Very clean and always turned down well. The only odd thing is the lack of lights !!!!

Food is Egypt is never really good but this was the best I have had on all of my trips. Lots to chose from, hot !!!!! and most of it tasty. No complaints from me about the food.

Generally speak the service was great. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the animation team were probably the best of the lot. Lofty the pool barman during the day was brilliant and always helpful and was always busy working, others who worked with him were a bit lazy. There was one very rude barman who would insist that we went around the pool to collect glasses before he served us!! What does he get paid for? I'm on holiday! I have already explained about the staff previously but I think the reception staff could also do with some customer service training too. Apart from that the restaurant staff were all very friendly and chatty and most people very nice.

All I can say is that the animation team were brilliant. They made our holiday the fantastic time it was. Julia, Gemma, Cancan, Obama, Franchesco, Teto, Susu, Ilia, Negga (Bruno Mars lookalike), Ahmed, and the brilliant DJ Chipsy. All of them kept us entertained during the day and put on some great shows in the evening. Without them it would have been very boring.

The hotel was an amazing hotel, very clean and well kept, and close to local amenities and the marina etc... Having now been to Egypt on 4 different occasions I found the food in this hotel to be the best by far. There was lots of selection, and tasty, but most importantly for Egypt was that the food was actually hot !! There were a mixture of different nationalities in the hotel: Russian, English, German, Polish and many more. Everyone all got on very well and everyone said hello to each other every morning. In the evening everyone would join in and take part in the entertainment. There was no them and us it was everyone having a fantastic holiday together. What really made our holiday fantastic though was the brilliant animation team. Everyday they would come and say hello and make sure everyone was ok and happy. They never forced you to take part in anything and let you relax if you wanted to. However I do have to say that the holiday would not have been the same without them and they all gave the hotel some character. Cancan, the chief animation team person, was brilliant and he knew how to entertain everyone and was very friendly always with a smile. Then there was Gemma, an absolute star who was always bubbly. She always made sure you had what you needed and if there was anything you needed she would sort it out. Everyday Obama would take the water gymnastics and get everyone involved, and every morning I looked forward to seeing the smile of Julia. Chipset the DJ as brilliant, keeping you entertained all day however I've heard enough Brian Adams to last a lifetime!!! (Apparently the hotel management insist of this in the mornings which is quite depressing!!). And who can forget the Bruno Mars lookalike Negga. Only saw him for two days but again kept us entertained. The other members of the animation team all worked well together and without labouring the point made the holiday the fun that it was (Franchesco, Teto, Susu, Ilia, Ahmed). There is also one barman I need to mention, Lofty. He was the most helpful and busy barman, always ensuring we had a drink and everything was ok and satisfactory. Some of the others need to learn from him. Overall this was the best holiday I have had to Egypt and I would come back to this hotel again. There were however just a few negative point: 1. Every two days for some reasons our room keys would not work and when we went to reception to get them sorted out the reception staff were less than helpful, on some occasions very very rude. 2. There was a barman at the pool called Mohammed who was always incredibly rude. He would sometimes refuse to serve us drinks unless we brought back the glasses. We were a party of 11 and sometime he would say we are taking the piss by ordering 11 drinks and we should go elsewhere to another bar. He spoilt some moments of our holiday which was a shame. 3. The upstairs restaurant has no air conditioning or windows so when you eat there you are so hot and dripping with sweat because there is no air. This needs to be addressed because you cannot enjoy your food at those temperatures.

There was not a huge amount around the hotel but the hotel had so many facilities it was great. They had a private lagoon beach which was brilliant and definitely worth trying out. We did the usual boat trip which was good except in one area we were snorkelling the boat captain decided to flush out the tanks!! Not nice !! There are lots of other things to do depending on what type of holiday you want.

The rooms were family rooms and had a large double bed and two double sofa bends, air conditioned and with a small kitchen area. As with most hotels I have stayed in, there was a small counter top fridge, in a cupboard, but no mini bar (not a problem at all), there was a kettle and tea/coffee making facility. The fridge was suitably used to cool the bottles of water that were collected and brought in from outside. The room and facilities within, were more than adequate for us lads. The room had a safe and when the code was forgotten, a member of staff promptly arrived to unlock it with a master key. Mustafa was the room cleaner for this section of the floor and done a fantastic job. We would regularly arrive to find a swan created from a blanket.

