A luxury hotel, at the nothing to complain about is. The children got a separate room. The games room is without window, however with air-conditioning. The rooms are massive and with fine furniture. Right on the hotel it was next to a fantastic infinity pool a natural lagoon, in which you with locals can bathe. A long sandy beach after 5 minutes walk on the beach reachable. There was a free computer for surfing, in the room there was free Wi-Fi. Recommendation: half board book, you can always from the à la carte service. read more

Unfortunately you have in the room 23 traffic noise heard. The food is great, but also very expensive. The additional fee for half board pays nevertheless definitely not from. Were mainly europeans there, especially english. read more

    Had a fortress room booked. Point 23 is less recommendable, since you have the noise from the street hear. But it was very nice. The balcony is with a view of a wall, therefore not very inviting. The bathroom is very big. Unfortunately is the air conditioning just over the bed

    The new highway from Colombo to galle is already in use, this saves you a transfer time of 4a 5 hours, the now on about 2,5 hours reduced. Directly at the beach, unfortunately one may not swim. With a tuk-tuk you can about minutes after galle or in 15 minutes after unawatuna. Mirissa is approximately 30 minutes out.

We have a almost perfect week in fortress experienced. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, one feels himsels like in paradise. The level of the price in the hotel is very high and is partly 4a 6 times over the prices in the local restaurants. Because there are no shops or restaurants to you either the Tuk-on the way to Unanwathuna make( there and back 1000 s) or in the hotel food. The prices are then German level, the quality is excellent. only fly in the ointment is the'beach area'. Because of the strong currents, the swimming in the ... sea and furthermore perilous. Also the hotel staff advises urgently here from. Baden finds therefore either in the very spacious pool with a dream view on the sea, or also the dream beach of Unawathuna. read more

The location of the hotel is very bad: directly on the busy (and ' behupten ') thoroughfare, and close to the active line. Supermarket or restaurant cannot be attained reachable on foot. The complex is rather modest. At a relatively low base a simple, zweigeschossiger construction sets, with a few columns and antique trimmed roof tiles to a Portuguese Fort said. Flowering plants or even a park is not available. A beach in front of the hotel does not exist, only stones, the swimming right in front of the hotel impossible. Annoying also the indication of the hotel restaurants. There ... is only one restaurant with tables inside and a few outside. The are just a second restaurant. Please note: same kitchen, same waiter. And 20 meters away there was a pizza, wood brazier, which is the third place. Tables do not exist here, the pizzas are served in the restaurant described above. The prices are steep: a small beer cost €three, bottle of wine from 30 euros. Meal for two people with starter and wine about 100 euros, for Sri Lanka large sum of money. Outrageous prices for mini-bar: it is cheaper, (!) a can of beer from a small train from a four kilometer away supermarket bring. A portion nescafé: 2,50 euros. Prices for massages or similar were exorbitantly high, about 90 euros / hour. read more

the hotel is only in the year 2007, opened. It is in the style of a forts built with the most rooms on the seaside out. We had first a Beachzimmer with small splash pool within of the room. When we however a few minutes in the room were, only the musty odor, as well as lots of black Mold in all corners of the area noticed. at the front desk we have a different room demanded and got (this time however on request without pool); so let never room 9 give. the new room ( room 10) was very ... clean and was several times daily from the staff checked and again sorted out in case we sometimes had used. The view from the bed directly on the Indian Ocean was simply fantastic. in the room there was a flat screen TV ( however no German transmitters except DW), a Bose complex (DVDs you could borrow), as well as an I-pod with about 3000 titles. On average I would the age around 45 years describe, mostly couples from various countries Europe's. read more

    Our Beachzimmer was on the ground floor with a direct exit to the garden and beach. The ocean was maybe 30 to 40 meters away. There was a massive bathroom Area with separate shower and toilet, as well as a separate modern, free standing Jacuzzi tub. in the bathroom There was two separate washbasin with large mirrors and everything, what you in a bathroom needs. in the room there was also a mini bar, water, Tea, Nescafe was free, for other drinks ( soft drinks, alcoholic beverages) you had to pay. the room had a Nespresso machine with a selection of lots of different Coffees, the subject to a charge were. the air conditioning was very effectively and by two ceiling fans in the living and bathing area still verstaerkt . wireless telephone, a safe, Patio Furniture/table were also available. Every evening, we got a small down comforter in the room. The artisanal condition of a room not with Western European Massstaeben comparisons. The choice of building materials, the handwerkwerkliche processing, as well as the continuous maintenance is at a completely other Level. Vordergruendig everything looks always very good.

