We stayed in golden sands 3 building. In the hotel our expectations.
The hotel is however very badly soundproofed.
Wheelchair users must the back entrance of the parking. The light switches etc. Are wheelchair too high.
The hotel lies really centrally located and thus for 15-20 aed by taxi in with many objects of interest arrived.
The shuttle to the beach had to be reserved. The internet access worked in the room (via a private cable) very good. We took on, that we all 230 v adapter have, but this was not the case. There is a larger version in ... Dubai.
The television program Dubai-tv is only in arabic available, so is the information about the region a bit difficult. Different newspapers but in the foyer from (also in english). read more

A cheap, good hotel as a starting point for the visit dubai. A little far away of public transportation, but there are always taxis available.
The hotel itself is inside in the hallways a bit shabby, however the rooms compensate. Very spacious and friendly, safe, large fridge and a small kitchenette are available, as well as a tv and comfortable sofa. Which was nice, there were nescafé, tea, milk and sugar in bags available (also a kettle is there), the also are refilled.
The balcony leaves much to be desired, it is tiny and the pool is a joke, however ... there is a free shuttle bus to the beach.
The breakfast buffet is excellent.
Conclusion, for a city break ideal, as pure holiday unsuitable. read more

The hotel golden sands 3 is located in the district of bur Dubai. It is located on a side street in the complex the golden sands apartment hotels. The first impression of the lobby is good with friendly staff 24 hours. English are absolutely necessary, since the staff only english and arabic speaks. With a bit of luck you will meet the night porter, even spoke german. Problems were solved immediately. The apartment -rooms are big enough and sufficiently with the charm of a somewhat older hotel. A kitchenette with elements, refrigerator and washer-dryers supplemented the furnishings. The tv gets ... no german channels. The air conditioning is effective, however, as in all the warmer countries, to bedtime to get used to. The breakfast focuses on the many guests from the arab and indian space and is for europeans a bit of getting used to. The proximity to inexpensive restaurants in the malls makes this downside up for it. Several supermarkets are in the immediate proximity with a rich offer. Excellent is the location in the city centre with great transport links. All means of transport, such as bus (also the red bus for city tours) and metro are on foot in maximum 10 minutes to reach. If you don't want to walk, one of the many coloured marked taxis. Great value. All in all, for a city break, in which mostly on the way is, a cheap hotel with acceptable amenities. read more

Great star hotel! Golden sands 3!

The hotel is in the district of bur Dubai. It is located on a side street in the complex the golden sands apartment hotels (4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11.). This review refers to the golden sands 3. gs 5 is attached. Attractive lobby with very friendly staff 24 hours. With english basic knowledge everything is complete. The night porter even spoke german. Problems were solved immediately. Even a network cable is us made available, as a hair dryer, if necessary. This, everything free of charge. In the lobby and in the restaurant free wi-fi on the rooms only ... internet access. Had only booked breakfast. The room was big enough with a balcony. In the hotel there was in the lobby a small café, a rental car service and tour services. The main nationalities were british, dutch, french and german.
Finally, you can say, you are in an arab country with international crowd. That naturally also something else to eat gives, for example indian, is normal. The world revolves not only german tourists. For a 3 star hotel in arabia i can't say anything bad. If silicon joints around the tap and something angedunkelte edges disturb, as well as curtains, the somewhat spotted are, or a breakfast buffet, without cheese and only with a sort sausage, or the restaurant cafeteria style describes, should rather in the many other 4 or 5 star hotels, the in Dubai are available. This then but also at least twice as much costs. The available service was however likewise 4-or 5-star in Europa. Do not think, that a 3 star hotel in Turkey or Spain as well as good! We felt pudelwohl, care and in good hands there. read more

The hotel 'golden sands' consists of altogether 11 building complexes, which has the entire borough al located on mankhool are spread out. In addition to mingle still some ' schwesterhäuser ' of the 'silver sands'.
One sees the hotel clearly, that it was already a few years on the embossment. We ourselves were in the gs 5, have but also once a room in the gs 3 visited, where however the same picture offered.
The visitor structure is multicolored mixed-relatively many indians and arabs have in the rooms a ' dauerdomizil ' found - accordingly preparing evenings also from the ... rooms a geruchsmix from various curry over the whole floor-)
The rest of the ' short time pre-packaged and stopover tourists' come mainly from England, the chinese language area and from Germany.
The meeting point of cultures is evenings by the pool, where you quickly and like to go to conversation comes. read more

