The hotel has about 190 double room, the in the form of 1-2 story bungalows or apartments on the extensive klubanlage are spread out! The bungalows are located in a very well maintained garden area, the whole of the lagoon surrounded by! The complex is older, but all in a good well maintained condition! We had booked all inclusive and were with the offered services really pleased! Guest structure: 70% russian, 10% english, 5% germans, Otherwise french and italians! read more

    The rooms have a size of around 35 to 40 square meter ( room 136), A terrace with old platsikmobiliar, the furniture in the rooms is rustic, shows slight signs of use! The sanitary installations in the room were new and clean! Are available air conditioning, safe at no extra charge, more than enough closets and luggage racks, a fridge for selbstbefüllen, water heater with coffee and tea, hair dryer and tv with 1 international channels ( Deutsche Welle)!

    There's a restaurant and a bar in the hotel area! The dishes were always freshly prepared, the selection is plentiful, particularly commendable are choice of salads and desserts! Trying all in all, an international food to offer, it but not so, lots of dishes but from the seasoning was a bit peculiar taste! Overall is however the food still very good! Cleanliness and hygiene Were really reasonable!

    The staff is very friendly and helpful, except is clearly the pool service, here are more or less expected tips, before you its pool chair mats and towels gets! The fremdsprachenkenntnisse of the staff essentially consist of english and german, fewer french! The cleaning of the rooms is average, bed sheets and towel service worked, from the sweep the leaders but less! And now to the subject ' dealing with complaints ' : i would like to contribute to this assessment the management and the staff of a unique praise! I have for the first time experienced, that because of of complaints of the guests about russian roomie, in this case 2 alone ladies with 1 daughter in the ages of to, this within 24 hours of the hotel were referred! Us remarkable have first the children, the only in the nose piercing at the buffet there were, then the fruits from the pudding desks, the salad with the hands of servicing, to the bread bite, this back on the table suggested and then the plates überluden, of which virtually nothing was eaten! On 2. evening our stay then i was for the first time with the two russian ladies fronted! The two children had unsolicitedly from the table of two german travel companion two chairs away, one of the two russian ladies spragge then 3. chair! One of the two german tourists then tried these 3. chair it, the russian mother pushed the chair the party before the chest, that this almost to ground! I then these chair the russian mrs wrested and the two other chairs at the table on hold! As a result i became evil insulted, opposite my partner was then the guests the halsdurchschneidens shown! We then on the staff the manager informed, as the situation on the escalating was! As turned out then, were these two russian ladies already several times within their 4-5-tägigen of stay cause for complaint, they had 2 boxes cigarettes get, but only one paid, the things of fellow from the chairs in the sand and itself then on the chairs spread! The behaves opposite the manager of the hotel was not very polite to them, at least the management determined, the ladies the all inclusive wristband could take down and the folgeabend on the travel agency home muster! I can from our side only say. All present guests and also the staff we were glad, when these terrorweiber with their children left!

    Sport, entertainment, disco and kids club i cannot judge, since we not taken into account have! The pool area is large, sufficiently functional, and clean! The service regarding the pool chair mats and towels is Bad, it is completely obvious, that first tip is expected! Chairs and sunscreens are older, but clean and functional!

    The beach is approximately 100 meters in front of the hotel, the beach is publicly, but fun you had due to the Currents not! The beach is clean, but the sand was under the surface black! The transfer time to the airport took about 2 hours, the next town marawila is with the tuk tuk for about 700 slr ( 4,50 Euro) within 5-10 minutes to reach.! Purchase possibilities exist in marawila and at the beach, Night life i cannot judge, excursions in the hotel and Outside of local vendors offers! Public transportation is the tuk tuk!

