Hotel Astera^{(4 stars)}

The rooms were coloured modern and very styleful furnished. One could book a safe at the reception (for one week about 20 EUR). Otherwise there was air conditioning system, free mini bar with water and shower and a bottle weisswein. In addition TVS with many German channels, foehn in the bath and a roomy balcony with beautiful furniture!

In the main restaurant took place breakfast, noon and dinners for the universe Inclusive guests. Unfortunately the main restaurant a Kantinenflair, probably under the high cover, had thus it schallte much. The meals were very varied and more delicious, for each nationality participated which. Much fresh fruit and vegetable, most diverse Fleisch-und of fish courts a great Dessert buffet with cakes, sweet foods and ice.

The coworkers at the reception are very friendly and helpful. Everyone strives to speak German and with simple school English also always gets ahead one. The coworkers in the restaurant and the cleaning personnel could not do German. However one could with hands and feet in the best way explain which one would like. And the coworkers are always pleased about a friendly smile of your guests (they so often do not get probably).

Bath-towels, couches and screens were free at the pool and beach. There is always plentifully places free, all the same when one comes. As already mentions, one can use evening the various clubs and bars. Disco routes even organized are offered by the tour operator. For a fixed price one receives then entrance, beverages and CO. freely.

The hotel Astera has 9 floors with altogether 203 rooms. Everything is modern furnished, it to European standards adhered. To cleanliness within the entire hotel range by the management one paid attention. The guests were a multicolored mixture from Europeans, Russians and Israeli. Since we traveled in the holidays off-season, were many young couples or families with very small children represent. The generation 50+ constituted about 30 per cent.

The hotel is in the middle because of a party mile. Hardly one left the hotel, has one bars, various purchase possibilities, entertainment possibilities and restaurants before itself. The distance to the hotel-own sand beach amounts to about 3-5 going minutes, thus super fast. In the proximity there is a pharmacy, a post office, supermarkets, banks and thus everything which one needs. The city next lain is Varna, which with the taxi/bus is attainable in about 20 minutes. We did not use that however, since it was missing to us at nothing.

here one cannot describe anything bad, it was everything okay.

The staff would have to make certain more that cups or the like are available always with current enterprise for the guests.

Here I must evaluate unfortunately badly, since we could not participate in as already upper indicated an animation meeting, without risking the own health. There were 4 discotheques, these in this hotel we had once visited and after about 5 minutes had already again left. In three of these “premises” were the railways of our hearing very clearly crossed, so that we went also here due to the own health again. We did not want only at all to enter the fourth “spatialness”, had it however to be in order to arrive in the other “premises”, because we accepted in a Piepshow or something similar here. On the left of a large black leather sofa with very many young ladies mutually stroked itself, whereby I would now rather not like to report in detail. On the right side sat young on Ledersesseln and examined this driving. We dance to one did not see, from our view were not also the correct necessary place, in order to dance, how we would dance. Thus for us there was only one alternative about 15 minutes foot march along the seafront where live volume in a restaurant directly because of the hotel-own beach been a up-played. That was at least great music for us to dances. Cleanliness within the condition range could be better, because one nearly constantly stepped there on thrown away cigarette dumps. We found a lying, screens and editions good were inclusive. A WC would be still very attached.

The hotel rules in such a way to say itself in the center of the happening, room and therefore around all clean! Dining-hall very highly built, therefore one wins fast the impression of a station hall or the like. For 4 stars a hotel were very lean covered the Esstische (paper-under-casually instead of tablecloths), which one with the Ess (Fress) - culture of the different nationalities in addition, to understand could. The waiters could do there really only wrong to one, although these arose always very friendly and helpfully. Except in the dining-hall (fortunately) one was allowed to smoke everywhere, smokes to smoke again, which one as a nonsmoker, I legend it with my words only angekotzt. Because if in the lobby a meeting were, one had to bear this verflixten smoke, or however one did without the meetings. We were for doing without, because the own health was more important. Like there the families with infants over it, endured those thought despite this Qualmes is incomprehensible me. Actually this is irresponsible! We already visited many hotels in European Union countries, but as a hotel as the Astera, which neglects the nonsmoker protection in such a way, did not give it really yet. We will continue to recommend this hotel in no case at nonsmokers!

The distance to the beach was o.k. purchase and maintenance possibilities was well, in the main season certainly still better.

Large rooms, individually adjustable climate, TV, mini bar with daily mineral water. Beds/mattresses well & comfortably. Side parts of the beds easily soils. In the bath strongly rusting metal installations (towel rack, shower) underneath the discharge lattices much dirt. WC-cover damages and inclined, WC-brush = Kloake. Veneer of the Badezimmertüre damages, corner of the washstand from granite broken off. Clean room soil, dark furniture. Many reservoir and good coat-hangers. Bathrobe including. With appropriate tip more frequently towel changes and bedlinen changes by very nice landlady.

