Great holiday! Gladly again! Weather, beach and hotel area were in a very clean condition. The only drawback in our opinion, not so good animation in the evening. But was in the neighboring hotel always something going on. The quality of the pool was super. read hotel review

So since i was already 5 times in this resort, i must say that the food in diversity, look and taste very had diminished! As this is also not 5 stars and no Riu standard am i entschulss came the area not to go there again! What a pity ☹ read hotel review

An older hotel which were very recommendable. As i said, many dominicans over the weekend, but if you don't necessarily always point 7 have to eat out, and you don't have to be at the pool, the hardly something. Service of the hotel is really great in all areas. Food is varied and something for everyone. The entertainment i can't rate, since i had this in the holiday never use. From what i have seen is not necessarily my taste, but animations are the whole day. The beach is large and there were enough pool chairs, as well as shade ... available. But definitely take flip-flops. I recommend to anyone recommend this hotel, if you don't expect luxury. read hotel review

In this hotel everything is really for the guests done what the service was concerned. The bartenders are not only friendly, but cordial with the guests around, every wish was from our eyes. You need not new to order, if the glass almost empty stands already unasked a new beer before. Even to the beach the waiters a few and bring the drinks to the pool chair. The selection of cocktails is huge, but most of them were very sweet and not to everyone's taste. The animation is less interesting, too loud, too aggressive and fairly unimaginative. The evening shows ... of dance and magiern, however, are of the highest quality, as everything is done for the guests with mild to hold. The food is diverse, there is something for everyone there also always freshly squeezed juices, a good wine. The meat is not everyone's thing and beef was tough as hockey puck, and lots of garlic, but that must decide everyone. For the excursions was always again pointed out in the reviews, that too expensive in the hotel TUI offered and it for example with through www. extratours would be cheaper. It is not true, you can't compare apples with oranges. You have to the benefits and compare this is the relation. The beach is clean and tidy, there were enough pool chairs available and they are in good condition and cleaned regularly, as well as the whole garden area. We do not know, as the hotel to the number of stars. We were already in lower grade hotels, the much better. Not only, we instead of the village in garden landed, we experienced only locally, that the village due to a lack of occupancy is closed. We stayed with the staff spoke, the us declared, that the village generally only from november until march opened. Of course, we went sour, since we the garden never would have booked. We wanted peace and ended up in mallorca. It was hard to keep everything clean. Be careful with the wicker chairs ... in the lobby and at the bar! The are regularly with wooden glaze?     Size of the room ok. Mini bar available, the sporadically filled up. Old tv, but who wants tv on holiday look? Bed was ok. For our taste not too soft and not too hard.

    For our taste it was nothing. The main restaurant was way too full, it formed long queues. The food wasn't acceptable. In the morning, old rolls, white bread before hour already cut was. Butter and jam were constantly at other places. Food luke warm, strangely the pizza, the fresh from the oven came. The food was very typical for the country. Luckily the fruit. Coffee took some getting used to. Atmosphere as in the station restaurant.