Plant is situated in beautiful nature. Unfortunately we had bad luck with the russians, who didn't behave. When they left, it was quiet. Before we had hardly any possibilities at the beach beach chairs under an umbrella to get. The russians erkauften sch everything with money and made us very clear who say. For tips were the people particularly russians flattered. Not much given, or no additional wine to eat bought had to see where they still free tables could get and often the tables new. But there was also nice waiters, the much effort and which we also gladly tips gave. We complained with our really good guide and a discussion with the restaurant manager had, which had as a consequence, that this us for the rest of the time completely ignored. Rooms were really very big and it was cleaned regularly and fresh towels given. The guys have a lot of effort. Corners and under the cabinets you could however not to see. But Sri Lanka you could also not with our standards rate. In all we had a very nice vacation. The beaches were clean and we could see miles walk. The natives are very friendly and you quickly take them to the heart. Excursions we did with s. Fernando made. Very well organized and cheaper than with the tour operator. We can really recommend. It is in front of the hotel and speaks super german. read more

    Our room belonged to a newer construction. So good. New furniture, air-conditioning and fan alright. Coffee machine available. Minibar yes, but there was daily only 2 small bottles of water with this heat. Whereas accordingly also the teeth cleaned had. The size the bathroom was alright. Unfortunately the water on the badezimmerglastrennwand in the toilets area. That is why we have this with towels covered, so you dry to quickly walk to be do one's business could. One of the the hotel. The existing vorlegelöffeln was only partially used. With the fingers were the fries, but also salads, plate.     The staff in the restaurant were very friendly, but without almost to requested tip it would not have been better. The zimmerreionigung could be better. The last 4 days was unset room was not cleaned. Had own towels and water yourself. It was from the hotel staff (all) almost no speak german!

    There was only smaller individual offers. Amateur through run. Beach/pool: it was in the whole area no cushions, not significantly were filthy. Also for excrement the birds always available. Without a 2. towel on the chairs it was not! The very few plastic chairs were still worse hidden! Here vwar it without tip almost not possible cushions and towels. Also you had to very execu this reserve the chairs, there somewhat later the to few couches, by the pool but also at the beach Were gone, The pool was certain times of black crow overcrowded. This also wanted to baden. Very bad.

    The country Sri Lanka is very nice. Herrorragende cultural Circumstances. Much green land. Distance to the beach over the road about 80 metres from the hotel. Airport to to the hotel on day about 2,5 hours, during the night 1 hour. Several trips with the guide to be booked. Recommendation: book in front of the hotel entrance in fernado (speaks German) much cheaper. Tuk tuk also the hotel cheap.

We have the vacation in july 2012 booked. There had the hotel still 100%! A hotel can in 7 months not so worn, or? Our opinion, a lot in and at the hotel to be done. What really 'disgusting' was, were the overlays on the sunbeds by the pool. Also fit on the seats of the chairs in the dining room almost no stain more to it and the arms of the wicker furniture in the bar you were literally stuck on. Who the beach than 'nice' is, was certainly not elsewhere! What positive emphasized should be, the bungalows. Our ... bungalow was fairly new and very spacious and nice. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Also about the food one could not 'complain'. read more

    For reasons of previous hotels, we have a quiet room paused, which through travel worldwide ag was reserved (room 122). We arrived at 3. day the room change, because it was very loud. I told the manager with, that we gladly on the rear side of the hotel would (room number from 300). According to the manager, are the rooms not ready and he promised with the number 162 the really quiet atmosphere. Far from it, we had to the 2. evening the same experience as elsewhere (around Base) luckily only until 1.30 am. Rooms facilities = good Cleanliness = good Size = good

Could about the same as the squash court through a door crack spy so unfortunately no photos possible. Quality and quantity of the dishes and drinks = good but the fruit juices. Cleaning and hygiene in the restaurant = good Kitchen style (typical for the country, european) Atmosphere = would be good if not almost everynight to loud music the food live presented would! Prices = Cola Light, beer in bottles, frchtsäfte and in the all-inclusive be paid extra.

    This hotel we have had the following reason selected : a week daily squash and surrounding area of the airport (return trip). Personal squash equipment for the trip (total 6 weeks) with it. Was our 6 tes hotel in Sri Lanka Day 1 i i after squash court asked. The squash court is revision! (downright lie see pictures). I asked after another possibility someplace else squash to play. It stayed with the issue without answer until i am 3. day gave up have. Guide and manager asking me for the rest of the days tuk tuk and squash court in another hotel (aquarius club ) available. Al we on the same day in the other hotel were, there were unfortunately never a squash court. (for us again a day lost).

    Very isolated about 5 kilometer into the village. Shopping in the hotel = no thank you. Restaurants = were on the search. (there are certainly somewhere) Airport = drive around 45 to 60 minutes Public transport by taxi or tuk tuk or 5 kilometer on foot distance.

