Practically equipped rooms, not more new, support moderate, 'cool' broadcasting by concrete, but very clean. Bathroom tidy and clean, but no ventilation. Mini bar was well stocked and very cheap in the price. There in front of the room a small stream was, there were many mosquitoes. Desirable, if all rooms a plug could (limited at the front desk available, otherwise in the supermarket opposite available.

Very tasty and varied food in buffet form. International and local dishes. Lunches at reasonable prices the pool-/beach bar.

Very good service at the front desk, in the restaurant and also in the room.

Pool overall hardly used, from us not at all. Any entertainment not available.

Small hotel with an individual flair. Mostly couples, mostly german tourists, a few families. Half board with very good food. Very clean overall impression and very attentive and pleasant staff. The venetian style is a matter of taste. Very much angestrichener (view-) concrete. Garden very nice until to the sea, however sometimes randomly arranged and not very well maintained (4 stars?)

The hotel lies at a very nice long sandy beach with fine bathing possibilities. Extensive beach walks to georgioupolis very nice. In october we had wonderful weather (air often 30 °c) and could daily in the brand warm water baden. For excursions the hotel has a very good location: with the rented car we interesting excursions to the kournas lake, to the beautiful beaches falassarna and elafonisi, to Rethymnon, Chania, knossos and the south coast and a beautiful and recommendable küstenwanderung of Chora sfakion after loutro made (exerting and only with high shoes manageable). Over FTI we walk through the samaria gorge done, also very recommendable.

The rooms in the main building are very small and if you bad luck has go to the side of the road. You should when booking note. All other rooms are spacious and altogether it is clean.

Because the hotel small, there is a bar in the hotel and during the day a pool bar. Drinking sprees or large partying found here not take place!

The staff spoke English and was just friendly and attentive. Exactly, as we on vacation be.

We have the beach preferred. And is really clean and tidy.

The complex is tidy and the staff very friendly, without being intrusive. End of September were mostly couple under the guests and the age structure was wide-ranging. The food product varied and varied. For a relaxing vacation the hotel is as made. Close proximity to clean beach and the - luckily - missing animation were our entspannungsgefühl conducive. We have never experienced something like that, that the mini bar was cheaper, as the beverages in superkarkt! The liter water cost 50 cents. In summary: a superb vacation! And we would gladly come again!

Who it turbulent would like, is not here at the right address.

We had a room with lateral view of the sea booked with a terrace. The mini bar is very cheap and you don't need unbedfingt in the supermarket something to drink to buy. Unfortunately there were very many mosquitoes there, next time we will bring bug spray.

One kaonnte still wonderful outside eat. The food was very good. There was something for every taste.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Many of the staff speak German or one informs oneself on English. The rooms were cleaned daily and also the towels were changed often.

Thank god there are no animation, but who needs it with the great sea. There is enough chairs, 2 loungers with sun screen cost per day 4,50 Euro. But you should bathing shoe carry forward. The beach is wonderful only if you into the sea wants, it is rocky.

The orpheas is rather a small informal quiet hotel. We booked half board, which was totally sufficient and delicious. The guests were from Germany Austria England and some from Russia. The average age from young to old.

To the airport Heraklion it is unfortunately further. Bus transfer is approximately 2 hours better through Chania book. Purchase-and entertainment possibilities are in the immediate proximity. In front of the hotel is directly a bus stop up Chania drives is worthwhile this tour. Or also with the small railroad to the on the other side of the street stops.

