Great place to stay. Short & pleasant walk to the NATO school. Large, lodge-like room. A little hard to find, so know where you're going. Staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Michael and family made me feel like family and I look forward to going back and taking my wife to experience this wonderful part of the world. I loved the farmed raised eggs at breakfast, the great german coffee, baked goods and meats every morning. I was here on business, but they made it feel like a great vacation as well. read more

If you are visiting Oberammergau, I highly recommend the Ferienhaus Fux, There are many hotels, and we have styaed in others, but this one is the best. If is centrally located, you can walk to the restaurants, shops, and start your hikes from here. There is free parkng right in front. The hotel is extremely clean, the hotel staff is extremely pleasant and helpful, and it has an awesome breakfast. I have lived in Germany for 10 years. They have the best breakfast. The rooms are decorated in a typical Bavarian style, ours had a balcony with an awesome view ..., and a modern bathroom. There is a guest refrigerator in the basement to use. read more

    Awesome breakfast. Traditional Bavarian with many extras. A huge variety of rolls and breads. Meat, cheese, several types of eggs, cereal, yogurt, cucumber and tomatoes, fresh fruit, a wide range of jelly and jam...It is a self serve come in when you want, and relax and eat as long as you want. They also give you your own pot of coffee on the table. Really great. The breakfast room is charming.

    We have hiked in Oberammergau several times. This time we took the lift up and hiked down the Laber. Really nice. I recommend hiking DOWN :)

    Oberammergau is such a beautiful, unique village. It's charm and painted buildings make it one of our favorite get aways. You can wander, hike, ski, or sit and relax in one of the many great restaurants. If you have not been. You need to go, and definitely stay with the Fux family.

We stayed in the self cateing apartments but I ate the hotel breakfast every morning. The apartment was newly refurbished to a high standard. Very helpful staff. The area is very nice with a great selection of restaurants. I was on a business trip but enjoyed the evenings, my wife found plenty to do to during the day. read more

Hotel Ferienhaus Fux is a great value. The town made a centrally located base for visiting the sights of southern Bavaria. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very clean and comfortable. It was far nicer than two more expensive properties we stayed in during our Bavarian trip. The breakfast room is sunny and inviting. The food was fresh and tasty. We would definitely stay here again while traveling in this area. read more

There was not a shower curtain in the bathroom over the bath tub. This made it difficult to take a shower and I ended up with water everywhere due to the lack of a shower curtain. Second, the location where the bath tub is located was too cramped for me to stand up straight. I recommend shower curtain's be installed because not everyone prefers to takes a bath. I must say that the hotel accommodations and staff were excellent and I will definitely stay here again while on business and if I am ever on vacation in the area. The Ferienhaus Fux - Hotel garni*** is a great place to stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Michael and his staff are very warm, welcoming and accommodating. Just as importantly, they treat their guests with utmost respect. The breakfast offered "hits the spot" with a good selection of food and beverages too. Very quiet, clean and cozy. Ideal for resting after a busy day. Staff very discrete but helpful. They might consider using a frigobar in order to keep drinks cool. Very pleasant stay. Hope to come back soon. read more

nice contact, central location, we could free sled for sledding borrow. in the evening we from the opposite Italian pizzas home in/out privileges. Breakfast there was just until 10 o'clock, we have rather slept in, so I can't review deliver. Our room was spacious and clean. On the whole it has great fit. the vacation home Fux can be quite recommended. read more

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The apartment was very clean and easily accommodated our large family (and dog). It is in walking distance to all restaurants/shopping and a 3-5 minute drive to the swimming pool and ski lifts. Recommend this hotel for large families, we plan to stay here again. read more

Great location, centrally located, everything was perfect reachable. The apartment has a very attractive decor and is very spacious inclusive a large bathroom. Lots of space for a 4 -headed family. It was very clean and the service uniquely nice. You can from the hotel also great restaurants reach. An all-round successful weekend in O'gau. We would love to go back to Oberammergau to Fux's. read more

This was a fantastic surprise for us! My sister and her family stayed inthe apt. next door--we had a connecting door--the place was roomy and well-stocked (kitchen supplies). the town had great restaurants and bars/coffee/shopping--really nice. There was a fantastic indoor pool/spa facility reasonable priced inthe town and absolutely eveything was in walking distance. We took a fitness walk daily and walked around to find great sledding spots for the kids. The beautiful church was right by us and we even went to new Year's day service. We had a REALLY nice time and we did not have to see ... everyone we knew at Garmisch//Eidlweiss. Munich and the castles were about an hour away in car and the roads and sidewalks were kept immaculately clean despite the snow and ice that kept falling. read more

This hotel is an excellent location for touring Ettal Monestary and Linderhof castle. Bridgette and Michael were wonderful answering questions in English and giving recommendations for restaurants, transportation and shopping. The breakfasts were very good and varied from day to day. They are located just a block from the bus stop and ATM and right in the middle of Oberammergau. read more

A very nice charming little attic apartment in the center of Oberammergau. The balcony overlooks the mountains and a nice little town square. The apartment also has a well-functioning small kitchen area. We have rented it twice now and will definitely return. read more

An excellent family hotel. We use the apartments and have been very happy especially with the very large apartment. The breakfast has a pretty good selection but I prefer to buy my own and it works out much cheaper too. The hotel is very central and close to bars and numerous eating places. We will definitely return when in Oberammergau. read more

This is an ideal location for a visit to Oberammergau. Within walking distance of all of the best that the town has to offer but with the bedroom tucked away at the back for peace and quiet. My only reservation would be that the parking is a little challenging but other than that it was a thoroughly enjoyable week. read more
