Check in: nobody there. Telephone number on the disc, which we we called, then we were in a good english in our ( offenstehendes ) room piloted. My english is good-can someone not, he would have been lost, it was not a soul nearby! Highlight the breakfast. Small but sweet and with freshly squeezed orange juice. Good coffee. no-go and reason for only 2 instead of 7 nights in february we are locally with temperatures around the freezing point at night. After the first night we still be put off any, that the heater 'only time '. After the 2. ... durchgeforenen night (no joke- and i say this as a man, my wife has much more frozen) we schulterzuckend off. Problem: it is a very small hotel, almost informally run but without the appropriate attention. Costs in every corner and end saved, so bothered us the dead bird by the pool less, or that when we arrived in the night really 0 preheated was-that the heater then just not work at all and the for 'normal' was us to the departure in a 5 star hotel leads. In short: stay away for all, which is how we want to save, but certain comfort expectations have (for example not freeze at night) read more

Gorgeous comfortable hotel! The family-run hotel montinho de ouro, with 26 units not too big and very comfortable. The whole complex is very clean and with attention to detail decorated. We inhabited an apartment on the 1. floor with a big balcony and a view of the pool and the hotel. This was very spacious, gorgeous furnished and very clean. The breakfast buffet from 9:00 was absolutely sufficient. It was fresh every morning and lovingly prepared and left our nothing to be desired. During our stay were almost exclusively german guests,-couples, the age group of 25-c. a.55 ... years. The dinner in the hotel, a 3-course menu with fish or meat, which freshly prepared is, is also recommended and can spontaneously additionally booked are. You pay for but 30, to 40, -. read more

    The wonderfully furnished apartments are in top condition! If you want a little more space during the stay preferably, we recommend an apartment to book, is worthwhile, since the double rooms were quite small. It was practically equipped: hob, microwave, pots and pans, kettle etc.

    The complete hotel staff is very friendly and speaks very good english. The hotel is from a competent, always cheerful, portuguese couple 35-40 years, informally run. We were thrilled by the many dealing with all the guests! She endeavour to ensure their guests well-being and no small wish remained unfulfilled. Our apartment almost cleaned very thoroughly every day, including regular change of towels.

    The hotel is located in a very quiet area and paradieseisch on a hill, a little bit out of town of luz. We had a rental car, you definitely book should! The distance from Faro airport to the hotel is c. a. an hour. We have ourselves very well described route description on the homepage www. Montinhodeouro. com, expressed and it immediately found. Larger supermarkets are in Lagos and in the direction villa de bispo after c. a. 10-15 minutes very easy to reach. The hotel was for us a perfect starting point to all the beaches, the very well signposted are. We are absolute fans of the fantastic beaches of the west coast, these are only c. a. half hour drive.

We booked a vacation at the Algarve and had a rental car. For this reason could the hotel a little bit out of town and peacefully located are, what the informally run montinho de ouro perfectly matched. On request could amongst others the private bath towels, which after a time of salt and sand already were, for washing given and there were from the hotel ersatztücher. Since we all day long on the way were, we booked only breakfast. The breakfast was quite simple but sufficient. There was fresh fruits, yogurt, bread, several sausage/cheese, coffee/tea and so on. Than we ... due to a train ride to Lissabon two days not for breakfast were, we were also asked, whether everything okay -which was very attentive. The montinho de ouro is a very nice, small and quiet hotel. It offers itself in any case a rental car at, around the beautiful bays, as well as the mountainous area with the small sleepy villages to reach. Without a rental car you will probably in place paria da luz and not very much of Algarve see read more

With a vehicle is this hotel really recommendable! Great hotel. As it somewhat remote is a rental car definitely recommendable. Very peaceful location, nevertheless very good starting point for tours through the south-western Algarve. By car short distances to a lot of beaches in the area and to Lagos as beautiful town with many restaurants, bars and shopping options. Next year definitely again. read more

The complex has no view of the sea, but north Serra de Monchique, which was right was attractive. there are bigger apartments and smaller studios, all with a view of the pool. enough parking spaces available. guests from the Netherlands, great Britain, France, Germany, and so on. with or without meals available. read more

    Our apartment was clean and spacious with a massive Sofa bed for our daughter. beautiful, big balcony to the pool out. from the taps is clear fresh water, the you didn't go right again ausspuckt, if you look at the teeth cleaning wants. kitchen somewhat meager (2-Platten-Herd ). there is a safe and an airco, the but we didn't required.

Much cakes and white bread, relatively little for fans of hearty dishes. Fresh fruit and yoghurt. dinner for the guests of half board serves. Who only sporadic want to eat there, says to at 17 o'clock Answer, when and what they want to eat. (Pork, chicken or different species ). It tasted good for us, was but no culinary excellence. Delicious home cooking stop, but also no worse than most restaurants the area. value for money very good, full the men in any case!

    Very nice, happier and attentive service. Except for the cleaning crew all speak good understandable English. with problems (also with Friendanbietern as for example car rental ) you can always front desk and it will be cared. cleaning the room all two days. The cleaning Forces fold the greatest figures out towels. we moved everything was with flowers decorated.

    beautiful pool with totally clean water, no chlorine smell or similar, however quite cool-the Atlantic ocean was warmer. Whether the pool chairs in the peak season sufficient, you can difficult to say, in October are always a lot of free. tennis court available, Rackets and balls were in the little fee included. in the lounge there is a pool-Billardtisch and a internet-able Notebook ( for a fee ). German TV channels were in the apartment only limited receivable (1st and second program ).

    transfer from the airport Faro CIRCA 90 kilometer, 1 hour drive. Location domestically, the place 'Praia da Luz' on the coast about 2 kilometer. Very quiet location, especially at night. A rental car will urgently recommended! the nearest place is in approximately 500 meters 'Espiche'. Town center restaurants, but no supermarket. in Praia da Luz is there supermarkets and touristic infrastructure. As apparently everywhere in the Algarve is very from tourists from Britain set. Praia da Luz has a really nice, clean beach. the nearest city Lagos (about 15000 EW ). Here you can get everything, that you need. There is also a hospital. And naturally various golf courses.

