You pay for this hotel first of all the location and the name of the titisee lake. As the comparison to other accommodation is missing, it is very difficult to decide, whether the price & the category (both high ) really justified are. There are many mosaic stones with wow factor, but also various loopholes, the full picture missing.
The hotel lies directly at the lake, very centrally located at the end the shopping street-really great. Driving directions via pedestrian precinct - itself definitely a picture on the city map make. Hotel parking & underground parking costs extra (why?!), are ... however inevitable. As a lot here separately charged is, what you in this hotel category (or superior booking) than included would have expected, for example wi-fi web access (only on certain floors and via t-online for €available ), a bottle of water and corresponding number of glasses (not only on the first day) included.
Hotel kempinski heiligendamm -room (double and single) booked, with the size, facilities and lake views on the grounds. Double on the 2. floor had direct lake view, single on the 1. floor only around the corner (and less attractive view of the porch). Rooms were okay, but no wow factor. The 1st floor smelled pleasant fragrant and renovated, in comparison to 2. floor. On this there was no wi-fi, which current time just is. For sporty there is a staircase, for older generations are the 2 elevators rather tight. Clean rooms, ok equipped (even when not top modern), with carpet, mini bar, safe, tubes -tv. Room service was mediocre. If you 7:30 the room left and appropriate green sign leaves, you have, that it then 2:30 p. m. is finished, but unfortunately apparently there was more important or other priorities. Apart from the 1st day there was no individual personal details.
It is hard, good, whether through games room, bowling alley, children buffet, families with small children & baby carriages for the food well positioned. The pricing attracts families at.
Whether's on new year was, it was a offered programms, excursions to Lake Constance over speckseminar, dinner on the ski hut, to kremserfahrten around the lake. There should be better marketed (wann/was/wo), because the organizers are really hard, an experience to make. Very nice personal care, from the cookie on photo to sparkling wine.
As also otherwise worth the personal put, the hotel boss is at some events thereby, the restaurant manager makes regularly rounds and speaks all, the institution theory are by name, function and image to rally the authority expected (very positive! See photo). Sometimes you can feel however the 2-classes-treatment and a regular has preferred care (reserved breakfast table, personal greetings). The restaurant-service is however miles from of the category away - for breakfast neither greeted nor pro actively for coffee/tea, in the evening it was missing to the part on peace & professionalism, too many mistake and mishaps. The quality of the dishes was correct, the beverages rather than overpriced.
In sum, it is a nice hotel, great located, but you should for this price 3 think about, what you want. read more

I had no so large expectations because of the entries at holidaycheck. The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. Water spots on the flurteppichboden, stains on the floor in the room, bathroom 70. years. By the windows it moved, the sauna cabin is very in need of renovation, the swimming pool ok. Wonderful is the view from the indoor pool to the lake and the top location of the hotel right on the lake. Very good the furnishing 'hochschwarzwaldcard', the many free entrances allows. The 'bathing paradise' visit! The breakfast and dinner in the hotel was great! It wasn't ... missing anything and tasted very good. Also the staff in the restaurant (particularly the head waiter or waiter ) were very friendly and accommodating. A bad impression the staff at the reception. On the penultimate day i withdrew my badeparadies a lumbago to, could hardly have to walk (we were on foot there) and on my please call, should pick up, it was called me basically: it is at the moment nobody there, the pick-up. There was no demand, how i was or the offer to call us a cab. Bad service. read more

We had a pleasant stay and could once again get away from it all. The hotel is a little and old, nevertheless there were nothing to fault, since the value for money tuned. The bathing / sauna area seems and too small, in case the hotel once fully occupied should be, apart from that makes up the adjoining sunbathing lawn directly at the lake. Breakfast/ dinner with a view of the lake ( with good weather) have something and help to relaxed atmosphere when. The staff were always attentive, nice and accommodating but not pushy. The cleanliness of the rooms and of the hotel was all right. The location by the sea is very nice and for example the bar at the fireplace very comfortable.
The food was good and diverse, however for four stars in my opinion a bit too 'uninspiring'. Solid food, but nothing special. The waiters in the restaurant were friendly and attentive, however seemed a little stressed.
Now for the less positive things:
1) a confirmation e-mail came relatively quickly, but the annex not open. A clear, coherent document is in pdf standard as annex is really not too much requires. ... On the renewed request there was no answer.
2) in the hotel was hardly reliable wi-fi available.
3) the front desk was call several times not accessible, even though you on our way back short time later with three people well staffed seemed to be.
4) the spa treatment was good, but similar to the end rather a pitch for overpriced creams and lotions.
5) very annoying at the end the more than 100 €inflated bill. On demand corrected the lady at the reception the invoice amount, without apologizing. Da 'was probably the bill left, without the controlled'.
Apparently this is in the hotel more frequently.
Overall cloud especially the last two points rather the wellness feeling. A shame! read more

