The rooms are in very good condition. This is because, that the hotel only 2011 complete renovated. The rooms are spacious and offer enough space for 2a 3 persons. With us and other hotel guests the sliding doors the shower not completely closed, so the bathroom in the port a little underwater beach. This was absolutely not dramatic and no reason to complain. All rooms offer a balcony and an airco. There is no hair dryer and no flat screen tv, but a crt with 4 German programs. The rooms are functionally furnished and convince through their charm.

The Excelsior is a all inclusive-hotel. The concept works smoothly, everything seemed very harmoniously and well prepared. We have only positive about the gastronomic offer comment. We were thrilled by the fruit, the fresh vegetables and the many fleischkreationen. For everyone is something to suit. The selection of food is not overpowering, but nevertheless one can between a variety of different dishes. We had during our 2 week vacation always on the meal times looking forward to it and the dining room always satisfied and leave. Every guest should once in a vacation the à la carte-food notice. We were allowed an extensive -course menu at the pool bar enjoy. You have the possibility every day from 16:00 until: o'clock itself at the pool bar for this meal to register and at the wednesday or saturday evening culinary to spoil.

We are on a very receptive, courteous and friendly hotel-team, included the entertainers, on trip advisor. We met the people with respect and recognize its work on, so you will in return friendly and courteous. The staff speaks only broken German. With English language skills one is clearly at an advantage, but a communication in the German language is quite possible. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day and the towels replaced. We were with the cleaning of the rooms fully satisfied. On the rooms is no hair dryer available. The front desk made us fast and free of charge several times a hair dryer sometimes made available. We were the service in the Excelsior very pleased and can express the entire hotel staff only our big thanks!

There is an extensive entertainment program. The 4 entertainers offer vacations numerous possibilities, for active in the hotel to keep you occupied. The entertainment starts 10:00 and is until: o'clock. The port is lunch time, so the program from 15:00-17,30 will continue. The hotel guests can volleyball, soccer, table tennis, darts, Boccia play, there are in the afternoon a cocktailspiel, Zumba offered and for the kids there is a kid's club. It is for each quantity variety and have fun catered for. The evening will be a show round. The quality the shows was very high and for good entertainment is provided. The animation is not pushy. Of course try the entertainers, the guests to the participate to ask, but nobody was forced or to the participate subservient. By the pool are loungers for the vacationers available. Because of the smaller complex are the loungers not so numerously available, so you were already once with a shaded spot or a chair content must. The sandy beach is a absolute highlight. The front area at the beach should pay. For almost 15€ per day! You can 2 loungers with edition and sun screen rent. We were in the back, free field. We were for 6 €a sun screen and bought it us in the sand on our ceiling cozy. The hotel offers no computer's with access to the internet. Throughout the lobby however, you can wi-fi use. Who on vacation on his computer and the internet not do without can, should carry forward, in the lobby free of charge to surf.

The Excelsior features 200 room on 6 floors. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and modern. The hotel is 2011 complete renovated. In the very attractive designed lobby with numerous places to sit, there are otherwise 2 large flat screen. All employees are very open minded and friendly, furthermore is keeping the cleanliness within and outside of the hotel, as well as in the whole complex respected. In the hotel there are plenty of nationalities represented. Mainly the guests from Germany and the eastern european countries. There are young people spend a vacation in this hotel, make the most of the nightlife at the gold beach to use. Furthermore there are families, traveling alone, younger and older couple. The hotel is very family-friendly and not a party hotel. In the hotel and in the direct environment you get from the wuseligen and lively, with music unterlegtem hustle and bustle of nothing.