The rooms are very clean and newly renovated. Also here with attention to detail worked. The standard room itself-as well as the shower - is a bit small. Here would be a bit more counter space was an advantage. You can but also so very comfortable make. If you want a little more space for a superior rooms. About the cleaning there were no problems at all. We were positively surprised - even in the cabinets no dust was to be found. A safe could you for a fee (was relatively expensive, ~5 Euro/ day) to rent. The prices for the mini bar are, as i have already mentioned, very human. Otherwise is everything available: air conditioning, hair dryer, tv, telephone, balcony (with clothes line and seating)

In the main building the restaurant is accommodated. One has the choice between 3 dining areas (one indoor and two outdoor). The food is exceptional local and very tasty. There was a lot of vegetables, salads, soups, meat, fish dishes and every day at least also a speciality. For those, the it not so 'to experiment' like there is every day 2 pasta. The quantity was always enough-it was even 10 minutes before closing refilled. Here you can really eat everything without hesitation-the salads and mincemeat dishes. For breakfast there was always 2 or 3 different eivariationen, fresh bread and rolls (!) , little bit hot, fruit, yogurt, sweet. Also the sausage was enjoyable. One should mention, that greeks actually not breakfast (not more than a coffee and something sweet to themselves). You should not be surprised, if the food lukewarm-this is intended, as in Greece usual (local). There is every day a wine of the day this is very good, high-quality wines. The house wine is quite enjoyable. The beverages-prices are, as already described, completely okay (1,80 Euro for mineral water - 3,00 Euro for house wine - 1,50 Euro for freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast). There is also a pool bar at the lunch snack can take to itself (recommended pita Gyros - best value for money). For subsequent hour there is in the outdoor area a comfortable, beautifully lit lounge, the to stay a while invites. In the evening it is particularly at the bar comfortable, as the barman manousos a good entertainer and also with the people from the reception comes into the discussion.

Here we would, if it were possible-more suns. Such a service we had never experienced. Already at the front desk we were blown away-despite late arrival (23 hours) we were before the check-in a dinner. The staff is always friendly and always very accommodating. You always meet the same employees at, this one comes also to chat and learn you know. Tips are also always gladly given - especially in the hotel bar with manousos (excursions, etc.). With english one comes through best. Isolated also speak german (Gabi from the reception is german). Another plus was the offered 'lunch' if one due to a trip for dinner not back should be. Also early breakfast (before 7:30 o'clock) is offered.

Which we appreciated a lot: there was no animation. There were no sports activities in the hotel. There was internet access for a fee. Beach towels for a deposit of 20 Euro every 2. day this - on request - replaced. The extensive sandy beach is directly at the hotel. Chairs are abundant - %blank% at the beach (with umbrella ) -, as well as by the pool. The sea is flat-so even for children very suitable. Showers are on the upper pool and directly at the beach available. At the beach there is from the neighboring hotel the possibility massage. There is also a few more meters a jet ski rental.

From the front view the hotel makes no stunning impression. It was however only once entering one is on vacation arrived: it was a beautiful, small hotel apolloâ flair. Very clean and stylish (in the romantic antique style ) with much attention to detail presented. It's not as flamboyant as the typical 'touristenbunker' (only 2 floors) We were very comfortable and can only recommend it. Chairs were always available (both at the pools, as well as at the beach - at the beach cost 2 beach chairs with umbrella 4,50 Euro - you get a voucher for 2 Raki at the pool bar...) Pools and sanitary facilities were also very clean and had the pools mostly for itself alone and could swim. We booked half board. What absolutely sufficient is. The drinks prices in the minibar are comparable to the supermarkets opposite. Also the prices for the beverages for dinner as' at home '. 90% of the guests are german. The remainder divides on into french, scandinavians, english and russians. From the age is really everything. Young couples, families with children and 50 +. Those who seek peace and quiet can find them here.

The hotel itself is directly at a highway (from the you in the hotel 't hear a thing). Approximate driving time to the next bigger towns Chania (with bus) about 50 minutes and to Rethymnon (with bus) about 20 minutes, bus stop directly in front of the hotel entrance. After georgioupolis (on foot at the beach) it was about 40 minutes Opposite the hotel there are several purchase possibilities (supermarkets, souvenir stores, rent-a-car from europcar-where you can also good bikes and mountain bikes, motorcycles or scooter rent) And cocktail bars/taverns and internetcafés. About 6 kilometer inland there are a very nice freshwater lake (lake kournas ) on the pedal boats and water turtles can see. Here you can get really good by bike. A visit in the samaria gorge should not to be missed - about 5,5 hours walk through the gorge (18 kilometer). It really pays off to rent a car and in the small mountain villages-the landscape is magnificent.

