Top -hotel with great views of Central Park & city

We were too third (with our 17-year-old son) and booked a room with park view-excellent! The hotel has no special extras and no animation, only a small gym. But everything, what a successful city break in New York is important - especially a amazing location, south of the Central Park. Many important sights and stadtprägende objectives are within walking distance. A subway station is directly next to the hotel. Nevertheless it is quiet. The rooms are spacious and all have a view of the park or city view. We booked without catering, therefore no comment. read more

The view of the Central Park was terrific, unfortunately was the carpet in the room very dirty and the bathroom very small. The beds were good. The breakfast was a joke. There was just sweet, bread and butter! That was everything! Everything else you could extra it must order, which of course extra costs. This means sweet, like cakes, bread and butter cost as breakfast 30$! But you can in the area with a better value for money breakfast. read more

Ideal for New York-Travelers. Central park opposite, metro around the corner. All important easy to reach on foot. Good service (for us a pack of packaged and with ups shipped ). Internet and mini bar very expensive, but small ice-cold fridge in the bathroom. Built-in cupboard with a safe, large dresser. Bathrobe and slippers. Rooms are large, bright and clean. read more

Initially it looks like a great hotel. But on closer inspection you quickly noticed, that it is not a lot of importance on cleanliness and friendliness was. But this should be a five-star hotel actually be provided. In our bathroom were already at arrival to find some hair from the previous guest, which improved in the next few days. After a girl at the front desk was friendly to the point, this was very unfriendly and it changed nothing at all. In the room itself was clearly visible, probably rather rare that a vacuum is used. Generally very unfriendly staff ..., except for one or two. Conclusion: great location, but it makes up for the lack in no way! read more

The hotel is in a perfect location for a city break to Ny! The central park, fifth avenue the, Rockefeller center are just around the corner. Furthermore, Times square, crysler building, Empire Statebuilding etc. we have achieved within walking distance. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but nearby there are good coffee shops and Starbucks or breakfast in the restaurant from Rockefeller center. The only negative thing about the room was the heating, the total noisy clattered. We have therefore in a night always turned off and it was therefore corresponding fresh in the morning ☺ NY is the ... greatest city on earth, I would highly recommend! Viieell Spaassss! PS: view from Rockefeller center is much eindrücklicher, than from the Empire Statebuilding. read more

The hotel is located directly on the Central Park, near the Plaza hotel. All main tourist attractions are easily accessible on foot. A metro station is next to the hotel, so that you could use it at any time for longer distances. The room booked was very large. There were 3 of us and had enough space. We have a city trip in this hotel. Arrival check in top. Had problem at the airport and our lost night was thoroughly without surcharge refunded. The room was very nice at first glance. The bathroom was a bit small and not very clean. We had good view (Central park). It was a good night's sleep in the US is not often the case. It was relatively quiet at night even though it is on a busy street. We have no hesitation in recommending this guesthouse. The shopping area, as well as the transport to the sights * perfect * ... The cozy invites you to walk the Central Park where you may get lucky has squirrels to see. We had ordered a NYC pass of the internet (pick-up at the Planet Hollywood) just great, we saved so much money. A hop-on-off tour was also there as well as a night tour of Brooklyn. We did a lot of exploring on foot is just nice you will see far more, but the feet they appreciate it a in the evening-). The breakfast in the hotel is highly recommended the view was really great, but it is also a bit more expensive, but we always worth this is it. Behind the hotel is the Garden Café also very nice and really competitive prices (Alternative to the breakfast in the hotel). The staff at the hotel are very friendly and very helpful which made our stay very pleasant. We would love to return sometime. read more

Our room (#3006) was on the 30th floor with view of the city, was big enough and well equipped. For New York standards you can say nothing. The color of the room was overwhelming in the first moment but you get used to it. Room has a large bed (1,4m wide) a large commode with minibar (beware!!!) a work desk and a small sitting area. The bathroom was large enough with bathtub. The room itself was clean anyway there was always some dust available the whole room with carpet, where the dust but better than on tiles. Still one could not complain about. Every morning we had at the door the latest edition hang the complimentary New York Times.

This review is a object somewhere between rather bad and was good. The room was for in midtown Manhattan quite spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and clean. It had a small sitting area, desk, mini bar, safe, telephone, bathrobes and shoes, iron and ironing board and iron, and a fairly large flat screen TV. Every morning we got the daily newspaper at the door. The big drawback was the bathroom: it was just plain old and dirty, whereas the age of the furniture problem was the decline. It was very dusty throughout the bathroom. Hair on the floor when opening the toilet window in the toilet plumbing would still on the green bond of a tampons, on the upper edge of the sink looked black deposits. The wallpaper in the near the bathtub was loose and stand. The bathroom in general did clear impression when you take a closer look for an extended period, that it wasn't that must have been properly cleaned.

Sad but true: We encountered only the staff at the hotel friendly, for its services a tip inciting companies. The welcome at the hotel: instead of a few true a disaster nice words to welcome was right our credit card may require a travel agent (even though we had booked and paid the trip was long). You were also in this hotel to be quite unfair and the staff are not particularly helpful.