The hotel is in the 3. Row with a short access to the beach. We are over numerous stairs about minutes at the beach been. For older people or families this way is not recommendable - it should onto the street must be avoided. The purchase- and entertainment possibilities are just a few strides away from the hotel. The hotel is very central, nevertheless the hotel guests from the nightlife not at all affected. The rooms on the front are to the sea and the opposite hotels located. The rooms on the rear are soccer -respectively tennis court and on the adjoining hoch addressed. There are numerous excursions, both from the tour operator, as well as from local organizers on the street are offered. We enjoyed the tour to baltschik & to the cape potash distal extremity, the sailing tour to the natural beach, the drive to varna and the dolphinarium about the hotel booked. We are from the gold beach one stop by bus in the direction varna and then about 20 minutes a street up to the monastery run. Above the hotel Perla, is located on the street a bus stop ( hotel Perla opposite from the hotel Kristall, 5 minutes on foot from the Excelsior). From there you can for little money to varna drive, or a double decker hop on/hop off - bus enter. This information is the tour operator its guests unfortunately for. We found the food actually pretty good. The selection was average and the food was quite tasty. ! However had my girlfriend on 2. or third day a stomach bug going around. She spent then once one to two days more toilet than elsewhere. I have everything nicely and bounced so, that I nothing would have. Also many other in the hotel, but also in the hotels in the area had a stomach bug. I had nothing to day of departure. As it has also me and I had at home still a whole week a bit of it. It seems in Bulgaria respectively on Sonnenstrand/ golden beach a fundamental problem to be. Not a few had even in the hospital, because the diarrhea so strong and infusions had to receive!

We are in the hotel unfortunately only unfriendly staff met. The front desk was rude and not at all accommodating, let alone helpful. The entertainers of the hotel were really very kind and nice, as well as the cook. Foreign languages skills miserable. In English exactly little understood as German or other.

Pool not worth mentioning. Unhygienic. More words, I should like to do not lose. There were daily animation. Since we didn't participate, I can't judge allow, but it looked afterwards from, as if the entertainers but much trouble.

In the Excelsior arrived we could not believe our eyes when we our room entered. The room was simple only dirty, on the balcony was a towel, what this grimy was, I would like to at this point not at all mention. It smelled very musty in the room and only right from of the toilet. Immediately we are to the front desk us about the condition of the room to complain. The employees at the reception we encountered very rude and told us, that we may be! First on the next day a new room available bodies could, allegedly was written off everything. It was unlikely, because it fully appeared to us the hotel not. The first night in the room was horrible. It was the first room in ground floor location, almost directly next to the reception and the hotel bar. Sleeping was impossible. It was terribly loud, constantly bawled young people, music was loud turned on and so on immediately in the morning we went against to the front desk and requested a new room or the assumption the rückflugkosten. Since us very unfriendly and rude met, were equally. The boldness didn't end. The front desk argued, that we a balcony could have got, although we didn't booked. I thought I hear not really. The hotel is on a hill location, away from the strandpromenadentroubel, which we deliberately so booked, but peace we had nevertheless not (see above). The hotel shuttle bus drove hourly, we have only once used, because when we the beach looked, we had on the flight back home is taken. The rooms were big enough. We only wanted to shower and sleep there. The tv is very small. We had our double room for pool side, which as very loud proved. To more peace to get, you need room in 2. and more floor. To the cleanliness: rather bad. Bathroom, as good as never. Only fresh towels there were. Cleaned unfortunately never. The beds were changed once.

At the start we have good leftover money in there on for the food. There was always pork and chicken. As well as always fries, salads( mostly the same). Food was rather average. Cleanliness of the cutlery rather bad, also the tablecloth dirty. The all inclusive drinks were in der breite too few. No cocktails, only bad beer, as well as a few vodka Cola, but hardly nennswertes. A large dining room with an outdoor area. A bar, there was furthermore a lobby bar and a pool bar. The last 2 days we got stomach cramps and thus stomach intestine. So that the food was walked anyway. The very! Greasy food was nothing for the stomach.

The staff were young and above all friendly and very blickig. Plates were quickly cleared away. German the front desk good. The waiters knew only some words, as well as little English. The rooms were as above already mentioned, dirty and weren't carefully cleaned. Doctors were enough in the area. Children were mostly good animateurs.