I had a room on the street side and was nevertheless enthusiastic. I liked the room really good and I felt from the first minute at home.

Here there is absolutely nothing to complain about! As I for Kreta as resieland decided and while searching for a hotel was, I paid attention, I in the hotel cretan kitchen get and not Schnitzel fries. But here were my expectations so übertropfen! It was a treat of the food. I cannot say anything more, except: try it out!

So for the waiters and the review this point, I am the whole time back and forth torn. One introdution: all of the staff in the hotel are very friendly and willing to help. The staff at reception I would like to especially stress. Make an wonderful great job. Many understand German, which I but not voraussetzte, when I stay at a foreign country drive. With English you at all staff further. Why I back and forth torn am: the waiters in the restaurant. These were sometimes overburdened and looked tired and worn out. All service staff every morning and evening in the hotel. This on duration nathalie found I can understand. My ambition at the quality of service, after this great reviews here, were higher. However these are really only details and above all of a high standard, the I have to complain about.

Sports and entertainment are in this hotel yes unfortunately not given. The pool area was ok, but since this great sea directly in front of the house for swimming invites, I this is preferred. Even if many here praise: I found it a little unfortunately, that there is no entertainment in the hotel gives, even if it to me booking as was known. Under entertainment I want no stupid entertainment program have, but maybe a nice greek bar-B-queue. If you look at the facebook page of the hotel as well, you can see the photos, that it comfortable evenings earlier certainly has. Might be an idea, who the hotel translate. It would guests the bar in the hotel use.

Beforehand I would like to say: my expectations were fully met. Really beautiful small hotel, with very nice equipped rooms. A great garden area, the directly at the long great sandy beach leads. Mostly guests from Germany, as couple or family to this hotel travel. I as traveling alone felt it rather as difficult, in contact with other guests in the hotel to come, since these rather for itself want to be. This is my pure feel. However I was lucky, that I didn't the only traveling alone was. I am a very more sociable person, also gladly times maintains. Whoever it is, you should perhaps consider, another hotel to take. Currently I am not sure, whether I traveling alone again this hotel would select, but I am totally thrilled from the hotel, the food and the friendliness!

The hotel is in the city kavros. This is about kilometers away of georgioupolis. The hotel lies directly at a busy main street, however you get from the noise in the hotel complex nothing with. In kavros itself there is on the other side of the street some taverns/ bars and shops. What however a great shame is, that many of these taverns/ bars already very early close. I personally found a great shame, there comfortable evenings very early ended, even if the owners a never out chuck would. To west crete to explore, this is the ideal place to go out. With the public bus one comes fast and cheap to Chania and Rethymnon. Also excursions to the south is well worth it from here.

Boo... The 2. problem of the vacation... Every day were people to ' changing rooms ' at the front desk. A small room in the main building with a balcony the road and views on two trash cans! Was the domicile for two weeks. Closet space for 1 person already inadequate, for 2 people... Oh dear... Oh dear. There is a bed, two chairs (you could feel the springs in the sit on the backside) and the refrigerator for the mini bar (the prices are really cheap! 1l of water 0,50 Euro, beer 0,90 Euro). Air conditioning with variable temperature, safe was with 2,70 Euro per day pay. The bathroom was okay. Small shower, toiletries and hair dryer (for costly föhnfrisuren rather own hair dryer carry forward) paper in a bucket thrown, don't be surprised. Some rooms have a decorative concrete floor with cracks and stains! Generally, there was only the choice between 'cellar hole' (ground floor with lush greens before the nose) or ' view ' to the street or with noise from restaurant and kitchen (main building, facing the sea, restaurant)... Everything very badly soundproofed and from every balcony or terrace there are direct contact with the neighbors.

