    The beach is directly behind the hotel. It is contrary to the official description complete with a korallenbehafteten entrance into the sea connected. To wear swimming shoes is essential, if you don't hurt your feet would like. For scuba diving fans certainly something delicious, for bathing and schwimmgäste not really suitable. Airport shuttle is on direct ways and is around 30 to 40 minutes. There are small shops in the middle the hotel available, but with totally overpriced one. A daily several free shuttle service allows a trip to the center/shopping area of Hurghada.

We were for the first time here and absolutely loved it. A very nice hotel, a wonderful area, fantastic beach and very friendly staff. The food was also good, it was diverse and all, also our kids were satisfied. The new jetty is great, a beautiful reef. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely come back. read more

Were the 2. time in the Grand Makadi. The food in the restaurants (except italian ) is very good, the staff very friendly and helpful. The beach is very beautiful. The new jetty is very convenient. You can from there direct for snorkelling the charming house reef. The drinks at the bar may in nicer glasses and with more love to be made. There are cocktails in normal handle without decoration. That is for example in the Makadi Palace already differently, Otherwise we like it very good Grand Makadi and we will be back. read more

Were in march there, air conditioning set on winter, therefore only fan possible, our rooms with east-and south during the day very strong heated and at night much too warm to sleep. Only after 4 complaints we were told, that the climate not at all on and i received a new room with other location. Sports facilities, such as Tennis and fitness only for a fee possible, which actually even with a 4 star hotel including. Local drinks and the cocktails are a bit hard to get used to. read more

An absolute plus of the hotel is the lying off coral reef, where you can even in january about 25 °c water temperature like in an aquarium feel. If you want to stay in a 5-star -all inclusive-hotel a 5-star all inclusive-service expected is in the wrong place: the food is at best mediocre, the coffee consists of water with taste of coffee, the juice from water with alternatively oranges- or ananasgeschmack. But for everything there is a solution: decent coffee, freshly squeezed juice and decent meal gives it against setback extra charge of about 4.50 for juice or ... coffee and the food in the theme restaurants depending upon gusto for 10-20 Euro extra. Egyptian tischwein is included - however has the staff to new year's eve a special sales strategy for the wine à la carte to be astronomical prices excogitated: the egyptian table wine transformed dramatically on new year's eve in essigessenz (and the next evening miraculously back) and discreet broad hint, then nevertheless into the bag to reach. How do i begin. We were already 4 times in this hotel it was once great, was every year bad. However this year everything was good. Room 2 times changed, na ja cleanliness also with a lot of effort with schlechtenoder with no detergents nothing in walking distance. From the bathroom with the right filthy tub i want to do not talk. Food a nightmare if you 14 days almost always the same food in the restaurants gets. Also which one against a high extra charge 12-15- € on the plate has an isolence. Even 3.5 stars hotels are ... espresso and capocino included Also there were only 3 kinds of fruit at the jams always while searching for variety Mostly nil return. Everything was what food bread dessert offered more like a 3.5 star hotel do it justice. Some in the restaurant on the cakes and brottheken the birds sat what anyone Interested in. One had to even the tables vertreibe. Pool: should for 4 years heated none on 3 january 13 it was believe it or not 18 degrees Beach: neglected the loungers defect in the cushions i don't even think so dirty and disgusting and totally were broken this. Even if itself the staff always endeavors it were too many shortcomings. The friendliness had only an idea tip what we have. The employees can't for the bad management. We are for 12 years always 2-3 times every year in Egypt but i think to this hotel never again. We have stayed in star hotel you were better than this. The hotel is a bit outdated, what you at brökelnden plaster in the room (but without a problem) and in some courses can see. But from the staff absolutely made up for it. Although the hotel only half full (it felt) was, were all restaurants open. The breakfast and the lunch you could in spite of the season easy access to the terraces enjoy, evenings but much cooler. The food was as usual delicious. On the pool area one has the agony of the choice between those in the Grand Makadi and those of the Makadi Palace next door. Altogether ... it 7 piece, some of them huge. In two hotels are the pools in wonderful large garden areas embedded, in which a new guest also times can. The differing temperatures were between 17 °c and 26 °c, so was something for everyone. The red sea had 24 °c, which also the air temperature was. The chairs at the beach are a little rickety, functioning but still and in big numbers are available. A small, but fine fitness studio (costs extra) rounded for us the offer from. Along the beach to the south is widening the red sea chain still. There is a new african bar, the was empty, but potential for the future. In march we are again over there. read more

