Hotel has a brilliant location - directly on the beach Santa Monica. Shops and restaurants and cafes there are during the day at the beach respectively during the day and in the evening in the pedestrian area (300 meters on foot). Pool is relatively shallow, but ok. Chairs are not the whole day in the sun - shade by the hotel. Beach is very nice-towels for the beach there are in the hotel. Furthermore there is free wi-fi. read more

Relatively large, optically quite appealing complex with 8 floors. Very nice main gate with fountains and revolving door. Valet parking possible.
Spacious and extensive lobby with tall palm trees and free the zimmergängen on the floors with a great view by a glass on the beach and the sea. Unfortunately is the furnishing, the on the first glance very high quality work, on the 2. view already felt run-down. The furnishing allgemeib is typically 90. Years, somewhat anrenoviert but not really up to date.
In the lobby would be structural sufficient space for a beautiful stairs, which with 4 floors ... upward not so unreasonable would be. Unfortunately penetrates but the american philsophie by, that everything higher than one floor is, with the lift drive. There are 4 guests-elevators (each 2 in building distributed) from the but each 2 did not work. In a was still a barrier before to not function out, with the other one has equal completely passed after the motto, would already stupid looks if 50% of the elevators not functioning, it's random always only the rights of two. The waiting periods for the lifts are therefore unacceptable for a long time been, especially in the comparison small gebäudehöhe. The way over the (flight-) staircase was no real alternative as loud, steep, narrow and thus not very safe. Unfortunately looked during our stay anyone the elevators repair respectively service technician, what a loews hotel but very pathetic appears; here, you noticed that the gaps in the professionalism.
What concerns the cleanliness does not exist really something to criticize except for the spannreppich everywhere already a bit worn.
Breakfast should be paid separately and really important: before the prices study, otherwise you pay for 4 persons for a ridiculous, carelessly prepared served breakfast without much around just over 100,- Dollar! wenigtsens you get during the food or the invoice; therefore passes one the appetite, more to order.
Wi-fi there is free in the lobby and worked quite well-it is the open course up until 4th floor. It has but as a precaution (, although space enough would be ) not a single possibility to sit placed, the kostenpflichtien wi-fi-access in the room also overcome.
Guest structure: through the bank mixed, young to old, people on business trip, families with small children, couple, retirees, everything. natiolitäten also mixed. read more

We had a very commodious suite with a large terrace and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and the pier. The hotel is a bit old, but the service is excellent. To make you feel welcome and at home. The Loews was one of our stops on our trip to the United States and Hawaii and will remain in very good memories. It is to be recommended at any time. read more

The location and views to the beach were brilliant. However the hotel is primarily for business reserved. The hotel is almost daily as a place for business used. Here one noticed a clear 'preference for business'. The prices the food is very high. We preferred it, at the beach our snack to go ☺ all in all is the value for money for a holiday hotel ideal. The hotel has a very good fitness area (Spinning bikes, treadmill and various fitness equipment). In the sauna was every day fresh fruit to find, as well as various toiletries. read more

The loews Santa Monica is super at the beach and is characterized mainly guests from. Of of the lobby you are about minutes at the beach and sea. Attention should be paid to this however, that the beach not is private. Here always lots of people and partly is the beach not always clean. There are in the hotel but still a pool, however rather to celebrate as for a family vacation is suitable. Lots of young people from the greater los angeles it here at the weekends to use.
To the rest of the hotel is not lots to ... say. The rooms and whole area corresponds to the style of loews and is of a good standard. In the rooms could be a little bit modernised (tv, bathroom.). read more

If you want to stay in LA, you should choose Santa Monica. The Loews has a good price/performance ratio. The rooms are not new, but well equipped. The location is ideal and especially to be highlighted is the happy hour on the terrace. The service was great and the prices are okay. Guest parking expensive, but great service. We have felt ourselves extremely comfortable and would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Rooms are old, in need of updating. Staff is unmotivated and arrogant. Mostly on business. Hotel is hectic, was full of business on the convention. Valet Parking very expensive 34 $, totally swamped, takes about 30 minutes to have their cars. Price/performance ratio wasn't right. A sea view room for about $400 per day is much too expensive. read more

This hotel is especially for business travelers recommend, on each floor there is a large breakfast room, where every morning at six already duly what is going on. (Port breakfast meetings with etc... not ideal for holiday-makers. The hotel is located directly on a busy four lane main road, the windows are not insulated. In immediate proximity DIY a joinery... the staff is not without motivation, arrogant and not customer service oriented (except for pool service) read more

However, the sound proofing for a hotel of this class and not deserves a Loews-extremely noisy and the traffic from the main street almost not acceptable.

