For a beach vacation the hotel is adequate.
At the beach one can recover (the raucous vieltrinker in the pool and you your peace).
Trips are expensive and you can save.
Food was very good.

We were here for the 2. time and like last year very satisfied. It has a change of ownership has taken place and also the management was shuffled. At the moment the rooms renovated-we looked at it super. Next year we are coming again here. read more

We were just passing through, the complex is well cared for and clean.
The staff is very friendly and obliging.
We had a room change, since our room next to the entertainment stage and the evening program too loud was.
We have at the beach felt good, on some days were even the beverages brought to your beach chair, at the beach was also the snack bar, if you only a small something lunch wanted.
The food general was very diverse and tasty, always lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad.
Very recommendable are the excursions: humpback whale and cayo ... leventado ( bacardinsel ) and the vip tour grand paradise, a real paradise and very good for snorkelling.
I would recommend this hotel again! Thumbs up! read more

The hotel has no 4 star standard. The rooms are very simple. No closet or dresser. The ' walk-in closet consists of an alcove with three regalbrettern and an open rack. The key card for the room works sometimes only after repeated squeeze, sometimes not at all. Then this is the course to the front desk announced, the card reprogrammed. The staff at reception is quite rude and not service oriented.
Long walks at the beach are because of the threat of attacks not possible. It makes the travel guide already with the roadshow attentive.
The other employees in the ... restaurants and bars are very friendly and willing to help.
At mealtimes in buffet form is a wide selection. Tasted is the food satisfactory. read more

This is no settlement, but an objective analysis of what we saw while we were there.
Everyone has different ideas of a holiday. For us it was a relaxing beach vacation are, as i have found in layers work and my girlfriend a 12 hours working day has.
So if you're looking for peace and quiet is in the wrong place. The pools, except that in the spa are filled with the sound of loud music and besieged of americans apparently only drinking go there. We have the pool bar only on the first day used. You have to imagine ... the all americans so large containers at the bars with mixed drinks fill leave, the one must ask oneself, why allowed the hotel such a thing and why not happen more vandalism. This is that evening against midnight meant as a volltrunkener a foreign apartment to kindling beating.
The night's sleep you can only with ohropax reasonably enjoy. The beach consists of a mixture of cigarette butts, straws and jetsam. Also here no trace of tranquility. All three minutes annoying beach vendors. The rest by a helicopter from the lifestyle hotel so a kind shuttle service to the airport exercises. Within and outside the hotel you will always with timeshare troubled.
To the location of the hotel:it is located as last hotel at the Playa Dorada, on a bay in the the sea everything wiederhergibt which some was. The water is naturtrüb and after 300 meters right of security forces sent back. The nice parts of the beach are so not reachable.
To the hotel and to the rooms: our room was a superior d. h. with a balcony and a thorough cleaning on our part. The window could not against external penetration be saved, the shower head cracks a constantly on the head and storage space are much too small.
So remained the biggest part in the suit-case. Fitness equipment although available, were but actually useless because it was too old and partly broken. Telephone from the room was after several attempts not.
From the reception from it worked then also for 4 Dollar in 4 minutes. To three days it cost 12 Dollar for the same time. Prices apparently each employee individually. This hotel does not accept chèques vacances vouchers. Unbelievable!
Entertainment is ringelpietz with touch. There no children in the hotel are permitted, the already times under the belt. The staff the speiseraums is very friendly.
Rigoberto and raffäl are particularly to be highlighted.
The a la carte restaurants: steakhouse tried it once, then whole our toilet.
Pescaderos was okay but not our taste.
Since the asian restaurant of all tested liked most, we for week two only this is selected. Consistent quality of the highest standard. Strong praise for the whole crew-but one pays gladly a good tip.
Excursions: paradise Iceland for 150,-Dollar per person, 7:00 hours picked up 20:00 hours
From this 13 hours were 4 hours nice. Great lunch on a gorgeous beach and 75 minutes on the small paradise island. The whole uphill is by bus. There the bus on and uphill every hotel up to the main entrance leaves, including barriers and idiotenhügel passes here most of the time.
Oceanworld for 70,- Dollar per person is a joke. Only the half dolphin show was worth seeing.
For everything else you have to pay a lot.
The atmosphere was for us more gauntlet as apparently all traders even have a set.
Who jogging wants we recommend the golf course
If you are looking for a beach chair with umbrella would we recommend at 5:00 o'clock stand up.
Spanish or english necessary since hardly someone german and hardly german tourists were there. Safe must for 40 Dollar rent. It can already sometimes disappearance.
Our summary: too much money for too little vacation, the whole stressy expense for a and exits and 10-hour eingepferchtes flies the decision by this country, this hotel and the airline for the next time very easy. read more

Management and personal are horrible!!! It is really bad that they think they can treat their customers in such a fashion. We watched in constant shock how they handled their guests with disrespect, rudeness and sometimes screaming at them!
Shame on this resort and shame on the chain of Bluebay resorts. We will never visit a Bluebay again and strongly recommend others to stay away from this resort. There are hundreds of resorts to choose from in the Dominican - make your choice and money count! read more

Four star are exorbitant!
For the food we would have liked but can waive it. The rooms are huge, but we would have rather small and clean instead of huge and dirty had. The entertainment offer was very mixed. The bed just a cot and after 8 days that you would need a rehabilitation. read more