There were four restaurants available to eat from, but we mainly ate from the El Sol ala carte, however we did eat from the Arabian Nights restaurant on the last two days and the food was just as good as the ala carte. Food was of a very good standard and there was a variety of choice.Along with a high standard of cleanliness, the dining experience was good. Bottled was readily available as was beer, but unfortunately on occasion was not chilled. This section would have received an excellent feedback if both were chilled. Snacks at the beach bar was also adequate, with an offering of fries, pizzas, or burgers.

The hotel appears to be a Thomas Cook partner but at no point were we made to feel any different. I initially made contact with the reception manager, Ahmed Hassan, and tee'd him up about our arrival. He was very approachable and facilitated us to keep our rooms up until 2pm on the day we checked out. The staff were more conversant in Russian and German than English so communicating exactly what we wanted was a tad difficult On the whole, the service received was of a high standard. The staff were put to test with some guests who had no concept of politeness and gratuity, but did well. As mentioned elsewhere, the staff worthy of mention was Lofty, at the pool bar, our room cleaner, Mustafa, the Animation team, the staff in the Spa and of course Mr Ahmed Hassan.

The pool area is also where the hotels animation team entertained the guests. Led by Cancan, there was Chipsy, the DJ, Gemma, Julia, Obama, Franchesco, Teto, Ahmed, Ilia, SuSu, and a guy who turned up towards the end our stay, who we called Bruno Mars. Each day there was aqua aerobics, water polo, volleyball, and boules. The evenings consisted of various themes from Karaoke, comedy shows, competitions, fakir shows and singers. We became a hit with the team and were always called out for as the Stag Party, and got actively involved in most activities. The team did an excellent job to entertain the different groups of guests, of different ages.

First things first, the adult only reference is not down to any theme! It's simply that this hotel is for adults only. No children! Right, now that we have that cleared, let me tell you about the stay and impression of the hotel. I had organised a Stag week at the Pyramisa Blue Lagoon, having stayed there on two previous occasions. We were 11 travellers in total and due to reasons beyond our control, the Pyramisa was no longer available. A tripadvisor search revealed this hotel as being highly recommended, so made the arrangements to change the hotel booking. I then started the process of liaising with Nicola Deeks from Lowcost holidays to change it to this hotel. This was an AI package with transfer to and from hotel. For a group this size, highly advisable. So we arrive at the hotel and as tour leader, I started the checking in procedure. There were two pitchers of drink at a table in the lobby, but we were not offered any (not a problem as we shared a bottle of Jaegermeister!). Once done we received our door key and towel cards, along with an information sheet regarding the eating arrangements. We took our own luggage up, due to our group size and went into our rooms; 661, 662, 663 and 667. The last two rooms had the better views of the pool and sea. I didn't count the rooms, but seeing that there were numbers in the 700's, I would hazard a guess and say that this was accurate. They were a mixture of sea and garden view. Guests typically comprised of majority northern England over 50's, Germans, young Russians and people in our own age group of 20's to 40's.

The hotel is situated on a stretch of road which is a short walk into the town centre and Marina. It has its own beach and lagoon and has a dive school. The airport is also a short distance of 15-20 mins away. Hurghada still has a large number of unfinished developments and this may give the impression of a run down city. It doesn't, it's just how the system of property development works out there. The hotel also has a number of jewellery shops, gift, bag, clothes shop, shisha bar and perfume shop, with no obligation to buy once you've entered. Definitely worth spending time to peruse through the goods. Adjacent to the hotel is its Samba bar, somewhere to go after the AI feature ends at midnight and there are also bars and clubs like, Retro, Zone, White Beach, Calypso, and Pappas in the Marina.

The rooms were basic but didn't lack anything you needed the room cleaners were very good and left different towel sculptures on the bed each day! Everyday fresh water was left in our room however in our brochure soft drinks were also supposed to be left in our fridge but we never saw any of these! Only a minor set back the room all in all was very basic but very good in retrospect!

The food was good as mentioned before with lot of choice and variation day after day The waiters were good and kept the tables clean and the restaurant tidy The only small complaint I have is that we went all inclusive and was not very impressed when a waiter used to walk round at breakfast offering you fresh orange juice and then telling you, you had to pay for it, for me all inclusive means to me that your drinks and your meals are already paid for included in the price of your holiday you should not have to pay any more for a fresh orange on a morning!

