'm thrilled by the Inter City Hotel on main station. Felt in very good hands, was in any case competent and extremely friendly cared for and served! The rooms are spacious and clean. I was in this hotel for a city trip. The location of the hotel was very centrally located and you could therefore the public transport was very good. We were middle december for 4 days in the Inter City Hotel accommodated. We have been the 3. time there and i have to say, the hotel has really deteriorated. When we the room on the 2. floor entered, have met almost fainted. Such a dirty, stained, ripped carpet i really in any hotel anywhere (we travel 3-4 times every year). It has terrible geeckelt. The year before we were on the 4. floor and there was the carpet worn out, but nevertheless still acceptable. The bathroom was although it is very small, but really clean and was cleaned daily. ... The furniture was ok. The furniture is now times matter of taste. The 'television' had the size my laptop and a tv program gave it also not more. The safe is also away. The breakfast buffet is also very well arranged has become. It was in the four days not possible, orange juice to buy. The multivitamin juice is so watered down, it almost pure water was. However everything else was good in terms of taste and fresh. The only thing, that not changed is the price for the hotel.
My conclusion: the hotel i can not recommend, but only because of the teppiches.

The intercity -Hotel Hamburg hauptbahnhof has pros and cons. One must know what you want. Benefits: direct city location opposite the main train station, great shopping possibilities. Rooms have sufficient size but partly in need of renovation. For pure overnight stay more than enough. Included is a free ticket for public transport in Hamburg. Good, generous breakfast. Cons: no 'hotel' rather some kind of conference hotel. Expensive parking in the underground garage (14 Euro p. tag) Furniture and floor coverings partly worn/ ersatzbedürftig. Complaint (no heating in the room in december! Within a 2-day stay not repaired) read more

The hotel has its 4 stars definitely not longer deserves. The rooms are worn, walls and floor was rather grubby. Cleaning staff seemed very small to be or has no force around the fan in the bathroom to clean, this has for years definitely no dish cloth seen. The people at the front desk was friendly and tried hard, as well as even at breakfast which reasonable and rich, with 16 €not cheap. read more

The hotel is very centrally located-opposite train station and is a 4 star hotel means. Three stars are more appropriate, then this is for you not disappointed. Utter disappointment! We had to 3 years with children the first time the possibility as a couple alone a nice weekend in Hamburg to spend. Stay was about 6 weeks before the trip i booked. Incredibly, we a smoker's room receive, the smelled beastly and not invited in the evening comfortably in bed to read or morning relaxed the day in the room to start. Nicotine in the walls and in the bettzeugen, not from the nose to get, memories of musty discos or bars in the morning afterwards. Exchange not possible, as the hotel is fully booked. I wonder ... how it can be that one, if you're not explicitly a smoker's room reserved in such a vermuffte berth, in addition to not stay for a small price, quartered is. With the window open, air freshener and candles we brought the night behind us the next morning just quickly check out. No attempt in any way to compensate, through discount or credit of the parking fee. A shame, that this welcome weekend so overshaded was. Guarantees never again! read more

The hotel has 155 room, a restaurant, a bar and 5 meeting rooms. The location near the train station and the distance to the city center is very convenient for city routes. You could on foot the shopping center, the monkebergstrasse and the Jungfernstieg reach. The breakfast was very tidy, there was also scrambled egg,-with or without bacon, mineral water, orange juice, tomato juice and muesli. The rooms were very clean. For the stay there was a map for the public transportation. So you could also very simple with the subway the jetties, Hafencity and the warehouse district of ... speicherstadt are coming. The parking garage was a bit cramped-but doable-to time 14 Euro per day. read more

Bathroom was only superficially cleaned ( shower has mold) no safe in the room.
Coffee only lukewarm, toaster broken.

To my amazement our diesmaliges visit left rather negative impressions, since, hachdem the concierge for us the taxi to the airport ordered, I had him merhrmals to instructions, that time passes and I and my wife the machine miss may, in case taxi not on time is, as in this time in Hamburg a large event and the Zufahrtmöglichkeiten to the hotel were bad. After my third nachdrucklicher demand but to say when the taxi comes the colleague at the front desk in a friendly manner, that the order by the driver already was cancelled. The whole ' Wartegeschichte ' ... in the hotel lasted from about 12,40 until about 13,20 and could still further while. Consoling us then the other Colleague at the front desk it is recommended that S-Bahn to take, even though they knew (I had read several times told), since we were already at the zeitnot were.
Thank god it is us in airport as the last passengers for our home checked in and with damaged mood but with pleasure to come home.

We were just for one night in this hotel as a stopover for our Aida-cruise. We were satisfied and the great about this hotel is, that you get a ticket for all public transportation free dazubekommt.
