Having been in the InterContinental Resort Mauritius for one week I have to commend the resort for outstanding aspects concerning my stay there: an attentive reception, a wonderful room (where admittedly it probably helps to be a long time member of the group's free customer relations program called Priority Club) and a perfect resort with, believe it or not, 4 different theme restaurants in which the half board packages are mostly credited in a very generous way unknown to me from other places. The main breakfast and buffet diner hall could be a touch brighter and/or with more attractive interior ... design but, again, very good buffet food and a dedicated staff make you still feel comfortable. Special highlights in the resort's evening entertainment are the huge open air party buffet diners in an attractive on-the-beach atmosphere - heaps of work before and after the event for the staff. The internet (WIFI with a router in my room) worked well - different from many other expensive hotels worldwide where the rates are sometimes ridiculous and sadly the WIFI reception is, too. Management is always present, attentive, charming and thus also provides a good host and hospitality model to their staff. So alltogether a very nice place run with much professionalism and dedication from everybody involved, where you feel appreciated and all that in a wonderful resort ambience. read more

We had the first time christmas in the 'south' spent. It was simply dreamlike. As we already arrived, the lobby, the view of the see etc. The service the intercontinental was terrific and simply not to exceed. The buffet for breakfast in the main restaurant left nothing to be desired. Senso restaurant we have really enjoyed, as you here completely relaxed and in all peace breakfast. Especially but the varied evening buffet enthusiastic. The food was heavenly. Especially the fish and the seafood, the indian and asian offer, the desserts. Just about everything was perfect. The very friendly staff was ... sensational. She were all very friendly, accommodating and very helpful, which one in Germany often very much missed. Especially arnaud, Kevin and Kathrin (catherin ) at the front desk and Sam and arvin at the cocosbar at the beach have cared for us cared. Also the other staff were always very accommodating and friendly (gardener, housekeepers etc.) The rooms were very lovingly with flowers. Every day we found other artwork on our beds. We felt like we were 'king'  Although the complex was fully booked, we found always vacant chairs at the beach or by the pool. It was everything is so spread out, that one not at all the feeling had, that the hotel was fully booked. The location of the hotel is for all recommendable, the a relaxing and quiet beach vacation prefer. All rooms had view of the sea and the hotel was directly at the beach. Especially for our kids it was a dream. You have felt very comfortable and wanted not any more home. Although the hotel a bit off the beaten path from the center is (the you know yes, before you a hotel bay) can you enough excursions undertake. Besides there are at the beach enough leisure offers, like for instance diving, water skiing etc. The vacation was so perfect. We would like to again for the lovely time and will one day again to Maritius return. read more

We were thrilled, such a vacation we had never! The staff's hospitality was great (for example wore the waiters even the plates of the score to table). All of the staff were always make an effort, a to fulfill every wish. If you are in the other restaurants of the hotel had booked, was the total package (ambiance, food, etc.) Great. Hi, we had a deluxe rooms with half board. At first I was skeptical, as I the reviews little fear made, but afterwards I must say, totally unfounded! The rooms were very tastefully decorated and clean! The food was very good, too good-) always fresh and various themes buffet and there were still many other restaurants to choose from. The staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating! Which I with drawbacks said: room - everything was great, just it was a light bulb burned out or a lamp depends on a bit crooked, nothing to upset, I think and ... not at all for the price! Staff: -very friendly however sometimes a bit disorganized, but what they again wet with their friendliness:-) read more

    The rooms are very tastefully decorated and large. They are clean. The room to and for itself is in a good state, only in the detail it unfortunately somewhat... The floor in the bathroom a bit shabby or a lamp is wrong or a light bulb not working... But these are all things, where one disturb or not. I found it for the price super and was very positively surprised. Five star it is perhaps not, but 4 + in any case! There is a German channels, ZDF otherwise English or french, a huge screen in the living room and a in the bathroom. Coffee/ tea you can also in the room make, it is every day water provided free of charge.

