We were really very excited by this hotel. Starting at location, the staff and the food. 5 restaurants alone in this hotel, there are other Riu hotels right nearby, which we share could. The beach is practically on the doorstep and the water really turquoise. You can work much to do (diving, jet skiing) and plenty of excursions (Maya ruins and parks with animals) make. Only fly in the ointment - there were very many americans there and some of them are very noisy by the pool. read more

It is a new super modern chic designer hotel of the group Riu. The hotel has 434 suites the all very nice are, the hotel is completely newly renovated so best and has a successful facelift get. Our taste it was, we were pleased with this hotel. There is all inclusive and it really is very successful the cooks in the various restaurants make grandiose work, which is not quite common in most all inclusive hotels. The palace Mexico offers 6 different theme restaurants: Room service 24 hours Restaurant ' don Julian' with a terrace Italian restaurant 'la Dolce Vita' ... Fusion restaurant 'krystal' Mexican restaurant 'la Bodega' Japanese restaurant 'miyagi' Beach restaurant 'guacamole' /grill/steakhouse What we also warmly recommend can, enjoyment and explosions, the mouth instead of. ' Renova spa' and sauna is really very professional and a pure enjoyment for the soul, 2 jacuzzis and the fitness room is free of charge and we used them every day really great and everything as new ☺ Lobby bar ' bar cubano ' was very nice and delicious drinks. ' Cappuccino' patisserie and corner was also very good! Salon bar ' los mariachis ' with a terrace Lounge 24 (24 hours open, all-inclusive service) Pool/swim up bar ' el palmeral 'was very chic Everywhere there were wi-fi free internet which are nowadays standard is. The average age was from 30 years which is a very pleasant atmosphere has created.     We had a suite the really good equipped was in the inside with view to the pool was. Furniture was new and not even worn, mini bar was daily again filled and the size both, as well as the cleanliness was given. Safe was large enough to my Apple to store. The design must have a favor, loft types designed without additional rooms and walls. We really enjoyed it.

    As already described there were 6 special (theme restaurants) The really highly recommended. Quality in this hotel very big written. The atmosphere is really great and in very nice locations accommodated. Tips were gladly seen but it must not be the case.

    The service in the entire we felt hotel as top, wishes are from the lips and were always very accommodating and really friendly and which is very important to me the always a smile on the face was available. Language skills were available, even german was discussed.

    We are very keen on sport and have everything in use, water sports (canoe, jetski, parasailing) was really very nice and led too much fun, both in combination for 140 Euro which i have not as expensive found with a bit of negotiation good prices. For entertainment, entertainment was good but we didn't really use stayed in the 5. avenue on the way. Beach chairs were also all renovated and the at the beach were still all functional. Showers at the beach beginning was also available to get the sand get rid.

    The location was unique, are approximately one hour. From the airport to the hotel went. The roads are great, only the lighting leaves much to be desired. The beach section was definitely the ' schönste'sehr wide and very many palms as the Karibik just imagine. The ' famous 5. avenue is really great and can easily on foot in 30 minutes, we preferred however the taxi for 70 pesos, down stairs, driving time by 5 minutes The avenue is really really great and invites to nightly and daily a stroll, there is even a go out mile where some clubs are located, great is the coco bongo ☺ Playa del Carmen is really very nice and really recommendable one had lots of fun there, unbelievable!

This hotel we could just absolutely recommend. Directly on arrival you with a welcome cocktail, the great comfortable large rooms are wonderful and what is the most important, very clean. The area is large and beautiful. The ' view ' on the beach is wonderful, like on the postcard. You have lots of possibilities what something to do, snorkeling, jet ski drive, long walks in other hotels in the big area. Every day there was a barbecue at the beach. The staff is willing to help, warm and very pleasant many in the heart closed. The food is varied and ... there is something for every taste. Every wish is fulfilled and the service is really great. There is only one thing we noticed and we personally didn't like. There are many americans this hotel visit and not know how to behave. This really was the only negative. The reviews helped us to book this hotel. Therefor the hotel deserved with good reason the very positive reviews. Who little a great vacation spend is in the right place here. read more

In the Hotel Riu Palace Mexico it is a 5 star all-inclusive resort. The hotel is in last year recently renovated, so was everything new and very neat. The color purple dominated very, this was for some tourists a little too much the good, but we liked it very well. The junior suite at the outside, we had moved into, was very spacious and every day cleaned. Every day fresh bedding, towels etc. The mini bar was also every day filled. - only downside to the open zimmerbauweise was the light nässegeruch the in the room after showering there was. ... Air conditioning briefly raised, fan and this problem was fixed. Wlan you get in the entire hotel free of charge, one must only the code in the front desk get and go there. Average age was during our visit at 40 and i would say. You can also the other Riu properties share. Finally, a really great modern hotel with very nice staff, the also a few german. read more

