Spacious rooms, we had even a room with sea view that looks great, Air conditioning available, however for a fee of 5,- Euro on the day, but we didn't need, safe available ( free of charge)

We had merely breakfast booked, was ok. But could be a bit be added ( for example cream cheese, salami or fresh fruits), Cleanliness in the restaurant was ok. , price for beverages very moderate

Good service, very pleasant and helpful hosts, us with advice and act to the side confessed than a case occurred, Nikos, one of the sons, speaks very good German, apart from that you could get by with English well clearly, Cleaning of the rooms was ok. , apart from that always helpful

A bit outside of the fun mile, but in well 10 minutes easy to reach, No directly at the beach, but also the beach is in etwa 10 minutes away by foot reachable, Supermarket and small taverns are reachable in a few minutes, Bus stop in right in front of the hotel, for 1.50 Euro you can to the center from Heraklion drive

My room was very spacious and as already described with a simple, but functional furniture. Inconvenient was only, that the safe key on the bund with a room key and the magnetic card with the electric circuit run is has enabled, many guests. If you evenings at the safe wanted, you could in the dark not more see what they did. Only the door to open.

The restaurant offered the possibility inside or outside on the terrace to sit. The breakfast was quite simply, with two sorts rolls, butter, different jams, sausage, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, coffee, tea and juice. Me it was sufficient for the start to the day perfectly. Evenings there was a menu. It was low season and only a few of the guests ate in the evening in the hotel. There was always a greek salad, daily changing main courses and a dessert in daily changing variations. I liked the good greek home cooking good. Otherwise there were to eat always a half liter cool water.

The mainly contact the son of the hotel, the both the front desk, as well as around the serving the food taken care of. He speaks both German, as well as English and is appealing, friendly and helpful. Already with arrival there were a drink from the house and you really felt very welcome. The cleaning of the rooms took place daily and was also thoroughly settled. Complaints I had no.

The hotel has a to swim sufficient pool with chairs in the sun-and shady area. There was no animation, what I found was very much appreciated. At the beach I was only once, have the vacation more exploration the historic island of use.

At the hotel Poseidon concerns it a smaller informally run hotel. The hotel has approximately 29 rooms with kitchenette, fridge, shower bath and balcony. My room had a safe without calculation of a extra remuneration, I thought it was great, as I it in southern countries usually different am used to. The furnishing is simple and certainly not the newest, but functional and clean. I had with half board booked, many of the guests but only with breakfast. The breakfast was as a buffet enough. The dinner as menu.

To the beach it was about ten minutes on foot, in the extensive place Amoudara ( with taverns, restaurants and supermarkets) about 15 minutes. Amoudara is a suburb of the capital Heraklion, thus a short transfer time of about 15 minutes. By the proximity to Heraklion one has very lots of possibilities excursions to make. To Heraklion even you should always take bus, since the traffic in the capital quite chaotic. The bus ticket kotest currently 1.50 Euro ( blue ticket) per way and person and is in many supermarkets, kiosks etc. Available, but not in the bus itself. The next supermarket was about five minutes on foot reachable. To other parts to explore, you can either a rental car take. The gas prices are however around 20 cents per liter higher than with us, you can but also the extensive fernbussystem use. To Agios Nikolaos, a pretty town, 7,10 Euro per person and distance and to Rethymnon 7,60 Euro both cities about kilometers away and after about 90 minutes time reachable.

The rooms are typical of the country, simple, but clean and with their own kitchenette included fridge. The furnishing is not the newest, but it is clean, solid and perfectly adequate in this performance of the hotel. Hair dryer, telephone and tv ( no German channels ) are available, otherwise even free safe! Air conditioning could for a fee (5 Euro/ day) can be used, but we didn't need that. We had otherwise a nice balcony direction pool!

Varied, fresh, typical of the country, rich, healthy and delicious! Delicious breakfast buffet and fantastic dinner with several courses! Simply great! In ammoudara many beautiful taverns and only friendly and nice people, the tip more than deserve! Great!

Everything spectacular! Here there are really not the smallest to complain about. Everybody was friendly and accommodating, the rooms very clean, accessibility of the very courteous and friendly German speaking map of the hotel was '24/7' given. Laundry and change of towels was even partly still more frequently than officially reported, what else could you want. Here one could even 7 suns!

The pool is top! There is no animation ( luckily!). The beach level of the hotel is rather algenreich and not quite as nice as the 1000 meters to the west ( close to the hotel Santa Marina beach) located sandy beach. Shopping and car rental is not a problem, you will find everything in town. Showers on the beach and rettungsschwimmertürme there is everywhere, loungers are cheap for example for a drink at a beach-tavern. The quality of the water is good and with blue flag certified. With strong lake it can a little sandy cloudy his. Before the beach there is a reef, to the power of the waves to soften. There is therefore a few sea urchins. Took you should bathing shoe carry forward. We liked, that the sandy beach far to to Heraklion attracts. The baden was fun!

