The Hilton in Istanbul is certainly one of the best affordable hotels in Istanbul. It impresses with its seine very central location (to taksim square). I was already for the 2. time and can great service and the good food only indicate. Next to a huge choice at the breakfast also offers the restaurant al bushra. Next to a gigantic view the restaurant offers excellent cuisine for upscale taste buds to. A visit to the connected bar is a must in this hotel. Service and check-in in the executive area is very good and the posting highly recommended.
Many attractions ... are reachable on foot. I recommend all Istanbul-visitors also times secluded from normal tourist paths to move. A walk on the taksim square and galata tower (simply times the views), continue on the galtabrücke and at the end of a great fish sandwiches; enjoy. Who good on foot then up to the gulhane park at the end of a café, with a great view of the bosphorus.
Definitely even with the ferry, for example after üsküdar or kadikoy. Here there is a variety of restaurants and shops. A course to ortaköy is worthwhile, here you will find lots of small snack stalls, as well as cafés and bars.
Shppingmöglichkeiten were varied: istinye, akmerkez and other shopping malls, and outlets nearby both airports. read more

The central nearby the Taksimplatzes, hotel really pleased us, because it is a real oasis in the hecticness of the city is. Due to the location on a massive estate one noticed no disturbing traffic noise. The rooms are comfortable large and equipped with all the comforts, the bathroom is better only
For one person to use. All facilities in really good quality available, the prices for the mini bar are however utopian. We had including breakfast booked, in choice and quality was attractive. The service and the cleanliness we found excellent. Restaurants and bars we didn't use, however the ... pool, the very well-kept and pleasant. The value for money is quite appropriately, if we once again to Istanbul come, we will gladly in the Hilton again. read more

This is one of the best hotels in Istanbul, located in the European part of the city, in the modern center Taksim, close to Taksim Square with all bars and restaurants and the luxury part of the city , Nisantasi where there are the most exclusive boutiques.
On one side of the hotel is a splendid view of the Bosphorus. Rooms are standard Hilton, big, nice furniture, warm collors, large luxury bathroom and large balcony. The hotel is very good for a city break in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Hilton - no comment. Best quality, very nice reception. Located in the heart of Istanbul, overlooking the Canal Bosphorus. Short walk time to get the city centre. In this hotel were few interesting guests - eg. Elizabeth II. One weakness - you need to pay to have a Wi-Fi connection. read more

Hilton in Istanbul, a good choice

The Hilton in Istanbulist the oldest five-star hotel of the city from the years 1955 and a Istanbul Icon. similar to the similar legändere INSEAD in Miami (1953)-the zweitälteste luxury hotel is the nearby (expensive) Hotel divan lying in 1957, has just been renewed completely (first September 2011)! The Hilton is certainly a bit 'dated' but still very well maintained. The price/performance ratio was right in any case. It is in particular the huge and beautiful pool area with its trendy cabanas, which invite to relax when the weather is nice, really. Here are the great Hochzeitsfeierlichkeiten the company held ... in Istanbul ☺ The breakfast buffet is excellent.-but also in this hotel only to 10,30 ☹ Saturday & Sunday until 11:00 A.M. The situation in particular to Taksim square, the hub of Istanbul is great; about 8 minutes walk; an elegant district with its great shops, nisantasi is short walking distance. By the way: the very cheap yellow taxis have at least a bit of English in the property. German speaking driver impressive. (Contrary to widespread would say most of the taxi driver neither German nor English.) expensive, or in the adjacent dark KERVANSERAY 'restaurant & Turkish night club (since 1949) to be', etc. but when belly contrary to all warnings not to be scrapped because (www. kervansarayistanbul. com). Finally, it is of course the spectacular views over the Bosphorus, the only a few other hotels/locations like this. The hotel is 55 years old and exterior. The inside is in good shape. The bathrooms are so small, the rooms themselves are good. For the views of the Bosphorus you pay a lot of money. There are tourists as well as business travellers. The hotel has endless reason, the was noticeably (clear, 55 years ago then there was still nothing), so you also great through the hotel's leafy garden within walking distance. It also has a large outdoor pool area ... with tennis court. read more