Discos at the beach sufficient. There is something for everyone. The entertainment team took a lot of thought and was always in a good mood. The hotel is corresponds to its 3 stars, but no more. The cleanliness in the room was not good. Shower, toilet, as well as washbasin in the 7 days stay not cleaned. Straight on water tap were dry water stains from the 1st day. Beds were once a week made! The dining hall was in the desk area dirty. The cutlery was clean, but also with water spots. We had all-inclusive, whether the extra charge however worth it I dare to doubt. The complex at the hotel is however good. By the pool there are many loungers, the entertainers give themselves a lot of effort will see the lazy tourist to motivate. Guests were lots of young people German and romanians. Age structure of 18 to 60 and possibly more.

To the beach there was at least 10 minutes over a flight of stairs at the hotel located opposite you could this good. To the airport by bus about 40 minutes into town varna very cheap by bus for about 1.50 Euro in about 15 to 20 minutes. There was lots of small supermarkets, smaller shops, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Especially there were many discos! Long miles from these shops were down at the beach. The size from the apartment was good, the furniture quite old and spartan. The bathroom was however large enough, however languages chlorine and even the deckenfugen in the shower were brückig to not at all available. On the day of our arrival we an apartment on the 4th floor and we had the head move in, around the bathroom to use. The door height was at about 175 centimeter and this is simply ridiculous. We were after our complaint two ausweichhotels offered and should for this however again deep in the wallet. Our early booker- Discount would then lapses defendendo. We have rejected this and saw two days later a floor higher drag. At least we arrived without head injuries in the bathroom.

We stayed at the travelbooking after a hotel with four stars and and the hotel Excelsior was also listed. On site when it turned out, that it merely to a three-star hotel acts. We were already in other hotels and even the three stars we find not justified. The apartments are with carpeting material equipped, which alone very unhygienic, and this is in a desolate condition! According to description before our booking, should the rooms allegedly only about two years ago renovated and the doubt we. The locked performance, we booked all-inclusive, is simply a cheek and not as such to be designated. The food was no disaster and stomach problems are guaranteed! There were hardly any a selection of meals, it had no taste, wasn't seasoned and was partly even inadequate gegaart. Desserts were not at all available, two weeks was only one type of cake offered and it gave neither ouark (with exception the bulg. Yoghurt) a other treat. Cakes or similar not at all! We would have our vacation already nearly after three days canceled. But we could have stayed longer and various restaurants supplies.

The distance to the beach there was simply too big and the streets are very, very hilly. The stairs to the beach was hard accessible and in the evening already perilous. There were large pebbles on the steps and thus raised danger of slipping! For insane however very recommendable! We had a double room. There were a double bed, a tv, a armchair, an airco and a closet. Furthermore had every room a balcony. The bathroom had a toilet, a shower and a washbasin.

There is a bar in the lobby and a bar by the pool, as well as the restaurant. Over the cleanliness you can't say anything bad and I did not see the not enough food or drinks were there. At the quality however, you can still work, it is partly bland, really soggy and or not completely through, but there are always a few things at the buffet, the good taste.

The staff were always friendly and decent. Most employees ( front desk, bars, animation) could German understand and also reasonably spoke and otherwise you could get by with English always farther.

As mentioned above, the whole day there are animation or different plays ( for example table tennis, soccer, volleyball, Zumba, children's disco, and so on) Internet there are in the lobby free and in the room for 5€ per day be ordered. The sandy beach is just lovely, there, there are enough loungers and sun screens which one for one day could rent. The pool it was cleaned every evening, during the permitted staff is always a lifeguard and there is enough chairs and sunscreens.

It is a lovely hotel, 6 floors and a big pool. From the 5. and 6th floor you can the sea see. At the whole day there are animation or different plays ( for example table tennis, soccer, volleyball, Zumba, children's disco, and so on) The hotel is clean and looks tidy from. The cleaning ladies are really thoroughly. We had during our stay booked all inclusive, as it was no great difference made. The food was okay. Partly missing at spices or the food was still a bit rough, but as soon as one the trick out had you could good food. To our time of vacation were people from different nations and the age of the guests was completely different.

To the beach down, there were surely 300 meters, however because of the many stalls on the side of the road you always something to see and it is also abbreviations over stairs. Excursions would be shop in varna or perhaps the delphinarium, The bus station is 2 streets away from the hotel, so approximately 150 meters. A bus trip to varna costs 3 leva (about 1.50 Euro) or you can take a taxi for 18 leva.