Despite some negative reviews, we can only as a family this hotel most warmly highly recommend. It is indeed a bit getting old, but everything is still well maintained and kept in good condition. The location is great, the restaurant (and the better rooms) a great view over the lake. About 400 meters from the ground at the malrischen promenade along. We had a budget room on a tour operator booked, so called forest and smallest size, but it was clear beforehand. Nevertheless had the room plenty of room for two adults and two children (1 and 4). Since we ... were out and about a lot, was the room not so important. Great and we really liked, which the hotel for families features: the pool is not large, but perfectly adequate, to relax, sauna, solarium, infrared cabin-everything was top of our oldest bowling alley (really old-school and almost cult!) so impressed. The games room great and the fitness room as well. Brilliant: almost in front of the door a 1.2 kilometer long toboggan run ends, you either by bus or on foot could climb. Thanks black ForestCard are two exits free of charge. With the card you also has three hours free entrance every day in the bathing paradise, the approximately two kilometers away and by a nice walk from the hotel and can be reached. After this short get away we had booked the same night in another weekend January. The very competent, very friendly and always helpful staff at the front desk! All in all a excellent short break in a beautiful hotel. read more

35 Euro surcharge per day for a superior room is much too much. Not directly on the sea side have renovated. Burn holes in the carpet, and no 35 Euro supplement the rooms are just old. And for parking per day seven, 50 Euro must pay is not okay. It begins when you enter the hotel, and the door behind a flying to the castle. The building power from the outside a dark and unobtrusive impression, but inside is clean comfortable and very clean. the hotel has approximately 100 rooms most of which were very nicely renovated. We had two double rooms with a connecting door and balcony with a view of the sea. We have half board and were during the day on the way. the building has its own large parking and an underground garage. read more

We liked it very much. A little getting old but everything was nice and clean. Room with balcony and view of the titisee are recommended. Wonderful. At the breakfast was nothing to complain about. Nice restaurant again views of the lake. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating at the front desk. Very many leisure options for young and old. Very important: Please restart sure to visit the bathing paradise Black Forest. Very interesting is the guest card that you receive from two nights. read more

We were very pleased on our romantic weekend. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. 4-the course menu on the first evening was inedible. The 5-course menu on the second evening in the same restaurant from A to Z perfect. We don't know why. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The hotel is in need of renovation and not to our taste 80er style. The best part was the carriage ride through the Black Forest. We really enjoyed and was recommendable. We have made our weekend the best, but better at home and the money would have been saved or andersweitig ... spent. A shame. read more

After the evaluations with holidaycheck I had so my fears this arose but not. clearly it is an older Hotel (according to the elevator 1980), the style may be a matter of taste, I think this is crucial. It is essential, however, that the situation of the hotel is excellent (a little traffic noise from the B maybe 500 exception), the staff was polite and courteous (front desk very polite and efficient) and the food was very good, the breakfast buffet is adequate (everything was there!), perhaps in the high season (excellent) a little crowded. The public is very International. ... We thought it was much better, as previously described. well, we were only two nights there, perhaps we didn't see everything we can recommend the hotel in any case.
Yes, a small gripe is the parking garage for 7.50 is OK, but not the parking lot for the same money! Where else! parking?? read more

You can see the entire hotel complex, urgently necessary that renovations. A room upgrade was made on the part of the hotel also without asking. The room is bright and well equipped, the Lake view and enjoy the afternoon sun for. Overall very nice location right on the lake. The staff is friendly and tried very hard; they tried to remedy the defects of the hotel. The whole decor beautiful pool area, the gym was a converted cellar. read more

Despite clean linen and towels, the room dingy. The furniture and the Carpet had its best days behind itself, the bed was worn out and a shower curtain in the bathroom was not anymore. In the sauna and pool area there was mold and a relaxation room for the sauna visitors you can only find in a passage on the way to cold. Wellness atmosphere is not. read more

Unfortunately the hotel is not recommendable. The food was adapted and provides for stomach ache. Our room was a former smoking room and Address the accordingly. The hotel is for guests in our age is not ideal. A good point is the lace and peace. We will take account of the hotel. read more
