Hotel Club Magic Life Penelope Beach Imperial^{(4 stars)}

The rooms were end 2012 newly renovated. These were always clean. From flat screen tv, minibar, phone, to a safe and of course a hair dryer in the bathroom-and the balcony not to forget - everything necessary. The rooms have about 20 square meters and thus big enough. For a better hygiene everything is equipped with tiles and in the bathroom there was a shower. Everything smelled clean and was also very clean. But it seems that not all the guests very tidy and considerate with much and so had the tiles already a few macken and the curtains a few signs of usage (in door jammed defendendo). Voluntarily is, of course, also a tip, but a lot of fun, you can get the cleaners do with it.

In this club finds definitely everyone found something for his taste. Next to the main restaurant with a very wide selection of food and drinks (in the morning, lunch, dinner) there were three other à la carte themed restaurants: mediterranean, thai, and a tunisian restaurant with dishes typical of the country. All three we have tried and had nothing to complain about, on the contrary. It was every time tasted very good and also here was the service very friendly. In the three restaurants you could every time between different starters, main dishes, and desserts. We have every time 5 Dinar (circa 2,50 Euro) as tip on the table left. These guests is, of course, to everyone, since of course these three restaurants in the total included are. In addition to the four restaurants there are four other bars. The beach bar offers drinks of any type also freshly prepared sandwiches and hot dogs. Directly by of the lobby swerving are the jazz and the 24-hour open wonder bar. The cocktails there were/are delicious. In the jazz bar there are in the evening amongst others live music and entertainment. You want to in the sun stay, there is the possibility, drinks at the pool bar of their own. From 2:30 p. m. there is also a cake and snack buffet. And whose stomach a few hours after the dinner back empty should be, the can again on the midnight snack there. Conclusion: you can almost around the hour eating and drinking and-next to many european dishes-often with nice atmosphere with delicious tunisian food in contact.

Especially we noticed the continuous friendliness of the staff/-inside in all service areas. We were warmly welcomed and could immediately a lovely well appointed and of course very clean room. The room was of course cleaned every day and from towels and petals somewhat nice 'gezaubert.' The cleaners were always in a good mood and many of them spoke surprisingly few words german.

Everything your heart desires: of shuffleboard, darts, board games, on archery, water sports, aerobics and pilates -, as well as water aerobics-courses, to a well-equipped gym and of course much tennisprogramm (and much more) you can broaden one's horizon and play. The pool (except for the indoor pool) was unheated and therefore at this time of the year unfortunately still very fresh. However it was clean. Chairs and sunscreens are in a very good condition and bath hand towels from the hotel provided. The entertainment team was incomprehensibly friendly, open-minded, and motivated and some could the entertainers up to seven different languages. At least two languages could each individual perfect speak. Three times the week there were from 21 o'clock a vibrant (dance)-show. From 11:30 p. m. the dj in the club's internal disco for all feierwütigen until 2 o'clock in the morning and the entertainment team was always in a good mood for everyone. Conclusion: boredom comes neither for small, even for large on, as it almost around the clock entertainment.

The club offers space for approximately 900 guests. Overall, this is in good condition. As in the Magic Life generally usual, there was only all inclusive. Free wi-fi in the lobby, wonder bar, as well as somewhat weaker on the terrace. Who does not have own laptop/no smartphone it is, there are a few computer available. Wireless internet in the room there were for an extra charge of 7 Euro per day (40 Euro the week). Many couples and families in this club there. At this time of the year were very many germans and french there. From young couples, on families with children/young people and older persons was all ages represented.

The Magic Life Club is situated in the middle of the tourism zone. The transfer time from the airport to the hotel took about 30 minutes. The beach is in the immediate proximity and belongs to the hotel. Distance was this within a few minutes walk through the complex. The next town, midoun, is about 3 kilometers away. If you decide against it, on foot walk to, so you can for 3, or 4 Dinar - converted circa 2 Euro - with the taxi go. Lots to experience however, there are not, you can still have a taste of the lifestyle the djerbi get. Just round the corner is a large casino, what also the best restaurant the island is. The capital houmet souk is about 15 minutes away by taxi. Worth seeing is the always thursday lunch market-unafraid crowd.

