The hotel makes a gloomy impression, had rather the feeling in a 'property' to be, as in a hotel. The hotel made a clean impression. We had booked all inclusive. The average age lay about in 40 years and older, the probably due to the fact, that we at the end of september/beginning october went-no travel time for young people. read hotel review

The rooms not are not large, but sufficient. In our room there was a double bed (1.40 meters) and a single bed. Bath with a bath. Everything was functional. Refrigerator is available. The air conditioning works only, if the balcony door is closed. Apropos balcony... There is no... There is only a small protrusion, big enough, the shoes outside to store and the towels hanging space. 2 chairs and a table were in the room before the 'balcony' door. Really sit outside you can't!

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

There is a pool bar (at the beach no possibility 'fast mal' something to drink!). Also, there was no bottled water, which one to the beach can bring, you have to at the tiny kiosk by the pool buy! We filled just an empty bottle with juice from the automat (necessarily with water - the we are in a store-bought-thin, otherwise you can get a zuckerschock!) The restaurant was clean. The buffet is very well arranged. Two different types of meat and side dishes (vegetables, rice, kartoffelvarianten ). The choice is not large, but it tasted very good! Large salad bar! Breakfast gives it from 7:30 a. m. - with a bit of luck was the cay at 8:00 o'clock finished, if you've stayed already tea, had on tea bags to evade. Also very, very unusual was, that there was no honey was! Through the long tables reminded me the restaurant of a cafeteria.

The staff at the bars and in the restaurant was friendly, polite, a bit reserved. We have ourselves on english. The rooms were always super clean!

It is about 3 minutes to the beach walk, past a football field, where already times at 1 o'clock at night playing football, with floodlight. Shopping and entertainment are in the immediate proximity. Lots of bars and shops. Excursion possibilities weren't used by us, but boottrips and bus trips were offered. The hotel's private section of beach is very small, the loungers were but never fully occupied, which possibly at our travel time. The chairs and covers have already better days experienced, but it was still okay. The small beach was cleaned every morning. A sandy beach it was however not... Rather a sand-earth-mixture.

One speaks in this hotel(more guest house-max. 2 stars) a word of German, not even 'good day and goodbye!' the people at the front desk are so unfriendly, such a thing so far in no other hotel experienced. You are a German not at all respected, discriminated against nearly. The rooms are adequate and clean, the cleaning ladies are reliable and praising value to emphasize. To watch television one can only in Turkish, English, French, and Dutch. No German Transmitter at the start! The outdoor facilities are very cramped, the pool is very small and the spaces for sunbeds is ... totally dirty and with cat's dung polluted. If you want to eat, you have to put up with about 10 cats deal, all what abhaben want, in case its capacity short left, it can happen, that the plate half empty, because the cats also on the table jump, their hunger. The food itself was very delicious, well seasoned and there was a lot of vegetables and salads, unfortunately, it was often cold and fruit there was as good as not any. The selection of drinks was rather modest, if you extra wishes had, should pay! 50% English, 30% Netherlands, 10% Belgians, 5% Russians and 5% German the guest structure of all ages. read hotel review

Room was simple, but sufficient, small balcony with a chair. Dark furniture seemed overwhelming. Fridge was available, mini bar was empty, tv not in German.

  • Gastronomy

There was just a restaurant and a bar. Meals were well prepared and tasty, unfortunately often cold. Kitchen style was mixed, actually something for everyone.

Staff are not very friendly, has no knowledge of German. The waiters and the cleaning ladies are but very diligent and commendable to designate. Doctor is on site. Complaints will ignorriert.

Free time Offered not at all, no animation, no kids club. You could go shopping in gumbet already, but like so often overpriced and Toristenpreise, even in the pharmacy were the prices hourly different. Everywhere you will be ripped off, even if the price regular daraufsteht, which already is rare, you try you twice to calculate, just because one blond is. I even old decayed money turned on, now I can so some million-dollar yacht on port from Bodrum already explain. Beach and pool are not recommendable.

Gumbet is a suburb of Bodrum, which mainly of English and Dutch tourists that is, the primarily want to party and ' booze until the doctor comes.' The beach is about 300 meters away and is the dirtiest and verwahrlosigste beach, I have ever in Turkey seen. Never would I can only dream in this covered with waste sea for swimming gone! I can only recommend by bus to the center and the beautiful Bodrum with its wonderful flair and the great sights(castle mausoleum- theater- gates of the city) to enjoy. The other places in of the peninsula also all recommendable nonetheless, each place has its own charm as for example Turgutreis, where there is a great market returns.

So we often went out to eat and never on a all inclusive vacation so much money simultaneously issued. In two weeks there was not a only Time fish. on the terrace of the hotel we have not at all eaten, because leaving the table expect had, that one or more cats on the plates sat.

the staff were very friendly. This was however by mangelnen language skills negative compensated. Twice we a martini said, the was then within a few minutes, as long as it understood could. to the beach it went about 3a 400 meters on a sewer along. Depending on the wind direction smelled very unpleasant. It was in the brochure a gravel/ sandy beach offered, in the closer and further environment it was however only a Erdstrand , a strong garbage was. Only on the other End of the bay were a few hotels with a man made sandy beach. It was however about 4 kilometers away. To The center of gumbet. although it is only approximately 600 meters, you must however a steep approximately 100 meters long hill. That was just about to create. After Bodrum one must one about 6a 700 meters very steep Slope up asten. We have not managed to do this. Neither in internet still in the brochure we have a instruction found, that this spot for disabled not suitable.

I never wanted to visit turkey before, but after my experience at the Eken I am glad I went. I can't wait to book up again for next year. Nothing was a bother for staff, everything you could want was within walking distance, food and drinks on tap and lots of different nationalities there all mingiling happily together must do's = turkish bath and massage from Arken, and you must get sunset photos taken by Ican the photographer who works from hotel, you'll find them both sitting near the pool read hotel review
