Magnificent vacation at the Algarve

The Algarve is the southernmost region of portugal. The rock formations and the beach with fine sand pleased us. The hotel and the whole environment were perfect and are very recommendable. Summer heat around the 26 degrees celsius and still pleasant water temperatures have the vacation rounded.
Problematic and little relaxing were, however, the return-due to the stopover and long stay in Lissabon. Extremely was the return flight, amongst others by a delay of the aircraft in Lissabon: 2 o'clock in the morning get up, evenings at 19:30 o'clock back in our hometown. read more

Hotel of average size, very well maintained condition, everything very clean, guest structure was very mixed, due to the time of travel-hardly any children and young people, very quiet, we had booked only breakfast, quality was good, but hardly variety, for one week it was ok. read more

The hotel is already a bit older, but by the oriental style and the well maintained condition it looks more stylish as old. The hotel works beginning September not very busy and rather quiet. The rooms are tastefully decorated. Breakfast you could theoretically on the terrace, but this was rather poor-that is in other hotels this category often beautiful and comfortable solved. In this respect the hotel appears to be a little lifeless. The garden bar looks more like a theoretical decor. read more

The hotel lies in the first row to the beach. This is a somewhat adventurous stairs. The pool area is very nice, with direct sea view. We had only booked accommodation and breakfast and all I can also only recommend. In the area surrounding the hotel, there is numerous restaurants with very good food. The breakfast was sufficient, not more. In the two weeks our stay there was zero variety. Eventually you can have a variety cheese and the three types of sausage also not see more. Is positive, that always fresh fruit gave. As we have seen, is the ... choice evenings at the buffet not straight sumptuously. Therefore we can only advise against half board from.
The hotel itself is very nice, the beds are new. Only of the kids kitchen in the room you looked their age. When booking should you eighth, a room in the second or third floor. Ours was in the third and had lateral view of the sea.
If you to Lissabon or Sevilla want, you should with a rental car make. So you have more time for the city. Precondition however a GPS, without you'll find yourself not by right. Apart from that can we sailing tour grottenbbesichtigung recommend. The westalgarve you should definitely with a rental car explore! read more

We had booked a room with direct sea view (TUI) at the front desk we were told then, that it for TUI travelers no rooms with sea view, thanks to our Rep thanks to Mrs was that we got refunded the extra charge. Breakfast, well (ham) there was a sort of sausage, and a sort of cheese, little fruit, we were told, that extensive renovations place 2010/2011, is necessary, because the hotel is getting old already. read more

The hotel itself is in very good condition, not too big nor too small and from the outside by far the best in the vicinity. In addition, very clean and in a quiet area of Praia da Rocha, but near the centre and the harbour. During our time of stay there were mainly British, German and Portuguese guests. read more

The holiday was just great. The hotel is in An ideal location. Close to the tourist road but rather a bit quieter. The restaurants around the hotel are the most amazing, right in front of the hotel is the busstop. The excursions are also great. Definitely not "gypsy market'. You can save the 20 Euro. On the market, there is nothing to buy and everything smells. connect with our Submarine trip was super great. The beach is huge and has plenty of room around it. Is not crowded. Breakfast is not great. The coffee came from the machines and is ... not edible. Husband but in the room a small kitchen and a cook yourself. I would recommend the hotel and would love to go back past. read more

The hotel was generally clean and for the most part (the facade had crumbled in some places) in a neat condition. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, even the dishes are washed by the cleaning lady. Only once did a cockroach get lost in our bathroom, but in southern countries this is not unusual. The roof terrace was, unfortunately, hogged by some large sea gulls, which have spread out their dirt generously over the entire surface of the terrace. Too bad, because you can get a very nice view of the beach from up there. The large fountain in ... the entrance hall was in operation only once during out ten day stay. On the ground floor some smaller construction works were done, which we were not disturbed by (no construction noise)Most guests were retirees, we have significantly lowered the average age.A very big drawback was the breakfast which was, not by any stretch of the imagination, worth 4 stars. For 10 days there were 2 kinds of cold cuts and cheese, no Nutella, the coffee was undrinkable and the "fresh" fruit were clearly from a can. Every 2 days there were either scrambled eggs and bacon or scrambled eggs and beans. The selection left a lot to be desired. The cocktail bar is recommended, we enjoyed some very tasty cocktails here, which were lovingly prepared. read more

