An excellent hotel extremly friendly staff. Food in lots of different à la carte restaurant. Without an extra charge possible and as often as you want, even if there were only half-board. Hardly any russians in the hotel,! Italian, british and german guests - very pleasant clientele. We were not the last one in this great hotel. read more

I had a week the pleasure in the savoy to spend, a really beautiful hotel, for the predominantly russian and constantly handynierenden fellow guests couldn't do anything. It was for my taste a bit too much with indoor ice-skating rink and wine cooler for the bottle of water at the beach the shopping is not for me Egypt, but you can take the shuttle bus (runs but only to two unglücklicken schedule after nuweiba) the luxury in the own locked city escape and then his desk as on the market again. The spa area is super beautifully, also the salon ... with nice staff can only be recommended. The theme restaurants on the main shopping street, very good and fine cuisine, the service, no matter in which area, is a 5 star hotel. read more

We stayed at the Savoy for the 2nd time in December and it confirmed our decision to go there again. Staff are amazingly helpful especailly M. the Concierge and Joseph, Manager. Our room was upgraded to a lovely spacious room with a seaview and was cleaned each day.the whole hotel is spotless, restaurants in abundance with Soho Square so nearby. Decorated for Christmas so beautifully. Superb beach. Amazing weather. So calm and peaceful and no sign of any trouble or unrest so dont be put off by what you see in Cairo on tv. We cant wait to return ... and hope to do so very soon!! Thank you Savoy!! read more

Our room was very large and spotlessly clean (very important to us!) A large bathroom too and an even larger balcony with comfortable furniture and a fantastic seaview looking over to Tiran Island...beautiful sunrises ! Everything in the room was in good condition. The only negative is that you have to pay for internet use or go to Soho Square where its free.

The beach is perfect for us with good shade if you require it, great snorkelling, amazingly clear water with the most stunning selection of colourful fish. You can scuba dive or take boat trips etc..learn to windsurf....belly dance even! A selection of lovely clean pools with ample sun beds and helpful staff there with towels. I want to go back!!!

Not far from the airport...about 10 minutes and Soho Square is just outside the hotel entrance with its shops and restaurants, dancing fountains and everything you could want. No hassles from shopkeepers as you get in Naama Bay and Old Sharm either. We felt very safe there and hope to return as soon as possible!

Rooms are nice, clean but if a 3 bed in addition, there is not much room to turn around! Beds are comfortable and very large. There is even a pillow menu only if the two different types of service be ordered not know what is! cleanliness was good, we just had to daily call room service, because some towels in the bathroom were missing. Breakfast, I have never had such a bad breakfast buffet as in the Savoy. Angelaufenes meat, hard bread and the staff at breakfast were extremely rude. The espresso is waiting for you about 15 minutes we ... had all inclusive, lunch was good, we were mostly in the fish restaurant on the sea. Staff very nice and accommodating, dinner we always had a la carte, also very excellent kitchen and the staff were also very friendly. The Thai upstairs at the Soho square, delicious kitchen and the best staff all ' were feasible without grumbling. read more

Size for 2 people, but when a 3 bed in addition, too small. Room with a sea view is worthwhile shower etc. worked, TV with almost no German channels. Furniture etc. very good condition. The safe was so small we could not even fit our camera include.

Morning buffet was a nightmare, the food as well as the staff. À La carte restaurant, very good food staff service oriented. Poolside restaurant OK, staff a nightmare. The fish restaurant on the sea very good food staff very nice and friendly. If the morning buffet I absehe I would give the food very good.

  • Service
    1.0

Dealing with complaints, since understands no longer speak English or otherwise a language, complaints are ignored. English is still, German almost no one speaks Russian but all the towels by the pool and beach a disgusting musty odor, towels better bring your own or from the room take-away. The service was very bad, because, when we arrived at a other rooms have asked, we were the last hole in this hotel and I thought that was really bad, especially since we have a child traveled and we really were tired from the trip, especially did they not understand why we are undertaking a time other room wanted. After about 2 hours we had the room we booked 4 days in advance and get validated by the hotel.

