Centrally located is the emperador good suitable for Madrid. On calle gran via, you can feel the lively Madrid. The metro is on your doorstep, however also on foot is the center good to explore to the Mercado desan Miguel. The service in the hotel, both concierge, as well as room service, was in line with the expectations. The breakfast was ok, now and then you had to after a chef for the omelet questions and also some positions were not so quickly refilled, but for spanish standards it was ok. The air conditioning of the hotel had a maintenance ... necessary, now and then it smelled in our room strange, otherwise was the bed good and the bathroom was tidy. A highlight was surely the pool on the roof, a true island in the large city. We found Madrid great, even if we in metro stolen were (the wallet with identification we got again, only the cash was gone, we nevertheless annoyed). read more

Had to reclaim my first room as it was very, very dark (at the very bottom, window into a shaft). My complaint was then treated very courteously. I received from the 2nd night a new room read more

The four star hotel is impressive, centrally located, good connection to the subway, clean, pleasant staff, multilingual front desk ( English is always, but several staff speak German ), pool on the roof, everything great, however. If you at the last-minute booking is a bit too cheap to the room is, is only the sogg. ' continental breakfast' ( rather 3-star standard). Against an extra charge from 19 €or full payment of the room stay one has requirement on the sogg. 'emperador B' (4-star standard, included egg, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, all prepared food, etc.). Whether the extra charge ... prozimmer? Per person? Is, I don't know exactly, I the price snapped open as another German couples this change wanted. Assumption: per room.
Classification is performed on the room price: double room 80 euros per night ( our price) was under the border. This information you can get without further at the front desk. This is the reason for the review 'rather good'! If the not care, if coffee/ tea, bread, cheese, sausage, yoghurt, fruit, muesli enough. The hotel we can, in last-minute, recommend. read more

The hotel is rather classically-conservative furnished. It's no longer new, but well maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. The audience is in an old and nationalities quite mixed. read more

The hotel lies from the location very good. The pool is very nice.
Large minus there was only a German television program and in a very bad quality.
Further downside is the breakfast. For fried eggs you paid about 5 Euro per day extra. The selection of the breakfast was also very modest every two star hotel in germany offers more. read more

Perfect hotel for a city break combined with a beach holiday. Pool was a dream. We had only booked bed. There are many possibilities to eat breakfast outside, breakfast in the hotel would have cost 20 €per person. The location was ideal, the metro is ten steps away. The Grand via is one of the main shopping streets, very busy. There is no noise with the windows closed. The room was clean. The only downside no German tv. We have felt ourselves very well. read more

All in all, for the high amount and a four-star hotel in Madrid, moderate service. If one makes vacation and little towns in the hotel really okay. Advantage is the very central location; metro almost directly in front of the hotel. read more

The front desk was very friendly, the front desk staff spoke good German and English. For breakfast there was always fresh fruit and enough cheese, ham and more. Wonderfully refreshing is the pool on the roof. Numerous attractions can be reached on foot, there are a lot of excellent restaurants which are not too expensive. Unfortunately on the 1 Day 5 minutes after my wallet stolen from my purse. Was your own fault, had a totally inappropriate bag with zipper carried sloppy. I had the most money and paper in the safe (free in the room!). There is so much ... to see. You stay as long as possible! read more

The hotel is located in the heart of the city on the Gran Via. You can easily walk to many attractions. However it is from early morning until late evening hectic and busy, also the Sunday. An experience is it anyway. In the hotel it unfortunately only breakfast but of good quality. Unfortunately we had a room facing the courtyard and the view was only on such an office limited. It has nothing from the street noise So. unpleasant was the air conditioning in the room, the actually only hot or cold could be adjusted and was quite noisy. When ... planning sightseeing tours the reception was a great help. read more

We can thoroughly recommend the hotel. Top are convenient location with the metro from the airport, cleanliness, pool, breakfast buffet. The rooms are very well maintained but different from the location to overlooking a interior light well, but quiet. With drawbacks are two gentlemen in the old at the front desk to rate with more awkward and distant behavior. The women there were very friendly and helpful. read more

Very nice hotel right on the Gran Via street, one of the main shopping streets and promenade of Madrid. With just one transfer from the airport in about 45 to 50 minutes from the hotel by metro (Placa de Espana, then about 3 minute walk). All major sights are within walking distance, but there were many buses keep it almost directly in front of the house, more metro stations are near. The old town is just around the corner, as well as many shops and department stores. The house has obviously been recently refurbished and has very nice rooms, partly ... furnished in a contemporary style, with all the amenities. My room was on the 8th floor. Floor, very quiet and offers a view on the royal residence palace, only a few hundred meters away. Also the public areas are all very nice, but rather in the classic Spanish colonial style. The trick is certainly the beautiful roof top terrace with a not huge, but medium sized and very nice pool. There is also a very nice cafeteria/bar and nice lounge sofas and plenty of sun-loungers - the location seems in Madrid very "in" to be anyway - is also with guests outside and locals and made a very nice impression, but it is also quite full. Especially wonderful to relax after a day of sightseeing (open until 21h00). It also has a nice view of Madrid. The staff is friendly and helpful, everything was quickly and without any problem. Internet services and luggage storage available. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, for Spanish standards this hotel category but a bit basic. The atmosphere in the breakfast-hall is cool. Incidentals, Approximate for telephone, were a bit high. But overall great location & good value for money. A nice getaway for halfday city tour by the pool on the roof. read more

The hotel is located in absolute top location. Comparable to the Ku'Damm in Berlin or the Jungfernstieg in Hamburg. The hotel is almost like all properties on Gran Via in wonderful architecture built. Madrid is luckily of damage were spared. The subway is within a 3 minute walk in several directions. Shopping and Szenegegenden are nearby. Directly adjacent to the hotel are the main cinemas and theaters etc. Central it really couldn't get. This central near of course the only drawback the street noise when the windows were closed for them. In the summer months there is but won't even ... care, as the heat definitely unbearable and only slept with air conditioner. If you're sensitive or of being afraid of people should avoid Madrid. Most guests were also tourists from Spain. We also heard a few German voices. The check-in went smoothly. Our room in the fourth floor. Floor (room 402 ) was very large and spacious. Towels were changed daily and the beds could be placed apart, what affiliated traveler is important. There were two Internetrechner on the first floor right next to the breakfast room. Rates I didn't know, paid on the room bill. In Rezeptionsnähe there was a W-LAN connection. In the room there was a free safe. The TV are Eurosport and RTL in German language department. Breakfast can be taken to 1030 hours. There was toast, croissants, baguette, cheese, meats and much more. Fruit was fresh and tasty (melon, orange and kiwi, etc. ). Don't forget the sparkling wine. The served scrambled eggs I don't advise eating. The breakfast room was at all times (3 times we have breakfast) is almost empty. The restaurant and the bar but we didn't use it, since in these areas was smoking. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the enclosed pool on the roof. This must be closed but some time. The whole area looked pretty zerwütet from. We paid for the room 143, - Euro per night. Hard to beat for the location. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. read more