    Plenty of restaurants available. We are almost always guests in the lagoon and with both the quality, as well as quantity of the food and drinks very satisfied (partly dishes like at home). Garment of the kitchen and the waiting staff is still often cleaned or changed. Tips were naturally gladly taken ( monatsverdienst between 40 and about 80 Euro).

    Staff very friendly and corteous. Foreign language skills, so any, mainly in english, partly also in german. Room cleaning: man's business, and it shows. Handling of complaints: thanks Christina, the good soul and guest carer, sometimes only after some reminders themselves successful. Therefor strong praise at this point to Christina!

    Animation still rare (in contrast to earlier). With the staff was rigorously saved. Also the evening shows in the courtyard of the hotel are very poor in contrast to earlier. We were also in november and jointly complained with many other guests, since the night music gigs to the children's playground was moved. This flaw has been fixed and there was some live music in the springsbrunnenplatz. Beach chairs and umbrellas sufficiently available. A shower missing however with the departure from the sea over the footbridge.

Us as mature couple has this hotel very good, we were to 2 time there and, if it is, a 3 time in flight. We had a room on the upper floors, best view of the park. Sun on of the terrace enough, if wanted, but also shadows. The room was large, since above, also good to ventilate. An airco is not everyone's thing. The offer to the meals was plentiful, for the europeans may to bland, but salt stood on the table. If black bread or pork, is in the wrong place. The age of the guests was very ... different. There were mostly germans and english there. read more

    The room very big and well equipped, everything was clean. Closets For the clothing plentiful. Television and tv picture was not great, but in order to see the news, it was sufficient. Large balcony with chairs. And table. The bath tubs were, unlike 2011, now alright. Toilet paper and holder took some getting used to, but everything was clean. In the evening the boy because of the towels, control! Everything ok?

    On the premises are several restaurants, but everyone has a different taste and you should in each restaurant ate there once. In a restaurant it is somewhat louder, by the number of of the guests; in another it is quiet, with the age of the guests. The food is more Euro- päisch, but well seasoned, little salt. The desserts are soon the good too much. Everything was clean. As said a guest: 'this is soon as christmas' Tip is almost everywhere expected. The high point is however the bar on the marketplace.

    Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is to be-. Foreign languages were available, even though only partially. Who of the guests speaks as arabic? The cleaning of the rooms was found to be ready, as some of the older guests keep his nap. A doctor we have not seen and used, but there is, 5 minutes away, a pharmacy on the premises.

    Travel time from the airport to the hotel rd. 60 minutes, to the beach 5 minutes The city Hurghada we didn't visit, shopping is only possible. On the premises are several restaurants, something for everyone's taste.

We had a great great relaxing weekend. The atmosphere of this facilitities are unique, the garden inviting, the staff are totally nice and helpful and always up for a joke. The sea (24 degrees) with lying off reef invites for snorkelling a-many colorful fish sighted. You will also at the beach with drinks worn out. The food is varied and tasted really good, we enjoyed it particularly the caribbean restaurant (no extra charge) pleased. Excursions plentifully offered. We chose Cairo with the pyramids (bus ride about 6 hours) and quad biking in the desert with a camel ride. Both was ... impressive. For sporty is amongst others also Zumba offered in the neighboring hotel. We can definitely recommend the hotel! read more

    We had this time the possibility, all restaurants in the grand, palace and in the mall (more than 15) to visit. Except for the italians in the mall (staff a bit arrogant) all local be recommended. Especially good we found this time maison in the mall. However as mentioned - it tasted us everywhere. Breakfast in the lagoon was always a perfect start into the day.

