Our room had a large mold, the toilet worked very rarely, shower had only cold water and the powerful shower came trickled. The mattress pointed out lots of dark stains on. Floors were clean, bed sheets also, towels were dirty. Bathroom was moldy. read more

    Floors were clean, bed sheets also. However the hand towels were dirty, we had widespread mold in the room. We had the room with air-conditioning booked, should then but this still pay, 5 euros per night, after many discussions we have this. Furniture were ancient, partly. From different epochs, broken. Balcony was nice, color peeled. Mini bar there was not.

    The cooks were very hard, it reasonable to cook, but it was three days in a row the same. The fried fish tasted rancid oil, the chicken was dry. Rarely there was salad. The atmosphere was due to the terrible restaurant atmosphere terribly. Here there was the sea view. Drink tea, the coffee was disgusting!

    The staff at the hotel was very friendly and always make an effort wishes (toilettenreparatur etc.) Implement, complaints edit, but in a dump and without material is difficult. The front desk spoke english and german. Waiter spoke very bad english.

The hotel is located in south of hikkaduwa and was for sure not bad, although these days long past. In terms of size rather small hotel with two floors, with the rooms only in the two wings are. The rooms are very spartan and would have urgently a renovation necessary. The furniture is old and in worn out condition. About the guest structure- while we were there, there were very many germans since, about one third of russian. Age-mixed, from studentenpärchen to retirees-all in about the same ratio represented.     The rooms are really big, and the balcony room of the left wing offer almost all with a grand view of the ocean with a great sunset. Lots of guests on the ground floor but very high humidity and thus musty smell complained. Of the hotel is small, and somewhat older. The staff members were all nice and accommodating. As it was not full occupied, was always a sun lounger free. The beach fine sand, is beautiful and directly in front of the hotel. The sea has almost always high waves, what the quiet swimming impossible. If you quiet water wishes, I can make a trip for example after unawatuna recommend, there to protect lying off rock the direct beach. The hotel is simply, as in Sri Lanka usually, this means no tv, fridge and air conditioning in the room. But the TV ... in the lobby was often enough for me (and my program) free. Wiki there is in the beach bar directly next to it. The Sunil is at the end a whole row of beach bars, guesthouses and hotels. The dinner is quickly monotonous, but you have a wide choice from restaurants at the beach for cheap to eat out. I had bad luck, since the railway line from hikkaduwa to Colombo was interrupted. For people with smaller expectations ideal, because the hotel is already getting a bit old. A shabby 30 year old hotel, in which only the coerced repaired. When checking in this was booked by me room with a view of the sea not available. However, that appears system, as several new arrivals once one or two nights in rooms on the side of the street (very loud) were accommodated. Only after long-drawn-out Discussion was a room for me prepared. The staff are friendly (certainly before the background, that tip flows ), but the Authority leaves much to be desired. The food is monotonous, evenings always small buffet, but hardly any varies. Lunch (I had booked ... full board) is limited to a few food, to choose from. In short: A cheap hotel for people with few expectations -but you can instead of pre-booked hotels at any time rooms at guest houses book (the mostly better than the in the hotel ) and in restaurants to eat- pricewise make a difference. read more

In front of the hotel Sunils beach is a great beach. But unfortunately this hotel in the condition not promised: The food was the choice was very poor, both in the breakfast, as well as the Abendbrotbüfee. For a hotel that about 30 years old, it is still reasonably maintained. Investitionsstau in is however available. For 2 stars but OK. Breakfast is adequate. 60 rooms with warm water and sometimes air conditioning. Meanwhile also lots of Russian guests. read more

If you didn't have any luxury demands this hotel is due to its location really good. Above all, the staff was really super friendly and helpful. Is not a three star hotel to sleep and shower AER food simply fabulous. We were especially for the country and its people. As it looks like we will be back next year here. read more

The price/performance ratio is good, a two star hotel, nice, helpful staff. We had a great time there, the beach location was great for the hotel. We will be again there travel. read more

I was very disappointed. Already the check-in the friendliness left in Asia other typical miss. The staff was helpful and went on complaints not as good as not one. The restaurant was not well maintained, only after ten days were changed for the first time, the table cloths. In addition to this ick factor (festgeklebte leftovers of other guests) gave me the quality and taste of the food were indefinable the food the rest, everything looked somehow the same and it tasted absolutely not; very different outside of the hotel, where also very tasty was so simple. If you board ... bay, should not order, what more than three euros, in other words the sandwiches and chicken has the choice between you. Very sad, after the other restaurants in hikkaduwa excellent sea courts offer. Better look for another what! read more

Nice quiet room with view on the sea. We have recovered well us and have enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. We can recommend the hotel without doubts further, because it is a two star hotel. read more

Unfortunately the hotel was definitely not our idea of a 'basic' hotel! Ants in the completely outdated and in need of renovation bathroom rusty '' (shower curtain separated from the toilet), torn and dirty pool towels, disco noise from the adjoining beach bar in room, room furnishings seemed in Germany a Hostel or student housing. You get from the staff marijuana and you should be careful with the bill at the pool bar: drinks (if they are available, for us it was a day no beer-no it was not full moon) to be doubly charged like (we were no isolated ... incident)! In comparison to the other two star hotels are the two star everything else than justified! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in the! read more

Beach and sea are simply fantastic-very clean. Swimming pool also. Then I also wanted to sleep-simply impossible. The mattresses are soft foam from only, with the material. Foam is very warm, so I me in the oven as the filled. The fan had only a Geschwindligkeit (the fastest) had, therefore, unusable. I was only a night there, but slept less than a minute. Otherwise there is but everything was great, the staff, service, etc. read more
