After very simple accommodation during the Trekkings it was a pleasure, the Hyatt Regency to recover. Great was close proximity to impressive stupa of Boudhanath, so that we a daily walk ( approximately 650 meters) there could and the special atmosphere on us could. Except the pool there were och a fitness studio and a jogging Parkour, we however not used. A free shuttle bus-service in the city center is also offered, however only one-way. The Return trip with the taxi from thamel to the hotel, took depending on traffic about 20 to 30 minutes and by day between 300 ... and 400 Nr (CIRCA 3 to 4 euros). The transfer to the airport takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. read more

My Nepalreise I with a 2-day stay at the Hyatt Regency hotel started. The taxi from the airport cost 8 US $and was from Vermittlungsschalter in Ankunftsgebäude hereto. In the afternoon rush took the drive more than half an hour for 4 miles. At the entrance the Hyatt hotel the taxi with mirrors on war investigated and also otherwise was everywhere staff on security on the grounds distributed. The reason was safe for a bomb explosion in Kathmandu a few days before and to the other a large meeting the rotary clubs, which just in the hotel took place. Therefore ... the hotel was also fully booked. The many guests one noticed however not, there was no bottlenecks to the meal times yet other Impairments Our room had a view of the garden and the Bodnath stupa and was very spacious and well equipped. Through the dark, heavy furniture seemed a bit antiquated but the style suited the ancient building. TV, telephone, mini bar, tea and Kaffekochmöglichkeit, as well as a hair dryer in the very luxurious suite were available The breakfast buffet also left nothing to be desired. Only the system of Eierbestellung is in need of improvement. One ordered his Eierwünsche with a employees at the show cooking counter, describes about his seat and then should at the table are served. This has however at 100% not work; we had to every time our egg dishes re-order. The buffet in the evening I thought it was very good, albeit with about 20 euro not cheap. The selection of dishes was not huge, but the quality was very good. Especially the desserts seemed really homemade and not mix powder touched. Since we are on a 10-day Trekking tour, wanted, we left our main baggage for this period in the hotel store. This service has been provided free of charge. From the hotel garden runs an almost car-free way in about 10 to 15 minutes to the Bodnath Stupa. From here you can either on foot in 30 minutes or for 2 euro with the taxi another large sanctuary; Pashupatinath, reach. The location the Hyatt hotels so for these two sights optimal. An oasis of peace and comfort in apart from that completely chaotic Kathmandu. I had the hotel on a Hotelbuchunsvermittlung about 10 months booked in advance and found the room price of 120 euro for the offered comfort really reasonable. read more

One introdution: the hotel is a Hyatt, but not with Western hotels in the chain comparable. However, the Hyatt is in my opinion a good opportunities in kathmandu to stay. Nepal is a third world country. The is reflected also in the hotel again. But the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and safe. Approximately to the hotel is a large garden, is a security guard at the entrance. The pool is quite large, the gym OK. The spa services are relatively cheap. The food in the hotel is good, you can eat it without hesitation. Unfortunately the menu ... is relatively well arranged. Actually we wanted to stay four days, but due to the volcano it were two weeks. We have unhs to every time felt comfortable. Should we go to KTM is the Hyatt again in the closest choice. read more