    The employees in the hotel one must always friendly and courteous call. No matter, with which you to them-you always tried, to make it possible. Especially the guest care (Christina) it was very praising mentioned. Also the waiter in the lagoon restaurant, the beach boys... Were always there for you.

Admittedly it is an old hotel but nevertheless it can be seen. What this hotel still could work is the accessibility for disabled persons. However the efforts are visible. The staff's hospitality leaves nothing to be desired. The food in Grand Makadi is excellent. There is something for every taste. Whoever complained here knows apparent only stars restaurant in Germany \u263a! Beach towels included bag be from the hotel and also every day exchanged. The exchange of the beach towels is in the room and the annoying line up and left over from cash deposit not applicable. We found totally ... super. Chairs on the beach and also by the pool there were enough. The reserve of the chairs is not allowed. Also a huge plus point from me. The beverages in the lobby bar are subject to a charge, belong so not to all inclusive it didn't bother us, the surrounding and in seconds reachable enough other bars are available. Water you can for the tagesbedarf at the pool bar get (whenever you want). This is also always fresh chilled. I have nothing negative tell about this hotel. Quite on the contrary. The next vacation leads us directly again there. read more

Grand Makadi hotel, a week -all inclusive at the end of january until early february 2013. The hotel is recommendable, you should however note, that it is an older hotel it is. The joints in the bathroom not new anymore looks, or a tear or small corner in a tile are, should not disturb. It didn't bother us, because it was clean and daily the towels were changed. Beach towels included bag are also in the room ready. There are exclusively men there, what to do, the women mostly far away life, and child and apartment have to worry about. ... The most employees, come from Cairo and environment, since it is in the neighbouring Hurghada hardly apartments gives, since too few jobs are available. The hotel is wonderful laid out, the whole day strive gardener, pool boys around the optics /cleanliness the entire area! Many waiter strive constantly, the guests enough to get a drink. Food & beverage: The food is in buffet form offered, for the evening you can also reserve i, in the various restaurants. But in the 'lagoon' you can also the dinner at the buffet select itself. In the other restaurants: the best entry (lunch). Then one is à la carte served! (al also inclusive, it is only around the existing places) There is also food, where you have to pay extra! Meals without 'Euro' behind, are in all inclusive. The food is varied, delicious, usually very mild seasoned, which i found good, because you could always spice afterwards still! The ' italian ' ('Leonardo', just left behind of the lobby) you can just pizza & co The ' indonesen' (' tarbouch', left behind the Leonardo) you can also vegetarian guests. The 'lagoon' down direction /at the beach, you have buffet with changing treats, where outside on the grill freshly prepared is! 'after eight' (is right by of the lobby aus) after the lunch, its coffee/tea. On the whole hotel area are as well 'snacks' to get, the Doner (chicken meat, simple but delicious) or a hamburger, both usually with fries and salad. Pork does not exist! Meatballs are a mixture of beef and lamb! Drinks there are plentiful! However you should know, that the alcoholic drinks (everywhere) the cheapest from the cheap are, it was possible a ' red dea special' to drink, extremely sweet and the alcohol tasted like spritt. Cheapest rotgut. The beer was okay, not so hochprozentig as our (partly). Comparable mit: cologne, mild pils. But you can against an extra charge, real/original Gin, rum, whisky & co order. Caution: 1: No only water from the tap drink, and not your teeth! There are plenty of bottled water to go (free) 2: Never without beach/water shoes to the beach and into the water, large risk of injury by rock mussels corals. In short: A lot of effort and love put in this hotel, and everyone is hard-working, the hotel was very good! Value for money were very good! (1 week al -2 persons included join & transfer: 490 €per person) They exaggerate it is not indicated tip (baksheesh), the power the prices broken! Nevertheless are for good achievements, this recognition very welcome/appropriate! We felt comfortable, in good hands and in the best way served! Although there were also german/english spoken is, is the communication with the employees not always very simple, but it is fun, also a bit of their language (egyptian/arabic) to learn. One can take off money at the machines keep themselves fully informed on current events change (no commissions) We would come back to this hotel! read more