Food quality and variety from the 19.9. -1010,10 (three weeks) very strongly diminishing. Breakfast with everything that one, however very reduced sausage selection of very bad quality needs. With cow's milk cheese in the first week two, thereafter a sort “yellow cheese”. It was not possible to get normal black dte. Aromatized teas however in variants. Very well often were the soups and warm vegetable courts. Badly more frequently so-called Kalbsgulasch/roasts, there 1. Always consisting of cattle and 2. Often inferior quality (much or hard surfaces through-grow. Well often Hammelbraten/gulasch, falsely always as a lamb defines. In addition however clearly too sheep-spicy. Who had desire on fresh salad and sheep cheese, came fully at its expense. Further hors-d'oeuvres were: Marinierter fish (Markrelen in crossbars with fishbone, small whole fish) those did not taste good. Forellenfilets or salmon never gave it, as well as different hors-d'oeuvres with Mayonnaise etc. even if the floor in the restaurant was very dirty, was good the hygiene in the restaurant. The atmosphere was often uncomfortably and partly extremely loud because of report (more alkoholisierter) guests and because of the continuous music. Beverages: Good beer, very simple Tischwein knows/red, other lemonades etc.

First impression: Modern generous hotel. about 6 years old. In the so-called lobby bar in the 1. The restaurant is largely and very modern furnished. Large selection of meals. Meal was partly lukewarm.

The “service” was our largest interference factor. As said; very young, bored staff, which did not break off also discussions among themselves, if one wanted to ask a question or something similar hardly German, but but good English knowledge. Room superficially cleanly.

We received no child maintenance and gave it also only an animator, thus for family vacation probably unsuitable. Internet was free and the Billardtisch also quasi, since the glass was broken and one can take and play the balls simply. Beach was clean. No showers at the beach in closer environment.

We did not book overall & load minute (fortunately, because otherwise I would have me annoyed at the price). Unfriendly by the very young staff were welcomed. Hardly German knowledge. We had to wait still with the checking in to 14 o'clock, what correct was perfect, AI could use fully. However the “luggage boy” has the area planned for it up-closed and us with the suit-case stows away course-looked, instead of anzupacken. External pool was beautiful, however the bar employee always made a genervten impression. One could see nearly nothing to lobby bar totally smoked and of the evening program received/. Totally dirty carpet - genuinly widerlich! We had the impression that the season for all over was and the employees serve only their time…

The situation of the hotel is good. One must cross a road (however the much traveled is) and is in all the small business and to also jerk-twitch directly in the middle at the hotel-own couches, which are inclusive. The “beach bar” is a small, round bar, where beverage gasoline pumps stand and to 3. Day of our vacation was diminished. Season end was clearly noticeable.

Equipment much decay! Bathrobe on the room. Towels were daily changed. The mini bar was rather a joke. It was water there (naturally very well) and a much to sweet lemonade, which one could not drink. That was it in addition! The important German transmitters were present. One does not need however necessarily. We were nearly always on the way.

Meal was very good and various. There were in the evening always topic evenings (Bulgarian, Italian, fish etc.). AI I e.g. became. Do not book, because we ate only 2 times at noon in the hotel. If one is at the beach, one goes eating at noon not to in the hotel (although it is not far). There are sufficient possibilities little things to eat at the beach favorably! The morning buffet was something mau (which concerns the deftigen things).

The staff at that pool bar and that lobby bar was sometimes rather unfriendly. In the restaurant again always friendly and nicely. A smile and causes miracles thank-beautifully with those (those do not know probably; )) German, English and Russian are spoken of nearly all. The showering head had very much calcified with us in the room and disgustingly. We would not have showered in such a way. After short info. at the reception this was exchanged still on the same day! Great one!

Animation hardly used, but in any case sufficiently available! The animators are not importunate at all, which the case is unfortunately mostly. We used the pool in the hotel once. Was very clean. The water was unfortunately very cold at this season! But the sea was more pleasant around some! Otherwise is everything there, which desires the heart (S. layer and environment).

The general impression is very good. The rooms as well as the entire hotel are very clean! The hotel is actually not largely (approx. 200 rooms), nevertheless is two elevators too little, because these are badly co-ordinated and nearly on each floor it holds (where however nobody zusteigt! ). That was already annoying! The coworkers at the reception are very friendly, can partially very well German. For about 20 €/week gave it an hire safe at the reception. Thus one had already a better feeling. There were many different nationalities. At most Russian, German, Israeli. That one could smoke nearly everywhere, I felt as a smoker rather pleasantly - in Germany one is meanwhile discriminated against nearly! The hotel-own disco is very modern and super geil. But the whole was one ticks too loud. Could one does not converse there nearly!