The hotel is a three-storey white building and looks very plush! It is in good condition and very clean. The rooms are big and with marmorstein tiled. The furnishing is typical of the country and therefore quite simple, which however not continue to disturb. The beds are for German standards a bit worn, but ok. You have a kitchenette ( we didn't use) and a fridge ( also we hardly used). As the hallways to the apartments are tiled, one hears, if the apartmenttüren in the lock fall or nightly returnees in the hallway talking. Who has an easy sleep should therefore took earplugs. In the room there is also a flat screen tv. German stations it but not. Disturbed us that not however in the slightest: we found it extremely pleasant, once on media to do. To in between time to inform in town you could but German newspapers buy. The hotel owns a dreamlike veranda in the entrance area, on the breakfast and dinner to itself take can. There you will learn also the funny cats know, the from time to time between the tables walk around. Otherwise there was a large dining room, and next door a stay area. The hotel has with about 30 apartments a good size and informally run. That was very important to us, because we are not in an anonymous giant hotel again wanted. The family is very friendly and cordial! The nice hotel manager nikos speaks German, does everything for its tourist and is around the hour for you. The cleanliness was always pristine! A bit hard to get used to the in Greece apparently widespread habit, that paper not to the toilet allowed throw, but in a (airtight closed) garbage bin in the bathroom. But this every day emptied and the hygiene also otherwise super is, you could prepare for it. ( we have also in various restaurants so had, probably rohrverstopfungen to prevent. It is thus no invention of the hotel). The hotel pool is at the back and is very clean. From there you can in the bay of ammoudara views. We recommend with half board to book. The food is plentiful and absolutely delicious, always typical of the country and fresh. The guests come too many from Germany, some from Eastern Europe. Altogether here you get a lot for relatively little money!

The hotel is located somewhat away west of the vacation destination ammoudara. The area around the hotel is unfortunately rather dirty. On the chimneys of the electrical power station of ammoudara has already been a lot written about. They are linear distance about 800 meters away and of them are mostly 1-2 vents in use. You have to have to adjust. We felt but didn't bother us, since our apartment at the back was. From the hotel it is 10 minutes to ammoudara, where it many supermarkets, souvenir shops, car rentals and taverns returns. The shortest way to the beach north of the hotel is 600 meters. We recommend but, further eastwards to go, to the section about at the height of the Santa Marina beach hotels. There, there are a tavern, where one free of charge loungers get, if you want a drink (2,50 Euro) ordered. Very good is the bus station directly in front of our Poseidon hotel, from where you for 1.50 Euro about minutes to to Heraklion and knossos to drive can. From Heraklion from are travel with regional coaches in other cities ( for example Chania) possible. Noise from the planes you have not, there is only in Heraklion, where the holiday plane in the middle of the port stand out. Because of the very good mobility it would have almost for 4 suns enough.

Spacious rooms, large closet, safe, tv and fridge. Air conditioning against an extra charge possible. Bathroom and shower in good condition. People here have apparently on german customers shot. Only the toilet paper in a basket and throw must needs getting used to. Is however standard in Kreta.

Breakfast was excellent, there was everything you want. (sausage/jam/cheese/eggs/juice and so on) cake was always there, very much to the joy of our children. The dinner was magnificent outside. Every day something else and almost local dishes. If you only greek restaurants in Germany knew here correctly surprised. Delicious, since everything fresh from its own garden. Portions are plentiful and hard to handle. On request there are but also consulting, ☺ if you don't book half-board it is your own fault.

Here is the big plus at the hotel. Pleasant and helpful, it is not. Fluent english and good german. The rooms were cleaned daily and with new laundry facilities.

Sport we wanted to in the heat not make, the pool is a dream. Not huge but perfectly maintained. Plenty of beach chairs, a part is covered. Internet is on request possible and the range was great. The news than live stream without any problems possible. The beach is only 5 minutes away, and the managed part clean. Liegenmiete of 2,50 Euro per day also super cheap.

- great breakfast room with an outdoor area - nice palm trees at the entrance - hotel with clean rooms, air conditioning, tv, stove, sink and dishes - nice, clean pool to relax and cool off - general good overall impression - very friendly staff

- supermarket and beach isn't far - the only bank/atm is 4 kilometer far away, however by bus in a line easy to reach. Stop is right in front of the door - many great souvenir shops, supermarkets and restaurants the main street. You cannot get lost:-) - direct bus line to the capital (about 20 minutes drive) here there are a lot of museums and more shops. The national museum is a must. - direct connection to the bus line to knossos. Also a must. Here one should however already early, since the heat and the tourists are tired of ☺ you can quite freely in the excavations move, i did not. - the unbewirtschaftete surrounding area is really full of trash. The is however normal in all southern countries. - power station nearby, but it didn't bother us. - the location is quiet, except for the grill and cats. On nerfigsten is the tui area in a distance of 1km. These blasts the immediate area with music/noise. We had rooms in the opposite direction, so for us.