    There are 4 different restaurants, all of which you can use, no matter wether only breakfast or half board or or or... The food is very tasty and fresh, the choice is crazy and the variety also. If you don't all inclusive has, one should watch out, since a lot imported, is for example wine quite expensive, beer, rum and cocktails again cheap :-) tip wasn't expected, but gladly seen, if you are, you will on the next day still treated better ;-)

    Now it depends on, what you are looking for. I prefer it quiet and unobtrusive, it was and I thought it was great! But there are various sports possibilities or extra charge, also water ski and the whole everything is there to :-) there are 2 pools, both are cleanly and very beautifully designed! There is enough chairs, sun screens and towels for everyone in the pool and sea! In the stunning lobby you have internet free and there are also several shops...

    The location is great, directly at the beach. There are 3 beach sections and you never get the feeling from mass tourism, very nice! Bathing shoe are definitely recommendable, it is a wonderful sandy beach and the water clear, but there is rock/ stonefish, therefore I would in any case bathing shoe carry forward. The hotel offers even ausflugspackete to, and at the beach there are three beach vendors (always the same) however not pushy at all, quite on the contrary! You could get along with German nowhere further, English or french a must! But if today to days not a topic, the mature generation comes with the usual flosskeln well over the rounds :-) over the whole day distributed, at 7 days the week, from morning to night a entertainment program, from table tennis, volleyball to themanbüfetts, live singing etc. Everything... At variety it does not lack. The transfer to/from to the airport takes about 1 hour.

We have 10 days - unfortunately - spent in this hotel and all only advise against! Two roaches, and spiders on a dirty room is good for a hotel the price an absolute insolence! The breakfast you could not in peace to take, without that you not to a flock of birds, has been under attack! Only the friendly staff spoke only a little bit of calm... Once and never again! read more

Better equal the Maritim Hotel in the neighborhood book. We had the direct comparison, after we because of an Indian wedding and therefore conditional complete overbooking into the Maritim moved. read more

No 5-star -quality, definitely not. The beach offers hardly any the possibility, direct into the water to go, really swims is here not possible. For families with badefreudigen children completely inadequate. If you want to unlimited entrance to the sea were suitable à la Karibik-Advertising hopes, is bitter disappointed. Who merely at the beach beach chairs and not in the sea swim, OK. Furthermore come in the hotel many very large and loud groups under, because the hotel the city's largest ballroom the island has. Consequently, it tourists here honestly hard, peace to find. The staff are very hard-working, but ... unfortunately very badly trained and sufficed definitely not international five stars standard. On the first glance seems the hotel okay to be, but in the detail it in every corner and end. A great shame and the money unfortunately not worth. read more

The food in the main restaurant is more than to desire, extremely much service staff, nevertheless no good service, spraying from mosquito-Exterminator (by the restaurants) shortly before the dinner! Cleanliness in the bathroom leaves much to be desired - especially a Naßpflege of soil indexed. Check inDuration much too long. Were only after repeated Ask informed, that we 3 hours in the lobby to sit. A shuttle busThe service in the capital would be a good innovation for bad weather at short notice Ausflugsoptionen to offer. Reservations in the restaurants a bit confused, no Reservierungsannahme despite free places. In the ... main restaurant the hasty service a nice evening not possible. The bill will be immediately after the cleared presented. All inclusive says not all inclusive (Pepsi in the price for the journey included, Coca-Cola not)-this is but not notified. Through and through a slightly not particularly good, a little work points of criticism and a good vacation there is nothing more in the way. read more

Beautiful generous laid out facilities. As we could tell, all room with a view of the sea. The hotel and the garden area are very tidy. In the hotel are all verpflegungsvarianten bookable, in all-inclusive there is no small band at the arm, so you have to each visit to the dining facilities (bar or restaurant) with name and room number quit. The check in takes place only from 14 o'clock instead, depending on the quantity of angekommenden guests it is in a few hours protract. So a deduction. read more

    Very spacious room, a large bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The hotel is nor relatively new accordingly also the condition of the room. The room features tv, safe, air conditioning, wasserkocker, hair dryer, balcony and mini bar(for a fee). The only thing we as absolute no-go regarded, were the stains overlooked white hand and bath towels, as well as bed sheets. That's why only 5 matters of 6.

