Very well run hotel. Only few rooms ( circa 20), partly rather small, but everything clean and tidy. Of our balcony we had a view of mount etna! 24 hours front desk, beautiful pool. Also very nice German speaking staff ( especially front desk!). A few parking spaces in front of the house, apart from that expensive underground parking. Very good food ( half board). International audience ( Italian, German, austrians, English, french, dutch) from young to old. read more

    Partly rather small rooms, but generally reasonable. Little space, especially when you two weeks stay. Size of the bathroom is rather normal. Tv with 2 German programs ( ZDF, Eurosport). Air conditioning worked well, but unfortunately the temperature only at the front desk rules ( in the room only one from). Positive: safe is included!

    Breakfast buffet with all the bells and whistles. Also much fresh fruits. Dinner very good. Daily three appetizers and main courses to choose from (always at least 1 fish and 1 meat dish). Quality really reasonable, mostly local kitchen. Hardly any repeats. Good wine list, price customary.

    Very friendly staff - perfect English and partly also very good German. Cleaning not unusual, however reasonable. Basically everything very clean.

    In giardini -Naxos, district recanati. 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, bus station approximately 50 meters. To Taormina one drives by bus about 15 minutes, with a car 10 minutes bus is however because of the parking situation in Taormina recommendable ( and retoure 2.80 per person). Street with restaurants, bars and shops around the corner.

The most important thing for many travelers first the hotel seems to walls of paper to have. You heard the people in the neighboring rooms talk, almost, as if they were in their own room would be. This clouds the overall impression unfortunately very strong, because peace could so unfortunately hard again, the activities the cleaning ladies and of the kitchen one heard already early in the morning. Unfortunately, that the construciton quality apparently played no part, because the food was %blank% evenings, as well as for breakfast very tidy, the rooms are very nice decorated and the location was ... also okay. read more

Villa Daphne is a beautiful hotel in Giardini Naxos-Recanati. We were there very satisfied. In the pre season were very few guests in the house, nevertheless one has very much trouble given. The breakfast was okay. It was something there for every taste. Also the cleanliness in the hotel was very good. We booked half board, however the hotel was in the restaurant not on. So we got a receipt for a restaurant about 100 meters away. There, you could from the menu choose what you wanted, which was great. Also was the host and the service staff very welcoming ... and friendly. A bus station is equal to next to the hotel. It is very convenient for excursions at the eastern coast. We had a beautiful, large room with a balcony and were super satisfied. read more

A very nice, well-kept and tastefully furnished hotel in the middle of Giardini Naxos/Recanati. Air conditioning, safe, mini bar, LCD tv available. We had (only) a standard room which was more than what we mean. No two minutes from the bus and only five minutes to the beach. Who plans in close proximity to Taormina spend your Holiday this hotel highly recommended even if the breakfast offers little variety. In the evening, the food is administered in menu form, which at breakfast under three and three main courses and a dessert to be chosen. The dinner is not for people ... who want to fill the stomach, but in a stylish, upscale atmosphere. Every evening the same table with its partners, which I personally found very good. Mineral water (0.75 L) the cost three euros and wines from 14 euro the bottle. Catering for excursions there were unfortunately not. Excursions could be over Neckermann book the chief problem. If you rent a car, I recommend a GPS since the ride is a bit chaotic. The hotel give 100%! read more

For us it was a wonderful holiday. We cannot find criticism. The food was varied, in two weeks there were no repetitions of the menu. The hotel was small and very personal. The guest structure from singles to family of five, nationalities from all over europe, all showed a good attitude. the rooms always clean, no complaints. The distance to the beach was acceptable, but is much too interesting just to be on the beach. We can reject this hotel for travellers the entertainment and very individually the holiday to recommend one hundred percent. read more

The hotel looks already from the outside inviting; it works very again, is clean and is not too large. All rooms have balcony, partly to the road. From the balconies to the roadside out one can look on the Ätna. There is a beautiful hotel terrace, which borders on the dining-hall, which we however due to the weather have been used and in our case for the meals also not be used could not (too few guests, inconsistant weather). The pool is quite large for the size of the hotel, it gives sufficiently sun couches. Al we in the hotel ... were, were above all German guests there, Englishmen, dutchmen and even Italians we in addition, sighted. The guests were excluding pairs, agemoderately rather in the 50Plus-Bereich - that can have been however because of the travel time. read more

    The room was appropriately large and had a large and very comfortable double bed. In the bath there was to bath tub and shower, as well as the nationaltypical bidet. The size of the bath was pleasant, in which problem-free two people could be at the same time. The balcony was to the road, but the windows hold the noise and the room had an air conditioning system, so that one does not have to open the window probably also in the summer, in order to have a pleasant sleep temperature. I found which rooms much responding furnished and arrange, decent yellow painted and with beautiful pressures at the wall. It flowed a “Italy feeling”, without being kitschig. Also which concerns cleanliness, there is not nothing at all to complain of.

    Breakfast: Who knows the Italians, it knows that their breakfast consists of an espresso and a cookie. Before this background the hotel offers actually an impressing selection of muesli, bread, to heartful lining, scrambled egg, jams and evenly also the typically Italian cookies and cakes. Nevertheless one should not expect buffet, how one knows it from a German Sonntagsbrunch. Dinner: As from others already it described here one had with the breakfast from a selection of in each case three courts first and second course to select, whereby the first course usually existed in a selection of soup, pasta or Risotto court, second then fish and meat offered. I would call the kitchen typically Sicilian. We have many of the courts, which we ate, funnier point in an example book with Sicilian kitchen, which we bought in this vacation, regained. Who likes fish, comes fully at its expense; a certain readiness to in-permit (calf meat with almond sauce, Makrelen with raisins in the baking paste), is of advantage itself into so far perhaps unknown taste worlds. We were anyhow each evening inspired on the new, and I dare the statement that I did not eat ever better in a hotel restaurant.

    Prescription ion personnel and waiters were all together very nicely, helpfully and have always the feeling mediated to be welcome. Behaviourless one followed to our only special wish (a small breakfast around 5.15h, before a daily trip). The staff understands and speaks partial German, with English gets ahead one problem-free

    The hotel lies 2 minute far away from the local bus station, which for trips into the environment is ideal to particularly also come in order into the tourist center Taormina. There is 2 beaches, the actual beach in the city center and the “hotel beach” in Giardini Naxos. The hotel lies between both, so that the one in 15, which other one can be achieved in 10 minutes to foot comfortably. Also purchase possibilities, cafes, bars and restaurants are well attainable in few going minutes.

The hotel is very comfortable and not so large. The room was very clean and wonderful (Italian stucco) with terrace and air-conditioning. The breakfast buffet was wide and very tasty. For dinner, you could choose from three menus, the food was then in the evening on the wonderful Terrace by the pool served. We were more than happy, also with the very friendly and helpful staff. Only a few steps away, was a small bus station, from which you all sights as taormina very cheap and simple distance. Small bars and restaurants are also immediate Nearby, but the best we ... had on the beach of giardini Naxxos, where very many shops, a wonderful Sandy beach and a small harbor, are. From there it is about ten to 15 minutes' walk. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. read more
