Hotel Arathena^{(4 stars)}

- Standard size with air conditioning (very important in summer! ) - Safe - telephone - the furnished fits very well into the Mediterranean flair - bathroom very nice

-necessarily only breakfasts as that is bad food in the evenings and it's very expensive - breakfasts is good - Lunch is very bad

- The staff is very friendly - than Italian, broken English, no German - the room was always cleaned perfectly - how to deal with review in the restaurant was very bad, ate ate there in the evening, the food was very bad, they reacted popular review

- Pool was relatively small, but didn't bother - Opening hours from the pool from 10-19 o'clock - sunbeds were very comfortable - internet access if you use, 15 minutes but cost 4 €

- Nice, old style hotel built in San Pantaleo - nooks and crannies. rustic - 35 rooms - very clean - breakfast (is only open from 8 -10am) - generous breakfast buffet - many couples from young to old, families

- The hotel is located near from the road and the area is very quiet - the nearest beach is 6 km away (so absolutely book a rental car! ) - To the village of San Pantaleo are within walking distance - there is not a lot going on during the day - but it was wonderful evenings on the pizza to spend the evening, where there are a very nice bar, where many people at night ... - The location is still a gas station, a small supermarket and several restaurants ... - In the immediate vicinity there's plenty to do, especially one sail to the "la maddalena" is highly recommended ... Costs 75€ per person is but plus food/drinks and an unforgettable Erlebnis!!! ... - The town of alghero is very nice (but with about 2 hours drive away, but it's worth it) nice in the area is also the Capo Caccia - capo testa, korsika-bonifacio , to visit, the best with snorkel equipment - the nearest airport is Olbia (approximately 30 minutes drive by car)

Largely roomy, prettily furnishes and cleanly.

Meal was very good! The restaurant is beautifully furnished.

Staff predominantly friendly, complaints as in our case over the seat lacking in the free one, the lady in the reception not really interested, also the managing director who we to speak wanted has itself 7 days not to us announced. I think guests those with a package tour come, do not throw simply not enough profit off, one follows their complaints.

The pool is small however clean. Sun screens and a correct shower are not there however at the pool.

The hotel is very beautiful and very clean, the kitchen is also very good and in the restaurant is a very speedy and attentive waiter, who is always merry. Without car one does not get away there however, it gives a shuttle service to the beach. As already predecessors mentioned may not one as a guest with half-board NOT on the terrace feed, we have themselves here therefore weighted, it helped nothing. Also in the guest book of the hotel going by notes were made. Who would not like to eat and drink in the south in the evening outside comfortably. But since the hotel has a restaurant, which is very hochpreisig, only these restaurant guests (to pay evenly the more) on the beautiful terrace places is set. That should know one in any case before one booked and as we, at it much is then annoyed.

Beautiful environment, a small town, where in the evening is however not really somewhat the matter. One can go drinking everywhere a glass red wine, but more is evenly not.

(Superior) the room (number. 321) it was so small that we inquired only times, whether no mistake is present here. There it is useful also not much that still another house course and a roomy bath were present. We did not have a table, no chair in the room on that it would have been possible to put in the evening also only the dresses down. The “Nachttische” were so small that times place was not to put a book down on it. On the day of the journey we had an ambient temperature of 29 despite current air conditioning system °C. A possibility of the individual regulation was not to be recognized and us was not also explained. The tightened curtains were the only protection from still more heat and views of the surrounding rooms on the bed. Of sleep was hardly to be thought with this heat. Only after several days we discovered a display not marked more near, which indicated the ambient temperature when touching lightly and made possible after some attempts also a somewhat lower attitude (25°C) in the house course beside the fuse box. The mini bar did not cool. Instead of glasses cheap plastic cups were at the disposal.

Nothing too mäkeln gives it at the meal. That was very good. The however following is improvement worthy: With the breakfast one is asked to meet the selection for the four-usual dinner. One marks and delivers the note. During dinner guests with a good memory ability are clear in the advantage. Because knows also in the evening still, what they marked in the morning. With the arrival us the German-language guest info. one presented. Al dinner Dresscode was wished formal clothes. - For us actually naturally. However this dress order did not apply to guests of the A' la-Card-restaurant. During dinner one is pleased, if one comes from Germany rained that one knows boards in the sunny south in the open air. - Guests with half-board we were instructed not in such a way, because the beautiful terrace range is exclusively to guests of the A' la Card restaurant Balbacana at the disposal. All the rooms we had (four between us) were very clean and well furnished. All were a good size and fresh and simple but not luxurious.

Seemed very clean and pleasant surroundings but only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was average.

Generally excellent service and the staff very helpful.

Didn't use the pool as late in the season but didn't seem to be much room around it for sunbathing, I would imagine it could be crowded in the Summer months and some of the rooms are very close to the pool so could be noisy when busy.

Generally clean and in good order. We had a family group in four rooms and all were of a different size and standard but all clean and pleasant.

Walking distance of San Pantaleo which we have been to many time before and love. Less than 30 minutes from the airport and a short drive to the coast. Excellent pizza at Da Niccos in San Pantaleo and the cafe/bar is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Definitely need a car to get around this part of Sardinia and staying at Arethena is no exception.