    The selection and quality the food was our opinion very good. Something there for every taste. In the hotel there was four official restaurants, a buffet restaurant with daily changing dishes and three à la carte restaurant(resierviering necessary), but we who could not find. The hotel had two bars, a lobby-bar and a pool bar(very tasty cocktails).

    The service staff in the bars and restaurants was very slow. If someone has interest in it, the movement sequence the people in slow motion to see, is in good hands here, but if you just thirsty of a walk on the beach comes you will find the not at all funny. At the bar counter you completely ignored, you have to at the table sit down and wait until you were served. Cleaning of the rooms rather satisfying. The staff speaks only english and french.

The Bednieungen speak rather with themselves than with the guests and unfortunately it is true... It become Indian guests preferred-tables reserved -Couches reserved - drinks preferentially. And the Bay has a pool character... Therefore only moderately rated... The beach is a completely better coral beach... So no sandy beach... Also here unfortunately deductions...

Many faults, in a five star hotel not should be! Already during the check in we had to after the overnight flight from 9 hours until 15 o'clock on our room wait, although the hotel was not fully booked! Often missing towels, toilet paper, hair dryer in the hand explodes, air conditioning canceled... And so on! The food had no 5-star standard. Also the beach was only with Bandeschuhen to celebrate. We wait today the written confirmation of map of the hotel, these whole flaws said and he promised the matter to adopt! We would definitely not this hotel recommend. read more

At first glance the lovely area and full facilities but not well-kept and the furnishing run down room and decor OK. Upholstery on the furniture and the bathroom was filthy- black mold in the entire shower area and on the ceiling. breakfast buffet an impertinence- rotten tables are provisional containers fruit, yoghurt, muesli, sausage and cheese without any Cooling offered. The dishes were covered only temporarily and corresponding there were plenty of small Fly covered. the chairs and tables in the buffet the restaurant are in very poor condition-full of bird dirt, cushions were missing completely and the table are ... because of totally unstable and lack of glass unsteady. the culinary highlight the theme buffet ' Caribbean night '-were grilled hot dog sausages and mini burgers read more

for our stay were 460 guests in the two-story, modern and very well maintained hotel complex (maximum occupancy: 500 guests) and nevertheless you are never on hecticness, Crowds or even noise trip advisor. It was always a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space for privacy. the majority of the guests came from France or the Indian area. Other nationalities you met only occasionally at. the beach in three small Bays and, even though the few beach chairs in a pleasant distance from each other were you got to everyone time of day a free beach chair. Who peace and relaxation ... between trips and island-actions are looking for, is right at home here. Who however rabid clean is, should here far remain. We liked the'comfortable' atmosphere and the fantastic all around service( drinks and snacks were gladly the whole day to the beach chair brought) so very enthusiastic, that without any effort over a few Vogelspuren on the beach chairs or to late way removed dishes at the beach way could see. Just not everything exaggerated perfect was, made the stay in an otherwise gladly times stiff five star hotel the luxury-class so wonderfully Ungewungen and normal! read more

    the rooms are simply beautiful! They are spacious, modern and chic furnished and clean. The beds are pleasant high and incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms with a separate toilet and shower very good elaborate. On the large TV flat screen allows you to watch TV, listen to music and surf the Internet. Every room is with a view of the sea equipped. tip for view of the sea-Fans: Asks when booking a room on the second floor; because of the high palm trees garden area you usually only there for a 'real' view of the see! the minibar is (also in all inclusive-guests) basically not stocked, but only on request at a charge filled. You get however every day fresh water on the room provided. We also had no problems, the drinks from the bar to the room to take, as long as the staff given, the glasses go back to the hotel. So you could take in the sunset inclusive cocktail also on your own balcony enjoy... (... Don't forget to use mosquito repellent ☺

