We had the 6. Room and were on the first night from the innumerable bed bugs visited! As' alternative' we have to 6 in a triple room and have on the next day voluntarily checked out and we a new hotel looking for. The staff has us completely abandoned and after long discussions, we have at least the money for one night reimbursed. The hotel is actually located centrally located, the is however the only positive. read more

the rooms without mini bar are not very clean. There are rooms, the extremely of smoke stink, although in the hotel ban on smoking applies. also the walls are partially smeared and dirty. The heater works, but the windows are not very close, because they are quite old. There are rooms with broken windows! Room with terrace or balcony does not exist. An airco is also not available. In the small and narrow en suite facilities with showers there is no shower curtain or sliding doors. The whole bathroom is the shower wet and wet!

The armada hotel is his two star category was fair, but the room is covered to evaluate. Especially annoying, that for a payment of the hotel expenses (Visa) or by credit be 3%, which was the price for a further increase. The central location of the hotel seems to be the owner, the prices corresponding to designed. The room itself has an estimated size of 10M ² and is very Spartan. There is only one small closet with two drawers, a bedside table, a small table with chair and a double bed. The mattresses were totally worn out and the ... bed including significantly dirty. In the closet or two yellowed and dirty pillows and dirty blanket also. The wall-mounted tv received only a Dutch television channel. The bathroom was so small, that one could hardly move. The sink-mounted shelf and hanging from the wall plug, the shower was not separated by a shower curtain, so that the use of the entire area was wet. Mold was in significant volume in the tile joins the shower area too. To emphasize was positive, that every day the towels were changed and the beds were changed every two days. Overall cleanliness could be regarded as satisfactory. The offered and free wireless Internet worked, apart from some losses, very good. The breakfast buffet consisted of those components, as in the previously wrote reviews has been described. In addition to jam, there were cold cuts, consisting of salami, cooked ham, and cheese. The rolls were mushy SESAME or burger rolls. The cereal consisted of two sorts. The coffee was taken from a machine and tasted very pleasant. Furthermore, out of cocoa and coffee drinks that other be selected. Tea was available but only with a sort of. The hotel is definitely for short stays of 2-3 days acceptable to look at. Furthermore, you should then rather to look more demanding hotels. From the hotel one is in few minutes away from the vibrant Rembrandt plein, featuring many bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Only a few minutes 'walk from there entferrnt the flower market and the single kalverstraat shopping street, which leads directly to the most central square in town, the dam. This national monument beach chairs, the department store 'de bijenkorf', the royal palace, the Nieuwe kerk and the Madama Tussaud wax museum of. To the train station Amsterdam Centraal arrives with nearly all scheduled Tramlininen centre about ten minutes. With the passenger car is very quickly also the stay very expensive, because the charge for an hour parking costs 5 €per hour. A stay in Amsterdam is certainly not to be described as 'cheap ', but the flair of the canals metro pole for some and offers a varied cultural events places of relaxation, in the many parks in the city. Basically here every visitor of the city well at its expense! read more

This hotel is for low requirements, where a roof over your head in a very good location for what we needed. Optimal up to a maximum of 3 nights, otherwise the rooms too small box as good as not available (Spintgröße). In the room you just cannot move. Rates are in the winter time really great, so we opted for this hotel. The location is really top! Depending on the room could be noise due to a sheer beauty. We were not effected. Breakfast is very basic and with self-service: 1x type of cheese, 2 types of sausages, several rolls ..., orange juice, jam Good coffee machine: -) read more

Our room (no. 52 ) Was about 15 sq. m large inclusive bathroom. For one or two days we found the ok, but for a longer stay, the room we would have been too small. The hotel consists of the bed, a small narrow closet, a small table with chairs, 2 mirrors, a small TV (some international channels) and a bathroom with a small sink and shower. The carpet in the room and in the hallway was relatively new. Towels were available.

  • Gastronomy

The breakfast consisted of 3 kinds of rolls, Crispbread and cereal. In addition, there were salami, ham, cheese, boiled eggs and various spreads in small prepackaged packages. Coffee was from a machine, milk and orange juice were also plentiful available. The meals were fresh and everything was hygienic impression.

The service at this we can only rate the front desk. The older gentleman there speaks English and German and is very helpful, informative and friendly. Other staff we only saw short and will not met. When we arrived the room was clean, although a little tired.

The location of the Armada is very central. Almost all the sites are well by foot or by tram ride right from the front of the hotel one stop to reach. You need a car in Amsterdam not really. The parking in the city is very expensive (5€ per hour! ). Valet parking is available at the hotel, the €32 per day (a lot cheaper than going through the hotel parking! ). The car is parked outside of service from staff and about 1 hour to call brought us to the hotel. The hotel is located right on the Keizergracht canal, from there, it is only a few minutes to Rembrandtplein, the flower market, and all the shops, bars, coffee shops, etc. From Amsterdam.
