We had another hotel and became because of overbooking in this hotel accommodated. And at the end of the vacation we had to say what at the start a bit of a nuisance was to our great vacation.
The hotel consists of a main building and a very nice large garden with two-story bungalows. We were in a bungalow and had a great view on the 2., very quiet swimming pool and no traffic noise. The larger swimming pool is in front of the hotel with two water slides. But also there you had even in the afternoon still loungers ... with umbrella received. Although the hotel sometimes was full. Reception area and eating area very big and friendly equipped. The types of people are international, although at the start our vacation, very lots of guests from the eastern european countries were there. The end it has been more mixed. read more

Hotel was only half full, therefore everywhere space filling to the 2 pools and no queues at the buffet. Food was good, was always something delicious for everyone. The soft drinks could have been better. We had a beautiful big room with a balcony. Wonderful view of the beautiful garden and quiet pool. To the beach approximately 200 meters. But one had to a busy street cross, if you the detour through the tunnel not to go wanted. Beautiful sandy beach with individual slabs in the water. read more

Thus according to the reviews the we prior to our trip we had read, we were expecting not the best. But now we must say, that it our expectations not really was. This hotel has in our opinion no 4 stars!
We felt the whole time on uneasy there, it just wasn't comfortable, not in our room yet in the lobby, and only quite not in the dining area. Pure cafeteria feeling, not decorated or otherwise somehow nicely decorated. To eat only really short: we didn't like it, it is being repeated everything and tasted pretty bland. The room was ... in need of renovation and the cleanliness also left to be desired, only a example: the bed sheet was slightly with blood smears, rather than to change it, it was just to foot back turned around.
Everything else was ok. The pool was reasonable, the distance to the beach about 2 minutes ( however on the big national road ), shops in the village of kavros approximately 10 to 15 minutes away. Excursions you can on the tour operator book, apart from that by pub Provider. It is worthwhile really needs something to do, the scenery is wonderful. Otherwise the Cities Rethymnon and Chania worth seeing and easy reachable by bus. All together we had nevertheless a wonderful vacation, one must make best out of it and in the hotel you anyway the least amount of time on. read more

The vacation on Kreta was great, the hotel is in a very good location to excursions to make. The national street in front of the hotel we did not like, however there is a other way to the beach, which about 300 meters away from the hotel is. The rooms are big and thoroughly cleaned. We were very satisfied and will go there again. read more

At the time of booking this hotel it was very positive Criticisms and when we finally were there we saw the lots of negative Criticisms. We do not know what awaited is, but now we can say: the people appear to have a problem. In case a 5 stars luxury hotel expected they had such a thing pay must: /. The food was amazing, typical Greek and very tasty. The drinks very good, the beer cold and the wine very tasty.
The rooms are very comfortable, and are cleaned every day. The pool is clean. The staff speaks good German ... especially the lady at the reception and the waiter Janis in the restaurant also.
All together we had a fantastic and relaxing vacation. read more

Excursions with the hired car have our vacation in such a poor quality hotel saved. We had all-inclusive plus (ultra), but could gain no benefit from it. Everything this subject was already several times mentioned, I can only in many foreign languages. Fitness room is approximately 15 meters² large, air-conditioned, sports equipment dated, rusty and not waited, briefly and scarcely 'suicide' risk. Playground the whole time of day under the blazing sun, have swing and tried myself thereby my 'butt' burned, no shade, possibility for the kids to play unfortunately only evenings given. These are the points which have not ... been described. Do not understand the people the for this hotel still good review when you leave. I am survivor and come with minimum clear but not my family. So not for the money. Look for something else. South of Kreta is not so with tourists will be charged as North, has wonderful beaches as elafonissi or Matala and other wonderful viewpoints like Samaria gorge (not for everyone/children, heat, steep Increases, long distance). Unfortunately is the infrastructure and highway in the South is not as well developed as in the North, many gravel paths rather for the quads or jeeps. Fuel are higher as in Germany, where I was (August) has liter 1.87-1.90 Euro cost, but a small car has nevertheless worth it. read more

The hotel was very good. We spent here very nice time. Variety of food and drinks was sufficient. There were really good evening programs that were created with great animators :-) I would Georgioupolis resort definitely recommend to all ages, couples and families with children. read more

Quiet and beautiful places are only 10 minutes on foot from the restaurants and shops away. The entertainment team was especially good for our small. Every day was 'mini disco'. In case someone rent a car would we can Rethymnon recommend or Cania. The beach was very sandy and the water clean and beautiful. However you have a street to the water to arrive or one goes 400 under the street by. read more

After the reviews from the last month we were a little frightened in this hotel to stay overnight! All in all it was however a very lovely vacation! The food was really good. There was always fresh salad and enough selection of warm dishes (also always something typical)! The only thing which it about the food to complain about, was the partly lukewarm temperature of the 'warm' food. The all-inclusive offer was also completely sufficient.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Long waiting periods at the pool bar we didn't really seen, after termination of the entertainment in the ... evening it could happen that you 5 minutes line up had.
The rooms ( we had a bungalow) were large and clean. Our room had a new Painting gotten, the furniture was somewhat older but OK. The bathroom could complete overhaul use (old mountings, rusty plumbing etc.).
The hotel is at the beach (250 meters.) and nearby are bars and shops. The very nice Georgioupolis is about 4 kilometers away. read more

A hotel, which obviously must save! Unspectacular food, standing in line at the desk, in particular after eating at the pool bar, close dining room in the rush hour, although right next to it in the dome all tables are free, but not manned,. Staff strives fairly, but it naturally lack of motivation! For families with children is the course to the beach not harmless, as a busy arterial road must be crossed!