    There is a main restaurant ( buffet-Form) and three very nice À La Carterestaurants (seafood restaurant, Chinese and Oriental restaurant). It meant that the individual restaurants never crowded. We had booked all inclusive and could therefore free after short advance notification in the à-la-carterestaurants a three-coursemenu enjoy. All restaurants were excellent! The hotel aligns congresses and locals Weddings from. During our stay both were the case, so that the kitchen in the main restaurant very typical of the country oriented. The dishes were so multi-faceted, that one always something new but quite tasty found.

    the staff were throughout friendly and helpful. The Communication in English was without any problems, German less to not at all understood. We had on arrival a broken hair dryer, the rapidly and discreet was repaired.     You could many free Watersports use (glass bottom boat trip, snorkel excursions, water skiing, sailing etc.). Also here was the staff very friendly and helpful. around the large, quite centrally located pool are two beautiful Jacuzzis laid out, the one without any problems also times completely alone with its partner and a nice Drink (pool bar in the immediate area...) undisturbed could enjoy. The pool itself never smelt of annoying chlorine, but felt always really clean. At the pool bar for safety reasons only plastics-glasses published. Everyone should understand, not gladly barefoot in glass shall enter into force, and you used to itself really quick point. the beach chairs and cushions at the beach meadows already or other Blessur on, such as consumer goods under the open sky already once to be the case. The beach with the artificial lagoon very optically attractive laid out. Only for schwimmhungrige guests it is rather disappoint. Here is just a little splash and cooling possible. Also the snorkeling is the beach section little attractive. Tip: it is 100 meters to the right around the corner, you will find small Bays, the Indian ocean again all honour and to the extensive swimming and snorkeling invite. all freshly gelandeten guests: have particularly in the first two days the highest respect for the intense sun!

    the hotel lies around an hour's drive away from the airport and quite secluded. Except one walk on the beach the two neighboring hotels (note: direct neighboring hotel is last fall burned down and up summer 2012 rehabilitation) you can in the immediate area not much experience. No shops, no promenade, no bars in spaziergangnähe. With a drivable Vehicle are the distances however not a problem at all. (for orientation: Grand Baie= about 15 minutes drive& Port Louis = about 20 minutes drive) if you don't own car would like to rent (driving!), the 'expensive' hotel taxi in the next town and on the way back a local and significantly cheaper take a taxi. The drivers liked to give their cell phone numbers or business cards out and on every order! They drove the tourists to all sights on the island. Usually there are prices for half or Ganztagestouren. The hotel taxis are about 50% more expensive! To the comparison: just a 15 one-minute drive from the hotel taxi the 12 kilometer away, Grand Baie cost 1200 Rupees. A half from morning 7:45 A. M. until the afternoon 2:00 P. M. in the south with the visit of two destinations cost with a local taxi only 1600 Rupees. You get cheap about the island, as there were in Mauritius plentiful!

Of Al we after the but a bit longer flight and the shuttle (. Http://www de Mauritius-taxi. 40 euros) arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very spacious lobby held first, thanks to your opened architecture the direct view of the sea releases. At the front desk we were concerned to find a place in the lobby lead, where we had a delicious welcome drink and the notification with us immediately and friendly was carried out. Then we were on our suite lead and it was just wow! Very tastefully equipped and with a direct view of ... the sea and three balconies which two visible! The beach is just like the whole area was super well-kept and very spacious. Although the hotel was fully booked, it was very quiet at the beach. The beach chairs were plentiful and available to abounds. Drinks and food were brought directly to the pool chair. Moreover, there was a large pool and a smaller heated pool. For the culinary needs are ample relaxation. You can either at the large buffet in the main restaurant breakfast or a bit more comfortable, a la carte, in the seafood restaurant with a view of the sea. Lunch is also available in these two restaurants. For dinner opens a choice of Indian and Asian restaurant. The choice was made extremely difficult for us all restaurants great service and top service offered. So in a nutshell very delicious were. Since we had only booked breakfast, we had to keep us not on the menu, but the prices were slightly upscale (about 50 euros per person you should plan). The leisure area of wellness, gym, restaurant, several bars, small shopping mall to the boathouse and tennis court. For golf enthusiasts there is in the neighboring hotel a huge large golf course. We especially the boathouse used, where water skiing, snorkeling, glass bottom boat, pedal boats, windsurfers and small sailboats including. The hotel lies unfortunately somewhat isolated, so that one taxi, rental car, Scooter or bicycle dependent on it. The hotel registered taxis are not cheap. Therefore we first bicycles lent, but in the heat of the sun not the cleverste idea. It was with the scooter much better and the trip to grand Baie and pamp Elmo usses was a success. Taxis at the hotel are clearly too expensive, so we went on a trip to the south with our taxi driver from the airport (day trip 65 euros) which was also great. Very recommendable is also a catamaran trip, which we on the beach (also referred to as with Nicolas Kent) had booked us the Bacardi feeling brought. I would particularly like to mention the bar and sugar cane the Barracuda bar. The people who work there have the vacation with its great mixed cocktails were made and their super nice and opened the sort of I-icing on the entire package. Special thanks to Ashley Ravi us! Room not clean. No towels, very many mosquitos in the room. Complaints are not dealt with. Bird Droppings at the buffet and the beach chairs. That spoiled wine. Not directly possibility to go swimming at the beach. read more