Excellent due to one special person in particular Ahmed of the animation team! You could not ask to meet a friendlier more helpful happy person in the world, he always came to greet all the guest on a morning in multiple different languages with a smile on his face and just knew what to say to make you laugh! Ahmed was always willing to help you with any small problem you may have although we didn't have many! He also never stopped working even after he had finished work taking guests out to the bars and clubs outside the hotel and staying with them until they were ready to go home even if it was 3am in the morning he would always make sure they were safely back in the hotel before he would leave them! Without meeting Ahmed on the first day of our holiday myself and the 5 other people I was with can safely say our holiday would not have been half as enjoyable as it was!! In general all the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly the food was well cooked the restaurants were clean and tidy and the rooms were spotless!

Been a lazy Brit I cannot comment on the activities during the day as I very rarely moved of my sun lounger during the day only to eat, drink and swim in the lagoon! The shows on a night were not to my taste, and found them quite poor, the best show while I was there I was told was the beach party on our second night but guests were expected to pay £10 for a ticket to go watch it, again been in an all inclusive hotel the shows on a night should be free to watch so we refused to pay the money and didn't watch it!

The hotel is a very clean and quiet place and a very nice place to chill out and not be disturbed! The food was good and there was always plenty of choice in one of the 5 restaurants 2 main restaurants a beach bar a beach restaurant and an alacart restaurant! The hotel generally attracts an older age range of guests and couples . The rooms we had were always kept to high cleanliness standard and were easily big enough to accommodate me and my girlfriend! The only small complaint we had with the room was the shower as it leaked a little so the bathroom floor was soaked once we had used the shower

Although the town is located in walking distance from the hotel it was not a very pleasant walk to get to the town with unfinished pavements and building work on going. We also found that the photos of the hotel found on the Internet and the holiday brochure are very miss leading as it look like the hotel is situated on a large beach which you could walk down, however when you get to the hotel you find that the beach is actually man made and is fenced of at either side to prevent you from walking anywhere along the sea front!

we was given two single beds and would of preferred a double bed but was easy enough to push together. Balcony was adequate with a good view. TV Was good with English films and programs. bath room was perfect. Air conditioned, fridge, hairdryer & kettle. Safe was free to use - this is the first resort that we have been to were the safe was free. The room was kept clean daily and was all modern.

there were different restaurants with a good selection of food eg English sunday roast. But some of it was the same just with a different name. chefs were always checking food to make sure there was enough. Alcohol wasn't the best but we was told they were changing supplier so should get better soft drinks selection was good. only problem was that it was all Inclusive but freshly squeezed orange juice was chargeable were we have always had it for free at other all inclusive resorts

99% of the staff were brilliant just an odd few but I really cant complain. They speak very good English and always friendly and happy to help if any problems. Room cleaning was great the room was spotless everyday and sometimes we had towel art on the bed. I had a small problem with mosquitos in my room but once I told reception they sent someone straight up to spray the room.

The Animation team made the holiday. I cannot fault there friendliness so many thanks to Cancan, Obama aka Akon, Teto, Gemma, negga aka Bruno Mars, Julia, Ilia, Franchesco, Ahmed, DJ Shipsey (music got a lot better and varied when he started). They were doing different activities all day evening entertainment was good and varied just needs to be a two week program instead of 1 week. internet access was not free and expensive whilst other resorts we have been to was free although if you used the bar within the resort it was free. Beech was really clean with ash trays supplied. Pool was always clean and always collecting glasses. Sunbeds were comfortable, towels were free and clean on a daily basis. Sunscreen wasn't the best due to being static.

I Cant really fault this Hotel. Food was Great (just need a few more choices). 99% of the staff were brilliant e.g Lofty. The rooms were great always cleaned everyday, good size, good view. Towels and bedding changed daily, fresh water delivered daily. Close to the town centre but far enough away that it wasn't noisy. Beach and lagoon clean.

Close to the airport about 10 minute drive. beach and lagoon great and right on your door step. Shops in the hotel good selection of everything but a lot more expensive than out side of the hotel. Excursions were varied and well advertised but sometimes a bit too pushy, you can get a red flag warning them not to bother you but at times this was ignored.

