The hotel is now the melia peninsula.
The service is as in all melia -hotels good. The food is varied and fresh. We were furthermore in japanese restaurant - times something else and food was good.
The beach is wide and clean.
Our room was only approximately 30 meters from the beach way, so that the view very nice was. Large room with a large bathroom.
The sea is clean, only not so turkis as other on Cuba.
Altogether a beautiful hotel, the a few bodies once again a fresh coat of paint need would, but nevertheless without any problems ... recommendable is. read more

We have in Cuba our honeymoon. After we another hotel (4 *), and after three days the hotel due to various unzumutbarkeiten change, we had in the tryp peninsula a honeymoon suite-all-inclusive. Size of the room was perfect! The furniture were all in perfect condition. The cleaning lady every day cleaned, the towels changed and so on. All great! In the room there was an ironing board and iron, 2 bathrobes, safe was available for free. Staff super nice alert-even without every day the tips. The mini bar was every day filled up with soft drinks, water and beer. Shower ... and tub separately. Currency exchange near the front desk read more

Only ko-criterion are in this hotel the rooms. Very run-down, old furnishing, as well as moisture in all areas. Our complaint concerning a broken balcony door and broken toilet in the one week stay ignored. Apart from that this hotel is definitely recommendable. Wonderful well-kept park, great restaurants, good food and great beach. Very friendly staff. Entertainment super, live music in the lobby and good evening entertainment. Entertainers always present but not pushy. A special mention for our TUI-tour operator ernesto the us very helpful for me because of its friendly and helpful art.
With renovated rooms would have the ... hotel his five stars in any case deserved. read more

All employees were very friendly and helpful. The cocktails leave to be desired, but that didn't bother us. Some has gotten a bit old ( umbrella for example) is however not in my opinion bad. It is a very family-friendly hotel, with very well maintained, dreamlike complex. The cleanliness was OK. We were also in other 4 to five star hotels in Cuba and the tryp was by far the best service and the best cleanliness. I would definitely again go. read more

The area is large but nevertheless very well arranged. The gartenanlanlage is also furthermore as already described has been a real highlight. Complex like rooms are very well-kept. Rooms are very spacious.
Ok a renovation the room would be required, since the furniture but are somewhat older. Meal times in buffet form were for us totally reasonable, as for us there was also always something. Here, of course, the spirits.
Nationalities:
Canadians, English, french, resources and latin american, dutch and German all ages were represented.
Except for some few exceptions it would be the whole time quite quiet on the ... complex. ( no Ballermann atmosphere) read more

Beautiful in park located hotel. Fantastic beach with palms and ageing Palmenschirme. They are just a little holes. Cocktails were to the lobby bar poor quality ( bad offer, diluted consistency ) a five star hotel not worthy. For a Caipirinha ( not on the list of beverages stood ) you had to the limes from the chef organize, kleinschneiden and then to the bar. In the hotel was a limes emergency. The offer in the remaining bars was still thin. No Karibik flair available or from the hotel not wanted. Sporting activities, as archery or Karabinerschießen must one inquire. ... EN alemán (in German) not so easy. We had to in 18 days the key cards thrice renew leave, because our door no longer open. To Varadero-city are it 15 kilometer. Day ticket tourist bus 5 CUC, taxi 15 CUC and with the' egg' Negotiation. Trip with the catamaran to Cayo blank was OK. Although the island not Blanco was. The seaweed was already several days at the beach between the chairs and stinking to. Overall a good vacation. read more

The hotel lies relatively quiet at the end the hotel area from Varadero. The complex is extensive and has a well-tended garden with a lagoon-style pool. The rooms were not really clean. The standard of the food was not hotel category. read more

We were already 2 times in this hotel, we were very satisfied. However one must now and then with a few CUC have to help. But this is Cuba.
Our stay was always 4 weeks, over this time we were only spoiled and so we can only recommend this hotel.
Fit simply visit the warm people, a few words in Spanish and the Cubans on your side.
Definitely the shows in the evening around 0. 90625 respectabilities. Terrific. There are 15 different Showvarationen. Daily enjoy, truly excellent dancers, as well as much Cuban music.

Positive were the very nice complex, the exterior view of the building, the available from insect screens and the efficiency of the hotel's own doctor, as well as close proximity to beach. Our positive experiences weigh but not nearly the negative on. The rooms were although large but worn, much worse than a 3 *-hotel ( however we had only one experience). We had 2 rooms, our experiences meeting on both.
They smelled very musty, the comforter was stained, the room was the toilet bowl, very filthy, the shower was still acceptable straight. In another room were fridge and shower ... more than unappetizing.
The drawers of the closet hardly went on and on. In Gaderobenzimmer lay on the not closed ceiling centimeter-thickly the dirt. Not to forget are the cockroaches, small and large, even large in the schreibtischschublade. The beach nice but too narrow, therefore too small for the many guests. Hardly change of towels. In 2 weeks not once the rooms wiped, only superficial swept. The staff were overstrained. For us it was a horror holiday and waited only finally to leave. However is Cuba even very worth seeing and the mentality admirable. Also one is there very reliably, now at least still. We were already 8 years ago on Cuba on vacation in another hotel, in which we have no negative experiences had made, otherwise we would have not again back. From category 5 * may not be called, not even from 3 *. Luckily are not all hotels so bad. read more

For Cuban proportions the hotel has really deserved all the stars.
three star
the complex is very large and small bungalows divided. We had the block 25 and the room number 2543 with a view of the pool (1 floor).
if You in the afternoon peace (?) needs this block not really take, as by the pool loud entertainment took place. That didn't bother us, never, since we were on the day as good as never in the room were.
our room was very clean and in the bathroom partly 'patched', in other words the joints after repairs not completely ... clean joins. But honestly, you really on vacation. We had the Cuban peace and that's why we didn't really care!
the complex was extremely well-kept! Every day shrubs are cut, the way cleaned, in the morning at 7 o'clock the beach with a tractor plowed (the seaweed is dug under the sand), constant will cleaned. Partly lack of some chairs on the terrace the armrests, as under other also ' weekend-Canadians' come, the partly probably crude celebrating, because the hotel a pretty good disco, it really top current music. The management is however hard-working, this lack of boundary chairs etc. were always as quickly as possible to fix it.

we had all inclusive and includes in this hotel really everything! If the buffet didn't find anything here, it was your own fault-a huge big selection. We can'complaints in the other reviews' absolutely not understand. I can't imagine, that's just a guest a huge big selection at home. Very tastefully I think the Cuban dish with rice and beans to the dark ages.
we were at the Italian and the Mexican restaurant (here you have to pay in advance reserve -but without problems) there is also here nothing to moan about!

every day you will find in the room fresh coffee for the machine, and in the mini-bar is a 1 l bottle of water, 2 cans of coke and a tin beer. The beer tastes, the coke also, but the coffee not so much.

Great Hotel in fantastic beach location. The area is very well maintained, and the selection of food in the restaurants is good. From the hotel many trips to Havana, Pinar del Rio, Trinidad, etc. be booked. With the double decker bus you can see five CUC the whole of Varadero.
However, we have only once in 14 days, the exchange of the beach towels, as there was a problem with the laundry service. On the whole a very recommendable hotel! read more
