Dolomite Camp^{(4 stars)}

We are vom'galton gate ' with a rental car arrived. This is, expected from the airport windhoek, a very long way and a one-night stopover is highly recommended. The dolomite camp is not even a year old and therefore are all building and facilities in a top-condition. On the mountain the bungalows are a bit 'adventure' but well and tastefully decorated. Originally soltlen we as 4 -headed family in a bungalow again, but is impossible. After a short complaint, we were a 2 bungalow offered. The food in menu Form offered, since buffet not would. The quality was very good. The employees were always make an effort very accommodating to be. Is in government camps not self-evident. After sun down are the guests only with Cars transported. This ... is done for security reasons ( free-range animals and the path is in darkness with considerable risk of injury because stumble-camp so for disabled not recommendable.) evenings on your own balcony on the wide to views and sunset to enjoy is dreamlike nice. Wonderfully located with a fantastic view. The car was on a parking turned off and you were with luggage with a ' golf car ' on his bungalow dangers. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is a very special hotel in unique location on the only hill in the etosha. This unique location made our stay unforgettable. We observed the spectacular sunset of the swimming pool and the no less beautiful sunrise right from our bed. The accommodation is a mixture of Blockhouse and tent, each freestanding and before insight protected, which is a atmosphere causes the you should have. The dolomite camp is located in the western part of the etosha national park on a ridge and we spent here 3 nights. The Camp consists of 18 Zeltbungalows, a Frühstückszelt, a tent for the dinner, a Loungezelt and a tent with bar, as well as a front desk. The food in an outbuilding prepared. After our arrival we parked on the parking, which several carports is. Here you will be directly from the staff with an electric car and to front desk dangers. At the front desk we were greeted with a refreshing towel and a welcome drink and ... we were given a short briefing with codes of conduct for the camp. This was very important, since we are in the middle of the wilderness were and there are no fences are. Afterwards we became our Zeltbungalow dangers. From the outside see the Zeltbungalows very simple from, what inside not be confirmed. The rooms are relatively small, with shower and toilet. There is a large double bed with mosquito net and a wonderful view in etosha. Furthermore everyone has bungalow a small balcony with two very comfortable camping chairs. A mosquito net, a fridge, a safe and a hair dryer there are. An airco or a fan you will find it here however not, what you however also not necessary, since the Zeltwände with plenty of ventilation openings are provided. The dinner here as 3-course menu offered, whereby you main course between 4 dishes can choose. In terms of taste, the food was really good. For breakfast you had enough choice and it will also extra wishes fulfilled. The Camp offers game drive at, which we didn't make use of, because you have to take your own vehicle the West itself very good experience. The check out was smooth, although they were the half board calculate wanted. These however by us was already when booking paid. Here there was only a misunderstanding between office and front desk. This was for us however not a problem dar, since the staff everything immediately corrected. One thing we have to at this point however add. Around sometimes, that it is a government camp is. The hand towels were slightly rusty and a bed sheet had two small holes. Also the napkins at the table not always completely clean, why here there is unfortunately deduct. We had the luck in this new facility to the first 20 guests belongs to have, was accordingly the service. This lodge is located in the unspoilt west etoschas, uneingezäunt in the middle of the wilderness. Very recommendable!
