wanted all off.

Our room was very very small. With our suitcases still in the room you could almost don't work. But for the few days completely enough. The beds were heaven! Bathroom was okay in terms of size. Bath, sink, toilet. View we had to a wall, almost without daylight. But when you are already in the hotel except for sleeping. It is absolutely great!!

The hotel is located in the 19 West 31st Street, Herald Square. The subway is literally just around the corner, so about 3 minutes walk. One stop ( 5 minutes ) from Time Square, within walking distance, about 15 minutes. It is really everything worth seeing. Empire State Building two blocks away, so about a 10 minute walk. From John F. Kennedy, with the subway about 60 minutes. Shuttle bus about 45 minutes.