    There was a main restaurant in the büfettformat and five speciality restaurants (mexican, italian, asian, steakhouse and fusionsrestaurant ). We could not have a 5 star hotel a little more variety. The food was very on the american preferences coordinated. Pizza, pasta, chips, etc. From the mexican kitchen very little over. Another problem was, that the food always much too long and very often cold food found. The quality of meat and grillkünste the chefs left a lot to be desired. You got as steak very often, the so-called hockey puck. The hygiene in the dining rooms and open kitchens was exemplary. Against the service at the table you can also absolutely nothing negative to say. The waiters in general were happy to have a small tip (20 Peso), is however not mandatory. There is also some guests (americans) with the tip exaggerate, the you almost bad feel, is however rather the exception. One has booked all inclusive and will not any service pay.

    To this category can i say, the spread out over the day lots of activities by the entertainers like for example beach volleyball offered. In the evening always a show, with dancing and music. At the piano we also each in the evening played. The man is a professional, amazing. The condition from the beach and the pool is to say, the just very clean and well maintained. Shade at the beach are palms, there were no umbrellas. Waiters the entire day at the beach and pool and provide you with all types of drinks

The hotel complex is after the renovation optically good in detail but for a 5 star hotel in this price range on the production quality saved. The staff are very friendly and helpful but in some areas to poorly trained. In the 5 restaurants you can sometimes good food-as the quality is unfortunately not always the same - like us also other guests reported. On the whole a good hotel area with a nice and clean beach with a lot of water sports. read more

The hotel we can throughout further-recommend. Location, service (fresh ingredients), room (new) and service are great. We stayed at christmas there, there were unfortunately very many (loud) americans there; in particular at the pool bar. The was rather negative. Also the rooms are very noisy (has already been mentioned). With complaints was helped; but sometimes took a while. As compensation there were small presents/attentions of the hotel management - very positive. The tour guide from TUI on site was also very good and all wishes taken care of immediately. We booked excursions with the taxi made (baby in maxi cosi). ... Has problem-free folded. read more

I can only follow, the Riu Palace Mexico i can 100% recommendable, even the 'demanding' travellers should not disappointed are. The Riu Palace Mexico was completely renovated - the style is modern and has nothing more with 'mexican style' together. The freshly renovated Riu Palace in grey/white/purple tones shall enter into force in a completely new style. If you stay here the original palace searches, is wrong. The palace feeling is not more. But new you'll find yourself in a modern 'fashion style' again. The hotel management is quick on wishes and points of improvement a. Right after the opening was the beach -restaurant crowded, but skillful found the hotel management the solution with the barbecue by the pool and the opening of the mexican restaurants. The food at the beach -restaurant is wonderful. What has been rather always a ... ' snack '-restaurant was, spoiled the guests with wonderful food. Included sushi corner, with freshly prepared food. The specialty restaurant entered also in a new light on. Very successful, the new style. The dishes were shuffled, i missed some of the previous kitchen, but it is matter of taste. So for example i was chrystal'too much' on symphony of tastes. The dishes were lovingly prepared and everyone could find something to his taste. The rooms are with the new open bathroom let not much more privacy, but as a couple this did not disturb and enlarges the room. With a espresso you can of the pool bar the magnificent view on the beach and the sea enjoy. A really successful renovation. A walk on the beach is a must. You can not only lots of animals discover, but also something peace in the non-built-up zones find. Who in Mexico is, must definitely not only the fantastic sites to see, but also a view of the breathtaking underwater world car. A lovely vacation. We will be back! read more

The Riu Palace Mexico was in the summer/fall 2012 completely renovated. The hotel looks larger than it is; a very pleasant and straightforward size with guests from all over the world (primarily german, americans, canadians and scandinavians represented). Especially were during our stay 'best ager' (from 60 upward), couples and young families with children since (for this i would however rather other hotels recommend). Wifi is in the hotel inclusive, but there is also a internetcafé (lounge 24) with four computers, you for a fee use (8 minutes = $1). Food, drinks (also cocktails and all other alcoholic beverages) and ... mini-bar are around the hour all-inclusive! Except in the evening you can the restaurants all other Riu hotels in the area use, what we, at the choice of meals in the Riu Palace Mexico, but never did. read more

    The rooms were 2012 completely newly renovated! We were the first guests in our room; on arrival smelled everything after fresh color. The bathroom i like as a woman especially good: black/pink, looks great chic and modern! Unfortunately the area is, where the toilet is, extremely small and people, the larger or something heavy are, are problems, the toilet to use and the door locked. Air conditioning, telephone, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, balcony and mini bar are available. As well as a small sofa with a table, and a weiterr small table with two chairs (seating area) in the lower area of the junior suites. The mini bar is super: filled and there is even a alcohol dispenser with four large bottles (rum, Bacardi, Smirnoff Wodka), the as soon as they were empty, new be replaced-so what i have in any hotel! There is a tv (flat screen), however welcomes you as a german channel only the 'Deutsche Welle'.

