This is a 3 star island and it's just lovely. No sunbed grabbers or any stress at all. Probably because there is practically nothing to do except snorkel around the island, kick back with a beer and read a book.
The snorkelling is truly superb, you can swim round the whole island in an hour and I'm just an average swimmer.
Not a lot of beach but then most people weren't seeming to use it anyway. Nearly all the beds on the beach were vacant when we passed by it.
Food = buffet for us in a superior room (the ... Water Villas get their own restaurant). This was fine. Nobody seemed to wear any footwear at all during the whole stay, it's simply not required. Staff seemed to be Maldivian and much happier with their lot than my previous exzperiences of Maldivian islands where they weren't. read more

Was a great vacation. Great for diving and snorkeling. Dreamlike reef with
Crazy great, colorful fish. Perfect organized diving school. The room was always clean
And the bed was every day freshly changed.
Only drawback was the service at the bar. One must the beverages itself otherwise

We enjoyed a relaxing snorkeling and seaside holiday on the Maldives. We chose chaaya reef to the damahligen time with 93% had been evaluated. This was our 3. time on the Maldives and we were for the first time disappointed by an island of Maldives. The service unfortunately very slow, one got after 3 weeks stay the feeling' the guest is no könig' tip is ( we had all-inclusive) the first 3 days one was at the bar despite welcome not respected, unfortunately it was other guests similar, only after the waiters tipping one was promptly and got something to ... drink. Some guests complained ', it is not to be served' with the hotel manager. Chaaya reef has only an open beach on the island, between bungalow 301-310 is otherwise-no sandy beach this piece of sandy beach is of course very desired, for who wants it not the Maldives at the beach are. Na almost all. And so tümmelten everything about this piece beach, peace maledivenflair zero! Even the numbered sun lounger to the individual beach bungalows include were early in the morning reserved or even completely for their own purposes and taken away. Maldives holiday, the you could save for so much money! All are talking about a budget what not to understand, we have over €7,000 for this and i think that is a lot of money, but you can also what do, such as this hotel to now still 90% recommendation is beyond me! We have already been many a time on the Maldives and have never experienced something like that, that the guests glad was home to travel. We had when booking the strandbungalowas of 301 to 310 specified, where you can get a nice beach area had, which ... of course on arrival was fully booked. After a week then in the room 336 which also strandbungalow calls, one has in the morning a hour the sun otherwise there is the shade, thus no beach there is, one has not yet times the possibility his couch to move, the next guests are also only two meters from a way, the entrance is through a set of stairs and nice bathing or in the water planschens lay not possible, as you on this side need bathing shoes. On arrival it means shoes from and into the barfussparadies! We stayed in the beach bungalow nr.323 with which we very satisfied were. Had direct sea view and the entrance to the lagoon was only 3 steps away. Great reef on the premises, you every day other fish -if you're lucky turtles and rays. Sun come here but unfortunately not quite on their cost-only in the morning the sun for maximum 2 hours in front of the bungalow. Room service great. All-inclusive is worthwhile, there the beverages and food individually very nice expensive. A lunch buffet costs otherwise quickly ... 35 Dollar per person. Lots of german guests, also swiss, austrians, dutch, russians, mostly couples of different ages. As a family holiday (especially with small children) rather unsuitable. read more

We have a vacation after the motto looking for: 'we want to do nothing and only half.'
Exactly what we wanted, we found. A absolutely relaxing and balanced beach holiday, on good level. The travel arrangements worked smoothly and the stopover in Dubai was, contrary to initial fears, a pleasant highlight.
The speedboat transfer from male to the island has about 70 minutes and was some sometimes bumpy. For people with problems with the intervertebral disk, would probably be a cushions recommended
As the island visibility came, the excitement deteriorated and the first impression the island was very good. ... There arrived we had a very warm welcome and on our room accompanied. The rooms were on two floors, and we were glad, that we on the 1. floor the room had. The rooms on the ground floor were with a large glass and if the curtains to were, you could go into the whole room views.
The rooms are spacious and without much klimm super. That you need is available. Really great we found the open bathroom, which is a the impression gives in the middle in the jungle to shower. We had all-inclusive and were therefore 3 times per day in the restaurant and selection, taste and quality enthusiastic. Not only the varied dishes, but also the friendly services were convincing. You have a permanent table and allocated waiters mostly the getränkegewohnheiten noticed.
The bar is in the evening quickly filled and there is every evening entertainment, such as crab races, magic show, bingo and live music. But the singer a totally nice woman, with her husband the show makes.

