For us (Ilse 53, and Volker 61) it was a wonderful vacation. The hotel is as in a botanical garden and very well maintained. The rooms were so far okay, but, as with some already begun, updated. If there was something to complain about was, someone was within a few minutes and the staff from the reception immediately asked, whether everything okay was brought to our room. The food, the service and also the service at beach and pool were always very cheerful, friendly and helpful. It is these people not only to tip, but also the recognition of their ... achievement. You are not allowed forget, where you are and with how little these people have to live. We have the staff always friendly and that is what we have on a multiple get back. The driver with the gulf Cars and the small train were always in a good mood (even without giving any tip) the distances from of the lobby to the rooms, pool and beach we thought initially quite far, is however very good and with the aforementioned fellows not a problem at all. On foot you can reach everything very good. The atmosphere overall was very well-kept and familiar thanks to mr radomir avramovic! For golfers is the place cocotal very recommendable. 5 fees were in the price there, however must one for the golf cart now 69 US Dollar pay. The directly in front of the hotel this mall is rather exclusive and also quite raised in the price. If you stay here with bargain counts is unfortunately wrong. The excursions are (as from many guests already mentioned ) very expensive, but it is worth it at least a small impression of the country and people to get. For us it is clear: next year we again vacation in this hotel! read more

Although the staff very hard right the value for money not. Although already other guests on the warm meals weighted, during our presence the meals always lukewarm, rather cold. Generous hotel plant with some positive but too much average to bad characteristics. You will feel in the hotel the cheaper tropical and caribe part and not the better 'royal' part. We would not have the differences so aware we would another hotel elective. read more

    We are with friends been in this hotel and had two same room (simple or lower categorie). Both rooms were in the same condition. The size of the rooms is for two people perfectly acceptable. As in some reviews before me have already mentioned these are but in need of renovation. The subject definitely not the small crt tv, but but old, worn out carpets, non-working curtains etc. As much is however the bathroom side : the condition the bathroom was for a hotel of this class or claim no longer durable. The goes loosely with abblätterndem wood (mirror, door) further over blunt badarmtaturen, crooked hanging towel rack, immediately not working showers and ends at half from the sagging and dripping ceiling hanging lamps (over the bath).

    The buffet restaurants offer an average food. It is ok but also nothing special. Often would be less with higher quality certainly better. The a la carte restaurants are not directly recommended-they have however partially. Change from the daily right just backyard buffet. Dazed made us that before the necessary reservation the free period almost never was possible. From the 2. day cost the reservation 5 u $and from there were free-what ' coincidence. :-) There are also pay restaurants-we did however not tested.

    The hotel is huge. Depending on where the room is you either directly at the beach and hence good 5-10-minute walk from the restaurants or turned over. In the neighborhood are exclusively hotels. From the hotel directly leads to a nice shopping center. The hotel is nice decorated and well maintained. There are also different birds freely which children's playroom. There is a climbing on the complex, several pools and restaurants. The pools at the caribe and tropical part are almost identical and were apparently after their construction also not more renovated. Really nice looks not more. The walk through the royal part of the hotel was already better. Generally you have to realize, the royal part of the hotel clearly more comfort offers. There, there are also, for example, decent pool chairs – the loungers in the other two parts are a pure impertinence. These are only by. A huge and extensive grounds. Nevertheless very easy going and comfortable. We had a junior suite and a romantiksuite receive, as our tour operator as information 'honeymoon' record had. We were right by the pool and beach. The front desk is very friendly and hard-working immediately to fulfill every request. Our patio door was not too worn and after not even 30 minutes it was repaired. The rooms were daily cleaned really well. Towels were even 2 times changed daily. Minibar was re-filled every day. The staff speaks spanish (klar-landessprache) and english. German was very little, but the germans are ... as it is very popular and therefore all tried for a good communication. No matter in what country you holiday, you should at least in the location his friendly 'good day' to say. The expected we at home also. The food was very tasty and always fresh. Since we almost 3 weeks there have, we were about the varied cuisine very satisfied. With breakfast on the sea watch may, the day perfect start. Beach chairs you had to do not worry, since enough by the pool and beach are available. The hotel seems very needs of the guests to adjust, since it 2 identical pool area is. One is probably more on the 'small' and the other on the 'large' visitor adjusted. When we were there, there were fewer children which for us was very relaxing. The entertainment for the little ones found at the other pool and strip of beach instead. The beach is very clean and cleaned daily. Even the seaweed was daily weggeharkt. Unfortunately the water not crystal clear, but that was probably still at the aftermath of the storm 'Sandy'. Other guests told us, that it is different. The hotel is relatively new, the hotel very well maintained and beautiful, the pool gigantic and always enough pool chairs. The service is indifferent, the food boring and tasteless. There are hardly any europeans to be met. read more

    Rooms are large and in principle very nice. However, also here showed some age-related problems. Lampshades crooked, the towel rack was wobbly, light bulbs broken, etc. The is really with little effort better.

