We stayed at the thala beach our honeymoon started. The hotel is magnificent. The complex consists of loud individual bungalows, spread out in the rainforest the hotel. Thus one lives absolutely calmly and for itself. The rooms are comfortable big and very nicely furnished. There is no stress marks. In the morning you from the parrots woke us up. The windows are all with mückengitter without holes provided. The whole complex is very original and well maintained. The beach (oak beach) is a paradise. Most of the time we were alone there or 1-2 other couples and the, although the ... hotel to 2/3 was occupied. A beautiful fine sandy beach in a long bay, the rainforest is enough to to the beach. A more beautiful beach i have never experienced something like that. The restaurant is very recommendable, if expensive. The breakfast with a view of the slope over the bay, with bathers parrots in a fork, is unfortunately very expensive with 27 $per person only the buffet (egg dishes cost extra). At noon there are details. The dinner is really delicious and one gönnt itself wasn't anything else. If the too expensive is, the port Douglas drive (around 15 to 20 minutes ) there, there are numerous restaurants, supermarket and pubs. Port Douglas is also the only possible abendgestalung next to a bottle of wine on the balcony, or, of course, the hotel bar. Excursions in the surrounding environment with rental car easy. (port Douglas, mossman gorge, daintree national.) The service and the kindness of the staff is top. From the front desk with a cocktail, luggage service, valet parking, over the stay in the restaurant for questions at the front desk to the check out (you left the room and bags in its car at the front desk again) In short: the week at the thala beach hotel was to us an absolute dream in beautiful surroundings and for every recommendable the it once really good me. read more

Every guest has his lodge with terrace. You are in the rainforest, everything is green and the birds singing. After a long trip Australia just the right place to unhitch. The staff are here especially kind, you have the feeling you are in friends and bar welcome. The entire area is a dream. The food was magnificent and the breakfast buffet one-time good. Of course, everything has its price. But you get a bit! read more

The hotel is fully in the forest and consists of a central complex with reception, restaurant, bar and pool as well as several apartments, the than huts on stilts the wide area spread out. As a first class hotel not used to something else the rooms are clean and the staff Unaffected friendly and courteous. The charm of the hotel make a lot of details, so the solved if they'd but some kind which is rarely used directly in front of the open-air restaurant, your own little observatory, eclectic Kokosnussverkostungen and the little yellow Sunbird, looking for a nest at ... the front desk. The hotel's private beach all clichà near the South Seas, including palm trees. From 5 nights breakfast was included, evening, you can relax by it is not cheap, but very good menu cycle through. If you want to eat in Port Douglas at different times during the day (free there and back) driven evenings there was a taxi necessary. Tours in the rainforest, to the Great Barrier Reef or to the many other attractions with no additional charge (large variety of excursions and activities), you'll be mostly free picked us up and brought us to the hotel. read more

The apartments seem mainly in it that the view from the veranda either under the Baumlinie (view into the forest) or above (sea view) is located. All max 5 mins walk from the restaurant. The rooms are large with polished wooden floors (teak? ), Air conditioning, ceiling fan, large bathroom (shower and bath) and large windows overlooking the patio/balcony. All other windows by wooden slats close, but in principle featuring an open and insect screens. The TV you need not really, because the sounds of the forest (Vogelstimmen) are perfect.

Excellent kitchen (not cheap), but small card (therefore only 5 suns). Especially delicious desserts.

  • Service

Fast, low key and unobtrusive. Some "work & travel" students in the service, all very nice and very well trained.

  • Sport & Entertainment

2 Pools, one directly at the main building with grotto and several floors and the other a little further to the outlying apartments quick access to a refreshment (rock pool).

The hotel is located in its own Regenwaldbucht near Port Douglas. We drove through ago coconut plantation and small rainforest to the main one, where restaurant, reception and bar are. The twist of the hotel: The buildings are on stilts partly in the part built above the rainforest. The architecture is therefore probably practically unique. The quality and cleanliness is the 5 * . Guests are mostly young honeymooners and betuchtes public of all nations. read more

Private bungalow with balcony amidst the rainforest or on the rainforest raised as they are. They have no-frills place that offers you expect for a 5 star. We had a cheaper suite the rainforest. If you are looking for more for a treat yourself with sea view. The paths are great the rainforest laid out. Running lazy make sure you haven't hesitate to/from the beach.

Breakfast: We used the buffet for 25 AUD D had everything you could want. Only the eggs were partly, due to the few guests cold, but were immediately upon request new songs. Hot we ordered never but comfortable. Lunch: Is there Lunchkörbe with most exclusive content for 35 $ D per person. We Used was INDULGENCE at breakfast; -), never. Dinner: about 6 specials from the chef and about 10 main courses which I personally not enough, but sufficient and furnished to a very high true. about 40 AUD D. It gives you a great sea view in the tree canopy the eucalyptus for food.

There are beautiful in the "rain forest" integrated pool and with Krotte. Bar with a good view of the ocean and delicious Kokoscocktails, 2 private beaches and internet. Wellness is in the own spa. Disco and other Pauschalreisenunterhaltung: none! But the was not lacking in the romantic hotel.

The location is (see above) out of Port Douglas and therefore isolated. If you went to this hotel will decide for romantic and luxurious days and for excursions for example if necessary. In the middle oldest rainforest of the world. Cairns airport is about 60 km away and Port Douglas about 10km (estimated). The car is parked on its own parking. Hotel bay from $16 for a bus to Port Douglas. There were a lot of excursion possibilities: RAINFOREST safaris, Great Barrier Reef and many offers on site. Price: tours on site are much cheaper and easily booked. The hotel prices starting at 250 AUD D (approx. €130 ) to all inclusive in the suite (priceless). Breakfast was in the hotel for 25 AUD D (approx. 13 €) and dinner for about 40 AUD D.