The complex is nicely located, as it is close to the beach, with a clean pool and lawn. Room (86 supposedly) large, partly with a small kitchen = hotplate + fridge + some dishes. Somewhat Moorish inspired, thereby more pleasing than the hotels close by, with their ice-cold marble rigidity and no pool in the sun.Cleanliness in order, with small flaws (strong vinegar cleaner). Unfortunately, on 2 afternoons there was no water in the room for several hours, because renovation works were being done during pre season, announced at very short notice. Beautiful (roof) terraces, but not suitable in ... the blazing sun.Due to the 360 degree view, you get a sea view in almost every room, outshining all the large concrete hotels of the rest of Praia da Roche, Breakfast included, half board is recommended, although no star rated restaurant: only a few €s for which you get adequate food, otherwise eat out somewhere or add some more spices yourself. The water system in the courtyard is probably most valuable during the hot season. read more

We had the misfortune to have booked over Neckermann. In the description room with sea view, this means a partial view of the ocean. Either you can be lucky over the ventilation system and the delivery entrance to stay across the street from a cafes. No complaints at the reception of the tour operators brought it out. Never again this hotel for the tour operator. read more

Unfortunately, the overall condition of the hotel a bit worse. The cleanliness in the room and bathroom left to be desired. The construction work had caught us full ( ROTARY hammer, knock - the whole range! ). As part of reconstruction should be the wonderful, a bit oriental flair ( mosaic everywhere) modern facilities fall prey. There was unfortunately Zoff back at the "Direct ocean view", the Neckermann so does not offer. Bad luck when you get caught a partial view of the ocean with permanent current Abluftanlage in front of the balcony. With a charge of 15 Euro per ... day was a change. Great is the kitchenette, but needs to new decorated. You cannot beat the garden and beach!! read more

If Neckermann promised not sea view! archived

We booked the trip not over Neckermann, would be the assessment probably even more positively fancy. Instead of the guaranteed Meeresblickes in writing and we could watch the hustle and bustle of neighboring Terrassenkaffee. On request, we found out that this from Neckermann specially selected rooms are. This was confirmed the, local competent tour guide. In reality means you if Neckermann not "view of the sea" writes, this can also be sea view from the side from the balcony and if you can see a bit of the sea, one of the as a sea view. If the view so ... it didn't matter of traffic and is not mind with this company is well cared for. We at the front desk with many friendly words managed to change rooms and stayed then, 2 rooms, not more directly on the street. The hotel is very nice overall location; to the fine sandy beach and the Holzbohlenuferpromenade is up a hotel's steps. Our room was spacious with a small kitchenette (at the time worn); the beds were separated and can be moved together, not as it in the middle a dessert for both beds. The closet is huge, plenty of hanging were also available. TV (flat screen) had 3 German channels - ZDF, RTL SAT1 (but who needs TV, if you the fun hustle and bustle of Terrassenkaffee should watch until late in the night). The bathroom, with shower, toilet, bidet and 2 Waschplätzen, was clean and in good condition. We had booked half-board, don't recommend that. The breakfast is ok, there is also every morning fresh fruit available. In the evening there was a four course meal, which by the waiters 4 -star moderate celebrates the taste test first but could not withstand. The 1 course consists of gewürfeltem, fresh vegetables and eggs, meat or Fischanteil and Fertigdressing. The soup was every day a new name, but leeks, watercress and Chinese soup are identical and after the third time we had really enough. The main course was given the choice is "meat" or "fish'. Another plus was the dessert: fresh fruit, compote, pudding or cake and you could decide if you smiled at them the waiter was friendly, he suggested a scoop of ice cream. The food was a free glass of house wine served for couples and even a whole bottle. Area information, Praja da Rocha and Portimao is no Algarve highlight. it is a car is recommended for exploring the sights are well signposted. It remains the parking issue and you are forced to park a few blocks away and hope it safely in the morning it. read more

We are avid Algarve holiday makers and were rather disappointed with the holiday in the oriental. There is no sea view for all inclusive tourists (according to the receptionist), although the tour operator with the booking. Maybe you should better specified. Praia da Rocha to built with hotels and too loud ., the hotel but too boring. No events in the bar, hairdresser and so on.

The hotel is by the size and the location just perfect. Our room was the largest, that we have had in a hotel, even with a fully equipped kitchen and a large balcony with outstanding views of the sea and a little area. You can tell him show its age, but still everything was in all very clean with extremely friendly and unobtrusive staff. We had half-board, but we didn't do it again would, as the dinner (with choice of 2 dishes: fish or meat) somehow always tasted the same and up to 2 times was really no really unimpressive. ... Breakfast was plentiful, but unfortunately no variation. That would be the only thing we did not like so much. read more