    Friendly staff we found, the also a little german or english. Not a problem for us, we could always communicate with them somehow. Our maid was great, but that was the only positive.     Sport we couldn't rate, we wanted to holiday ☺ We really wanted to go snorkeling, but from lack of fish we leave. The vacation was generally good-but only from mon-fri. - because on the weekend there were the dominicans in droves-the last time there were 9 00-it was just too much. These people can't behave and as the pigs behaved. The restaurants were dirty and crowded-the kids were hanging with the heads in the chest and the normal tourists could not use. There were cups and trash lying aroung. The changing rooms and showers at the beach were so dirty, that you do not more to use. Furthermore, the locals with clothes in the pool and on the morrow it was locked. ... It was unacceptable in this hotel at weekends its vacation to spend, because you had not retreat-everywhere only crowds without manners. To top it all was then the travel agent not seen and complaints at the front desk were useless. A letter to the TUI with the words answered-you have to live with it and the management can decide, whether and at whom the not booked rooms will be assigned. Complain we would have with the travel guide must-but what if no place is and you at the front desk disposed of will. It is simply sad as you from 1-2-fly does. Also a personal complaint with the manager to no avail. From mon-fri. Everything was ok. - the staff very accommodating and helpful - the food in the main restaurant good-the room always clean and tidy and the beach great. The 14 april until 31 april in the RIU Merengue for the 5. time village (well, with us there will always be the Mambo be ☺ ). Yes, what should you the 5 time write?! One can imagine, then you probably will be happy, and recommend the hotel can! And we do so! This hotel is really in our eyes to exceed (as the three hotels can be used and how the complex arranged). The beach is really nice, and never crowded. Ok, if you Karibik beach-please Punta Cana go. The staff is very (very) helpful and always friendly! And ... you love german, forget just the you in the dominican republic is and not in the Hilton in Abu Dhabi! Please take not too much and forget not that you on vacation since do not too much stress with complaints. In my experience, there is always the german, about everything and everyone upset. Complaints are okay, if also proper reasons! I don't complain, when the electricity or the warm water one hour one. We were in the dominican republic ☺ and it can also happen. And if one should weight, the complaints immediately after gone so that every guest satisfied. Should sometimes not work, went to the 2. director, mr. Sousa. The worries about everything and everyone. A competent director, the with the guests bypasses, there is think not again. On the subject, with many wrote: too many americans, canadians or english. I think not! There are always many as, and these are to 99 percent nice and funny and always the conversation with other. Thus, burden you time them. It is worthwhile! This hotel is absolutely not recommendable, we had the RIU Merengue booked, was overbooked and had to in Riu merngue village move in. The organizers TUI should actually the guests before the local visitors warn. We were unlucky and had over easter, we had known, that in this period the season of the dominicans was, we would not be in the cathedral. Republic flown. It was a disaster. One had already at 11:30 o'clock at the buffet are, for food, so it was the whole day, whether food or drink. In the hotel were about 80 germans and about ... 60 canadians. Dominicans were so about 900 for one week, no holiday in sight. Only stress. The information of the TUI travel agency was as well. The travel on the sunday again all from. Only the then from thursday new come no one has mentioned. The hotel was in the years 1999-2002 a TUI fabulous hotel, it got even a TUI award. As mentioned 1999-2002. I had a suite and a double room in a star hotel and no sleazy hotel, the cleaning only sporadically, the bed was only once changed, the towels were every day were changed but the smell of the towels was unbearable, the mini bar was only every 4 day refilled and with a Pepsi light a Pepsi a beer and two water. The salad buffet was full of mosquitoes, the food almost not to enjoy. At lunch there were boiled pig's trotters, chicken halfway through, burgers and fries. Probably this is it for the locals the in the hotel were, because the had the plates edge fully. To three days even the main restaurant closed, it was only open in the evenings. Breakfast and lunch was there then only at the pool bar, na great. According to the TUI travel agency, because the hotel is not fully booked, from cost reasons the main restaurant not stay open. The hotel in general was very nice. Beautiful palmengarten. As you the other hotels or area with use, it is always on the way. The rooms are big enough. Unfortunately, it was already. There was no hair dryer in the room. For some maybe not of importance, for me already. Hello? Five star! The beds we just had to austauchen leave! The were completely storied or moldy. Smell also. After the bettenwechsel was not any longer so much floor by the bed, but i wonder why i constantly small terribly itchy spot had! The was actually bed bugs. Great, i ... thought. So what must not be! Like other already wrote everything is very old. We really liked the food. Was always something delicious. The beach is also wonderful. Because of the very many palm trees there is always a get shade. Of course also here everything with some tip faster. Do nothing. There are mainly canadians in the hotel.     Klimmanlage worked only in the afternoon. Well, they were actually anyway most of the time at the beach or better on the way. Mini bar was okay. The cleaning ladies gave itself trouble correctly. The didn't simply! Balcony was beautifully large.

Have to say, really am positively surprised. The people from the hotel were extremely friendly really great. Hotel was also very nice, old but nice. What i found it a shame the food what good in terms of taste but there was always the same. And the beach did not please me, because there are too many seaweed and too many leaves of palm trees. I would say that it really nice is in this hotel and also in this place. But who a dream holiday i would not recommend it. However as normal holiday it was enough perfectly. read hotel review

Overall the hotel is recommendable. The furniture has already gotten a bit old. The cleanliness in the hotel and the room was good. The food variety in the buffet restaurant could varied arranged, as it is every two days. But you will find everyday something delicious to eat. In the all in all were the employees concerned to fulfill every wish. The evening entertainment was to our taste very boring. The travel guide of 1.2 fly & TUI locally has no very motivated impression leave. It was only on the sales of excursions carefully. Your comments on the trips ... were there however not the facts. Not recommendable the trip to the ' bacardinsel and the visit of the water fall el limon '. Completely overpriced and a pure mass processing! read hotel review

It was a great vacation, you always remembers. The beach was beautiful, however the sea was very busy, because often times violently rained. Otherwise, we much experienced and many beautiful day trips. Shops limited to numerous souvenir stores which anyway all the same offer. For christmas/ new year's eve ... were about 2000 (two thousand ) russians in the hotel. Foreign languages skills directly nothing. Of course these reception arrogance as you worldwide finds. Minibar is 2 times weekly filled, for some tourists it is perhaps important, that despite all inclusive also in the minibar 4 gal alcohol in the room are available!     The staff is generally english, little german was understood. The waiters were always friendly, were but also in my opinion on manned, so that they were not lots to do had, since as mentioned above the complex partly still in a deep slumber. The welcome on the next day we were not informed, that we in the fair main RIU Merengue garden were accommodated. All guests, which the RIU Merengue village had, were without comment in the larger Merengue garden unit. This hotel so cramped, that we on the day of departure, the by the travel agents offered extension of the ... room to 6 hours a '10 Dollar, was not possible. So we all had to 12:00 a. m. to the pick-up at 20:00 o'clock in warm clothes on the complex persevere. Offered from the reception for all a shower possibility in a room is at the end the big area. We chose to have it, us in the toilet to move. Frazit in 10 years holiday in the cathedral. Republic worst service by the hotel management! There are much better hotel areas. read hotel review
