We had a room with beautiful sea view in the ' lunas'. The furniture is not the most modern, but i would like to again and again point out, that we in Cuba are! The room had a mini bar, the refilled daily was. A coffee maker, iron and ironing board were available and worked. The balcony was large, the air conditioning new. The room was big, also the beds. On the tv you can a german program welcome. The bathroom was large and clean, warm water always available.

There are 7 bars: Aqua bar 'la noa' of 10:00 until 18:00 o'clock Lobby bar '1492 ' 24 hours Bar ' La Nina ' from 10:00 until 18:00 o'clock Bar 'carabela' of 10:00 until 18:00 o'clock Lobby bar 'dorado' of 18:00 until 22:00 o'clock Bar 'la pinta' of 10:00 until 18:00 o'clock open 6 restaurants: ' Colon ' buffet Breakfast from 7.30-9:30 hours Lunch from 12,30-14:30 hours Dinner from 18,30-21:30 hours The food at the buffet is so varied, just something for everyone. On the eating habits of the various nationalities is received, bet you are unable to try everything? With vorbestellung you can in the restaurants ' Le bistrot ' french restaurant ' Carabela ' mexican restaurant ' Santa Maria ' italian restaurant ' Romantica ' romantic cuisine at the beach eat. From 12:00 until 15:00 o'clock is the 'snack lunch' open and Forever hungry 24 hours long the snack bar 'galileo'. We can all restaurants with 'good' to 'very good' rate. Never forget, we are in Cuba, where still economy scarcity and the majority were must be imported! The quality and selection a drink is good, also the cleanliness The atmosphere in the specialty restaurants is very nice, trying hard even if not always everything is like in France, Mexico or Italy. But where do we know? Finally was none from the staff to visit these countries, which hopefully will soon change!

The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. The tour guide with its german to understand. On the complex but mostly english spoken, from the security to the gardener, which surprised us a lot. Bed and rooms were always clean, the room maid surprised daily on the new with folded works of art from towels and blankets. Tip is distinguished way! Gladly taken, but not 'forced.' At any time of the day drew a smile the faces of the staff. On every wish and complaints were promptly reacted to. To the tips i would like to say, that this for example the bar staff in a joint cash is given, which also those who receive, which in the background and for the guest not visible, their work, as the kitchen staff for example this is the line thus given.

The entertainment was good and not intrusive. Disco gave it to each evening, however by us was not visited. The pool was really clean, chairs abundant and did not with towels are reserved, not at the beach! There were showers and toilets at the beach, also sufficiently sun screens and trees as a shading device. You can diving, deep sea fishing, catamaran and boating, as well as many more. By the way, the wasserballett in the evening is worth seeing!

The very well maintained hotel area consists of 2 before about 4 years combined hotels, the quieter 'luna' and the larger 'mares', in the the lobby bar ' 1492 ' is, what 24 hours was open. The complex looks on the pictures very big, is however on foot good and on abbreviations one arrives fast from a to b. The food is all-inclusive and for cuban standards very good. The guests are 6 restaurants and 7 bars available. The age structure is mixed, children were at this time only very few on the complex. The guests are mostly canadians, english, italian, spanish, a few german and russian. Binge drinking found no! We have noted, the very lots of guests already several times there were, so shortly before christmas with small gifts for the employees arrived and very easy going and amicable been welcomed, as old friends stop.

The beach is just a few meters on foot away, but it was at the time because of the weather not very clean, it rained almost daily and the sea was very rough. Additionaly were not all damage from the hurricane ' Sandy ' eliminated, but you was very tried. The distance to the airport holguin was a bit less than an hour. In front of the hotel are taxis (state, as well as private oltimer ) available, furthermore a small bimmelbahn, a double-decker bus and horse-drawn carriages. The city guardalavaca is about 5 kilometers away, but apart from a small market, it mostly souvenirs to buy is not lots to offer. There are some shops, where you but for our standards hardly can buy something. Excursions to Havanna ( 2 day trip), to santiago and a cigar factory in holguin offered. Worth seeing is the small fishing village gibara. Jeep safaris in the area are also offered. In the vicinity of the hotel there was a small for example rethymnon was more worth seeing natural park, from whose hills an excellent view on the beach of the hotel has. The park is home to much for botanists. In the opposite direction is a lagoon. Beware mosquitos in the nature park, in the hotel however, no! The location of the hotel is rather quiet, not too high expectations.

The rooms are already a bit shabby but all with balcony or terrace, and mostly with a view of the sea. When the initial assigned room pleased - as ground level-i will be charged a somewhat remotely from the main building, but very quiet room and the 5 days felt good. Especially nice i found the creativity of the cleaning staff, which daily from the towels figures and this on the beds trappiert have.

