From 1-8. Juli 2012 I was once again in the Cavallino d'Oro in South Tyrol. It is a historic, from the owners run hotel. Every room is different furnished and equipped with kind details equipped. For years come I this beautiful hotel, especially because of the personal care the hosts and of the staff - and the excellent kitchen! Here I the feeling, to be really welcome. There are good traffic connections, possibilities for hiking for each condition, shopping in Kastelruth with retailers Shops and of course also in Bolzano and Brixen. We were end of February for a tight week in this hotel and can in every aspect recommend. Our room was comfortable and clean, the food was sharpened. We loved it here! read more

a likeable small hotel (circa 22 individually with old furniture ausge-ago room) in 'old skin' with surprisingly modern 'Offal'( for example dreamlike ambience from the reception the restaurant and bar with a view of the church- new Aufzuganlage-Internet-and (who likes) Turkish steam bath and solarium) and spotlessly clean! underground parking included in the price! Breakfast, dinner in the cozy restaurant with a view of the mountains -extensive wine list. guests from all over Europe and many also from the USA = much communication, especially in the-completely renewed-bar read more

Detailed menu in solid price range. the with the half-board at least 5-course menu in the evening leave nothing to be desired (selection between 3 soups, 3 appetizers, 3 main courses and up to 7 dessert Varieties, as well as extensive salad buffet)-the everything in the best quality from local foods, special requests are also, in case feasible, in addition to fulfilled. And all this at for example half board-prices, the as excellent value for money called must be!

    skiing vacation: shuttle busBus directly below of the hotel all 15 minutes to the Gondola in SEIS(10 minutes). Arriving by car unproblematic. Airport Bozen nearby. shopping: great place in kastelruth/castelrotto to supermarkets with delis and wine bar up to several sports, clothing and Spezialgeschäften -rest in Bozen or Brixen (both not far!) excursions- especially in the summer -unlimited possibilities.

We had two nights with breakfast for a extended weekend. The hotel was found in good condition. For a longer stay I would choose a hotel outside of the village with leisure time activities. The breakfast was very good and sufficient. The eggs were cooked rather than raw. read more

We arrived afternoon with the mountain-bike and were looking for a room, got a room at the last minute and were very hotel surprised at the friendliness and warmth of this hotel, above all the chef people. But unfortunately only 1 night remained, since on the next day we continued again with our bike. read more

The 'something' some runs this lovingly run family hotel. Particularly has fallen us the tangible, genuine Traditionsbewusstsein and the 'touch' Unternehmerfamilie the open-mindedness and the many international guests in this idyllic small hotel and this enchanting place 'Ruth' bring kastel. We have spent beautiful days in South Tyrol and this charming hotel can 'each' to the heart anchorage. read more

We have felt very comfortable here and us, in the few days very good. The room was really clean are very traditionally furnished, what does not fit our personal style, but good to the rustic/antique setting. Pampered here is not only in food, generally is a well-oiled and the trained staff went out of their way to help, also with proposals for the recreational activities. Recommended is also the hotel's own Sauna, as the guest can use a hour daily. In this sense it can be, this to reserve. From the evening entertainment designers you should expect not to much ..., but the was us this holiday also not important at all. We wanted only the soul and is this a suitable location. read more
