The Tryp Atocha is very well located in the center of Madrid, near Atocha train station and the Museums. The property itself is a nice building while the rooms are OK. Breakfast was also good. Didn't interact much with staff but when I did they were friendly. read more

Horror as a conclusion of a study trip

this place should be the 'worthy' of a study trip with Doctor Tigges. In order to not disturb the bell boy in his siesta we were asked to carry our bags to the hotel ourselves.
Our room was very 'smelly' of cigarette smoke. Despite immediate intervention of the tour guide it was not possible to re-book us to another room, the hotel was fully booked. Although we had ventilated multiple hours, the air in our backyard room could not be improved as also the bedding and the curtains smelled very much of smoke. The table in our room was also ... decorated with burns. In the following night we could not sleep because this bad odor. The television gave no picture and sound, which was because of the demolished antenna cable behind the unit on the floor. The dinner was served to us in a loveless furnished 'dining room' in the basement next to the kitchen (?) read more

The Tryp Atocha is a city hotel in Madrid, proximity of the station. The rooms are installed in a 'residential house', I suppose the whole hotel was built in a residential house, thus the confusing long walking paths through the hotel until you get up to the room. the room was small but clean, no bells and whistles, just for sleeping, location was okay if you are traveling on foot, you'd have to plan a 20-minute walk to get to the entertainment mile. But there is a metro station in front of the hotel. Breakfast was okay. Friendly staff and ... rapid check-in. Tryp is a hotel chain rather new and modern. read more

We liked the hotel very much, but with three small restrictions: The temperature our room was unfortunately not be regulated. The result was that the heating was on full strength and created an unpleasant heat. Continue to the bread rolls breakfast for Sunday rock - there were probably remaining from the day before. Finally the rooms were also very thin walled. We believe this but for übersehbare shortcomings. As for the price we paid (EUR 60 per night, per room) we expected more than before the trip. read more
