An excellent hotel, very competent front desk, the staff in the first class restaurant did not speak german, even though you german speaking lessons from the hotelier free of charge were offered... Apart from that a very recommendable hotel for people the nature and relaxation in a private, nice atmosphere search.
To recommend anytime again... And will gladly come again... read more

We have our stay the atrio absolutely enjoyed. The quiet location with good car access and the hospitality and warm care from the staff have our vacation rounded. Also the fine cuisine on site after a long hiking and day exactly the correct. For good wine and good warm kitchen could we our day quiet drink. So for all the recuperation need, is the atrio a wonderful capacity to peace to come. read more

That we for the 4. time were there, says it all. We have found it, what we to be comfortable need. It is a small, quiet and very well maintained hotel, everything very nicely done. Starting with the very tasteful decor to homemade bread and made marmalades. The food is magnificent and it is good to know, after hiking not anywhere else to have. Particularly to the holidays is the atrio always very much trouble, with outstanding menus, great set, a formal feeling to give.
It is great as a starting point for hiking towards the Funchal, Porto Moniz and ... on the plateau.
We can only recommend it and are definitely coming again back. read more

We have a hideaway and it found here. For 10 years we spend relaxing vacation in atrio at all times of the year, this time in november. The hotel is so nice, that not even the rain didn't bother. Emmanuelle and mikael are solicitous host, advise on for walks and inform on warnings and weather conditions. A small hotel, in the you could get out, but also easily friends get to know. Every evening in the small restaurant - with a very great madeirensischen kitchen - was a meeting with rain autausch on the hikes. The breakfast is very good ... and if you hike a lunch box easier, you will find the tastiest cakes on Madeira. We enjoyed the time at the atrio and we already look forward to our next visit. read more

The atrio is a family-run hotel with very personal charm. The staff are all very helpful and always friendly. Most of them speak German or English. We wanted a hiking vacation on Madeira and were here just perfect. The host offers once a week guided hike with the hotel guests at. Otherwise you can every day a lunch package to float, which was very convenient for the hiking is, because not always possibility to get away on the way are. Guide, hiking sticks and flashlights are sufficiently in the hotel available. We enjoyed every morning a weather forecast for the ... day with appropriate tips (which hike, where the sun shines, and so on). This service was very important for us, because the weather not very stable was. The restaurant had a small menu with dishes typical of the country, the all delicious were. We have in this hotel hotel georgioupolis and really warmly recommend. Very friendly staff, due to the size (only 12 rooms) never crowded and very nice location in approximately 500 meters high with a great view of the see. Easy access by car to all parts of the country.

About the website of the hotel we come to the atrio.
The complex is very nice quiet above the town with a view of the (away ) sea.
Offers very good as a starting point for walks in the western Madeira to, for goals in the east is the starting time despite highway quite long.
It is a very nice, in the style typical of the region constructed ensemble. A feature atrium and a pool belong to that. We have carefree days and felt very welcome.

A small quaint hotel with a lovely garden in a dreamlike location. We felt very good, in this small, professional geführetem hotel. The hotel management and the staff went to our every need. As a vegetarian we found a rich offer full dishes and food. Everything is very clean and the leadership of the hotel focuses on sustainable farming. As a starting point for hiking (levada directly behind the hotel) and above all whale watching the hotel is perfectly suited. Cooperation with lobosonda in Calheta completes the specific character of the hotel from. We were 2 times on whale watching ... tour and were almost thrilled. Over 50 porpoise, fleckendelfine, streifendelfine, turtles and much more we could see wildlife. Overall a very relaxing holiday. We will for certain to this hotel again return. read more

It was our second visit in the hotel Atrio-a small and well equipped hotel - in a beautiful location.
In the reason has to last year nothing has changed; it was everything in the best order.
The front desk was always helpful and competent.
The staff were very friendly and always helpful - no wishes remained open!
The small restaurant is very good - the kitchen was very flexible.

We are a one-week hiking vacation to the hotel 'Atrio' come. It is a small, quiet country hotel with a einertasteful, comfortable facilities and a large laid out, very well maintained garden. The owners and the staff were always very friendly and helpful and gave good advice about the hiking and excursions in the area. These are enough available, a hired car is however required. The 'atrio' is an oasis for relaxing and be comfortable. We will, if possible, gladly again! read more

This hotel reflects the love and care of its founders and owners and a great group of multilingual employees. The feeling of a home from home comes to mind from the first moment. The whole property is a delight of tranquility and beauty (still being expanded). In the evening the candle-lit grapefruit orchard central court is just one feature that leaves a lasting impression. Guests can help themselves to drinks ( a great selection of whiskeys, sherries, ports and cognacs) around the alcove next to the dining area. Hopefully the area will find a chimney sweep soon so that the ... wood fire can be used during the cooler season. Free internet connection in a small area near the reception is also available. The other guests were mostly mature couples like ourselves with interesting international background and experience with whom it was easy to get into conversation. The rooms and property are kept immaculately clean. We even had a game of boules. I am happy to give Hotel Atrio top marks in all categories and recommend it further with enthusiasm. I hope this great recommendation doesn't mean that it will be booked up next time I want to take a holiday at short notice. read more

A great Oasis of rest and relaxation. The weather is warm and sunny, even when it is snowing on Mallorca. The service was exzeptionell. The right place, at the weather in central Europe to escape, without being in the Caribbean or on the southern hemisphere have to fly. read more

Already on arrival i found a very pleasant feeling from peace and satisfaction.
