The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. They are further very punctual, so if you mean to change the room at 10 in the morning, dont be suprised when they knock at your hotel room at 5 to ten to fetch your luggage :-))) The hotel rooms were kept clean and everything worked out well. We even had flowers every second day on our bed.. thank you again. We were always very delighted. The break fast is from Continental to English. Depends what you prefer. Dinner is very nice in Jadini. The Area is not that cozy and dimmed like in the Africana but for some reason the meat is much tender and delicious :) The staff all speak English a few as well German. Guests from the Jadini can enjoy the animation at the Africana too. The animators are very motivated and can speak different languages. I can recommend the Acrobatic Show and the Blind Band!!!! Don't miss that! I think anyway, that if you are friendly and polite to the staff they will treat you just the same. Think of that. It doesnt mean if you are no more in your home country you should loose your manners.
- Sport & Entertainment
Jadini itself doesnt have many opportunities, but for the young and/or active guests the Alliance Hotel Africana offers Watergymnastics, Volleybal, Football (Soccer), and many more. Go ahead and enjoy or lala salama at the beach :) The pools are clean and one more thing: Beware of the very cheeky monkeys!!!! They are surprisingly clever, they even know how to open the zips of your rucksack.. so dont leave food or sweet drinks standing around while your having a refreshing swim.
- Hotel
The Hotel Jadini Beach belongs to the Alliance Hotels. It is directly next to the Africana Hotel. It is directly situated at the Diani Beach. The entrance is simple but friendly. There are a few small shops in the hall. The hotel has like two areas, the green, shaded spot where especially elder people love to sun bath and the pool which is most very quiet. Perfect for younger people that do want to get stressed by laughing or shouting children. The Jadini Beach Hotel offers Breakfast and Dinner. It is although possible to order a snack at the pool (sandwich, fruit, chips etc). Most of the hotel guests are between 50+70 and it seemed to be that they all were swiss. Rooms have air-condition, bath and fridge, a balcony big enough to relax and enjoy the sunset.
- Location
Jadini Beach Hotel is close to the Diani Shopping Center, Bazaar and Barclays Shopping by Matatu (bus) costs you ca. 25 Shillingi. It's worth to look at all the shopping possibilities. The Barclays Shopping Center includes the Barclays Bank. Good for changing money, traveller checks etc. There are plenty of other hotels up and down the Diani Beach. The Africana Hotel has a Disco called the Banda. Another Disco is the Shakatak where especially tourists from the hotels like to spend their nights. Not far from the hotel you find the location Kim4love, a famous musician from Kenya. Saturday and Sundays different activities are presented Live Music, different performances, Womens Boxing etc. most from 2-8 in the afternoon. Entrance fee for tourists: Kenyan Shillingi 150.
Further more I would take a walk thru Ukunda. Jump into a Matatu pay 30 Shillingi and get surprised. Please risk to look at the shops behind the market and walk past the plenty of shops. Its beautiful and very interesting if your open-minded and you like Africa. Not to forget to pop into Kenyan Adventures when you are at the Bazaar. Professor Marco and his charming assistant Ulys would love to help you organising different excursions in and around Kenya and Tanzania. We visited Wasini & enjoyed a beautiful day watching the dolphins, snorkling (dont forget suncream on your back, otherwise you will look like a lobster!!) etc. Jadini Beach Hotel is around 45 minutes from Mombasa.