The buffet was excellent and very varied for cuban standards. There are also 4 theme restaurants, of which one 2 per week visit. You can speak french, italian, mexican and romantic food and i was very pleasant surprised and more than expected received. The food was there excellent and in the all inclusive offer included. Big compliment. Also all drinks were included

As everywhere on Cuba very friendly staff. One speaks almost everywhere english to spanish mother tongue. Everywhere there was very clean, although the rooms a bit desolat was. But since in december probably the main season begins, was still efficient with the renovation.

2 large pools and the sea outside the 'doorstep' should for swimming and bathing are. The entertainment was from the guests pusillanimous taken into account, but it is at this time probably normal, because the average age of the guests rather upscale was.

Egg A huge complex with 8 blocks, long ways, if you in the remote blocks lives, but a pleasant designated bathing resort with its own beach. There were despite november several families with children. But thanks to the entertainment you hardly notice. Speisasaal was for the quantity of people too small

There is absolutely nothing. The hotel is alone at the beach from the atlantic ocean, but the hotel offers everything, what you for a beach vacation need, except for a place. I was with a travel's group across Cuba traveled and we could 5 days the warm weather and the sea and therefore the visit complete.

The size is great, you have sufficient space, also in the bathroom. Everything was clean and bed is very comfortable. Balcony is also large enough, with 2 chairs. Tv is small, but enough. There is even a radio-cd player, and an ironing board. Kettle for coffee and tea and every day there was a large bottle of water. Rooms pleased us very well. The shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom was, smelled great and was free, really great! The towels were so nice from the cleaning lady folded.

The buffet restaurant has afternoons and evenings open, there was something for everyone, was diverse and everything delicious. Pasta you could always after desire let, fish and meat as well, there was a lot to choose from, salmon, prawns, octopus, beef, pork, turkey. Really great! There was also as a dessert crepe with bananas flambe, delicious! In one week you can 2 times in the theme restaurants, here there were mexican, italian, beach restaurant and a frenchman. The frenchman is really super, since wärenn we love to go back, entrecote very tasty and the cakes as a dessert was great! The at the beach was okay, but i would not again book, then the mexican restaurant, which was supposed to be according to the statement from other vacationers also good. Otherwise was the pizza at the pool bar really good, just as the sandwich and burgers, at the beach bar as well, really hefty good burgers and the fries tasted also. So if you didn't grow with so wide choice and delicious food, you could probably good knowledge ☺

Since i can't complain, everybody was friendly, courteous and had good english and even german. One had almost never long wait for anything, also cleared quickly. Especially in the beach bar the operations were very pleasant and accommodating.

The two pools are nicely laid out and you can swim, in the larger there were also a pool bar with good cocktails, great too! Otherwise there was the gym, Midget Golf, at the beach you could archery, water aerobics i believe it would also offered and water polo, a board next to the restaurant has always shown, what there was. There were some, will not boring.

The hotel consists of 2 hotels and is in a very good condition, everything is very well-kept and nicely arranged. Really a outstandingly beautiful area. There are 2 pools, several bars, of which the whole day open and at the pool the snack bar also 24 hours open. A spa area with jacuzzi, fitness room, there were also, here you can for a fee a massage.

It lies directly at the beach, you need some hotel split a couple of minutes now, from the other one is in 2 minutes at the beach. The way there is however through the nicely arranged area and therefore does not. We have no more than 3 minutes to the beach and pool chairs there are a lot of, the beach boys bring a and clean. Beach is beautiful, it is like in the picture book there! Unfortunately guardalava a piece of away, you can with the taxi now, we did not make however. There the complex so large and all-inclusive, you could use the offer and above all the great beach, the so is white and fine. There around the hotel only other plants are, i only stars, since you always taxi or bike, scooter needs, around out.

We were in the luna and had a large, quiet room with a wonderful sea view and comfortable bed. Although a bit dated, it was for cuban standards a beautiful room. Everything was clean held also the towels were immaculate virgin, which in Cuba is not self-evident, because it sometimes of detergent is missing

Of all our Cuba stays we have in this hotel best eaten. We had never such a big and delicious choice at the breakfast, even freshly squeezed orange juice was offered. In the main restaurant you could different fish or meat directly from a chef grillieren or otherwise at the buffet serve. The fries were crispy delicious and even hot ! The vegetables were frozen or from the can. Fresh vegetables if you in cuban hotels actually in vain. On the one hand, the agriculture of the government for years neglected and farmers have to harvest the state deliver. On the other hand, because of the embargo should not agri machinery or about fertilizer available. On land you can observe well as the farmers still today with ox and plow the earth belabour must. At the nice beach bar there were simple dishes, however, one day the top and on the other a flop. We stayed at the french restaurant very delicious and in the italian it was just the opposite, the pasta was everything but italian and the meat practically inedible.

