The InterContinental is a high end property, in a very touristy part of town, but not where you will find the true high end properties. That said, we had a generally good stay again in this property. As an IHG Platinum member we received free Internet and welcome points. read hotel review

This is the second stay I have in this hotel. This time around the stay was for three nights, all free courtesy of the IHG Credit card and the IHG promo from last year. I have notified the hotel in advance that the three reservations are linked and requested to stay in the same room for the entire time. I have booked a King Deluxe room and we were upgraded to a corner room. Apparently last time we got upgraded to even a better room, because this time around the room size was relatively small. That said, the bed were comfortable, the shower big with a rain shower head (no tub though), and the view was great.

Service was generally good. Although we could not check in when we arrived (around 2 PM), they were very attentive and proactive in finding us when the room was ready (which was expedited). We were on three consecutive reservations, which required re-keying the room key every day – but we were warned about it in advance (more than what most do). We were granted a late check out as well. The only problem in during the stay was that apparently the room above us across the hall had flooding which trickled down to our floor. That meant that cleaning and vacuuming commenced at 1 AM in the morning – not the best thing for a good night sleep.

The Intercontinental Times Square name is a little deceiving. While in close proximity to Time Squares it is not on the square itself, but rather 2 blocks from the Port Authority bus station on 8th Avenue. The area itself can get a little seedy at night, but I never felt unsafe in it. That said, the Subway is just there and it is very convenient location both to Broadway as well as for other tourist attractions.

Very nice property. I redeemed 50,000 IHG points to stay here, which is the most expensive option in their entire catalog. I dont think it was worth it. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and spacious, but for points, it was overpriced. I would return if I found a good rate, but I would spend my points elsewhere. read hotel review

Great hotel in the heart of Times Square

New York Time Square. A city that never sleeps. The Intercontinental is situated in a fantastic location, extremely close to Times Square and theatres within walking distance. The 42nd St/Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station entrance is located right beside the hotel, which makes it easy to get around NYC on public transit. Booked a deluxe room for a night on an annual IHG free night certificate from the IHG Rewards Mastercard with a 24h layover in NYC. A smooth subway trip from JFK to 42nd St, and was able to check in at 1130 into a corner king deluxe ... room. The bed was lovely and so were the Agraria toiletries. Wifi was reasonably fast. Unfortunately was only there for a day and had to leave at 0510 the next day back to JFK. Great hotel to be at with all the Times Square action just a block away! read hotel review

This hotel has a brilliant location in the heart of Manhattan near Time Square, surrounded by bars, restaurants and thatres. The room was large enough, well equipped and clean. There is a gym on the premises, other facilities like clublounge, spa, pool and sauna which are typical standard in most intercontinental hotels are missing here. read hotel review

The IC Times Square is a newer hotel, and definitely still feels fresh and modern, form the lobby to the guest room. The front desk staff were warm, and welcoming, and we were upgraded to a Corner View room, from which one could see down south 8th Ave to the Freedom Tower, and also west to the Hudson River. The room was fairly spacious for NYC, and was very well appointed. The only negative, was the lack of a tub. The hotel is also quite close to the subway, making getting around NYC easy. and while the property is quite ... near to Times Square, it's remains far enough away that the crush of tourists has generally abated by the time you reach the front door of the hotel. We would definitely return. read hotel review

The reason I booked this hotel was its location. I had never been to New York before, so I thought a central location 2 minutes walk from Times Square would be ideal. And it was. Another plus is the subway (E-line) running right below it, so very convenient when coming from the airport by subway. I got a room on a high floor and the room was fantastic. Amazing view and pretty large for New York. One negative point: there was a welcome letter in the room, which was directed at someone else. As an Ambassador, I als receive fruit ... and water in the room, but unfortunately, I didn't manage to eat it all on my first night and when I came back after exploring the city, everything was gone. read hotel review

The hotel is conveniently located in the theater district near Times Square with easy access to entertainment, food and the subway. Rooms are in good condition though a little cramped. Service (aside from some receptionist at check in desk) is friendly and helpful. The check in process is a mess. No lines. Tons of people squashed within 10 sqm waiting for the receptionist and their room. I was reserved for a deluxe twin on a high floor, but when checking in at 4 pm, there wasn't not any room available. Instead of customary upgrading to an available room, the receptionist ... (Javier or Jose, forgot the name) lied about the room categories and tried to assign me the worst room on the 2nd floor, or to wait for 1 hr for the room reserved. An hour later, still no room, I had to talk to another receptionist who eventually helped me to get the room reserved for. This is certainly not the experience we would expect from a hotel with $500+ daily rates read hotel review

IC Time Square for Christmas

Intercontinental Time Square is one of the most expensive IC hotel in the world. We stayed there for Christmas night and I used 50000 IHG points for 1 night otherwise it would cost $500 per night. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the room size is not very big but it is already larger than most of the Hotel I stayed in Manhattan. The other good thing is they have a self parking opposite the street and it only cost $25 for 24 hours. Whereas other hotel will cost you at least $35. They also provide valet parking and it ... is $60 each time. read hotel review

Staff rather average - I did not feel good enough treated as Royal Intercontinental Platinium Member. No newspaper at the door, no welcome amenity. No mobile changer arrived to my room after 2 calls and 90 minitues waiting. I can not reccomend this hotel ... read hotel review

Tucked away off 44th street

Tucked away off 44th street near Time Square this hotel is typical New York in price and location. If you want the hustle and bustle you are in the middle of it but you can also relax and have some quiet time in the lobby bar/restaurant or in your room where the street noise did not filter much thru the insulated windows. Staff was friendly and helpful in many questions you will ask to get around. would recommend this hotel due to location and food option plenty nearby also the subway station is pretty much right next/under hotel. read hotel review

Great hotel In busy area

This is a very nice hotel in the heart of New York. The rooms are decently sized for such a central hotel and the views from our room were very good. The glazing on he windows is very big so you don't hear a great deal of noise from the busy streets below. The area around the hotel is very busy at nearly all times of day which can come as a bit of a shock after leaving the peace and tranquility of the hotel. read hotel review

What a great spot to stay in New York City if you are taking in a Broadway play. Relatively new hotel (used to be a parking garage) right near the action, but a block away from the hectic Times Square. A super place to burn the Chase Free Night certificates! Staff attentive and friendly. Could not have asked for more. read hotel review