The rooms are neat and will be cleaned daily. There is depending on the transaction type a balcony or a terrace. In the rooms there was a tv with various tv channels as for example ZDF, ARD, RTL, ProSieben and sky football. The bathroom is such a country big and i think more than adequate. It is also a hair dryer available

The food was very good! There is wide choice and possibly vegetariere in mind! There is wide choice and it is always freshly prepared. It is also very much to hygiene and cleanliness and also the food constantly someone came and checked the temperature that it not so cold. There are also 3 à-la-carte restaurants (thai, mediterranean and tunisian). Which also very delicious are, the best is in my opinion but the mediterranean ☺

The service is top! The complete staff is friendly, reacted immediately to requests or ' complaints' without a murmur. In the hotel almost everyone spoke german even if french the main language. The entertainers are top. Even now in 'winter' they are motivated and also times for a fun! With questions and problems you should approach the guest service in the hotel applying and always with much advice!

When Magic Life there are many sport activities. Almost everything in the price inclusive. Also a variety of water sports such as jet skiing is.

The hotel and it's facilities are in top well maintained condition. The complex is large and is daily cleaned multiple times and you rarely staff for everyone, as they the guests not with the holiday disturb want. The staff is very friendly and greet you always.

The hotel is located on a very nice beach. In the vicinity the hotel is unfortunately nothing. A stroll in in the area is worthwhile not. But it is only for example 6 kilometer after midoun, a major city for shopping and costs only 3 Dinar (about 1,50 Euro).

Appropriate size, nice furniture, here there are no faults

The food we had expected more, the quality the food was simply a catastrophe. Very dry bread for breakfast, the tough white bread left no frühstücksgenuss arise. Selection of the breakfast offer was plentiful, but the quality was very poor. Lunch and dinner were qualitatively very limited, located in different variations offered beef reminded of meat in disguise its best times behind itself had. Most supplements were relatively tasteless, the salt at the table was in continuous service a taste to receive. Noodles were always überkocht, the daily on the buffet standing lasagna was as well as other nudelgratins absolutely tasteless, vegetables were often nearly raw. The dessert buffet was very varied, constantly repeating vanilla chocolate and erdbeercremes differed in your colour but not in taste. It would be the hotel in dire need of would be advisable in the show-cooking area right chefs to work, which the preparation of meals learned and not clumsy auxiliary staff, the the guests, must be one vegetable or meat grilled. The beverages was all-inclusive typical, cocktails not very high quality but depending on bartender enjoyable.

Staff is friendly and helpful, the english and german of the staff are subject to qualifications good to not available. Room cleaning was clean, but it was a bit pushy if you into the room wanted. Waiters and bar staff was very courteous, a small tip improved the service naochmals. The entertainment at the kids' club was very dedicated, the children had a lot of fun

Short transfer to the airport, with the favorable taxis takes you to the nearby town of midoun or in the capital houmt souk. All furnishings in the hotel are on foot easy to reach, from the main house to the beach around 3 minutes away on foot by the complex.

The rooms are fine, but a bit noisy. I had a double room for single use. The mattresses are unfortunately somewhat hard (on demand the room service i was told, that it be good mattresses is, however no latches are in use). I got a 2. bettauflage under the sheets, which the comfort level a little improvement. Wireless internet in the room cost in the front desk free of charge.

In the hotel there are 3 restaurants to eat, whereas in february only intermittently and according to demand (advance notification) one of the other two restaurants was open. The atmosphere in the main restaurant i personally found more sober. I know other Magic Life Clubs (for example Greece, Kreta), as you get at the sight of the buffets been hunger craves. Also the variety of dishes, fruit, even bigger. May be, that but also at the start of the season and the offer therefor somewhat limited is. Especially delicious is the freshly squeezed orangensagt in the morning. There are simple filter coffee from the machine (is a bit much). Is better the coffee at the bar in the hotel. There are 'Latte Macchiato', Cappuccino and so on. But really good. You can also easily get into the restaurant.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Due to my back problems (hard mattress) i got immediately a 2. bettauflage. The cleaning of the rooms was cleaned every day, but at very different times - times in the morning, once in the late afternoon.

