We checked in for two nights in the Sofia a. during the check in our reason for the stay inquires and after the receptionist told, that the honeymoon were we got immediately room upgrade ( suite). Than in the however the, like us was declared, preparation of hot water starts response very loud that roared, the air conditioning even überbrummte, we got again a new room. The hotel itself offers a valet parking service for 30 $the night at. The boys here were very friendly and accommodating and very quickly. The hotel is directly at the edge of Gaslampquarters and ... thus has two blocks away each quantity pub to offer. Very we can recommend nathan's smokehouse, as well as there around the corner a crazy Invite. read more

The hotel was our last from 12 to the United States tour and so we had seen quite a lot. The Sofia was but our only business hotel, so we Rundreisenden with large luggage a bit like admire seemed between the business. Therefore, the rooms are rather small luggage designed for business travelers on: very small for 2 people with two suitcases, but with very nice furnishings vanity and new shower (both safe not older than 3 or 4 years and very neat). Free internet in the lobby at 3 PC + WLAN (free in the lobby). Valet parking is ... available at the hotel (surcharge) or a few hundred meters away on 2 parking (approx. $20 per night). Theoretically, you in the vicinity of the hotel also metered parking (as I remembered it from us) park just are either no places free or you would likely in the middle of the night to one had to park, since every 2. Night from 4 PM until Reinigungsfahrzeuge and therefore no cars. The location: just next door is the bus station from San Diego (mainly for Mexican commute home), which you - for light sleep - about 6 hours buses run hear. Directly in front of the hotel is a coffee-to-go-shop, small supermarkets + fast food shops are about 50 - 100 meters away. The way to the Gaslamp Quarter is easily to be done on foot (max. 5 Minutes). From the hotel to the Mission Beach itself in the rush hour in the afternoon only 10 - 15 minutes. read more