    There is several restaurants in the Riu Palace Mexico: don julián, the buffet restaurant, which in the morning and in the evening was open and with a massive variety of dishes show off can. Especially the desserts are super delicious! At noon you could either by the pool food (here is a burger buffet set up) or in the beach restaurant, where a large variety at meals there-it is really for each palate the suitable thing thereby. The desserts were often stale and tasted old. You can also in the evening the restaurants, the in the morning need to reserve: steak house, mexican, italian, japanese, krystal ( fusionfood ). The latter restaurant is simple a must! We were there twice, just great! The steak house one should be avoided!

    The service in the particular restaurants is very friendly and accommodating, simply top! Unfortunately lacks partly very on foreign language skills. Often spoke only spanish; only a few staff spoke english (or german). Friendliness is in this hotel capitalized! The cleaning of the rooms was not good! Days we got no fresh towels or bubble bath/shower gel/conditioner, but all these things daily should be renewed. Also the floor was only roughly mopped. Furthermore, around the hour the when they slammed the maids in the hallways of the hotel -not a pretty sight! Instead of the the cleaning of the rooms morning was cleaned, it was over the whole day distributed. Our charwoman 'accidentally' a souvenir thrown into the garbage pail! I had it on the coffee table and she thought, there was trash and threw it away. Thereupon i complained at the front desk (with the boss the front desk, a blond lady from Hungary) and i have to say, i have never had such a bad management of complaints experienced! They replied to me, that this often happened get testy and the cleaning ladies only 'ordinary people' are. There were even sometimes shoes thrown away, a guest after jogging at the beach to dry on the bin provided.