    Quality of the food at the buffet ok, but totally carelessly displayed and poorly heated. Much comes nearly cold on the plate. Also the chefs in the mass of the guests not with the refill afterwards. The few specialty restaurants, which we tried, were not really good. Only the thai was better than expected. The beverages at the bars and the restaurants were good. Cocktails way too sweet with cheap alcohol, the wine tasted like vinegar. We have almost only water and Cola drunk.

    Have no leisure facilities used, since we only wanted to relax. The two large pools although it is very nice, but in need of renovation. Beach chairs totally unacceptable, the half was broken or so worn out, that you after recently had back pain. The beach was unfortunately a catastrophe. Absolutely filthy with seaweed and the water a single, cloudy dreckbrühe full of seaweed. The melia was apparently the only hotel, the the beach not cleaned. The impact of the hurricanes about 3 weeks before our arrival have long can be removed. Was the neighbouring hotel the case.

Wonderful massive tropical facilities with long ways to the public beach. It is very much was offered, boredom force hardly on. Numerous restaurants offer good food. It felt like there were 60% of the guests americans, rest of europeans (mixed). The a lot of pools are very nice the complex integrated and offer rest and relaxation. read more

Nevertheless the hotel by the beach is, one lives by the size of the hotel depending on location up to 20 minutes on foot away from the beach. There are however regularly free tourist train across the complex, so you every point distance (not suitable for disabled people). The choice of the restaurants is big, the quality of the food in the main restaurant moderate, most free specialty restaurant offer however for almost everyone. The selection of drinks is excellent. For the waiters we have very different experiences made. Excellent service at the pool bar from Julian del Rosario, Wellington ... Martinez and Carmeldo Delgado. At the other bars rather poor service. The shower dripped with warm water only and was despite 2 maliger complaint not repaired. The rooms are huge, the furnishings however dated. The complex itself has a beautiful designed garden, animals, large pools and restaurants. read more

The hotel is a bit outdated however always clean - also the outdoor areas. The complex is very large, several small shuttlezüge drive the guests easily between beach and the two front desks ( caribe and tropical ) back and forth. Food is good, but after two weeks also monotonously, which but also is normal. There are many americans and canadians there, a few french. The audience is mixed from families to older guests. read more

Tables in the theme restaurants must be booked in advance, in the marketplace, you can in any case eat. There breakfasts can do one also in the two beach restaurants with a sea view. Everything was clean, food is rather american and Italian or typical of the country.

    The hotel is a bit outdated however always clean - also the outdoor areas. The complex is very large, several small shuttlezüge drive the guests easily between beach and the two front desks ( caribe and tropical ) back and forth. Food is good, but after two weeks also monotonously, which but also is normal. There are many americans and canadians there, a few french. The audience is mixed from families to older guests.

A very nice, very well maintained complex, outstanding nestled in a park, but a bit sprawling. Room etc. Really OK, only the food you should not expect too much. Italian food in the Dominican Republic is not as good as at the Italian in Germany, other restaurants we cannot judge. But for~ 80 euros all inclusive you could also no extravagente kitchen expect. We were from 20. Feber until 19 March 2012 for the eighth time in the Melia Caribe tropical. 'your home away from home' meets with us to 100% to. When we year 2000 melia tropical spent, there was the Caribeteil not yet. There was in an uncultivated landscape stable, the from time to time its fragrance in the Tropicalbereich dismissed. The Vegetation was very poor and with those of today not too comparisons. Already at that time, without VIP status and knowledge to organizational drains we had this hotel, the staff and the magnificent area into the heart closed. Since ... then a lot has changed. The hotel live the present cater-we live in! Every year we spend here a comfortable and quiet time with friends from many countries. For boondoggle and bloody-minded positions we have no time and not in the mood. A relaxing vacation to enjoy, you should, as in other countries also, as far as possible the mentality of the local approach. If our health allows we are 2013 again 1 month on vacation.     There is a wide range of a la carte specialtiesrestaurants, all good stylish overall impression of the hotel. As in such a large hotel buffets always a provider, these were restaurants a beautiful, a bit more customised alternative for dinner. We have also always good to very good eaten (we were in the Mexican, Thai, French and Dominicans). the buffet-main restaurant market place from the decor really nice, but of course much clearer the size the resort and the number of video guests feel. Both the quality and taste of the food were reasonable, but I other more choice and comparable hotels variety I have seen. Very nice, were the loungigen bar areas beautiful places to sit and stylish lighting we do not like at all however the atmosphere in the restaurant at the beach. Because of close to our room we nevertheless regularly breakfast and lunch here eaten and the quality and choice was about as set out in the marketplace. Unfortunately we found the whole decor and the presentation of the dishes however rather below average and not otherwise quite stylish overall impression of the hotel. Even if you, as mentioned really good ace, which was atmosphere more like a canteen than a 5 star resort the restaurant. I believe that this is not as dramatic, as it would have reduced our pleasure serious, but at least it is worth. This would also be a tip, which I such a large area the planners would be: why the gastronomy, as in the cuisine restaurants, not a little relief at the buffets and premises distribute. The complex is so nice and big and spacious, you never notice the mass of people, who are here-except at the buffets. Always a little affected by the alleged offered Exclusivity... unfortunately, there were no bar direct at the beach and you must drinks in the restaurant at the beach get.