The staff are friendly and very the guests right to make. Complaints are taken into account and immediately dealt with. We wanted after 2 nights the room change, because the construction of the pool luna started and large construction noise caused. That was not a problem at all and ma gave us even a more beautiful room. Wether at the front desk also they speak german i can't say since our main language is french and this because of the many canadians from quebec in Cuba almost everywhere spoken. In the main restaurant was in the 2. week the staff apparently diminished which for the waiters noticeable.

In this hotel the pool fans   in my opinion a bit disappointed be you can really not of a pool area, like in other hotels in Cuba usual, speak. Both are not very largely and rather dated. The luna has just repartiert and was closed. The tiles in the pool area the mares are old, partly broken and uneven. But were the chairs by the pool top, however from 7 o'clock with baderüchern reserved... The evening entertainment was somewhat amateurish and rather boring. However, this is understandable if one considers that this area toursmusmäßig not with Varadero comparable where of course the best artists and entertainers produce.

After a round trip and other 5-partly also langzeiturlaube -in Varadero we had to determine that the Ballermann atmosphere always worse. Depending on the season meeting hordenweise young canadians without etiquette in Varadero a,, get drunk from the morning until the evening and drag chanting and screaming through the resorts - at night as well ! Therefore decided we us this time for this hotel in guardalavaca and we in this field were also not disappointed. All the Cuba for the first time book should be aware that you are in a country which for over 50 years due to its policy with a questionable embargo of the americans  is being punished in 4 stars hotel no top infrastructure, such as in other countries expect can. The cubans gave themselves large trouble but often lack the material to a forthcoming repair or a foodstuff, like for instance parmesan cheese for the pasta is suddenly not available anymore and stop by gouda or something else replaced. So, if you don't qualify or a wink can (or wants), should not to Cuba travel, however rather in the dom. Republic or to Mexico. Now to the rating  : the hotel was 20 years ago built as well as the arrival at reception also just looks. Everything is a bit dated but in relatively good condition and very clean. The guests came mainly as at all in Cuba- mostly from Canada. Also british, germans and a few russians and Poland were there. We appreciated particularly all in this hotel very decent, correct and just normal behaved. The weather was excellent, it rained only 2 times and night. The extreme heat but we did, especially in the evening where it was windless,, a little and we will probably never more in september in this region travel.

The hotel is out of the way and quiet, approximately 5 kilometers from the small town of guardalavaca where there is nothing to see. The beach is the best we in Cuba ever had, although nothing special large for long walks, but white sand, 29 degrees warm crystal-clear water without algae, palm trees and shaded areas. Not at all comparable to the adjacent hotel Rio de oro the beach small and rocky. Beach chairs can, wonders. Not with towels are reserved because they are not free to verfügeng, but an employee takes you personally on arrival of the guests and clears you leave as soon as you the beach leaves but the uncomfortable white plastic urgently through fabric covered as you by the pool are available be replaced.

our room was very large with a large double bed. Bathroom with bath tub and bidet. A bit shabby but every day really clean made. Air conditioning available, a bit noisy, but we didn't required. Coffee machine and fridge available. Room was on the ground floor, therefore at night from time to time disturbed through the area's favorite pastime redende guests. We wanted but not change, because we had a very nice view of the sea had

We were thrilled by the extensive offer, eating and drinking is 24 hour possible. 4 bars above, 2 bars at the beach. Buffet restaurant the leaves nothing to be desired with changing dishes, always with grill outside the one could select oneself which then freshly roasted was. For breakfast freshly squeezed orange juice. Far four specialties restaurants, we have French and romantic booked (2 x per seven days stay possible), the best on the first day book. We were inspired over the fine kitchen and the service. Apart from that there is by the pool and the beach a snack bar. Unfortunately, there was often the minze for the mojito from. Between 19:30 and 20:15 there was always waiting times on main restaurant, thus best directly at 19 o'clock food or later.

staff speaks perfect English, German not possible. Unfortunately was redeeming the Americans with their tip trap the staff. The Americans to be associated with every drink at the bar 1 CUC tips (corresponds to about a dollar). If you only occasional a give a tip you can overlooked will, but eventually you get your drinks. Am not against tips, but you should consider that a Cuban doctor about 20 CUC in the month earned and I had also no desire every day still additional 10 CUC on tips to give away.

Entertainment we didn't use, although much offered was. Access to the internet is possible three terminal, but very slow (under ISDN speed). The hour costs 6 CUC= 5 euros. The send a mail but can, to 5 minutes take is however everywhere in Cuba Sunday no Wi-Fi, so computers at home leave.

Very extensive area, very clean, botanical very well maintained. Many Americans, very nice but also very noisy. Two pools, one with entertainment, one without. Four bars at the pools, two at the beach. we would immediately go once again.

Beach relatively short but very nice with turquoise blue water. The next place is 2,5 kilometers away, with the Taki for 5 CUC or with a horse-drawn carriage for 6 CUC to reach. Not worth seeing unless you want the Toristenmarkt see how the Americans over the ear pulled will.