When we evenings at 21:30 hours arrived, it came us spanish before, that one out of the hotel had to to the beach to arrive, we thought but, that this was not the hotel's own beach could be, wrong, but more about that later. The way to our room was very bumpy and on closer look at we knew why. The cobbles were so loose and crooked, that you get hurt very easily could, if you are not careful. The room itself looked on the first glance clean, on the 2. unfortunately not more. In the bathroom there was ... to the toilet around a papierband, at what stage, that the toilet cleaned and disinfected. Unfortunately not! It were not only traces of urine on the toilet seat, but also on the wall and on the floor around the toilet. On the wall to the sink were likewise schmutzspritzer. Visibly was the wall already long not been cleaned. The curtains were so dirty, that this probably already from alone confessed would be, if you taken. The padded furniture was moldy, the closet unusable (inside yellow and müffelnd ). The wall was completely smudgy, the air conditioning full with dust. After we at the front desk had complained, they gave us a different room, this was but also dirty, so they asked us a further room to, which unfortunately either clean was, we in this then but but remained, because we thought, that another room exactly dirty would be, as the other both. With the request for full cleaning of the room, which one us several times for the next day insured had, remained we then and went dinner. The room was also on the next day not cleaned, on the contrary, we even had 2 huge cockroaches as roommates! During dinner there were unfortunately not wide choice, the quality was mediocre, no decoration, carelessly, the armchairs were full stains. On the ceiling was each 2. lamp does not, or was not at all available. For breakfast on the next day it was unfortunately so on, little choice, no juices. This changed however in the next couple of days with rising number of guests. Suddenly you had for breakfast the choice of 2 juices, the tables, on which the food was mounted, were decorated and there was considerable more choice. We find it however sad, so you the service from the number of guests conditional. The same was true with the entertainment, at first there were not any, after a couple of days there was at least pool gymnastics, where we during the next theme. The pool was very big, you could really good swimming, it was but also the only positive. Everywhere were tiles cracked, partly missing fliesenstücke, the plastikstreben of the overflow were broken or in part not at all available. The beach chair mattresses by a private employees brought. It was however disgusting, in this mood to put, as it stains only so covered in. The hand towels were reasonable. Further work on the most public toilets the conditioner not. The public showers were extremely dirty, soap there was only rarely, although soap dispenser were available! The pool bar was not at all open, thus you had to always front bar walking, around to get something to drink to get. Also here everything was extremely dirty and run-down. The hotel complex itself was very big, but fully run-down, obviously, since the construction of the hotel nothing for the maintenance done. Almost all lamps had holes in the glass, lanterns were crooked, ashtray (or whatever it was) were broken, the path, as i have already mentioned, were extremely rough. The information, that it only 100 meters to the beach would be correct, but nowhere written, that one out of the hotel and a street had to cross, to this is. This was not on the photos in the catalog from maps. The beach was thus public and therefore also for locals usable. Loungers there was no, although that was described. Unfortunately was the beach unusable, since this completely dirty (cans, waste, dead rats, broken shoes, along the beach barracks, where people used to have). The waves are extremely high, the water was therefore nothing special clean, stray dogs there was in crowds. There was a possibility, something to drink, which we did not use however, since this 'beach bar' (if you can even call it that, more like a shack) extremely run down was. Directly next to the 'beach bar' there was just so a dredger, what is also very unappealing was. Generally the beach more like a field, on the around tilled was (dredger- and tire tracks in the sand). If we on the final day our 'vacation' not at the front desk asked if, when we will pick you up (our flight went at 2:55 o'clock in the morning), this would probably not happen. Also in the rückflugmappe was no information. The last information in this book was the 06,01. 2013, we flew but only on 15 january 2013! After a short waiting time and some telephone calls we were told, that we at 22:30 o'clock from the hotel fetched and that we at 16 o'clock from our room outside and at this time our all inclusive-package ends (one has us really shortly after 16 o'clock the all inclusive -band truncated!). One us would therefore 16-22:30 o'clock, they are believe it or not 6,5 hours without food and without room there jilted! This is the largest insolence at all! Thank god we did from the disguise a few water bottles collected, the daily again in the room has been made available. At a charge naturally we would have liked everything, also the dinner we would have pay have to. The reason the receptionist was so, as we on arrival with the dinner have started, ends the package therefore with the lunch. (?) Which is for a reason? Never is such a thing in a vacation happen, never has someone the band just so truncated. Normally ends the all inclusive-package then, if you from the hotel out and in the taxi enters, which to the airport takes! The crowning conclusion of this 'vacation' was however an other. We asked a german couples, us a drink to order, since we were otherwise for pay need. Everything not a problem, the beverages arrived and when we adopted and on the way to the taxi made, ran us the waiter and said, we must drinks pay, what back i an almost hysterical fit got, since we these beverages not had ordered. All explanations helped nothing, except, that we insulted were. We paid the beverages in the final outcome not, but the fact, that everything in this hotel so bad was and we even scold to, brought the last straw. With such a termination, be the guests in future from stay! read more

