I was very look forward to the Hotel Steinbock in pontresina and in summary, my excitement and expectations to the complete satisfaction fulfilled. Close to the center of the small quaint town and nevertheless peaceful location, with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain world, waiting for us the small comfortable hotel. After the friendly front desk and smooth check in us everything important explained and pass (bus tickets for the region-free, ski pass - 25 chf per day, gargenticket -18 chf per day). It was offered, with the luggage to be helpful, which with a star hotel very rarely ... occurs. We have a double room sport booked with shower and toilet on the floor, which 5 guests parts. The wet room was small but clean. In the comfortable room there was a washbasin, enough towels, bathrobe and toiletries.
We have a bathroom in the room not miss it, as we every day after skiing the great large spa area next door in the Hotel Walther and showered.
In the spa there were various saunas, steam rooms, resting room with fruits and tea and a pool. Perfectly clean, plenty of towels and the possibility treatments to book round off the offer.
We booked half board - every evening there was a very tasty multi-course dinner menu. Compliments to the chef of the hotel - i have never seen so tasty meal. The all breakfast buffet was above average.
Guest structure: like one it wishes itself.
Pontresina has no private winter sports region: every 30 minutes (too few!) The ski bus drove in front of the hotel after celerina duration about 15 minutes, entrance to the winter sports region corviglia. From the stop of the ski bus cresta palace one must again around 5 minutes away on foot the gondola lift-very inconvenient.
The corvatschgebiet takes you about 45 minutes, diavolezza about 10 minutes

A hotel for feeling good. Helpful and competent staff, the at any time give any advice. The infrastructure contains everything for holidays need, especially worth mentioning is the modern spa area.
Culinary the hotel is varied and creative. There are not standardkost, but creations not everywhere there is, for the tastebuds again and again an experience! read more

Were in Hotel Steinbock passing through for one night and have HolidayCheck a double room booked! The hotel is of constructional rather a guesthouse, but otherwise a top 4 -hotel. We stayed on half board upgraded-the menu in the evening was excellent! The chosen (last available room) had a bathroom on the same floor and was very small, however very tastefully and comfortably furnished. The hotel is of the neighboring hotel Walther connected, the wellness area can free of charge be used. In sum a very fine and good hotel with super kitchen and service! We would gladly come again! read more

Price/performance ratio was very good. Hotel lobby and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. Activities offer available. With half-board the dinner delicious but rather hard. Staff friendly, but quite smart in the service (especially at the pour... there and a drop in the tablescloth). read more

The hotel has its own Charme and if one is barren, an ideal place to stay. We have stayed several times in the hotel Steinbock and young children are usually there. The staff was very friendly and the service was impeccable. The wellness area that one of the 4-star hotel Walter may, is perfect for a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately the prices are rather 4 *. The daily rate for the dog brought (Friday 25.-) is slowly but surely on the ceiling. The additional expenditure for the staff was certainly not in this area.
But all in all a ... wonderful Hotel, which we are bound to visit! read more

We visit for years the hotel Steinbock, a nice cozy hotel in the engadiner style. Again and again we are from the excellent service and the friendly staff surprised. The breakfast buffet and the dinner included in the half-board we found outstanding. Is a treat the Wellness zone in the neighboring hotel Walther with ** ** * The Hotel made a very clean impression in all areas. Highly recommendable. read more

We have enjoyed the stay despite a little cold weather. The hotel building is a beautiful half-timbered house. The service has more character than three star four stars. The front desk is always a great tip, which one can undertake to any weather. Also the free regional map is (bus, train and cable car) a top offer, in order to get to know the area better.
The breakfast buffet was very good and everyone could take what he wanted. The wait staff (always nice and very friendly) brings eggs to order!
The dinner (4 course menu) was very recommendable. We ... were always full and it tasted very good! The service in the restaurant was great. The tables were after every guest newly changed and set up.
The wellness area was also recommendable. The four saunas were comfortable and there was sufficient space to relax. Towels, fruit and drinks are free. The pool was probably just, but we were able to relax after the beautiful hikes good.
Transportation to and from the hotel was very recommendable, the rooms are very clean and large and, above all, are quiet. You can't hear neighbors!
We were very satisfied and will certainly stay here again! read more

A superb service, extremely friendly staff.
Hotel and rooms with Charme, clean, quiet depending on the category, quite small but okay.
Dessert buffet Monday as I have seen keiens!
Half board (as always in Switzerland) I would recommend it to all.
Pool and sauna in the zugeh. Noble scale (Hotel Walther) super! -large, clean, sauna, steam bath, relaxation room-top notch!
As a bike, highly recommended, also because of the wide breakfast buffet!

A wonderful typical traditional Swiss hotel. Dining and wine selections exceptional with attentive service. Close to ski areas of St. Moritz area and easy access through public transportation. Staff was very knowledgeable and most staff spoke good English. Had use of the 5 star spa/pool at Hotel Walter beside us. Overall our experience was very positive and would stay again. read more