We have been already the 7. time in this hotel - initially we were disappointed, since the management, it unfortunately not more so, as before. Thank god was Ines, the before the management of the guestservices had, then to the manager and from the very moment, everything was better. In fact you can this hotel - if you no children has, because it is a hotel only for adults, which we personally enjoy - absolutely recommend. We will certainly also for the 8. time have a vacation there - only if the president of the dominican republic think, because unfortunately ... filthy this country more and more - what the hotel of course not-there is for cleanliness very respected and the beach is cleaned daily, but the dirt, through the ocean washed ashore, is more and more, that was the only thing, that we on this vacation criticized. read more

The BlueBay is a completely clean facilities, we can some reviews really not understand. Were the second time now already and weren't disappointed. :-) friendly staff, fantastic entertainment, just a perfect vacation. The excursions we always book with Hans Peter in the Plaza( a lot cheaper when the tour operator) and you German travel guide not like for instance the beach vendors where it promised... Our summary is: we will be back BLUEBAY... :-) read more

The hotel is ok, but no luxury. We had booked a superior room, that 500 Euro surcharge and we must say, that it wasn't worth it. You only a balcony, more not. The rooms and furniture are unfortunately already a bit outdated.
On arrival, we got a safe not, we have our money in the bags hidden and when we from the dinner came a room maid came clerk, running (at 8 o'clock in the evening), the apparently the towels changed. Afterwards turned out, that it is a part of our money stolen had. The lady from the customer service ... was not at all tried, the thing to. Strangely came after one more evening for changing the towels. During our holiday time there were in our hotel other guests robbed. So please, invested the money and rent immediately to place a safe!
The travel guide mrs reyes was very competent and helped us.
The food in the hotel was delicious and diverse. Can Hummer highly recommend. à-la-carte-restaurant chef Francis is super nice and very anxious.
The beach was reasonable, unfortunately, a lot of seaweed and so on washed ashore and was the water cloudy from the aufgewirbelten sand.
Nearby there is a small shopping center with a german tourverkäufer Hans Peter. He switches for you the money at a reasonable rate - much better as in the hotel and so on read more

The hotel is beautiful green and very peaceful ( no children). There are several small building, some villas and suites.
We had a standard room, what for our stay totally sufficient. The room was always clean.
The buffets were versatile. There was always the possibility something fresh to order ( breakfast: fried egg/ omelet; afternoon: pasta, burgers/ hot Dog; evenings: noodles and a themengericht ).
The hotel is quite strong on guests from USA, England and kanade specialized, which the stay but not in the least affect the has. The average age of the guests ranged from beginning 20 to ... 60 years, a good mixture. read more

The hotel is directly at the beach. It is quiet, since only guests from 18 are allowed. Otherwise there is under the three pools a quiet pool. Very good so, if you peace and quiet urgently necessary. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Especially we would the staff in the buffet restaurant stress. The specialty restaurants are very good. The staff here is also nice, otherwise also all other employees: entertainers, the staff at reception, all service staff and so on it was an all-around relaxing and great vacation. We have the stay in the North also used, and ... a lot to look at. Particularly recommendable the excursion possibilities of extra-tours (contact over internet from at home from possible). The groups are small (4-8 ), price cheap. Andreas is German, in the cathedral. Republic of lives and large an insider's perspective has, much shows. Great! It is the same with 'Marisol tours', contact the shopping center next door. read more

It was a nice and relaxing vacation. The hotel complex was very well-kept and the employees are always friendly.
The rooms are cleaned daily, but in things mirror and glass not that much expect.
The food was excellent, much selection, only the cocktails were often a bit too much.
If you go on excursions wanted, then Bay in Plaza ( about 200 meters away from the hotel) when Hans Peter or Daniela from Germany or simply at the traders, is in any case cheaper for you. Our tour operator we were only the expensive offers made and basically drive always ... with the same organizers, no matter where your Bay.
Apart from that will enjoy your vacation!;-) read more

This hotel is its description to 100%. We had booked standard and received a bungalow.
Drinks in the minibar were refilled daily. Daily changing beach- and towels, as well as the cleaning of the rooms. All of the staff is friendly and accommodating. Pool was fantastic.
Guest service worries immediately about small or large concerns. Otherwise finds once a week an idea of manager and his team instead. One has also the right person. (for restaurants, front desk etc.. read more

We had a great holiday and could fully enjoy, the the hotel only from 18 years was (no the sound of children shrieking and yelling and constant run around)-, although we had our own children and Urenkelkinder have. Small faults there is always, but one has vacation and should not have any detail upset. Unfortunately we could a thunderstorm witness, since it has my husband even took fright get, so violently that was. But the hotel can but nothing and the next early again we had sunshine.

If you are with sun screen at the beach wanted, you had to at sixth hours to the beach go, which in the 2 weeks with marine debris and dirt covered was the distance of this dirt almost a week. If you Karibik beach expected, you're in the wrong place here. We felt like in the Nordsee. For the food we had generally line up, since there too few tables gave. The beverages there was except for the food only in paper cups. There is no bar, where you evenings comfortable and quiet could sit. The cleanliness of the rooms ... ( block 8) were to desire. On arrival we found in the bathroom yet things the previous tenant. The hair previous tenant were still after 2 weeks in the corners. Towels came partly only after 18. Hours.
This hotel is not recommendable and at best 2. 5 star rating. read more