Tastefully designed (interior), expensive hotel almost right on Santa Monica Beach. Nice, spacious, with palm trees stocked glass-fronted lobby toward the Pacific Ocean. About the outside of the Löws can safely could argue, but the inside is excellent. Efficient concierge service for taxi and valet parking (unfortunately expensive). read more

Great hotel with great lobby (c. A. 50 meters high, with great palm and huge curtains. Very clean and with good food. Two negatives: 1 . The hotel is totally cold, everywhere bladders a cold air conditioning in the face 2 . It is on the terraces very choppy, you need in the morning even jeans with leather jacket read more

Great Hotel.
When you arrive you will friendly welcome-the doors are open and unpack will help you out. Valet parking should be used, because it wasn't expensive (compared to other hotels) and the Parpklätze in the area are not so the real, or 'overnight parking' (for example in the parking lot behind the hotel on the beach) is not allowed and very picky/and respected (ticket ^ ^-you get a few minutes after the parking lot was closed).
The car at any time of the day or night can be recovered (one phone call and 15 minutes to the waiting time ... for a tip for the cars don't forget to get (2-5 $each time, as appropriate, or normally considered).
At the reception we were welcomed friendly and the check-in, and check-out worked perfectly (of course, you should speak English! the United States).
The hotel is a bit winding, but relatively easy to find your way. on the back it is a few minutes to the 'muscle beach' -there is always something going on and with a few minutes more along the beach to the Santa Monica pier (a small amusement park on the pier). Here at least children, but also young-at-heart crowd adults a little variety-a trip there but worth it.
The 'third-street promenade' is also just a few minutes walk from the hotel. There are a number of shops and restaurants and evening since the post.
Our room had ocean-view, which was worth it in spite of the bad weather (it was almost always clouds garlanded and hazy), because if it had cleared, it was really fantastic. We had a small balcony without some furniture-under us it was right terraces with sun beds etc. if you want to use, this should probably with the desk review-the view should not suffer too much, even though it is a bit lower than our room was located.
Since the hotel wasn't directly by the beach, but rather in the second row, the view is not unlimited. Depending on where the room is located, you will see not very much from the pazific. The room at first and when not efallen with the front desk spoke.
The room was big enough, even if I have larger rooms have seen. Cleanliness was absolutely okay and bathroom/toilet are divided into two rooms (shower/toilet and sink/mirror). Next to the mirror was a small flat screen tv, so you on the television in the bathroom not-even under the shower.
The sleeping area is absolutely comfortable, although relatively basic-we are 5-star more. A large flat screen tv on the wall a on the system even with your own name (nice gimmick!).
For trips into the closer (La, Malibu, etc.), or other area (San Diego) this hotel was also very good. The price-performance ratio was seen, but rather expensive. read more

We had a room with a great view of the ocean. The promenade runs directly behind the hotel, you can stroll from Santa Monica to Venice beach. The Santa Monica pier is only a few minutes walk from the hotel, but the whole is more for children. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, in particular the concierge was very imaginative. read more

Loews Santa Monica is a generously arranged hotel with sophisticated atmosphere. The cleaning staff was very nice and do a good job, at the reception, we finished business. You should speak English, because the will (or can) on linguistic Flexiblität is very low. Travellers with car service must take advantage of the hotel's park ($34/day), as there are night available Stassenraum is in public.
The rooms are sufficiently large and have a small standing balcony. The furniture was old, there is a forty-inch flat screen tv, mini bar, and safe, and the beds are soft and very high. The rooms ... have air conditioning. Bathroom, toilet and shower and two rooms.
In the rooms quiet, you don't hear anything from next door.
In the courtyard of the hotel there is a medium sized pool. where you can eat. Friendly, nice and clean.
Through the back door (only with room card) is a hundred meters on the spacious and very clean beach, the stretching in both directions.
The cheaper rooms are very loud Ocean Avenue out, 'luxury' from category you have a direct view of the Pacific Ocean, gorgeous!
In Santa Monica there are a variety of restaurants and bars, best at walking distance, since we anyway never reasonable or inexpensive parking. Within a radius of about two miles is everything. read more

The location is simply unbeatable! Right next to the Santa Monica pier on the promenade 'muscle beach'. A bike rental service is right in front of the hotel, access to the beach. We rented a bike and are great promenade to the 'Marina Del Rey'. In the hotel there was the possibility to have breakfast. We only 'to go' and are equipped with our mandatory coffee paper cups and a bagel in the bag at the beach to breakfast. The coffee and biscuits were exceptionally cheap and good! The pool is heated, the beach chairs and seating possibilities at the ... pool was very nice and the view of the Pacific Ocean from here simply fabulous. There were no towels at the pool and very friendly service. The room and bathroom were rather small, but clean. Valet parking 30 $, favourable parking spaces nearby found. read more

A great hotel in Premiumlage. Not cheap, but impeccable comfort overlooking the pier. The charge for ocean view you should pay. The restaurant at the hotel you can recommend to anyone traveling to Minneapolis. Delicious wines to choose from and the filet mignon should be skipped. Behind the hotel there was a fee required, convenient parking, so it's not the $30 per day for parking in the hotel. Everything is well within walking distance. read more
