The hotel lies easily above sannen.
Here we felt really good. The rooms -, although somewhat old furniture are but very clean and well-kept - new bathroom.

A luxury hotel with zwiespältigem impression: the excellent sauna-/pool area contrasts with the ehrwürdigem charm of the 80. years, in the hotel built; the excellent cuisine and the fine restaurant/ breakfast fits hard to use as event -hotel for groups with mittwöchlicher disco until 02:00.
Not at all go the standard rooms with the busy through road nearby balcony and only access via spiral staircase over the bar /lobby/front desk. Different rooms like probably be better, but this one should not do that to himself. read more

If you want a typical swiss hotel, is available in the Steigenberger probably in the wrong place: there are hardly any swiss assisting and the ' pseudotracht' barely fit the swiss mountains. But if you are not disturbed, a great holiday in beautiful surroundings with a very good tourist offer.
The always very friendly service the employees, the excellent food, the nice fireplace bar with piano music during tea time, the overall good atmosphere and the nice view make the outdated equipment in the rooms (clearly visible signs of wear) more than made up for it.
The spa area has ... a large pool, a children sauna and a sauna for adults. In the latter have people from 18 years access, unfortunately gives it however many children, the area of adult sauna and visit the peace and quiet disturb. Considering, that sufficient room for children is available, it would not be necessary.
Without a car it needs good organisation, the scarce public buses to use (the hotel-own bus drives only ski from saanenmöser, which in my opinion for beginners less suitable than the ski area eggli or rellerli). read more

It was not my first visit to the Steigenberger hotel Gstaad-Saanen-but by far the best!
A beautiful renovated room with a view of the Rüblihorn, wonderful weather and friendly, motivated staff of the hotel me for a wonderful weekend from the working life in/out privileges. Everything was just right!
Culinary no wishes are left unfulfilled: the dinner in the think beiz is a must ( food and view!) and the breakfast buffet the next morning can simply no wishes left.

We had 2 nights and wanted then for 3 days 'move on'. Already on the first evening was clear, that we the remaining days stay here and it was thank god also possible. The care was from the front desk on arrival on the whole serving staff ( lounge, restaurant, dining room ) to the director exemplary. The ambience of the hotel ( for example the 'tunnel', the entire wellness-area, the restaurant 'Think beiz') a remaining for our well-being. And the whole in a beautiful area! read more

I have for the first time here vacation and am from the hotel thrilled. water aerobics, Yoga and led hikes are provided free of charge. The director invited to a tour behind the scenes a, which was very interesting. Indoor pool and spa are recently renovated and except for the lack of smell in the aroma steam room, everything was OK.
The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and the four courses -dinner was excellent. Tea and cakes in the afternoon we could not every day, as we if the weather is nice Traveled.
The staff were very friendly ... and accommodating.
Gladly I would stay here again holidays. read more

Rooms are strong ageing. Value for money is good not. Extra charges high. Discover bicycles must 35:00 CHF. p. Tag. Be paid extra. Customer service still leaves many wishes open. read more

Very beautifully located house, under good management and kitchen! Bus station right at the house. Private car is however pleasant for the area. Wonderful excursions and hikes are possible, even under management.

At seven in the morning... The wonderful, swimming pool ready, and, from 15 o'clock the spacious, really great sauna area the guests of the hotel evenings to at 22 o'clock available! The AAA -breakfast buffet leaves nothing to the imagination, also in the' quiet' mid season is extremely rich and plentiful served. If the complex ( for example furniture) rather dated looks, mind this-it seemed rather authentic in this lovely beautiful mountain world. Less suitable in my opinion: the Dirndl the German staff members. read more

Ageing complex, the rooms are shabby, the floor coverings worn and dirty.!
Right on the main street located!
Do not use the half board a will amount volt 45, -SFR as vouchers for the beiz compensated, unfortunately and completely incomprehensible for the mitgereiste daughter the vouchers not accepted and thus its is mine extra will be charged!
Unfortunately I verified the invoice only after Departure and so I got with my Tel. Complaint this information. And with a brazen Arguments and steadfastness of F and B manager' s, you get almost the impression, this is the case, the most ... normal thing in the hospitality industry!
This is the steigenbergsche hospitality-thanks, I do not!

The hotel has a very good service. Unfortunately the rooms are very worn and in particular the carpet is very old.
The service is very good!
Unfortunately there was at the Mittagskaffe a restriction on 2 piece cakes and they were very small cut. I found the also bad.
It is the winter sports region very nice! Unfortunately it is not logical as one is used to it! read more

Very nice winter hiking vacation with good tips of the front desk respectively from the hotel organized/ run hikes with free bus the start/end point of the hikes. In the fall come again. read more

beautiful hotel with stylish Lobby, large open fireplace; there is also every afternoon various types of tea and cakes ( included in the price).
International mixed clientele, conferences and families with children.
very pleasant atmosphere, restaurant in alp style, breakfast restaurant with terrace.
hotel was the beginning of the 80's built, very well maintained and clean.
restaurants, Lobby and room decor with timeless interior.
the wellness area recently renovated, the swimming pool has been renewed in the same style; from there is also available a special children SpA.
A complete renovation of the rooms was planned, I have 2 converted ... room (unfortunately only from the outside).
very recommendable the tour is in the hotel with ' behind the scenes' and subsequent aperitif. Lots of interesting Personal information atmosphere by the hotel director. read more

The second times and I am thrilled. Especially the sovereignty and formality of German meits profession Elli staff. I was responsible for a large group of travel companion and taste of the food were excellent. A small pain tip: on the balcony of the terrace you can head encounter painful. Small rooms with small balcony overlooking the valley towards, beautiful view of the valley, very small bath however appropriately with the charm and decor of the Sieebziger years. Otherwise very clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive service. read more