Very good! Varied and nicely presented. For breakfast there were different sorts of rolls, bread, cereal and jam. Eggs, sausage, cheese, warm sweet and savoury treats. Fruit, quark, cake and cookies. Fresh orange juice you could for 1,50 Euro squeezed (in the evening costs the same juice 3,20 Euro) Coffee was in airpots brought to the table, or 'hot' water for various teas in the bag. For a small fee, there was Cappuccino or espresso. Evening was the offer also varied: two sorts meat dishes, vegetarian, always rice, alternating kartoffelbeilagen and vegetables. Salads, cheese platter, bread and a great (always seductive) dessert buffet rounded the gluttony from! Pasta with 2 sauces there was for children, or those, which nothing fancy \u263a Meals could you from 07:30 to 10:00 and 18:30 to 21:00 in the air-conditioned restaurant or under with canvas lined terraces in the outdoor area. The chef convinced nightly personally on his works (how will the buffet from the guests welcome...)

Well... Here opinion is divided... The waiter in the hotel and of the pool bar were very nice and friendly. English and a little german, everyone could. For lunch it was at the pool bar a bit more hectic, otherwise they were all quite leisurely mood. Maid and the two ladies at the reception (one of the manager is) were rather reserved 'nice'. There were complaints in the hotel daily several times from several guests, the perforce been heard. Here the games: i would like to-my room-change at the first place! Particular mention should at this point the on-site caretaker find. Gästeumgang this not learned, are but very important. It is to summarize, also bellboy! Here, it is the smallest of the entire travel bags. Gladly lack in the morning on the lawn some beach chairs, so that at the beach more pay immediatly can. Does it in the afternoon at full price!

There was no entertainment luckily no (a reason, why we this hotel bays). At the pool restaurant dudelte quiet and decent music, somewhat louder drive it from some of the other hotels at the beach over (about 1-2 hours per day). On the complex there were two small pools with integrated children's pool. A lag on the lawn with a view of the sea. Nicely arranged and directly at the pool bar abutting. The other was at the front of the restaurant... With a view to... Not everyone's thing... The lawn for sunbathing was big... However there was only around 15 to 20 beach chairs for about 150 guests! If we wanted to, unfortunately we were forced us the annoying habit of the beach chairs reservierens rejoin... And that in the morning at 07:00 o'clock. Not that, what we in holiday. The umbrellas were somewhere else... And at the children's playground, but also not shaded was... The water in the sea was great! Very refreshing and clear. Sometimes gave it in the afternoon a few waves, otherwise smooth as a baby's bottom. The beach at the hotel was unfortunately somewhat dirty and the chairs and screens (4,50 Euro for 2 chairs and a screen) partly broken. 2 showers are available, the, although rusty your purpose. Here there is potential for improvement. You can on 4 kilometer to the next place walk. Nice with sunscreen cream and sufficient from Germany take (the prices on site are absolutely ridiculously expensive)!

The basic concept of the whole area (architecture and large garden) is quite good. However much dilapidated and neglected. Maintenance seems to be a foreign word, as long as the hotel sold out or overbooked (is probably more often). With 74 rooms well arranged and only with half board bookable. While we were there, there were many germans, some englishmen and a handful of other nationalities there.

The location in kavros is pretty good. It lies between the cities of Rethymnon and Chania (with public bus lines perfectly and favorably to reach), however at the! Main street. A car hire gives it in the place. A ' bimmelbändchen' drives to the next village and offers a range of excursions. No animation ( I find very good). Very small, needy of renovation pools. Loungers 4,50 Euro per day. The beach and the view were but really nice.

We were last month in orpheas resort Kreta. Than Holidaycheck test winner the hotel was overbooked, and we were for the first 2 days in the neighboring hotel relocated. Bad start, because the room small and dark. The boss was very concerned uS further stay upgraded to a junior suite afterwards to improve.

The beach is one of the best bathing beaches of crete. Baden we could unfortunately not much, because the whole week the red flag before a swim has warned. The pools are urgently in need of renovation and definitely not suitable for children.