The Hilton Istanbul is situated in the middle of the old town, just a few steps away from Taksim square, the historical tram and the pedestrian area; but in a rather quiet secluded part. The other reviews mentioned 'disco' in the night I could not. The hotel is 55 years old, but good 'in good shape'. The rooms were big enough, have a balcony, air conditioning, safe, iron/ironing board, minibar, ' coffee/tea-making facilities 'and a decent bathroom. The several times mentioned 'old tv' has been replaced by accident during my stay on a new flat-screen.
The breakfast is a real ... hit: the combination of well-known 'American breakfast' (with detailed hot and cold part) and Turkish dishes. Especially to be highlighted is the friendliness of the staff: very nice, very accommodating.
Beautiful is dual pool area surrounded by a garden. There is for the 'rich' even 23 rooms at the pool with its own large terraces duration rent. For hotel guests there were enough pool chairs, towels and so on and service is guaranteed. I am always impressed, if a city hotel in downtown big and beautiful garden and pool area is. Another reviewer wrote about the indoor swimming pool 'scabby', which is what I can't confirm. It was neat, but not too large and with nothing special and a bit out of the way, but the hotel directly accessible. But it is surely only in winter rather used, when you have such a fantastic outdoor swimming pool! Small disadvantage of the pool area is, that it repeatedly in the evening for cocktails or weddings elegant and then about 18 hours end with the balneology in the outdoor swimming pool.
The area is very large and is on several levels from heights and despite lifts and paths the hotel is not recommended for people with mobility problems (also a systembau with zentrallift and long hallways).
The view in both directions (Bosporus and city) is impressive. If you sometimes a bit complicated Hilton-pricing sussed out, you can stay in 5-star quality, excellent at attractive prices.
Hilton has its own congress Center, but also the Istanbul Convention Center is located on the same site; close by foot or with the small funicular are also the buildings, the technical University distance.
The airport bus stops in five minutes walk from the Hilton (TL 10.00, so 5 €; skip the expensive taxi, that could not faster progress).
If you have to work in the old town and obligations mixing with Wellness and relaxation, this hotel on the safe side. read more

We spent a week in the 5. Floor with views of the Bosphorus. The Hilton is from the size and furnishings a true 5 star hotel. During about half of the guests, it really care for the quality and other - mostly oriental guests - rustic manners. roommates next to us were as big family arrived and had several rooms are available for hire. The doors were open and screaming then you from room to room, while the kids back and forth kids then romped around very loudly. On entering the dark was daily in a about 300 meters east ... below the hotels nearby disco the your nerves fully turned on. The bass from full load drove us despite ear plugs in the bones - sleep was only at dawn to think. The problem was well known in the hotel, they sent the disco regularly although the police, but nothing caused. Such conditions are for us with a "5 -star-hotel totally unthinkable!! A guide said there would be such a rowdy not even in the Billigbuden at Ballermann in Istanbul stating "in the middle past the all". After 6 nights we were totally annoyed then got in the night before we left a quiet room facing the street/park side. read more

After a cruise at the black Sea we arrived at 9:30 A.M. to the Hilton and were immediately in the executive lounge, as our room was not ready. We enjoyed a very good breakfast and after about one and a half hours we could move into our beautiful double room with panoramic views of the city and the sea. Next to a hand-written welcome to the manager Sascha coalfish we were also fruit and small goodies. That was the great beginning of our short stay and we will continue to be always felt very comfortable. A late check-out ... was not a problem. This is our the service at the Hilton just before. The hotel was already a bit older, but it is in a quiet location and the beautiful overall impression make it an absolutely recommendable city hotel. Tip: definitely Executive book, as the extra costs for the drinks just like in all the quality hotels are very high. read more

The rooms in the executive area are a reasonable size, a balcony with seating and a desk. The rooms with Bosphorus view had great views. The lounge is very well done, large, with all amenities. The outdoor pool made a very good impression, also the fitness center, the indoor pool with jacuzzi but smelled very damp, didn't feel maintenance, exactly the same for the steam room, but the sauna was very neat, clean and un within a reasonable size, though the cold plunge pool without water additionally, the hotel offers a hammam. read more

Yes the Hilton in Istanbul. It is indeed a Hilton top hotel, modern date and with the Hilton standard mistake? Or, it is now old, outdated and not more timely accordingly. Unfortunately or thank goodness true in all a bit too. The hotel had already had some decades (4-5) behind. Sometimes you can see it in other parts and everything is perfectly maintained and renovated. A Hilton with opposites house. It polarises. read more