It was our first time in Sri Lanka. Near arrival at the hotel us first noticed, that you hardly any people looks, although the hotel a big hotel is. The front desk me at the start a little shocked, because it was different than i expected. (completely, very simple and old). The staff are friendly and because of the small occupancy there were many service staff around us and served very quickly. The food was varied and very good seasoned. You have always found something. The rooms (bungalow) are newly renovated and very big. So big room we have never ... had. The bathroom is very nice newly made and on request in our opinion we have within 10 minutes for our daughter an extra bed received. The outside area often for hochzeitsaufnahmen used and the garden is very nice. However the hotel has gotten old. By the pool are the tiles partially out broken and for dangerous corners especially for the price children to the doom will be. The pool as such is actually very nice laid out. The public toilets the nightmare. There is urgently a renovation necessary! (conditioners only now and then, seat remember at a train station toilets). The beach was, as mentioned in previous reviews described, a catastrophe, but you could make something of it. All together we would this hotel not any longer visit, as it is located in the west and after conversations with other vacations it should in the south more beautiful beaches and better weather give. If you have a little money invested, as with the bungalows yes success, could the hotel to new gloss shine. read more

At the entrance to the hotel we have misgivings. Unfortunately it has also been confirmed. Our 1. Room had a bath tub and toilet the cards rims of dirt only so covered in. The beautiful Lagoons by the hotel ... complex winds. From the room from nice to look at, but if you along runs. A stench without same and mold. Luckily we had not our room. The pool was reasonable. Nice large, but in the afternoon came more and more dirt. The crow are already annoying. The later, ever more. Thus springs in the pool to find. The beach is the trip not worth it. We were with the feet in it. Always, the red flag. The waves were enormously high. In my opinion the hotel is not for a beach vacation recommendable. Otherwise is nowhere written, that a street to cross, to to the beach to come. We'have never been to a country visit, where on tip waited respectively called for. The hotel we have booked, because it amongst others a 100% rate of further recommendation has. This was it however not fair. The food is great and the staff ( no matter wether pool boy, waiter and barman) fulfilled almost every wish. However the nordasiatischen tourist with excessive tips the prices broken. The rooms are pretty huge, however partially outdated and handling mold in the joints on. The pool is also nicely arranged, but crow occupied, the entire environment and the loungers along with the cushions vollsch ** * en. This will also the pool contaminated, while obviously too few ... done is. In the Border area of the pool are rock broken and very sharp, as well as some tiles in the pool. The land itself is worth a trip and one can confidently on Fernando ( in front of the Hotel Palm Bay) and its' small trains' tours go back. Because of a overbooking our main hotels we are for one day in the palm Bay have been accommodated. It is a nice hotel with bungalows (each 4 room) the rooms, as well as the bathroom were new and modern. There is a big pool, however swimming here very often many crows. This is definitely not so nice. To the beach you have to the hotel leaving. The beach section is small and not a gem. The restaurant is open design and offers enough space. There was delicious dishes. In comparison to other hotels the selection was limited. To our ... time was this hotel however also not fully booked. In the evening there were live music, the entertainment contributed. The staff were continuous very friendly except for the bell boy, the tips not fine. The communication took place too many in English. For excursions wait on the way to the beach locals, of course also speak German. Because of our one day long stay I can only a begrentze assessment when you leave. read more