As alone traveler you should dadrauf eighth the one a double room as alone used and no single room the rooms are very small. If one does not attach importance to food, it is very recommendable what the cleanliness subject. I had al what a catastrophe the food was could butcher couldn't have. I have had to decide, whether it is for a chef simple is a food to cook what not tasted or one that is tasty. Otherwise had a lots of guests darminfekt the ambulance was at least 3 times per day since, unfortunately also once but I had no darminfekt, but pneumonia which of course nothing with the hotel or food had to do.

The hotel lies relatively quiet even though it is to the beach about 10 minutes to walk back is a little longer then it's uphill goes, but there is regularly a bus. We have the pool not used, since we only at the beach were. But there was nothing zutadeln, pool always clean, very many loungers animation, as well as kids club were available, can say to it however nothing.

Were to beach vacation and had booked all inclusive. Had we found very large room with working air conditioning what was also need. The complex was of many nationalities visited, but all more or less fine The room, as well as the rest always cleaned.

The dining room is very clean, the staff very attentive. The food as customary lau were offered. Selection of the food was good, you always got full.

Service very good. Staff are very friendly. We had no language problems. Daily cleaning of the rooms and change of towels. Travel agency on site every day and always had an ear to lend. Complaints were taken serious and if possible taken care of immediately.

Pool area is for this hotel sufficient, but I do not think it is right, always reserved loungers to find. Animation is excellent. Shops on every corner.

The hotel is recommendable, if you are in a three-star hotel I would like. Services all inclusive the standard adequate. Cleanliness, decor and choice of dishes are three stars type of sand, not as advertised 4 star.

Distance to the beach, 600 meters specified. True unfortunately not completely, since the shortest about 136 stairs is. Apart from that it is about 1.2 kilometer street, wobwi the location of the hotel at the top of the hill is. The view to the sea on the 6th floor is however excellent.

We were 3., so 2 adults and one child, in the hotel. We had a double room with extendable armchair. The room was good equipped, has for us. The third bed, so the pull out armchair was okay for our child (4 years). For older children/ adults is the third bed in our opinion not suitable. We had a room in the 2nd floor, that was good. So we didn't have that long ways. There was also an airco, the individually adjustable is. Functioned however only, if the balcony door is closed and the keyring is inserted. Size of the room is ok. Balcony is available.

In the main -restaurant there were breakfast, lunch and dinner. In of the pool bar there were snacks and ice from to o'clock. The snacks by the pool consisted of: vegetables ( tomato, cucumber), fries, ( burger -) meat, and pasta or pizza. Otherwise there were still cookies. The choice of meals in the main restaurant was ok. There was however daily the same ingredients only in a little other variations. We are for the food not so picky, and have therefore always found something and are also full. Drinks you had to always self service. There was also always fresh fruits. We in the restaurant bother us, that the tablecloths unfortunately only very rarely changed (one had often stains for example from lunch in the evening still on it).

The staff were friendly. Knowledge of German were unfortunately not really available. But with English one could inform oneself well. In the restaurant there were for example waiter the actually only among themselves chatted and not the tables cleared. Other whereas were super quick, as you had to already times its plate 'defend', so that it was not already picked up, although one still not at all was ready. Cleaning of the rooms left nothing to the imagination. It was not great clean, merely the beds made and from time to time times sucked ( carpet-floor). The bathroom, especially the toilet was at best 1 really cleaned ( we were at the hotel for 12 days - that was then already unpleasant ) - you had to so always do it yourself. Apart from that were the dirty towels were removed, but very often forgotten, then also again new to lay down. Were so often so at the front desk, where the problem quickly was. We had 1 real complaint. This was fast and good. The problem was within shortest time regulated. The child care / mini club was however a joke. So bad, like never before. ( see more description later in the sports section, entertainment)