The hotel lies about 5 minute far away from the own hotel beach. Couches, sun screens and beverages at the beach including! Otherwise bars, taverns, are restaurant, Disco, Casino, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc. of everything there along the promenade! Somewhat annoying are the people, those at the beach things turn (etc. make decoration, shells, fruits, fruit, photo) otherwise are very good from the hotel everything to reach!

The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. The chambermaid was super attentive, unfortunately the only one, each day fresh towels and three times new bedlinen. These were prepared also very often beautifully. Beverages were always refilled.

The first three evenings there still topic evenings with different kitchen were and for breakfast gave it also still to pancakes, in addition, here starting from October no more selection. The meal was continued to drive down always, so that there were only two meat courts and two supplements. Vegetable was nil return. The fruit (three sorts apple, bananas and oranges) were unfortunately second class and no alternation. For four stars really sadly and not in order.

The friendliness of the staff left to be desired unfortunately much, in the lobby bar had one to partly board itself, since the barkeepers 20 min. disappeared. Friendly also the waiters were not real and also not endeavored. In addition, at the beginning the plates were cleared still constantly, this already left after three days. No more animation starting from October. One is treated like humans of second class. It is really unfortunate, the hotel has actually enough Potenzial. There was no more Fassbier, only beer from plastic bottles (Aldi lets greet) and that had partly already run off.

Maintenance was and those the first three days still there was really nice, among them a Musikquiz and a Zaubershow. Afterwards conclusion and the maintenance were unfortunately consisted of it in that lobby bar sitting (there everything else was already closed) to bear and the dirty carpet and the extremely friendly operation. There was a Billardtisch where the balls was multicolored mixed, three old and dirty PCs by the staff was usually used and an old Dartscheibe. Here there was also a large television, on however always loud bulg. Television ran and also after switches to German television (e.g. Football was again shifted back in the middle) after short time and in the play.

Actually it could have been a very beautiful vacation, but we are unfortunately disappointed of the hotel a little. For the price inappropriate. The hotel was very worn out for its 6 years. The showering heads could have calmly times been renewed. The spa range was the inclusive sauna was good, the steam bath was however starting from at the beginning of of Octobers defectively and afterwards smelled it extremely after mould.

The gold beach is been, everything on the winter was unfortunately packed up also here very beautifully. Of because of in the middle of October season end. Here to pack up at the end of of Septembers begun everything to still go out hardly possibilities or for the meal. Starting from October there were only the dealers and those was everything but friendly, if one did not buy anything or no route wanted to have became one in bulg. insulted. The taxi drivers were super importunately, constantly drive to one afterwards and rise partly even out if one for the much more inexpensive bus wait. Unfortunate also that was only penalty after Varna (very beautiful city, above all the cathedral) leads and no more after Balcik or Albena. The moving way to the monastery was not so easy to find and the yellow route is not recommended, better the blue route for normal moving. The highlight of the vacation is a trip after Nessebar, must one have seen very beautiful.

The equipment of the rooms are appropriate and clean if one not so exactly sees. The towels were changed for each day.

The meals in a large hall taken that rather a station hall resembles. The meals are not always warmly as one it know. Annoying ones are also the citizens from GUS the states with its overful plate those half fully to stand left. The showcooking consisted of it the cook with roasts from tomatoes seeing to bulb… etc. too. Otherwise it is very loud.

Does not go in such a way for 3 stars however for 4 stars. The staff was always endeavors the level to hold.

There was to this hotel also something animation and one could if one wanted at some activities part to take. The animation team tried to make the best from it. The Internet corner is a joke, 3 PC `s and a keyboard. The evening animation took place usually in that lobby bar. The program often went down regarding the noise. It gives a Spielcasino to some subpopulations (Israelis) felt already domestic, so which one is few minutes distant nevertheless rather as German holiday-makers its luck in Casino of the hotel international tried.

Into this hotel many nationalities descend, yet at the reception usually in national language or English one speaks. The input area constantly deseamed why also always.

The hotel lies in central situation and one should not be to noise sensitive. To the hotel-own beach there is few going minutes and if one is urgently necessarily in such a way some more always a small supermarket on has.

As already above mentioned the rooms were really very good and beautiful. Above all the bathroom was very modern furnished. An air conditioning system is on the rooms available and functioned also in absence of the guests. The mini bar was filled up each day. The balcony was also really beautiful from the size. In each room a bathrobe for the guest lies ready. And the rooms were properly deseamed also each day, so that it was always clean.