Club palm Bay is a bungalow complex, directly at a wonderful lagoon and the beach located. The area is wonderful laid out, as we our vacation there spent, was low season and it was very quiet, the food is every day very delicious and diverse, the Bungalowa are newly built and very big, however there are here and there small points of complaint. - the pool had partly broken tiles and defective lamps (from which the cable hang out), These two complaints we have hotel management reported, they should as quickly as possible fixed are - the overlays on the ... sunbeds by the pool are a couple of days older and you can see that you because of many different stains also at (at least you get every day a pool-towel provided) Reason but are amongst others a swarm of crows, the pool every day several times to your refreshment use. The rooms are for singhalesische standards very clean, but you discovered already here and there small dirt stains, the from the staff just overlooked are. So if you on the floor.     So large bungalows/ rooms had we still nowhere! Furnished nicely, good, clean mattresses, newly renovated. The bathroom was european 5 star standards-with tropendusche, grohe mountings, villeroy & boch furniture. Water was always hot & cold available! Safe in the room Kettle with coffee and tea Terrace right on the lagoon - just amazing!

    There is although it is only a main restaurant with buffet - the is however really sufficient! The food is at any time more than varied and meet every taste. We have in 14 days not even a try, we didn't like :-) it was from all local dishes and always also something for everyone, which typically for Sri Lanka was. And the tablecloths were not clean, but without grumbling changed, if you the waiters drew attention. As mentioned, the employees are in this hotel very sharp!

    The staff is definitely friendly, always smiling, always friendly-all spoke good English, many even German! The cleaning of the rooms left from and to to be desired, the room boy but it was hard. Laundry very cheap and good! Is worthwhile, not so much with increasing, and more time wash to leave. So one has more freigewicht for souvenirs :-) The doctors (clinic st. Maria nursklinik ) is very good, the physicians speak good English, the examination, diagnosis was perfect Had us with the tour operator about the condition of the beach have complained (oil, trash, poor condition of the sun screens etc.) , but nothing. FTI I would never book it again!

    Access to the internet as good as not possible, only in the entrance area on some days. Beach as already described: unterallersau! The pool should urgently renovated/renovated, the cleaning left also to be desired (1 time the week and also there only sporadically) If you have not in the sea swim, should the pool at least reasonable his. The sun loungers were partly really disgusting, very filthy of the millions of crow, the pool people... The hotel was very clean, the pool very big and well divided. The pool was approximately 45 meters long. Otherwise there were beach chair mattresses and towels. The water was very clean. Light and shadows all in all we have a beautiful relaxed vacation stayed at a hotel that is in a remote location. the hotel has 3.5 star in our opinion. the bungalows are very large but simply furnished, safe, fridge, kettle, air conditioning and 2 bottles of water a day are available. The plastic curtain in the bath tub for showering mold at. Apart from that was every day our room well cleaned and our bed very nice with flowers decorated. You required an adapter for electricity. to the sea we are only once because the beach is very ... dirty and the water or sand polluted by oil is our opinion, furthermore you have to leave the hotel area to the sea to reach. There is also no possibility spontaneous to get there. The beach chairs and a boy drinks on request to the beach this gives but also immediately again way. The pool is all in all reasonable but there is a very large Danger, because the missing or broken overflow grid. Many beach chairs were partly old and the cushions by the staff to be very dirty. You get the drinks brought to your beach chair and pool area. About the food you can say you always found something a tasted. There are some very spicy dishes prepared to be. ( delicious) in the breakfast will always eggs freshly roasted unfortunately, there was only one sort cheese or sausage. We have twice a gala dinner by the pool tried the first time we had shrimp eaten it was also very good inclusive service in the second time we write it eaten the offer was not our cup of tea the service. We spent the Beginning December 10 days in this hotel and we were thrilled. The room was great clean and renovated. Every evening we got flowers on our bed. The food is very diverse and every day there was new to choose from. There is a massive buffet and next door is served every evening freshly cooked, where you can watch. The pool is reasonable, in some places were a bit in need of renovation. When we were on site but were some renovation Work (pool bar was replenished, etc.). Furthermore there was really lots of offers at trips! ... Really great! All together, we could only recommend this hotel recommend! It was a great stay and a great hotel with really very, very friendly staff! read more