The hotel is certainly one of the better, perhaps a bit older.

  • Location

The hotel was in a great location. Right on the Central Park and therefore relatively "quiet". A metro station is just a few steps away from the hotel. Fifth Avenue shopping and Times Square are just a short walk away. If you are lazy, a few metro stations Times Square are all within walking distance. In short, the hotel is reasonably quiet yet is best of both worlds!

Hotel. Very good location, directly on the Central Park South, 5th Avenue and Broadway are not that far. Room 3006. furniture worn-Chrakter - for example the Goldfarbe the Sessellehnen has you when touched clothing and the hands, abgesessene upholstery, on the cupboards partly already missing paint, drawers made the impression as if you move in fall apart and are heavy - everything is probably as old as the antique style, the safe seemed/is rather uncertain, which means, was simply not built in closet, fridge in the bathroom! Bathroom rickety and rather battered hardback copy taps - without thermostat, so you ... need to turn back and forth inconvenient to the correct temperature, not positionierbarer free baumelnder shower head, dingy depicting bathtub with shower curtain - everything savory ancient! a plug would only cumbersome set up so that the shower water did not drain properly ! Showers were so rather unpleasant! The tile grouting and silicon joints provide for gross looking (brown deposits) in the corners. Overall this room is absolutely in need of renovation and (looked) wasn't very well kept and the price for that definitely unfairly high. read more

Overall this is a pretty "umtriebiges" hotel with unspektakulärer decor and a few Peculiarities. This seemed a bit overpriced given the benefits. The very good location has this lack more than made up for it. read more

The rooms are very big by American standards. Decor and furnishings show a bit plush, but they are consistent. Good mattresses! The decor is not new, but fully functional and harmonically balanced. TV, minibar, air conditioning, Internet access, safe, everything restaured available.

  • Gastronomy
    4.0

There are two restaurants, one, the main restaurant, we only had breakfast once. This was expensive by American standards, but ok. This means that the usual fare offered were of good quality, bagels, cream cheese, jams, pastries, fruit salad. The coffee was not our taste. We enjoyed the breakfast only once taken here and then on alternatives. For example. Starbucks or the next to the adjoining restaurant Sabareth (!). The second restaurant is more of a "garden-bar". You can sit very nice outside. We can't comment on food because we really based on the us very expensive highpoint rates did not try. However it is well worth here the -relax from hectic urban US a drink.

  • Service

The service is not as convincingly as the location of the hotel. Although the hotel was friendly, but we weren't havel competent. The problem seems to lie in particular the exchange of information. Example: A lack glasses both in the bathroom, as well as at the mini-bar. After the Louison (!) requirement Bargläser brought another section, with a request to call we also get toothbrush glass ..... The service in the breakfast room seemed not so friendly and competent. We were not satisfied with the room cleaning. Here was only superficially looks and within the 4 days we were there, only vacuumed once.

Great location, right on the Central Park. You can morning runs directly to the outside standing hop-on-hop-off bus and important Einkaufsstätten and museums within short walking distance. For example. The Moma in 10 minutes, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 15 minutes, the Guggenheim in 20 minutes. The Einkaufstempel mountain village Goodman, is only 5 minutes away and the Schuhladen by Manolo Blachnik is right next to the Moma, so 10 minutes away. A special mention the view when you book a room with Parkview. Stunning!!! In the morning you awake and overlooks the Central Park, so that makes up for some points of the hotel.

A place to relax and recreation: Despite the large number of rooms (nearly 600) had the feeling at no time, just "room number". The front desk and check-in was quick but warm, sweet surprises in the room (and the each cleaning) are standard. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The amenities in lobby and rooms is old fashioned, but it is great stylish, comfortable, seemed very European and not American. Top! read more

I guess, ours was because of the favorable price a simple category and almost felt like one of the best. Generous, space for clothes and luggage in the closet, large bed, desk and a sitting area available. Bathroom with bath/toilet / vanity! Air conditioning could be individually controlled and was not too noisy. Safe, internet access and telephone (surcharge). The furniture is probably some years in the service, which you can see at signs of usage. However it was nothing broken or "worn".

The hotel offers a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop in the garden. We have none of the offers use them, but while those in the city. The minibar was filled, but it is very expensive.

Excellent! The staff in both the Rezeotion as well as the concierges were available at any time of the day professional and very friendly people to contact! partly could even with their colleagues brüchigem German. The rooms were cleaned every day, the towels and sheets changed daily. And a daily Schokoladengruß impression! No complaints!

The best part: the location! Right at the foot of the CentralPark between 5th and 6th Ave, only 5 minutes walk to the next big subway station, 10 minutes to Broadway and Times Square - for every New York-tourists the best starting point!

Great central location, close to the Central Park, a few meters away from the 5th Ave and metro station. It's about a 10 to Times Square and the Empire State Buildin-15 minutes and Rockefeller Center are in about 20 minutes walking distance.