We did not do anything of it tested and would therefore no evaluation to deliver.
But what we have tested the diving school was and the spa. Both very recommendable. We have the beginner diving course and let about 30 minutes up to 12 metres deep diving. This per person around the 100 $cost.
The spa my wife 3 hours body behandels and was afterwards deep relaxed. She had the aromatheraphie massage with facial and was thrilled. The pleasure in the 140 $cost.
In general you should adequate pocket money and above all small bills for the tips plan.
It is important, that not all of the drinks in the all inclusive included. To consider one should however, that if one these on the end of the trip paid on any price only the value added tax mood is expected. The are around 10% of the net.
Conclusion. A succesful vacation in paradise and we would come back any time fly. read more

Very nice island with very nice nearby reef. On the wall, the island is, you get used to it quickly and didn't disturb then also not more. Everywhere enough sand to the other. Every day per room two 0,5l of water and tea for the kettle. Internet corner (3 Dollar for 2 hours/5 days). Daily fresh bath towels. Enough chairs on the beach ( with cushions). Passage of times about 70 minutes (we had bad weather and were about 2 hours on the way, which at high waves of horror is). Seaplane so maybe better. We had a bring ... you back bungalow, the somewhat too few light remains (a bit dark). The water bungalows are a dream ( very recommendable). ellaidhoo was our 10. Maldives-stay. This island is permanently overbooked, this have we ourselves experienced and from other vacationers during our 3 weeks on the island belongs. Our first day we have on an island situated in the nord male atoll without Maldives feeling spend. The next morning at 6 o'clock it went back to male and then with the water plane after ellaidhoo. Reason for the ausweihnacht is bad weather have been, what we however from the staff and the vacations locally not be verified could. Careful: partly (with certain travel agents) is a bettensteuer to pay. Represented are ... all very nationalities.
ellaidhoo is a al-island, which we also noticed. From at 10 o'clock in the morning the bar was already populated and went to after midnight in a impossible volume.
The island is in a very good state and very well maintained. The bungalows are large enough and clean. We had tv, air conditioning, ceiling fan, kettle to the tea or coffee make, safe and telephone. What else could you want. Also, we had our bungalow a nice terrace. The bathroom is half open and looks great from. The bungalows are around the island and our opinion too tight together. It belong each bungalow also flagged loungers ( the outside for the water-bungalows). It were every day the beach towels were changed.
The service was good. We were very warmly welcomed and everything was well explained. Also the service at the bar or in the restaurant was always immaculate. Even without tip. The cleaning of the rooms was also completely reasonable. Towels and sheets were changed every day.
On the island there are two restaurants and two bars. The quality of the meals was very good. There is something for everyone there. It is very much freshly prepared.
A pool is on the island also available, but you need not really. The beach is great. On the side, where we stayed, it is however limited with a wall. Protection from the sun you will find everywhere.
Now to the reef and for snorkeling. haibegegnung guaranteed daily (have a beautiful large zitronenhai times can watch). Turtles we also every day seen. Many schools around the island. Partly strong currents and we had during our 3 weeks often moved water, it cloudy and for snorkeling inconvenient, to small things to watch. We got what we expected and read before. Transfer took arrival for restless lake etwa100 minutes. Very warm welcome. Check in extremely friendly and quick.
The location is very good, but where it is on the Maldives not.
Beach, room, restaurant, quality of the dishes, bar and so on were very good. Staff were always friendly and helpful. A small tip helped of course. Like everywhere on the world.
Underwater world fantastic. We are here really too dauerschnorchlern developed.
Tour on the open sea to 3 different reefs is very recommendable. For 60 $you got a lot offered.
Only small ... shortcoming was the last day. We were 15 hours by boat to the airport were brought. Got however from 12 o'clock nothing more at the bars. Even 11:30 A. For us everything fit.! We were from 3.09.-18,09. 2012 on ellaidhoo. The weather was perfect. Only one day was cloudy, otherwise each day sunny. We had single bungalow number 321 directly at the beach.
The food was sufficient and very tasty. We had al. Pays only, if one much eats, since the prices not as expensive were. Next time enough half-board with. The courts there was something for everyone., so large, plenty of choice.
What particularly noticed was, was the cleanliness,- no matter where! Everywhere there was very well-kept. Room, dining room, paths, bars, just ... everywhere. International guests. Through the preisewerten price were also many younger guests were present.

We are from will be charged thrilled by Maldives. All great. Here one must not 5 star. Especially it pleased us, that we bungalow right on the small, but fine beach were. Rif is really reasonable and whoever is looking for peace and quiet, is in the right place here. And it is nevertheless not boring. Fish without limits, every time while snorkeling one sees other fish. And who says, that sharks during the day sleep?-)
But, must evenings the fish feeding his? The Riesenmakrelen are weirder, as the sharks. Probably had the rays don't want to come.
Negative ... were only a waiter at the bar, from halfway around eleven evenings always cleared. And on the penultimate day we were already told, that we on the day of departure only until 12:00 o'clock at noon still drinks received. On the day of departure they wanted to us from 11:30 o'clock nothing. I think already fussy, since we on the day of arrival first evenings came. Had at the end a somewhat bitter taste.
To the environment: here could really still be saved. Each drinks, whether cash or restaurant, must always be signed. Why then the all inclusive Bracelet? Tons of paper every day and stress for the waiters. Drinks, no matter wether soda, Petrol, Cola only 300 millilitre bottles, except water in 1 litre.
Butter to 10 g plastic packaged (way from Germany Oldenburg), everywhere where the butter in dice on ice chilled. Solar panels we didn't see. We know from Egypt different.

We had water bungalow booked. The bungalow was quite big and clean. The room boy came 2 times a day. In the morning the towels from the showers and the washbasin changed and evenings then the towels, they were included.

The island is quite small. We have about 30 minutes for you to travel around (we are often stopped and photos made)
