Patong merlin hotel is a very nice quiet hotel in the middle of the noisy patong. We had no problems in the hotel. Very friendly staff. If you are looking for a pure beach holiday should rather a place other than patong choose. The neighbouring beaches are nice and clean as patong beach. Who but rather the action and still a beautiful hotel i would like is in the right place here. read more

The 4-story thai-style hotel has 448 rooms and is located in a beautiful tropical garden with large pool landscape. In the first moment i was from the hotel really amazed. We got a room in the middle the hotel with a pool view. From the noise of the adjacent streets was absolutely nothing to hear and i looking forward to a few quiet days on the edge from patong. But i had too early been pleased. The unpacking our bags, i was with a hell noise within the hotel tract confronted. Relentless fought! Doors to the castle (the doors you ... could not at all close quietly). All courses and rooms were tiled and very loud. Constantly chairs were moved, items fell to soil. You heard voices, tvs, showers, toilets flushing from the surrounding rooms. The owners this hotel apparently on every kind of insulation material declined. The air conditioning was blasting annoying and ran only, if you in the room was present, so that one did not create it, the room on a pleasant temperature cool down.
To our luck arrived at 3. day several inconsiderate noisy groups from China at. I have no night more than 1a 2 hours slept and this hotel therefore also not recommend. read more

It is a difficult to say, whether good or bad, that depends on, what sort of vacation spend to. To us as a couple 53/54 there should be a beautiful and erholsamenr beach holiday.
The jedochl was completely in the pants.
First the hotel: absolutely okay - clean and tidy, breakfast with a good choice and plenty of space both inside and out, waiters were always tried a clean table to allow so all the as complain about, should be in other countries.
Is negative to the hotel to say: every evening until 23:00 o'clock is live music at ... the bar. Quiet is a foreign word for the musician in paton. The motto is ever drönender and louder the better in the local on the road.
We were in the main building and it was very noisy at night. Negative are drunk young people mostly from Australia then at 4:00 hours on the balcony and by the pool your voice have to test. However after complaining on the next day at the front desk rectified immediately promised with full success.
Directly next to the hotel in 20 meters distance is the Hard Rock Café. Every night until midnight
Music which the speakers give. Good for people with children or 'mature' is not. Of a sleep before 23:00 o'clock is not to be thought.
Class also the pool area. There are 5 pools with enough chairs and laundry, everything free of charge. Great gardens and bars by the pool.
Room service and service ok.

The large disadvantage is the beach. This is crap and the sense of the word.
We are already warned been from other vacationers but ignored.
But the first badegang was also the last.
The water after kloake smelly and the reason was a layer of 5 centimeter mud. The water was murky and smelly after shit from the best sort of.
A beach of sewage from whoever led directly into the sea.
At the beach there were some pieces the shit were very similar. We immediately out!
At the beach are also all forms of distributors every day there are boats you, jet ski's drönen on the water, constantly are parachutes in the air and all chairs are other and have every day be paid. At the other end is the very busy road the last quiet pool to niece make. This was for us then the beach to avoid a decent failure of a day of the baden was due.
An absolutely better option the journey is to another beach, which we then also every day did. Is however not cheap because taxi there and back, and entrance at the beach have every day 25 Euro convoluted. This is but well worth it! The beach is private and in the entrance of 2,50 Euro on the day is the couch with edition included. The beach was cleaned every day of the finest quality and also the toilet's are absolutely okay and clean. A good restaurant and a massage salon are also there, much shade, as well as a shower also. But they must be driven but i think with scooter is it was cheaper. The left lane traffic and the uncontrolled traffic deterred. Petrol costs about 1 €a liter and the exchange rate is currently at 38,40 Bhat/Euro. From the hotel within minutes estimated 100 restaurants/ bars/massage salons/shopping and so on but everything was very noisy.

Beautiful hotel in the thai style, tastefully tropical angelegtee pool area/garden, about 450 rooms, only by a street from the beach patong separated. Booking with breakfast (very good choice). International guests, mainly scandinavian, australian, german, hardly russian. Language in the hotel english. Good average age with 50 we were from 14,12-29,12. In the first week was the hotel not even half full, the was perfect. First shortly before christmas was the hotel then booked, with the gsäten the 2 weeks for christmas and new year's eve stay. Also as it was full, there was enough sunbeds. In the ... hotel really peaceful and relaxing, hardly run out right mittenn in the middle of everything. read more

Patong merlin is located in the district of patong, patong beach only by a street separately. The main entrance is located next to the hard rock coffee phuket.
The hotel is much larger than on the first glance suggests.
Public is international. Slang in the hotel english is next to thai.
About the housekeeping, there is only positive things to say about it, we have every 2. day new bedlinen was gotten and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.
Wi-fi in the hotel is very expensive, actually totally disproportionate. You can choose between the options 30 minutes ... for 100 thb or 3 hours for 300 thb.