One sees the hotel in some spots, that it in need of renovation is, but overall you can relax in the area of the hotel feel at home and relax! We were 8 whole days in georgioupolis resort and we we could have a couple of days stayed longer. The staff ( no matter wether at the front desk, in the service or the cleaning crew) was always reliable and nice. Our wishes were always directly implemented respectively information we were always gladly communicated. The two pools are very beautifully designed. At the main pool finds almost the whole day ... a entertainment program instead of, the children it will in any case never boring-) and also for the adults a lot was offered, for example twice daily water aerobics. The second pool is behind the hotel. There you can also right relaxation. It splash always children in the pool, but that is in a family hotel just so! ( who of noise from kids feel disturbed, should not family hotel book!) to the beautiful sandy beach you go at best two minutes! Unfortunately you have a large street cross, but it is also no problem. Again and again is enough time, to the road safe to cross. Otherwise there is also a shuttle bus, the all 2 hours drives (by us one did not use). If you have a water the beach bar buy, the whole day you can use a chair. Each sun screen belong 2 chairs! Unfortunately at the buffet is, that almost no Greek courts to be offered. Every day lunch and evening there was spaghetti, as well as plenty of changing dishes ( fish, Chicken, Turkey, rice, potatoes). Salad is also abundant and very tasty, as well as the desserts. Evenings we sat on the terrace. Unfortunately was the stench ( probably sewage) partly almost unbearable. Every day at 21:00 o'clock is kidsparty and around about 9:30 P. M. begins a entertainment program ( Comedy, Greek Dance, -it gives determines what better). Two times a week ( Tuesday and Friday) is Hawaii beach bar one beachparty ( around 5 minutes away on foot and very funny!). There one gets as' georgioupolis Resortler ' 30% each drinks! Unfortunately was unfortunately the ultra all inclusive for 15 Euro per day per person. However would only the cocktails, as well as the extended breakfast ( until 10:30 o'clock instead of 10:00 A. M.) and the longer service at the pool bar ( until 23,30 instead of 11:00 P. M.) involved defendendo. These points we ran but not from, there are finally also a delicious wine and a delicious cool beer;-) the worst about this hotel were some other guests respectively families, their disputes directly in front of all people dispute had. As my predecessors already wrote, a bar open. Waiting times up to 25 minutes evenings the rule (also for Cola, Fanta and water).
The rooms are not been cleaned properly, the sand long generally on the floor, stains from the bedside table and table were not removed.
Towels were only changed if they on the floor (with us however then daily).
No pets we had no in our room. Air conditioning worked perfectly and was necessary.
The food was OK, one became full. However no Greek specialties.
The beach was really great. The road about you must is to neglect. ... There are enough Gaps between vehicles which one can use for the road to überqueeren.
If you are looking for the überqueeren the beach just down to the beach runs, one comes to a beach bar, the sunbeds and umbrella against a drink to the value of 2, -€ the whole day use.
At the beach you can walk for miles, he consists of beautiful sand with a few small rocks on Wasseranfang. But only about one meter wide. Then you can far walk in and swim.
The temperature when no waves are. If waves come, is just the red flag because of dangerous undercurrents. You can but nevertheless to the belly into the water go.
You want evenings a little go out, then the hotel and right around.
After a kilometre is the next town. There is a very nice cocktail bar. It also includes a mini golf course and a Kinderspielepark. Really very nice and recommendable.
In this place is quite far in the back a car rental (Europcar). We had a car rented and were very satisfied. Two days 70 Euro. And the lady at the office spoke perfect German. It is from Hamburg.
As trip recommendable is the beach from elafonisi and tigani (beware, Jeep, feast Footwear and clothes recommendable!) on the south coast we are from plakias to chora Sfakien dangers. Great scenery with lots of small beaches ( if they are found) clearly colder water. Chora Sfakien is a wonderful small village with port and a small hideaway beach the beautifully between the rocks is.
Drive there, really great.
So in short: Island, area, people, was cool and very recommendable. Hotel no. Look for another. ( Vataris palace we looked at ourselves and found it really great!) read more

With a rental car you can from the hotel the best places the island explore... Value for money of the hotel is great! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Who not too much knick-knack expected and not constantly mistakes finds, is a great vacation spend. A trip to Rethymnon should in any case be planned. read more