  • Sport & Entertainment

The fitness room is OK. Massage was the best I had booked. Pool area nice, but even in the low season it has a love sunbed occupiers... 24 hour with the towels show only rarely arise, however. Without the heated the end. December pool to swim not. Please note: Roal Savoy is renovated of morning until evening is construction noise should be expected for us by the pool beach chairs not think it was too loud. We have because of site a very bad given, because the tour operators not informed and for us the whole pool landscape not for relaxing available state

we had a taxi and so we were 10 minutes in from the airport in the hotel. The Soho square shopping, pharmacy is also available. On the beach made me feel cramped, if it did not at the beach walk this is the place to stay, I felt between the fences more caught. Snorkeling is OK, has many colorful fish. Since swimming only walk along the jetty is small children not too many rocks/corals immediate with the beach. The beach was always dirty, everything the guests winds turned has been lifted, tables and chairs were dirty and were only cleaned if we had asked.

We loved this hotel felt comfortable. The transfer from the Airport took about 15 minutes. We have not as close to the airport annoying found. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Rooms, restaurant, pool area and beach were very clean. We especially liked the fitness and wellness areas. The fitness equipment (Cardio-and weight) were in a good choice and very good condition! Directly in front of the hotel is the Soho-square with restaurants, bars and evening entertainment. 10-15 minutes in about could be reached by taxi Naama Bay. There are other numerous shopping and entertainment possibilities for pleasure. ... A special praise goes to the diving school at the Hotel. Friendly service and impeccable condition of the equipment. Conclusion: a wonderful place to relax, relax, relax and have fun! read more

We have a lot of good places to go and a really good price performance ratio found. The Savoy is a nice location, the food is very attractive, the rooms large and above all the balcony was great (especially, if you had a view of the sea). The staff are very friendly and tried hard to do everything right. All in all a very pleasant and relaxing stay. read more

The Savoy is 15 minutes drive from the airport. Aircraft noise was hardly noticeable, but unfortunately the neighbors, since the rooms walls are very thin. The Egyptian staff are very friendly, to 99% men. Some of them were a little cheeky, so always try somehow to make jokes. (which is not fun). More appropriate would be the guests. We had half board booked, so we stayed for all drinks and lunch (signed) to pay extra, it was sadly usually a huge problem for the staff. The bills were always confused or we had to wait forever. Well, it's Egypt. Since ... the half-board buffet was very boring after two days, we tried the Italian restaurant Rosemary from, which was really quite pricey, but the staff was ignorant of food or drink. We would have for those Price performance ratio expected more. As already mentioned in other reports, many Russians were in the hotel, which we didn't bother us, except for the ladies, motionlessly thong bikini with which the water jetty and photograph of a man left. Egypt is an Islamic country, you should think a little about it, if you can show is naked. Conclusion: positive: Nice rooms, good quality food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Negative: construction (partly very annoying by the pool), Rooms were very late cleaned (16-17 o'clock), not very varied buffet. Tip: the newly opened Soho square is part of the Savoy Hotel (there are some discounts for example, bowling, restaurants), you can also enjoy all invoices the room subtract off. Bowling try (you get plastic socks for the bowling shoes ☺ Alcohol was totally overpriced!, but this is to be expected in a strict Islamic country. read more

one of my worst vacation so far, perhaps I had been lucky, there was always a great hotel with extremely helpful, competent staff to get! In the afternoon coffee on the room ordered-didn't come, urged-was not... Asked, the minibar refill, nothing happened-urged-but nobody came... an upgrade to 'Royal Savoy' (offer the concierge: 400 €) have cash paid-at the check out I received a later Accounts of 2.30 euros for the upgrade... Dinner in the main restaurant: nothing Special, sometimes long waiting time for drinks; read more

There was a huge buffet daily with fresh dishes (showcooking). There was something there for everyone. Sometimes the food was sadly a bit cold.

The staff was always very friendly but sometimes a bit pushy, yet a "no" was accepted and wasn´t further questioned. Language was mostly English.

The entertainers were there every day and if you wanted you could play watervolleyball, boccia or do other activities. The pool was always clean. The towels were fresh every day and the umbrellas (with integrated sprinklers) were plentiful.