Patong merlin immediately again. We had a large air-conditioned room against the road. We had a few concerns, because of the noise, however you get from the noise outside, in the room and on the complex even nothing with.
Patong merlin we very on the cleanliness respected, the beds daily freshly referred, shower and towels changed daily. A very friendly, helpful staff.

Patong is the 'Ballermann' from phuket-which is known to us. Patong merlin was in the past by the 'Ballermann-guests' spared. We had pool-access -room in so far - quiet wing of the hotel. This was on this vacation past. The very nice pool bar was every afternoon from bloke that ran /drunk guests, their room in other buildings of the hotel had, until the late hours besieged. The same guests came in wet swimming shorts for breakfast and ate with the hands directly from the buffet. Unfortunately could the staff at the hotel not to the required extent through. Apart ... from that are the pool-access -room still spacious, beautifully located, the selection of food and -quality from the breakfast buffet, as well as the other dining facilities are good. The staff are altogether very friendly. read more

Gehobens hotel also getting quite old is. Door to the hallway has substantial ground clearance so that noise and mosquitoes to be expected. The zimmemobiliar requires a renewal.
The 4 pools are attractively decorated and to the beach one had to cross only a strongly frequented street. Breakfast repeated every day and offered no abwechslungn is however still delicious. read more

We had the deluxe room with a pool view in newer building. The rooms were okay, the climate and the other Furnishing was in good condition and in working order. Right next to the entrance to the hotel is the Hard Rock Café Patong, and everywhere you will find a supermarket, there you can at a good prices with food, and drinks setting. There is also everywhere along the street small stores with clothes (replications ), as well as tailor, and of course bars. I can the Autobars recommend! If you evenings party to make would like there enough possibilities: ...-) the pools were clean, but not in the best condition, here and there was the decoration broken, but the risk of injury is! The breakfast buffet is well done and also tasted. read more

We had a pool access room, simply magnificent with a direct access to the pool, there is nothing better! The pool bar directly opposite)-: the rooms were however, in my opinion a bit small, there was little space for the luggages. The closet was in the bathroom, but no shelves, only clothes bar, so we lived from the suitcase! Bathroom had extra shower and separate bath tub and wardrobe )-:, as well as glass walls, but you could blinds down! Room service was all right. We used a few times room service, ordered what to eat, worked great and fast ..., too later hour. The breakfast is OK, actually everyday the same! In the lobby bar and Seasidebar there was a few times happy hour 2 drinks for a price! Outside there was really everything that you need from shopping to party and so on the sea is definitely not recommendable, the beach partly very dirty and in some day everything stinks quite unpleasant! From the weather ago we had back luck, the third time August and it is at the 16 days only 2 even though it rained one day, a few hours but steep! Despite low season were lots of people all nations on the way! All together great holiday! read more

We have a few very nice days. The hotel is centrally located, but you can very well from the hustle and bustle and in the pool villas lovely relaxation. The guests are international ( very many Australians), each age group is represented, we are very much looking forward to go back. The Thai friendliness is here everywhere to feel. read more

Merlin Patong, gladly again. However if one rather the peace and quiet preferred and not the hustle and bustle... Then rather Khao Lak Merlin resort. However you get' noise outside' on the complex even nothing with. Fantastic pool area, options for shopping, bars, restaurants, massage... All in any idea since. The beach is only over the street, in a few minutes walk reachable. Free shuttle bus the two sister hotel several times a day. Here too the beach resort mention Merlin... Absolute quiet dream beach. read more

Patong is Phuket's liveliest place. This is reflected in the holiday tourists against. The relatively centrally situated hotel Patong Merlin is a small oasis in the bustling resort. The beach on the quayside directly reachable. ( who more beautiful beaches in karon and Kata preferred, with the ridiculously high small trains-prices resigning. Insiders talk of small trains-Mafia on Phuket.) the hotel complex is spacious with a lot of green and palm trees arranged. Is divided the complex by altogether four pools, as well as a small toddlers pool. We had relatively new annex A so-called pool-access rooms. Generously cut ... with a glazed bathroom, an odd, and direct access to the pool. The complete staff - from front desk over breakfast -, pool bar, DinnerbüfettkellnerInnen, to the maid were all very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet corresponds to expectations on a four star hotel. Recommendable nonetheless the dinner buffet on the beach promenade. Several times we ate there; it was-themed - more than enough and tasty. The evening, musical entertainment in the restaurant, as well as in the lobby wasn't pushy and not annoying. the rooms were all very clean ( very friendly cleaning staff), however is the hotel not more brand new - a few Traces of the wear have therefore available.
the hotel has 4 large pools and 2 integrated children's pool.
the American breakfast was pretty of good quality.
