Upscale hotel with nice and large grounds. Together with the total area other hotels there are several well-kept outdoor and indoor swimming pools, fitness room and so on. The way to the center (about 25 minutes), on the road along, is however quite varied. read more

Our junior suite on the 5. floor/mitte had a nice view of the ocean and thanks to a covered balcony you could also with rains sit. Schlafzimmergröße good, living room small, but sufficient. 1 tv in the bedroom and 1 tv in the living room, small kitchen with little decor and only 2 el. Hotplates, but sufficient, if you only breakfast makes. Table for 4 people big enough. Could be improved would be the free internet computer next to the reception and hotel entrance, what location (it is) and speed (very slow) concerns. In the house there is only one ... computer, which leads to wait. Free hotel-owned car park next to the hotel. But it goes from the /to the hotel always only either uphill or from, what good mobility needs. We stayed for our needs very satisfied: highly recommended! read more

In advance with the hotel Porto Mare beautiful garden area, great pool landscape. Frequent shuttleverbindungen into town 2,5 kilometer. recreation and restaurants in both hotels usable. read more

The Eden Mar is a really very recommendable hotel. The complex offers all the comfort of a 4 star hotel and is excellent distance (coach and car). Thanks to the nearby supermarket, you could also good, only the overnight stay with breakfast book. There is in the room a small kitchenette, the fully-equipped. read more

If you with this apart-hotel is not satisfied, the probably never the right. Huge garden with lots of plants and trees, which were each having exact, in addition a small but nice orchid gardens. To the really beautiful terraces was good with a nice view of the sea bearable. With two indoor pools, this name, which size and equipment is concerned, really deserve. We had booked without catering, but 3 times to food from the buffet gone. Every night another motto the choice. We are italian, mediterranean and fish eat out. Really good, if you disregarded, that the selection of ... meat and fish a bit limited. Only quality offered. Great salad and starters buffet, dessert buffet good average. Our studio was quite large. Kitchenette with microwave and ceramic stove equipped. Safe with 10 Euro per week good value for money. Average age in the first week rather 75 to 80 +. Strange, if lots of older people in white bathrobes (each per room) through the gartenpark walk, hence the title of my report. In the 2. week but it was also some younger people and with children. Madeira with the wonderful landscapes, waterfalls and coasts, but also Funchal were absolutely worth seeing. If we come again we are trying, in the same hotel to stay. read more

    I was once in the yoga. The was okay. If you've already experience. Otherwise nothing was corrected, but just solid. The fitness center looks tidy and was really good visited. Pool is very nice designed, however for swimming in february too cold. Sauna costs unfortunately specially. For 15 Euro per week you can every day go. I did. However, you should not too much expect, the sauna is quite small and you can only with your shorts purely (for the english). But there is a very nice relaxation room with super comfortable couches. I have also had a massage on the was also good.

    A beach, we have not seen, but Madeira no swimming island. Lots of restaurants are in the immediate proximity. Half board we would not book, since there are enough variation in in the area and the dinner in the hotel quite expensive. Breakfast was super, as already mentioned by other reviewers is the choice in the Porto Mare far greater.

We felt always very comfortable. The kitchenette is somewhat spartanic equipped, but on vacation you have no 5-course menu making facilities. The breakfast buffet was good with some downsides (selection and taste of coffee). It was missing in our apartment the coffee machine. We bring us a plastikfilter, filters, and a coffee from home with. read more

    The hotel has 4 restaurants, which we 2 use: the self-service restaurant atlantida and the portuguese restaurant alfama. In both restaurants is the quality the food was very good, the atlantida is bigger and fuller. We preferred the alfama, the small, intimate, and with service at the table. The menu selection is included in the half-board rate, you can à la carte food, there are 17 €be applied.

    No beach. Centre of Funchal about 2,5 kilometers away, but with the shuttle bus of the hotel within easy reach. Also many buses, the in all directions. A lot of shopping possibilities, directly next to the hotel, there is the 1st shopping center. We have 2 excursions, once the east and the west the island, since Madeira is so small, we have the whole island seen, very recommendable.