The hotel area was a little piece of paradise. Were more than satisfied. The breakfast buffet was more than enough and delicious. Rental car is however needed. The complex is located approximately three kilometer from the beach on a hill (but as mentioned paradise). The pool is a dream. The garden wonderful laid out and everything was very well-kept. We will definitely go back. read more

    We have only the breakfast buffet used, that was always sufficient filled was.     the location is very quiet and secluded, a rental car is of advantage. It drives close to the hotel a bus from, but for the visit to the beach or for evenings assume rather unsuitable. with a Mietmagen is well equipped for excursions in the area and different beaches to try out. options for shopping are on foot not recommendable, as a hike from about 3 kilometer have to cover-just.

The montinho de Ouro is a nice hotel, unfortunately without car is not recommended at all. We didn't use the gastronomy, but rather Appartmentküche cooked. read more

If you want a action-Hotel look, this is not the place to go. Away from the beaches you need almost always a taxi or private car. Outside of the bathing season deserted, which increased the ruhefaktor. We barely stayed there during the day, but the desk started. The pool could have been in the wintertime the hotel is also deactivate-since it was too cold. No one has it according to the staff (limited) and we even remotely Beorbachtung used. read more

The hotel is located a few miles away from Lagor and Praia da Luz, is in the middle of the hills of Montinhos da Luz. It is very nice and tastefully furnished, has about 20 rooms. The guests were mixed from Germany, England, Spain. We had only booked breakfast, we would like to go to Lagor also went to eat. The breakfast was ok for us, of course, it is not with a large 4 or 5 star hotel comparable, but it was absolutely appropriate. read more

    The service was good, although quite use it. The breakfast buffet every self service and otherwise we had not far too many questions. As our flight was canceled due to a strike, it was absolutely no problem the room for 2 days to extend was also relatively cheap. But we were there before high season, don't know how the would be walked.

    The location is really great, a car is a must. You can then the beaches for example. On the way to the Cape Sagres or explore Cape St. Vincent, or the coast toward Faro, for example. The section of Alvor to Praia da Rocha, as is the coast really great and well as longer beach sections are available. Whoever runs to the west coast, e.g. B. Villa do Bispo) was absolutely fantastic beaches, far and long and almost without people, the ocean is always there with caution, high waves, so be careful, but really fantastic.

Very good service, nice and lovingly designed hotel, rather few, about 20 rooms. These were rather small, but nicely decorated and very tasteful. Good service, everything is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included - good buffet selection. The guests are mostly Portuguese, but also lots of Germans. Especially we liked the service, or the commitment of the staff. These are always willing to help in any way. Very child friendly, and also equipped accordingly.     Although a little way out (we had a rental car from plus but achieved by public transport possible), but nicer location. No "tourist bunker" nearby, in the middle of nowhere. Restaurants and shopping possibilities with the car within two minutes away. Only 4 minutes by car to the beach.

It is a small hotel (think 14 rooms or apartments), beautiful grounds, straightforward and cozy! We did not want an impersonal concrete block with 300 rooms and so is the place. The garden is was beautifully designed. There is a breakfast or half board, the guests are bit older on average, maybe it was the time of year. German, English, Portuguese mixed.     We had an apartment - living room with kitchenette (fridge, microwave, stovetop, washing up, crockery), bathroom and toilet, bedroom. The fixtures in the bathroom was a bit furred up, but apart from that, everything was clean! In the living room and bedroom each had a/c. In the closet there was a safe. There are rooms with balcony, our apartment was on the ground floor, but we had table and chairs and umbrella on the doorstep, in the rooms/restaurant is smoke-free. In the living room there was a small TV, German channels only ARD, ZDF and MTV.

    Buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel's restaurant. For breakfast one should promptly at 9 a.m. show, we had on 1 , a day at 9.10 hours no table for free. The rest of the week was the but not a problem. The buffet had a large choice - bread (dark/white), croissants, a Art Germteiggebäck, cereal, Schokoladenflocken, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, jams, soft chocolate cream, fruit salad, yogurts and a variety of pastries. For dinner, guests can choose between meat or fish - fish is excellent, but is not very varied (grilled, potatoes and salad), meat we only had twice, was ok. Next time we would book breakfast only traveling, there were plenty of opportunities to eat out, also need to get to meal to a certain time (mostly 19 -7:30 pm) at the hotel. Everything made a fresh, clean impression. Dinner drinks are not included, a can of coke cost 2,50 euro, which was a little over-priced.

    We actually only with the owner and his wife to do, both were really nice! Communication in English. The room cleaning was ok, only the used dishes you have to wash. There is a laundry, we didn't use. On site there is also a small shop with postcards, snacks, etc. by delayed flight and "Irr' ride we arrived at the hotel at 3 :00am, room and found a bottle of red wine, pastries, spreads, ham and cheese, very plentiful - which we also found very nice.

    The hotel is located outside of Luz and is unfortunately hard to find! (The navigation in a rental car knew unfortunately not even the place Luz). The owner was so nice and made us personally directed to the hotel. In Luz itself there is a Spar and some local, but we were mainly in nearby Lagos research, as everything and it is a beautiful city. For the major destinations the location is perfect, whether Ponta da Piedade or Cabo da Vicente - you could reach the most within 30 minutes (drive). And a gorgeous beach is also very close to the Faro airport (Meia Praia) is 90 kilometers away.