    the gastronomy in the hotel is excellent. Usually you can evenings à la carte (except for the expensive seafood platter) and from a large offer choose. Also pizza applies as a starter; they tasted excellent and you is unfortunately mostly afterwards already full. It is only a restaurant available, including the number of rooms is sufficient; there were never problems with missing Plaetzen . Twice the Woches there was a buffet, which with good weather outside set (once seafood, once Indian/Sri Lanka kitchen). In The Morning also a buffet, you can also all egg dishes freshly prepared. Speed of service in the restaurant one may not expect, I have the impression, that everything a bit dragging, because otherwise evenings anyway not much going on is.

    the staff are extremely friendly and would every need fulfilled. With English one comes in the hotel well, also German would have worked, as a German intern in the service. Shade you could not only under the sun screen find, but also under lots of old Trees in the garden Area. pool was daily from the staff cleaned. Since we were there in a warm country with a lot of beach life, we have the beach here not miss anything and were with the pool fully satisfied.

    the hotel lies although directly at the beach, one can use the beach in front of the hotel however hardly, as there were many rocks in the water there and in the week, we were there, a very strong wind, so swimming in the ocean was forbidden. Who beach would, the can right from the hotel (in sea view) a Riesenstrand find, as there are only a few usable Accommodations are available, since the tsunami 2004 very much theim has. Left of the hotel there was also a small protected Place in sea, the rocks is circumscribed; this is however only used by locals. Since we only wanted to relax and a round trip had made, we have the hotel not leave. the airport in Colombo is about 180 kilometers away from the hotel, but you should in any case 4 up 5 hours Travel with a taxi take into consideration, as there is no highways and the path only normal streets and a place in the other goes.

Just perfect: huge standard room (about 65 sqm) with a huge bathroom and all of the technical finishing touches. Excellent and great Ammeneties boy: clean room, fantastic beds and several times on the day new laundry and room service. We liked it very much, a aufgedecktes and decorated the bed with flowers to find. Good selection of food, but to excessive high prices (approximately four to five times the prices, the outside of the hotel). In the immediate area there was no restaurants, you should simply by Tuk-Tuk to unawatuna, there are plenty of dining. read more

After staying in the last two years, some five stars hotels in Sri Lanka have met, this place is on my list at the top. The rooms are spectacular in modern design equipped-the bathrooms a dream. The rooms were cleaned twice daily, not self-evident in Sri Lanka. Even snacks, the European standard not five stars, first forgave a you like. The staff makes much of its service and friendliness again. The prices of the restaurant in the hotel are fair, however, you should be careful, because tax and service fee will be on top of the laundry service is excellent ..., the pool of the hotel was top. I would recommend the hotel absolutely all, like the relaxing! I would go there again. However not suitable for families. read more

Excellent hotel for relax and unwind. Excellent service, friendliness and willingness to help of the entire team. We had a week long felt very comfortable. The 3.5 hours from Colombo after Galle is a bit of a pain, but the way it is worthwhile in any case. The rooms, as well as the entire Hotel interior design are very tastefully decorated. An iPod and a sound system with great music, as well as a nice chill out in the room, invite you to unwind, relax and view of the sea. If you are looking for relaxation of a high ... standard, is at the right spot in this hotel. Unfortunately, there was a bath in the Indian Ocean to our travel time not possible, since the current and the waves were extremely strong. However, the hotel has a very nice and large pool. 2007 newly opened hotel on a dream beach in the south of Galle 30 minutes away. Room and pool were terrific. Train station nearby. The food was good but to Europeans that is no longer so hot as was typical for the country. Ambience great. Known for great Spa and Ayuveda applications. Many children (kids club, baby sitter) service was super friendly. Often frequented by Englishmen and Russians. read more