The vacation in Funchal in the Hotel Eden Mar was beautiful! Everything was to our complete satisfaction! A dream holiday in dream hotel! The apartment was spacious and had 2 lcd tv, big balcony, comfortable large bed, installation wardrobe, small kitchenette, and nice bathroom with two sinks. The hotel belongs to a group (Porto Bay) in the 3 hotel are Porto Mare, Eden Mar and the residence. The hotel complex has a beautiful pool landscape and a great park with lots of exotic plants (are all labeled). read more

The Eden Mar is part of the complex Villa Porto Mare, which of the 3 hotels Porto Mare, residence and Eden Mar composed. All hotels are selected connected with one another. The Eden Mar offers on five floors studios, junior suites and suites. All the rooms are in meeresrichtung (sideways. Or direct sea view, partially hidden by the palm trees). The condition is good, the hotel was already twice renovated and constantly maintained. Free wi-fi is in the lobby available. For rental car parking and a parking garage (free of charge). Guest structure beginning december couples 60 and mostly from ... England and Germany. read more

    We had a junior -suite 2 floor with a view of the sea. Size was alright. Kitchenette with fridge and a microwave. Living room with a dining table and 2 chairs, as well as flat screen tv (ARD, ZDF, RTL). Bedroom with a comfortable double bed (real blankets), built-in closet with a safe (10 Euro per week) and flat screen tv. Bathroom with tub, double sinks, toilet and bidet. Big balcony, well shielded to privacy that resulted from, with a table and 2 chairs. Living room and bedroom with carpet. All in all in good condition, built-ins and so on one sees the age. Kitchenette and so on with the last renovation newly remodeled.

    In the hotel complex are the buffet restaurant atlantida, as well as the menu, à-la-carte-restaurant alfama, and the a la carte restaurants il basilico and med available. Furthermore several bars and an ice-cream parlor. Breakfast is served in the atlantida or alfama in buffet form restaurant. Both buffets are from the offer similar. In alfama the liveköche, so no omelets and waffles. Otherwise is the breakfast as it in a good star hotel expected. We only booked with breakfast. In the hotel but tickets for 3 or 5 food in the buffet restaurant atlantida book (1 time buffet 27 Euro per person, 3 food 73,50 Euro/person, 5 food 115 Euro per person) We were 3 times with the hotelbüfett and it was always good and freshly cooked. It gives excluding theme nights, the also really what are. The choice is not huge but qualitatively high-quality. However the subjects after a week! Service good, disturbing was however already at 20 o'clock initiated for breakfast they quote (that have to be?). Outside the hotel one feeds also very good (tourist traps avoid!) And for half the price of the price away. Recommendation: italian left below from the hotel entrance Eden Mar.

    In general very friendly, german is partly spoken, english always. Room was on arrival (after 15 o'clock) not ready. Free drinks in the bar and after 20 minutes was all good. Room cleaning was okay, it is even rinsed off. On one day we were with the cleaning not satisfied. After complaining was nachgereingt and on the next day came as an excuse a fruit basket.

    The Eden Mar is part of the complex Villa Porto Mare, which of the 3 hotels Porto Mare, residence and Eden Mar composed. All hotels are selected connected with one another. The Eden Mar offers on five floors studios, junior suites and suites. All the rooms are in meeresrichtung (sideways. Or direct sea view, partially hidden by the palm trees). The condition is good, the hotel was already twice renovated and constantly maintained. Free wi-fi is in the lobby available. For rental car parking and a parking garage (free of charge).     The hotel is located at the beginning of the lido promenade in the first row in leicher hillside location. To Funchal on foot it is about 30 minutes, along the coastal street (direction Funchal no promenade). In the immediate vicinity lots of hotels, restaurants, 2 supermarkets, car rentals and excursion companies. Right on the hotel (exit residence) is a small pebble beach. The modern Madeira shopping center is also easily reachable on foot. Behind the hotel taxi rank and bus stop. Free hotel shuttle bus to Funchal (seat reservation required).

Overall the hotel is very good. Small deductions for the front desk (lack of language skills in german) and the menürestaurant (although smaller than the buffet very loud and uncomfortable, staff was not nearly as friendly as the other). Rooms were very large and well equipped. All room with a view of the sea and garden view (very nicely laid out and large, which is a rarity on Madeira should be). Funchal is easily reachable by foot, you can but also take the bus, the right on the main street in front of the hotel continues. Around the hotel are ... several small shops and a shopping center. A supemarkt gives it directly under (!) The hotel. Particularly practical this is for guests, the have booked without catering. read more

After 12 years, the beautiful island of madeira again visited and it was only with the choice of the hotel a quality to 200%. All around everything was correct: wonderful large room in the 5. stick with view from the balcony on the sea and the herrlichge garden area, friendly and competent staff, very nice musical evening events and much more.