There were both children's entertainment ( mini club), as well as animation for the adults. There is only 4 entertainers in the hotel, and 2 for children there are. There was for example table tennis, morning exercises, volleyball, Zumba, water aerobics there was at the start our vacation also, this found however not anymore, since the pool was just too cold for an extra half an hour gymnastics to make. The child care / mini club was however a joke. So bad, like never before. Although in our vacations the mini club not all as especially were, but this mini club we found, and especially our daughter, as completely useless. There was 2 children entertainers, which were nice, but not at all to the children cared have. Knowledge of German were available, if also not super good, but the communication it handed. However the 2 animators not at all with the children spoken. Every day it was actually only, board game to play. Much more did not give it. There were also almost no children there. Often has the two entertainers alone playing there. A great shame. The pool was nice, with integrated shallow pool. Loungers fortunately we got always found. Although not actually so many loungers there were, at least based on the number of guests. It also always gave shade/ sun screens. Unfortunately is the pool in the afternoon from 3:30 P. M. already at least half in the shade been, whereby it also was cold. By the pool is a lifeguard also always been, which safety sure, these was very good, especially also for families with children. Directly at the pool there are several trees, as slow the fall starts, were many a time also leaves in the pool, but they were daily away. Evenings there were 20 hours mini disco and then 21 hours evening agenda. The mini disco was good/very good. Us and our daughter good. The evening entertainment consisted of bingo, disco evening and shows. The shows were partly very good. We really always liked it. Unfortunately went the shows only approximately 30 to 40 minutes. However one must also consider that it is only 4 entertainers there. Monday has no animation taken place, since on this day the entertainers free.

We were there for 12 days in the hotel, had booked all inclusive - like all the guests. Nationalities there were different, for example German, romanians, Poland, we were end of August until early September in the hotel. The types of people were from the nationalities was very mixed, in the end, there were however more and more German been there. From the ages it was very mixed. Many younger people, families with children but also some older guests - for this the hotel is in our opinion not so good. The size of the hotel was ideal for us. It was not huge but evenly also no small hotel.

The hotel is in the place gold beach, up on a mountain, about 600 meters away from the beach. The beach you can reach over a flight of stairs, have no 10 minutes (with smaller child). Also from the beach back to the hotel it was doable. However with beach bag and so on it is already exerting, however therefor there was the shuttle bus-bus. This we during the day always used. It runs from to o'clock, and in this period 1 times per hour. Worked great with the shuttle bus-bus. The place gold beach do I don't think so lots to say, there is always something going on, is great lots of possibilities to do some shopping and, of course, for the entertainment. The beach itself is beautiful, unfortunately somewhat not well maintained. It is quite a lot of trash rum (cigarettes ) - unfortunately actually, since everywhere also garbage bin are. At the beach are life guard and hang flags, the view that sea is. In our period was usually the yellow flag-so it was actually always relatively high waves, sometimes there was also the red flag-where on bathing actually impossible. And 1 times we had green flag. Since we have a smaller child on vacation were, was swimming in the sea as good as not to think (at least for the child). For adults makes the baden with its waves already fun.

The room was clean and I had view of the sea. The bathroom was only very small.

The selection was for a three-star hotel good. The food wasn't 'hot', but that was due to the retention, since there was no lid to the closure of the containers were. There were always 5 put on different salads - but the repeated already times. There was always pasta, mashed potatoes or polenta. I eat gladly vegetables and here there was a good selection. Of the puddings the fingers leave, the taste only after water. Apart from that is the dessert good. Who a three-star hotel bay, the cannot be the selection of a 4 or five star hotel expect. For the food you should rather expect anything less, you can take also not disappointed are. Who dill does not like, should not to Bulgaria travel!

The staff were friendly, a few could speak German, but with English one comes also far. The bed linen was twice in one week changed. It is very young staff. I was once the plates were taken, although I not finished yet was-that was fast!

The pool was very cold, since this not heated was. A indoor pool does not exist - and if, then I did not found. Loungers there are in September enough for the number of guests. Animation and shows I didn't use. Therefore I can't verify this.

This is a rather small to middle hotel from the number of rooms was. The hotel was first two years ago renovated. I had booked all inclusive. The hotel was not fully booked.

The hotel is on a mountain amount 'admiral'. Evenings it was very lonely the way to the hotel to go. Over stairs, shuttle bus or the road one good to the beach.