We had booked with two persons a 2-room studio about 66 square meters booked. (Meyer's). The studio was in Golden Sands 3 and was as described in the catalog furnished and clean. Apart from that it is just a older city hotel. Breakfast rather mediocre and on Indian orientated. But toast, egg, Quark and fruit there was every day. 20 minutes on foot the metro station and the supermarket.
Already when booking must be clear to you, that you have a middle class city hotel and not a 5 star resort, there is no mean surprises. read more

Not great hotel, however value for money is good. The furnishing the studios has gotten old, the bed was relatively small. The food was in buffet form offered, the choice wasn't massive but tasted reasonable. In front of the hotel waited always private taxis, but twice the normal city taxis cost. Reasonably priced alternative to the expensive city hotels. read more

Older hotel in the middle of the city. Positive: the price negative: little variety at the breakfast, we also need-housekeeping took towels, but needed a new, no toilet paper, the bathroom was cleaned-bathroom was never completely rotten, smelled of mold, dirty, mattress completely mountings-air conditioning smelled strongly of mildew and mold-all very badly soundproofed read more

the pictures in the eintschlägigen internet or buchungsportalen deceive. the apartment hotel is at an emergency shelter recommendable. The furniture smelled unpleasant, the whole complex resembles a Trabantenstatt the water in the swimming pool smelled also every day unpleasant; perhaps, because 8 buildings 2 pools to share? I had first a room, in which the bidet directly (!) under the washbasin was affixed. Only after intensive talk to manager of the hotel you came to me then. and gave me a other. Through and through absolutely unloving.
Absolutely not recommendable. staff often made the impression as if it was totally ... swamped. read more

All in all, it is for the price of 72, -EURO per night and double room for Dubai acceptable. The room was very large and good enough, well equipped with kitchenette (who needs it in the vacation), but no unexceptional. It takes just two chairs with out. We were able to no noise disturbance from the neighboring rooms, firm, but perhaps also had the luck with this. The service was, also at the reception, good, room always clean, also if, as other reviews have mentioned, in the bathroom were to see.
The pool is not worth mentioning, you should give ... oneself, also on the roof of the GS5.
Very bad was the breakfast buffet: only toast, these days alternately mini croissants or muffins, always only a sort sausage, art Mortadella, diluted juices from the container, elongated scrambled eggs. But a lot of cereals-selection for the, the so-called what be breakfast.
Directly opposite the entrance a small supermarket five golden Sands, very inexpensive all daily necessities (except for alcohol of course) offers. At the Mankholl road including Spinneys several shopping malls, very decent supermarket.
The hotel is an ideal starting point for explorations of all kinds, whether Creek, old souks, from metro station to Atlantis, etc. everything with taxi within 2 fare to reach. Next to many experiences were our highlights: dinner at the Hyatt (360-degree restaurant with sensational buffet), Arabic night bastakia nights, Abra ride on the creek, open day at the beach.
Something disappointing was the ' Atlantis 'and dissuasive the jumeirah beach hotel. Spread the Dubai Marina lying just something flair.
We changed after four nights planned to down town Dubai. read more

For short stays can really recommend this hotel. The hotel offers in the evening food in form of a buffet. Although it is not really great, but eatable. At least one is full. Here are 14 eur/Pax for converted about alcoholic free drinks (juices from the automat) including. Alcoholic drinks were it in this hotel no. Unfortunately are in the immediate vicinity no really good restaurants as an alternative. A small supermarket is in direct proximity and also to reasonable prices. If you want to see what, with the taxi one is well-advised. The prices were also OK
Shuttle to ... beach is on days fully booked, so that we always drove with the taxi. To be recommended is a city tour with the big bus. Tickets are it with the suppliers in the lobby.
As I said, for a short stay up to a maximum of four days to recommend. We want to go to Dubai on each case. But for longer and then a beach hotel. read more

The hotel offers apartments and the stars. In the room we had a lot of space. Sitting room plus bedroom. The leisure facilities with two pool (on two buildings) is for a city hotel also not bad. The food can be seen.
The only drawback is it, however. We had an apartment facing a courtyard. There was even with the Windows closed the noise of cool aggregates to hear from the courtyard.
Another tip: to golden Sands three questions. My GPS had it not on it. And nine buildings in various roads a detailed description is the most important thing. ... Some tour operators is the map even pointed out. read more

You could hear the chairs of the guests here with us in movement, if you get up from their tables. Furthermore, the generators are the air conditioning so loud, almost not possible is that sleep. Each has its own generator on his balcony. It attracts from all corners. If your neighbor is from his room, the own door wobbled so, as someone would knock on the door. The staff is friendly and helpful. German TV channels are not in it it rather programme. As security had ADE we 300 via MasterCard.