Very clean hotel with a lot of possibilites. Big pool landscape, wellness area, bar, etc. The hotel had a very big area. Because of the signs it was hard to go somwhere wrong. The holiday guests were of all ages.

The shopping strip with a supermarket, boutiques, disco (1) and bars was inviting to spend time (in the evenings) and there was a nice atmosphere there.

Carfeul: Don´t book any excursions with travle agents or the hotel (more later)! Very big and nice hotel, if not the nicest in the region. Very clean; multiple staff members are walking around all the time cleaning little things like fingerprints of glass doors or emptying ashtrays. If you like to swim a lot all-inclusive is to be recommended because the prices for extra drinks or food are very high for Egypt. But because the hotel had a wonderful private beach and a wonderful sealife we often ate at the beach and ordered a lot to drink which of course ... made the costs go up with half-board. For dinner, drinks are not included. Not even water. A small mineralwater costs about 24 Egyptian pounds (3 Euros). read more

Rooms were very nice, top-notch. Few international TV-Channels. But we didn´t go to Egypt to watch televsion. All information was in Russian and English.

A lot of nice restaurants which all cost a huge amount for Egypt. If you knew the real prices for Egypt these were often fantasy prices sometimes even more expensive than in central Europe. With half-board (breakfast and dinner included) the food took some getting used to. Even though I really like eating sausages I tried some there and never had them again. I think that if they want international prices they should serve international food but still you can´t find any sort of pork there at all. Their style was very Russian not at all international. And not even drinks are included in dinner. Breakfast was ok but we had sometimes finished eating before coffee was ofered to us after we had asked for it three times (the same once happened in the evening). At least coffee was included at breakfast for half-pension . If they had wanted that payed seperatley I wouldn´t have been surprised. It was best to eat what you already knew like in the morning eating scrambled egg with toast and a croissant. But not even that was enough to save you from stomach problems.

Staff was very friendly and could hardly have been outshone. Languages: Mostly Russian, a bit of bad English and hardly any other languages. Rooms were always very clean, for a small tipp (5 pounds=60 cent) you even got flowers in the room. Amenities were very expensive for Egypt.

Even though the pool was nicely made the prices the hotel asked for for massages, excursions, watersport were so over the top it was almost a rip-off. Especially the excursion which you can book from the hotel. The look for people who aren´t brown yet from the sun and ask them if they are there for the first time. If they say yes they have found a new victim. Like it was with us we were tricked in to buying a quad bike excursion for 100 Euros which would have cost 15-20 Euros in Naama Bay for excactly the same one. To get a massage there cost between 50-250 Euros (the massage tent on the beach was only used twice during our whole visit.. I wonder why?) To get pulled along hung to a parachute by a boat cost 70 Euros for 4-5 minutes and that even though petrol costs about 15 cent there per litre and an Egyptian earns about 300 Euros a month. Outside of the hotel on the whole of Soho-Square all the tourist shops had tourist prices which were 10-100 times more than normal Egyptian prices.

The location directly by the beach with a wonderful reef didn´t leave a reason for complaint. Don´t forget a diving mask. Sharm El Sheikh airport is about 10 minutes away. The nearest place was Naama Bay with a few duty-free shops which you can shop in even a few days after your arrival. Of course there were a lot of other shopping possibilities altough they have tourist prices but are still cheaper than the shops at the hotel and the nearby SOHO-Square. Twice a day you could use the free hotel bus to get to and from Naama Bay. Just had to make sure to book in advance. 10.30 AM - 2 PM and 2 PM - 5 PM. Excursions to Cairo, Ras Mohamed etc. should not have been booked in the hotel but in Naama Bay because you payed instead of 100 Euros only 20-30 Euros for exactly the same excursion never minding which one it was. Excursion possibilities were unique and fascinating: Cairo, Ras-Mohamed (underwater nature reserve) and quad-biking in the desert are to be recommended. If you can afford it fly to Cairo directly for about 80 Euros and save the 6-8 hour bus journey. (Careful: international travel agents ask for 250+ Euros!)