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxed vacation you are looking for in Mauritius, is right at home here. Although the hotel was fully booked, you noticed here from nothing and could relax in peace and quiet on the beach. The rooms are great equipped (free-standing bathtub, großern flat screen television with second screen in the bathroom and so on) and very clean. The quality and variety of the food in the various restaurants were very good. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. A special praise goes to the German resort-manager Nico and his team at the ... front desk, to questions and requests a opened Listen and ready to help you were, when we needed help. One was always endeavors, guests a pleasant vacation to be designed. The negative reviews of the hotel we couldn't understand. If you're just looking for deficits, should rather stay at home. Small drawbacks like a broken hair dryer or similar were taken care of immediately. That opened construction the one or the other colorful bird during the day in the dining room lost, is quite normal and Mauritius was for us rather than amüsand annoying. Since almost around the whole island is a coral belt rolls, here as in many other hotels the bathing possibilities limited, but that didn't bother us much. An artificial island laid out the beach was very clean and well maintained and was in our opinion the best in balaclava. We booked with FTI trips to the south, the north and a boat tour on the East Coast. The south and the East Coast were great; the north we would continue with a taxi or rental car on your own. Annoying it was, that you buy in the shops was overpriced, instead of locals shops and markets to visit. Finally, there is a large textile factories in Mauritius, because I do not need a branded imported from Europe and the USA. Here would have FTI a matter that needs urgent attention, as therefor other places came as the botanical garden grand Baie and too short. The weather in November was very pleasant and well tolerable. We only had one rainy day. If you spend a lot of time in the hotel, which we would all-inclusive recommend (beer about five euro, snacks and cocktails about ten Euros.) there is not all food and drinks all-inclusive costs, but the selection was completely sufficient. read more

I'm always reviews of the hotel and went with 'interest' in this hotel. And. i agree with not so easy as good reviews there was just nothing to complain. Everything positive from the beginning. Some points I can't rate as single traveler, the environment was also not so important for me, I enjoyed this week the varied offers of the hotel. Internet Free Wi-Fi on my own netbook. Drinks with half board adequate. Staff friendly, I get the impression, that a cooperative management and the busy with pleasure in their work. So, I am completely satisfied and would recommend this ... hotel totally recommend. read more

The hotel was very dirty. After an initial complaint, there was a room change. Unfortunately, we also have new ones Rooms many dead insects and spiders found alive. The entire hotel is strewn with ants and birds, the everywhere leave Spuhren. In the restaurant there were stray cats and birds feeding, so this again and again attracted. The beautiful pool at the beach was only done by families use with children, therefore, you can get no relaxation. Unfortunately we were in the restaurant again and again several spiders on trip advisor. At the Breakfast was very unpleasant the various fruit ... and yoghurts strewn with mosquitoes to see. The possibilities for excursions produce the desired Wow-emotion. read more