Middle of february the temperature around the 19-22 degrees. The sea was too cold for me and the really very nice pools were unfortunately not heated. Swimming was but in the indoor swimming pool was possible. The relax pool with chairs is located directly next to the indoor pool, but there was a large exhaust fan the peace and quiet. The swimming pool with slides is wonderful and very big, but to my time not in use. For families with children i think the complex great.

The extensive hotel area itself is a bit in the 'old'. In the hotel there were guests of different ages, including many germans, around the time of the year (february) little children. Wi-fi in the front desk free of charge, in the room for a fee. There are three computer in a separate room for free available.

The shuttle from the airport to the hotel takes about 30 minutes. A taxi to the market after houmet souk costs around 5 to 6 Dinar (3 Euro), taxis are the hotel. Otherwise smaller shops in the direct vicinity of the hotel. Here you can also an attractive hairdresser and a massage parlour can be found. The hairdresser in the hotel, made me no professional impression, a tint costs on demand 55,00 Dinar. The beach is very nice and clean, there are horses and camels in the vicinity, the horse riding are offered.

Acceptable size of room and bathroom, but you can on the abnuntzung not at all be overlooked. Still clean. Balcony doors close bad or not at all. The mini bar was only replenished on arrival (a shame in all-inclusive). One gets however on every bar water, Cola, Fanta in bottle to carry forward, if one asks for it. Tv-german programs ARD, ZDF, satellite, RTL, per 7, VOX

For breakfast you got freshly squeezed orange juice, carrot juice. Food was varied, there was at the buffet daily a small tunisian corner with dishes typical of the country. Otherwise was the buffet european. There were no waiters, the hand that much for a tip. Even without giving any tip always friendly and decent.

Customer service was perfect, all our wishes were fulfilled. Room cleaning was excellent. German almost always understood. Service and reception were okay. Entertainment could be better - guests to activities to entertain, what their job is, came with us so, as if they not any want.

Entertainment we know at Magic Life else, believe the were in so a kind winter sleep! Pool area was not really used because of the weather.

Room already somewhat worn out, but clean! During this time more long term (seniors)!

Transfer to the airport circa 30 minutes, but anyway no aircraft noise.

The rooms were very nice. We had a surcharge pflichtigen bungalow, this had 2 balconies and 2 bathrooms with a toilet. One with a shower and one with a bath. Unfortunately the mirror already about 1 centimeter completely rusted and the mountings so furred up you have the mischerhebel not in the location was water accurately adjust. Either came too few or it was the full cargo, so that one also at the wash basin was showered. The same goes for the mountings in the shower and bath.

You like the diversity mediterranean cuisine, love the selection of beautiful fresh fish and meat, schlenderst of grills and leaves you inspire... Then you do this club on 'no' case, because the everything you can find here. The food buffet is a bit of a cafeteria, there was always a issued musterteller and this dish you can at this station assemble. One focuses heavily on german cuisine, therefore, mainly side dishes like potatoes, peas, brussels sprouts, and so on. Offered. Who on vacation so german home cooking is' please '. The fresh roasted meat to the fried/grills was rule as frozen meat were fried right on the spot, that explains the tough consistency... The entire food was therefor unfortunately not to be recommended, but also the opinions as you know, very far apart from each other. For alcoholic drinks, there were only local products, the beer was good. The wine (red and white) was more inedible, which even from the service as been seen. The cocktails tasted not at all fresh and very synthetic. In a Magic Life Club in Egypt, Hurghada we have seen it also differently goes, there was the food top and 'everything' others!

Many the waiter understand unfortunately hardly german or english. This lead, that one for example a beer with 'Sprite' with hands and feet have to explain. The service is 90 percent of the staff from the typical tunisian mentality and would also for the small getränkedienst for dinner a decent tip, which unfortunately of many guests voluntarily with a small money ( tagesgehalt a tunesiers ) will be rewarded. There is but also in between outstanding good staff, friendly, accomodating with excellent language skills.

Sport, recreation and pool were alright. Chairs by the pool and towels were also good. Unfortunately, there was no heated pool, so that the cold month january (during the day 18 degrees) only the swimming pool remained.

The complex itself made a relatively good and clean impression. But you can tell, that the complex from Magic Life took over and already some years on the embossment. The its detriment cocktail consisting of resolved shower unfortunately leaves quickly imagine what a so still expected.