    -too many very friendly staff, service especially at the beach restaurants sometimes but a bit slow. -problems with the programming of the safe (2 dollar per day price) were immediately call fixed. -cleaning of the rooms oK-if you are, of course, but, as some of the previous evaluative its Caribbean vacation not at the beach, but in the room after blowing searching spend, find the other overlooked mouse cotton... -i think, that one did not know times in the lobby Wi-Fi free-is, at least in 5 star hotels now too many standard...

    beautiful pool area-although I never understand could, why in the Caribbean on a dream to fly by the pool to beach chairs-but to each his own... The beach is very beautiful and very well maintained. Seaweed there was only little time and regularly away. After our arrival in Punta Cana, according to touristic completely unspoilt South-West of the Dominican Republic has us however already a bit shocked how crowded the beach of Punta Cana has become. We were not for the first time here, but the direct comparison was extremely and we also have this year even busier than the times before and we were always in the January/February, so in the high season in Punta Cana. This is especially there is also a instruction for people, perhaps for the first time to Punta Cana with the illusion of a secluded Caribbean beach in order to say it clearly: the beach is dreamlike nice, but Punta Cana was an touristic Massenziel became and one must it with many other parts. Of course it is not the Playa de Palma and find any quiet Spot, but the masses on the beach vicinity remember partly very of Sunday Alster walks on a sunny weekend in Hamburg... Luckily the Melia has a very long beach section and the masses are spread really good... There is also enough chairs, so that no one already before sunrise to (so annoying)'reserve' going out to... regularly used we also have a gym, not huge, but enough for our needs with reasonable techno-gymdevices was equipped.

    Room was always well cleaned. Afterwards were often beautifully decorated Flowers on the washbasin. The only thing was the our pears often broken, and our balcony door something wedged this was quickly fixed. Safe must extra be paid

    If someone didn't find something then I don't know. We liked it always tasted great. There were 3 different buffet restaurants 2 direct at the beach and one nearby the lobby. Evenings you had the choice between buffet and à-la-carterestaurants to decide we stayed for almost every evening someplace else eaten. Everything very delicious. We enjoyed the Mexican-Dominican-, Thai-, American-, la gourmet, French-(very good) and the fish restaurant everything very delicious with a very lots of choice at before, main and desserts. The lobster and the Japanese restaurant costs extra, the other but were completely enough. All restaurants are subject to subject nicely furnished and depending upon taste a beautiful atmosphere

    There are 2 massive pools very nice are designed and direct at the beach are so you will be charged from the pool into the ocean could jump ☺ beach chairs are also many available unfortunately the beach chairs reserve already mornings at 7 loosely. But we have nevertheless always a sunbed somewhere can get. the beach is dreamlike and every morning from seaweeds freed so that it always clean was. Of course you can a few seaweeds not prevent didn't mind. only was that the disco somewhat small was, there was a large promenade with bars and seat opportunities

    the hotel is located directly on the dreamlike Palmengedurch the lined beach. Depending on what a one room is either closer at the beach or closer to the lobby. Everything is extensive but that is not a problem, because each couple minutes small railroad by the complex. In which you can walk the wonderful scenery enjoy. Directly in front of the hotel there is a large purchase center but also in the area there lots of possibilities for shopping.