Our room was at the front of the hotel, facing the sea, with a lovely big balcony. Really couldn't have asked for anything more! The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was great! We had a t.v with several english channels, and all of the usual appliances- hair dryer, fridge, kettle, and a safe.

We found the food more than satisfactory! Obviously they have to cater for all nationalities but we never failed to find something we liked and the variation of food was always interesting! Plenty of vegetables and hearty foods. The waiters were always happy to bring you your drinks and everyone would always wish you 'Bon Apetite' The restaurants were very clean and well attended!

All staff really were a joy to deal with! They were always smiling and cannot do enough for you, without expecting anything in return! We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and any requests or queries we had were always dealt with straight away. You did not feel obliged to continually tip- which I think made it more relaxed. However the staff really do deserve to be tipped so putting a lump some in the tip boxes at the end of your stay for each group of staff is the best thing to do! The cleaning staff never failed to make our room look nice no matter how messy we left it! It made us smile to return to different towel designs each day. Even if you do not want your room cleaned they usually leave fresh water outside your room for you. They are such a hardworking team!

On the beach there were ample sunbeds, most with wind screen dividers for privacy which was a really nice touch! Some also with umbrellas and tables. The sunbeds themselves were surprisingly comfortable even those without mattresses! All of the animation staff were so friendly and never failed to make you laugh every day. They would always let you know which activities you could attend and would always try to encourage you to join in and make it a fun atmosphere. I went to yoga, water arobics and Arabic classes ( all free of charge) and enjoyed them so much!

The hotel is much grander and more beautiful than it first appears to be from the outside. They have really paid attention to detail inside, beautifully decorated- you really feel like you are in a classy place. I believe there are seven floors but it has personal touches and does not feel like there are great distances from your room to all of the access point, restaurants, beach etc. We found that our room was spotless and really couldn't find fault in it at all. Having stayed for eleven days we were more than comfortable and content in our lovely double room with a fantastic balcony! There was a variety of guests, we met mainly Russian and German guests- the staff are extremely well educated and can speak fluently with a surprising amount of nationalities.

The beach is on your doorstep- as are toilets from any point in the hotel. We enjoyed looking in all of the shops and picked up some real cultural gifts. Prices always seemed fair and the shop keepers were happy with some polite haggling. The excursions were very accessible as the staff will approach you on the beach and discuss with you everything that's on offer. In particular we went on a boat trip on The Tropicana. The Captain and staff (it is family run) were very friendly and made us feel well looked after and in safe hands. It was £25 per person which we feel was great value for money as it was from 8:30am-4pm, including lunch and going snorkeling! There is also a 'bracelet man' on the beach who hand makes beautiful bracelets in all colours and patterns (he'll also make them in front of you with your own choice of beads) They are great presents and very cheap!

The room was spacious, clean, rejuvinating and beautiful. The bathroom was hygienic and the air-con was convenient.

Tipping and pricing was reasonable. The traditional cuisine was outstanding.

The staff was very professional, kind, ethical and very helpful.

The pool was amazingly clean and refreshing. The disco was entertaining and was able to contact friends and family via email and social networks.

Sunrise holiday hotel is the best hotel ever. I love this hotel very much and the animation team is a very good team. Cancan jema abama ahmed tito Julia were the best more especially Dj Chipsy

Getting to the beach was easy and not far. Shopping facilities are exquisite and one can purchase almost anything.

Excellent size, excellent provisions. The beds are rock hard though!!

Best all inclusive we have ever been to in Egypt. The Chef is excellent. Well done!! Try the tomato soup :-) All areas are clean.

All staff are excellent and go out of their way to be polite. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard.

The entertainment team are brilliant. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Activities are on through out the day so there is always something for people to do. The beach is good with a small swim under a bridge to the sea.

The hotel is in a good location. A 15 minute walk to the Marina and there are some shops outside of the hotel. Things are a lot cheaper if you walk to these rather than pay the hotel shop prices. The animation team go the extra mile to interact with guests and make them enjoy their time. Tito is one of those people who you only need to look at and he will make you smile, guaranteed. Gemma, an English girl working with the animation team was great too. All very polite and funny!!

Good location. Central to all of the shops. The hotel is on a main road but you don't hear traffic as most rooms are sea view on the opposite side of the road.
