The guesthouse anzengruber is a definite insider tip. Familiar, comfortable and you are at any time in good hands. The guest is always in the foreground! We were now already for the 2. time in the nice pension anzengruber, where we were very comfortable. The guesthouse is located pleasant quiet with good transport links to the city center. We enjoyed the hospitality, the beautiful spacious rooms, the cleanliness, the very good breakfast and the pleasant atmosphere enjoyed. We can the guesthouse just really warmly recommend! read more

    To Wien one arrives problem-free and cheap with bus and underground in short clocks, the bus stop is in a side street (2 minutes on foot). The upscale residential area, in the guesthouse is, is very quiet with a lot of green.

Stay in the guesthouse anzengrub we were in every aspect very pleasant decorated. The lovingly prepared breakfast brought the optimlaen start to the day, tips and instruction to the recreation left nothing to be desired. We recommend the building gladly further! read more

Pension Anzengruber is the best-kept secret in Vienna. My husband and I spent 8 days at this beautiful B&B on the outskirts of the city, and we enjoyed it a lot. The first impression on arriving is a profusion of blooming flowers at the entranceway. The extremely friendly hosts made us very comfortable, and we received ample information and suggestions that helped with our sightseeing. The room had a view of the beautiful garden, it was very clean and nicely decorated; the excellent and luxurious breakfast was served in the guest kitchen. A pool invites for swimming, and an abundance ... of more flowers makes relaxing in the garden very enjoyable. The connections to the city center by bus and metro are very good – no car is needed. Also, there is plenty of free parking close by on the street. We highly recommend this B&B to all our friends, and plan to stay there again. read more

Ideal accommodation for tourists not keen on' hotel-luxury' lay, but which comfortable and informal atmosphere is more important. Although the guesthouse in a suburb of Vienna is located, you can because of the very good traffic connection ( bus and S-Bahn) confidently on the car do without. read more

We spent a short family break in Vienna, staying in the little cottage next to the main house. The kitchen was well equipped, as it was the rest of the apartment. The location is quite far from downtown Vienna, however, transportation is very convenient and reasonably priced (get the week card for 14 Euro !). Definetely recommanded. read more

In short - this is a nice family run guest house in Vienna. The location is almost rural, quiet and relaxing. The quality of sleep is unprecedented. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned daily. The breakfast is nice and tasty. The hosts are most hospitable and helpful, providing free map and directions, along with recommendations around the neighbourhood and the city. They were always available and always ready to help. The connections to the city are simple and comfortable, although it can take about 30 minutes to get to Karlplatz U-4 station. The buses to the Huetteldorf station come 4-5 times ... an hour, no complaint on that. We will definitely be coming back to this hospitable and comfortable place. read more

    The room that we had (#2) is located upstairs, with other guest rooms. It is a comfortable room with wooden furniture that seems to have come from the 19th century. But don't be fooled - its modern and comfortable. The windows can be open, closed or reclined, which affords good ventilation. The controlled heating are installed in the room and in the bathroom. The curtains allow great night sleep, although you wouldn't need them - the neighbourghood is not excessively lighted from the backyard. The bathroom is comfortable and clean. Some may find it not really big, but we had no problems showering in it. The doors of the toilet room are even lined with special material to avoid bumping the door to disturb other guests. The carpets on the floor serve the same purpose, and quite successfully - we hardly heard anyone during the whole stay.

    The breakfast is ample and tasty, served in a kitchen on the same floor with the room. It included a variety of cold meat and cheeses, breads, butter, honey and jam, accompanied by orange juice and delicious Vienna coffee or tea, at our choice. The breakfast was served at our chosen time, as they seem to do for everybody, which added more patriarchal atmosphere to our experience. Extended continental breakfast was served with exciting punctuality. The kitchen was spotlessly clean, just like the rooms.The breakfast was good and lasted us well into late dinner in the city center. And by the way, use of the kitchen is allowed to the guests during the whole day, so the refrigerator, kettle and even electric furnaces are available, although we never used them. There are also a number of restaurants in the neighbourhood, however, we never got to try them. Some of them you will encounter going by bus towards Huetteldorf station.

    Friendly staff and hosts speak fluent English so no communication problem is expected in the Pension. We have had a great pleasure to be treated by Mr Knoell himself, who was kind, hospitable and generous. He was there for us for every our need, be it an explanation or any more material need.

    The location and finding the way The pension is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with pastoral views on the Vienna forests and the location leaves an impression of a prosperous village. Church bells can be heard sometimes at a distance. Occasional car passing the street does not ruin the most prominent experience - the silence. In our correspondence we were provided by a detailed and concise directions on the arrival to the place. We were also recommended to take one of the airport taxis for a fixed price, to which advice we gladly followed as this was our first visit to Vienna. The arrival by public transportation is however equally simple - you get a U-4 metro from any of the stops where arrive trains or buses from the airport, to the direction of Huetteldorf, get off at Huetteldorf, and thence by buses 149, 153 or 249, to Josef Ressel Strasse stop (ask the driver when coming for the first time). The pension is around the corner right, some 100 meters from the bus stop. Total arrival time - about 30-35 minutes.

For three days in Vienna, packed with sightseeing, we were looking for a nice, family and manageable Hotel in reasonable price/performance ratio and good traffic connections. This is exactly what we found Knölls. We felt very comfortable in this house and our Vienna-experience from here, with a little bus 'in all trains 'the best experience. Rejoicing, commotion, hoarseness are not here to find-but clean and honest friendliness experience relaxation guaranteed. read more

I have stayed in many hotels/inns booked over the Internet and therefore unfortunately also very bad experience. But for the pension Anzengrub speaks, that what one sees in the Internet and read, to do so. The guesthouse is located in a very nice, quiet area of Vienna. Due to the good traffic connections is very short in the centre. The breakfast is very good and sufficient. I would recommend the inn only. read more

We had three great days in Vienna. Thanks to Mrs K. tips and advice at the reception we have also found nice restaurants and cafes. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. Transportation to and from the hotel is very good. If we return to Vienna will, we will stay here again. read more

We (couple 46/31) were in September for four days in the cottage Anzengrub. Family was very nice and advised us on the various options for dining and transport links. The garden is marvelous. It was just a pity that we tighten programme had more time to use it. The pension or the cottage is exactly the right thing for a city trip to Vienna. You can leave your car there and is in 20 minutes in the city center however. The bus/rail link until late in the night is excellent. read more