For Bulgarian conditions the meal was outstanding. It should actually be for each somewhat thereby: Calf meat, lamb, much chicken, Schweinefleisch, noodle and vegetable. Each day fresh vegetable and meat were grilled. The fruit selection and the desserts were large. If one remains however longer than one week, the meal could become a little one-sided. There were two bars, at which one got any beverages at night to 22,30 (pool bar) and/or 2,00 o'clock. The alcoholic beverages, which are contained in all inclusive, are imported goods, which are really good: Finlanda Vodka, Ouzo 12 etc.… At the beach there was also a beverage station, at which one could avail oneself all day long.

Complaints had we no, the charwomen were always reliable and tidy. However the staff is frequently a little unfriendly and brings no smile on the face. That seems to be completely normal however for Bulgarian hotel.

I must admit, we was not only one times in the pool, since we were only because of the beach. The pool looked however clean. The animation is naturally not comparable to Magic Life with the animation in club hotel, like for the example a club. But the animation was actually also relatively all the same to us. The animators were always nice and also not too importunate. At the beach there was each day beach volleyball and Beachsoccer. And if one wanted a mud packing on the back; -)

The Astera hotel lies in the middle in the heart of the gold beach with direct sea situation. There are only two hotel at the gold beach, which have their own beach section, the Astera is one of it. Besides each hotel guest receives a condition cloth and a bathrobe. The rooms are very beautiful and also very clean. There were no reasons to complain of during our whole stay somewhat. The spectrum at hotel visitors covered both young people, which make party to Bulgaria drove, and families, which looked for simply only recovery. This vacation was not my first Bulgaria vacation, I must however say that the hotel Astera exceeded our expectations by far and I dare to in addition also say that the Astera is the best hotel at the gold beach.

The situation is almost perfect. Been because of the sea directly, one is in few steps at the own beach, which contains couches and sun screens. Otherwise the couches and screen per day cost about 9 Leva (~ 4 euro) per piece. The seafront with all kinds of purchase possibilities is been also directly because of the Astera. For young, party-looking for humans, the Astera lies optimally. The hotel-own disco is correctly good, but the public did not please us here. Furthermore there are innumerable bars in direct proximity and 6 discotheques, to which one must run max. 7 minutes. The central situation of the Astera offers besides the possibility again to the hotel to at night return and change, if this is necessary. Recommendable discotheques are: PR club and Bonkers. For people with Nervenkitzel is besides a Casino also in the hotel integrated.

The room in 9. Stick was the high point of the vacation. Roomy and cleanly. Only minus is a missing safe. The mini bar is filled free of charge daily with 2 large bottles water and lemonade. In the television all large German transmitters. Nearly daily laundry change. Our landlady spoke even German.

At the quality and quantity of the meal it gives to suspend hardly somewhat. Me personally sometimes meals and soup were not sufficient hot. This is nationaltypical, does not have to not be however. The coffee is somewhat habituation needy. At noon and in the evening always ice. That attracts naturally the children. Beverages are tapped. No crowding. In the dining-hall one forgets fast, which is Bulgaria with the poorest country of Europe.

The friendliness of the staff is correct. Its own smile or thank-beautifully can work wonders. German sufficiently, at the reception well one understands and one speaks. One shows. That the guest is importantly taken. Receive o'clock without request lunch pack with to check out at 2.30.

During situation and environment one described already above, since this is to be seen here in the close relationship. Beautiful indoor swimming pool.

The modern coined/shaped hotel is with one of the top-addresses at the gold beach. Very cleanly, universe Inclusive. International public, but many GUS Staatler. The large weak point is the lift system. Two elevators are too few, in addition they are miserably switched. Many blind travels. In addition without ventilation/fan. The doors close too fast. In the left elevator during load little trust-arousing noises. Besides the elevators are the only place generally speaking hotel, where there are waiting periods. On “sun-hit a corner” in the 1. Stick at the pool nearly always couches freely. Reserved animation.

Only some meters of the 3 km are enough for party and Shoppingmeile of the gold coast are impossible sleeping with open window. There the night is made the day. Ideally thus for all Nachtschwärmer. Otherwise stop with well working air conditioning system and closed window sleep. Inserted Casino and disco in the cellar hardly disturb. To the laterally shifted beach about 300 m footpath. But somewhere these people must also. The next shower at the beach is far as the hotel (proximity of McFastfood). Very weakly. Just as little no WC free of charge in the proximity. Only even tapable beverages, fruit, corn, cake, pastry offers the snack-bars. Me was the too little, since it cannot replace meal and one must back in the hotel. In the water always peak period. At 1,50 m water low own feet no longer visibly. Dangerously: About 5 m before the left delimitation to the water haven center an unsecured and badly recognizable great iron rail in the water from the embankment stands out. Danger of injury.