If you didn't want, you will left alone and not further troubled or encouraged, to join in. There is a disco in the Riu Palace Mexico not, but you can the disco the neighboring hotels club hotel RIU Tequila use. The beach is wonderful: you can either stay at the ' palmenwäldchen ' directly in front of the hotel beach chairs (here there is shade) or somewhat further in front at the beach in the stout sun-everyone so, as he liked. There are plenty of loungers available. However it is slightly with the chairs (what usually at the weekend is the case, if many americans arrive), you can get beach chairs of the neighboring hotels RIU Playacar or RIU Tequila cultivate. The excitement was large, the disappointment huge! Due to the good reviews at holidaycheck we decided for the Riu Palace Mexico. The price was quite high but for 21 days in a 5 star Riu hotel just after 4 months of renovation at the 1 december. Newly opened, we wanted to on personal grounds treat yourself. Afterwards a big mistake, the in this hotel was of 5 stars not the track! The only positive thing was the quality of the dishes, there was absolutely everything okay. With the drinks this was different, depending on where the consumed was a huge ... difference, often were rather than imported spirits national serves, they were inedible. The hotel is fixed in russian hand, the 'rouble' roles and the waiters with huge tips to buy! It was particularly bad lunch in the beach restaurant the always completely crowded but for this clientele always tables kept was. But now to the main issue, in our room the climate control didn't work, after complaint the hausceeper skillfully, conclusion he has no repair them. Next day the same game and again without success. The room was extremely damp, since the bathroom open is integrated! On the 4 day without ac we requested the super visor angle. The young man agreed with us at 12 o'clock at the front desk - if you didn't came (waited half an hour) was the super-visor angle! Already really annoyed we requested an immediate room change! The statement unfortunately we are booked we left no longer apply. After a very strong performance, the works. But now about the area itself, the beautiful pool area was converted completely, a huge large pool were 4 mini pools! 1 mini pool with integrated poolbar (corresponding water quality) 1 mini pool for children 1 mini pool for water sports (accordingly loud) 1 mini pool for swimming (depth 140 centimeter! ) Impossible! We were very disappointed of the hotel, of everything bald. The crowded restaurants were okay, the russian guests in the majority-(. The photos of the previous evaluation see very nice from, but since we at the same time were on site, i would be interested to know when the pictures were made? The hotel was at the time completely full, accordingly lots of people everywhere! The pictures have not a soul ☺ this was maybe the opening?-) The problem the still smaller and larger construction work done bothered us not, since we at the time at the beach were, the people stayed in the pool area as more affected. A huge gripe was that the toilets in the restaurants and also partly in the rooms did not work. The problem there was the whole 3 weeks. Always anywhere excavated and the pipes cleaned! Everything totally clogged! Therefore, the smell in the toilets beside the restaurants! Impossible! The hotel generous built in a u-form, has only 2 elevators! The are in the lobby! For the left, one for the right wing! Who not always very long walk to purchase wanted had the stairs use. The hotel is not at all convincing, -, although newly renovated - also with a pram very hard, because everywhere stairs are- to the beach! Mini bar in the room ok but if one ice wanted you had to long distances -2 ice machine for all and the in the lobby the basement! Five star? The hotel area is large but well arranged. Outside of the hotel you can without any problems stop. To Playa del Carmen ( money exchange, shop) one drives for 70 Peso with the taxi. Just a few strides from the hotel there were some stores for the Urlauberbedarf and there is also the possibility excursions to book. Our tips: the trip ' swimming with whale sharks' is a one-time experience. Snorkeling on Consumel you can save, but snorkeling with turtles is an experience worth it and on the bought Cd are great pictures to see. This hotel is the best ... on the whole Periphery. The beach area with the palm trees very nice and chairs were always free. We had beautiful weather, but it rained also times. At 30 degrees the air humidity was very high. Tip: at the beach to the right about 2 kilometer go, to it no longer continues - wonderful! In the 2 beach restaurants one can lunch, at the pool- and beach bar you get delicious cocktail (also without alcohol) and evenings in the various restaurants with delicacies. Even if you later food, is the buffet and the tables very clean and it is again and again refilled. The dress code looks evenings for the food long pants for the men for. A high praise to the staff in the whole hotel! Even without tip they are very hard to fulfill every wish. We had the premium package, this includes the private transfer to the hotel, a romantic great food at the beach, room ( to availability) to departure and return transfer. Is worthwhile oneself, already because of the food at the beach. Big praise to our ' Strandbuttler ' Christopher - he gave us very well maintained. The rooms are huge. We had one on the outside and it was nice and quiet. Our Maid Sarina was very clean, in our experience the room nicely decorated, valuables and jewelry were dagelegen and it is nothing happened. Great - keep it up. The evening entertainment in the hotel was very professional and diverse. The entertainers unobtrusive. The guests of this hotel come from lots of different Nations and the level is a five star hotel. Who wants to make party, is just over the street to the neighboring hotel Tequila. In short: a very nice and safe spot with a wonderful sandy beach. So one imagines Karibik before. read more

We were for the first time in the Riu Palace Mexico and we didn't regret it is in our opinion the best of in Playa del Carmen nearby Riu hotels. The staff are excellent the choice is. Excellent. For shopping you can easily to Playa with the taxi drive for 70 Peso. There, there are everything what the tourist from Mexico bring along. The in the hotel offered excursions are quite expensive but it is worthwhile. Especially recommendable is Chitchen Itza ( with Joop) and Tulum/ Akumal ( snorkeling with turtles ). Altogether it was a great trip the we ... only recommend. read more

Service & quality in a perfect combination. Actually i think always something in a hotel what bothers me or negatively noticeable. Here everything else (except for a small something). The hotel & the facilities are always perfectly maintained, everywhere people working the tidying up, cleaning, casting flowers and so on. The list is endless continue. The staff is unbelievably friendly, no matter where or on which activities you it is. Directly right from the first day i felt fantastic place. No matter wether on arrival, at the bar, room service or similar a friendly smile makes things easier. Every need ... is met. Then the possibility all other Riu hotels in direct proximity to visit is also a lot of variation announced. The offered tours provide all something special. No day boring. Important to know is that these tours not very cheap are. We had the suite with private jacuzzi on the roof. In addition i must however say that this option is absolutely not needed, the normal suite completely enough. We booked the jacuzzi once used, but also only it to use, this beach and pool you need no jacuzzi. It is also a bit sad on the upper zimmerplattform, no waiter and so on. Saves you the extra and prolong rather, this will be the thing not use. Me only and alone the klosettdeckel bother us. German speaking staff very rude, pretentious and arrogant. A very bad and impersonal 'groups front desk' after prior to, worse handling of complaints. Shabby, very clairaudient room. At night much noise in the hallway. Food not always fresh (after fish diarrhea get ). In the restaurant, especially for breakfast, dirty cutlery and dishes, as well as table Linen. Waiter through a lot of tip for sale. Maid service was very unfriendly. Dirty pillows from previous guest. Dirt under the beds. Bad hotel management. read more
