Relatively large, optically quite appealing complex with 8 floors. Very nice main gate with fountains and revolving door. Valet parking possible. Spacious and extensive lobby with tall palm trees and free the zimmergängen on the floors with a great view by a glass on the beach and the sea. Unfortunately is the furnishing, the on the first glance very high quality work, on the 2. view already felt run-down. The furnishing allgemeib is typically 90. Years, somewhat anrenoviert but not really up to date. In the lobby would be structural sufficient space for a beautiful stairs, which with 4 floors ... upward not so unreasonable would be. Unfortunately penetrates but the american philsophie by, that everything higher than one floor is, with the lift drive. There are 4 guests-elevators (each 2 in building distributed) from the but each 2 did not work. In a was still a barrier before to not function out, with the other one has equal completely passed after the motto, would already stupid looks if 50% of the elevators not functioning, it's random always only the rights of two. Mostly clean. We had unfortunately a (standard -) room to the street back. With closed balcony from the noise forth not a problem. As soon as you but opens: noise -> 4 lane street, construction site opposite. The dirt on the balcony railing is from the site. The balcony not really big. People, the expensive cars love, but the view of the driving by to get your moneys worth. All other should seaside book. The usual test-once with the finger over the picture frames to dust control-the loews here definitely also not pass (but you have fairly say, that 80% of the 4-and five star hotels bomb would). Sloppy job unfortunately run-down and stained. Room really spacious with massive beds with 4 pillows. Mini bar subject to a charge, there was a coffee machine with excellent coffee ( tabs) free of charge. The tabs even refilled daily. Furthermore, lots of storage, large closet, desk and more seating possibility. Lcd flat -tv with many channels. Spacious, modern bathroom with double -washbasin, separated shower -toilet-area, large mirror and even a further tv in the bathroom! With the bathtub, at the same time, shower is, you see, at least this refurbished recently is. Toilet-paper american-typical a touch of nothing.

The hotel lies very prominent between street and beach. On the street it is on the ground floor inside. From there there is 4 floors up and down. From the elevator issue, especially if you at the top to the beach will I above already reported. On the other side the hotel lies, by a small side street separated, directly at the beach. By a hotel's own estate with lawn and possibilities to lie down takes you directly to the sand. Location= top Very good: you can from the beach only with room card back to the hotel, entrance furthermore cameras. From the hotel one is in 5 minutes at the pier respectively 5 to 10 minutes the shopping streets of santa monica away. A bicycle etc. - rental is directly in front of the hotel at the beach. Evenings it is recommended however, above on the road along to/ from the hotel the direction of the centre to go and not at the beach, since nightfall there many windy make romp around and the orange lit boardwalk to night everything but welcoming. The hotel pool we didn't use, during the day it seems however quite crowded.
