Good city hotel; adequate for a short stay. Mostly indian and asian guests. Room size was sufficient, the furniture was slightly worn. Room and bathroom clean. Breakfast buffet is the guest structure aligned, but we were with omelets, bread, cheese, good coffee and fruit fully satisfied. Opposite the city square mall with good shopping and many dining options. There is also access to the mrt (u-bahn); great transport links to the attractions. read more

Before the beginning our Australia-round trip we were two day in Singapore and a night in the hotel spent (for Quantas is Singapore the cross for changes). The hotel for our travel group the tour operator occasion. The local Guide of tour operator regulated everything ( assignment of the rooms, check out ) in the hotel.
The hotel Parkroyal is located on the edge of the indian district and' city center' from Singapore. Accordingly the location there were in the hotel relatively many Indian guests. Opposite the hotel there is a shopping center, including supermarket. You can but also very ... good clean Schnellküchen food, if you are on other kitchens was open.
In the town center you can on foot or with the taxi move (see Google-Earth). In terms of footpaths but you have to the temperature and humidity into account.
The rooms are very clean and spacious ( see pictures), of course, when the climate mold cannot be ruled out. Our room was in the 8. Etage direction Kitchener road. From the road traffic but we did not hear anything. In the beds we could sleep well.
The air conditioning you could regulate well.
The breakfast buffet was extensive, there was next to eggs, sausage pp. Many Asian dishes with rice pp. read more

From the airport it took approximately 45 minutes the parkroyal. Express and friendly check in. The rooms are relatively large, somewhat older, but clean and tidy. The bathroom is functional. Great view over Singapore and the location I would describe as central. Opposite the hotel a large shopping mall, new and air-conditioned. Right from the hotel from, the Mustafa shopping center the 24 hours is open. With the taxi ( very cheap) or on foot you can reach the city explore. Very nice we found the Arab quarter. Lots of small cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Chinatown is also nice ... and ' little India' lies in the immediate area of the hotel. In the large ' Futtermeilen ' is a good and cheap Chinese, Indian or Malaysian food. The imposing Hotel Marina Bay sands has a sky park (Platform) the accessible for everybody, and about ten minutes on foot from there, it is the 'central business district'. Shop, stroll and enjoy. It is everywhere very clean and tidy. read more

A great hotel in little India. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which I have ever had. The hotel is modern and furnished to a high standard equipped and some offers comfort, such as pool and sauna. The breakfast and dinner buffet in the evening was wide, fresh and gualitativ furnished to a high standard, but also very unusual for Europeans ☺ there were hardly any known food, but that is quite normal. There are actually a whole nothing to complain about. Very recommendable. read more

The hotel lies in the district of 'little India'.
It is-as you would expect-a' high rise building'. The hotel has approximately 530 rooms.
The state of the rooms is absolutely sufficient, but already getting old.
The room as well as bathroom was clean.
We had only breakfast booked. A bit disappointed we were from the selection. The Büfettauswahl was mainly on Indian and Asian guests laid out.
On bread for example only white and Vollkorntoastbrot. A variety cheese and otherwise only jams.
Coffee, tea and juice were available.
As the district suggests' little India '-therefore were very many Indian guests ... in the hotel. Apart from that Asians.
During our travels were only some Europeans since. read more

The hotel is okay for a city hotel in Singapore. Nothing special, but for those price absolutely okay. Our first room was dirty, but we do have a new after the we complained about it. The breakfast it is worthwhile for Europeans. It is rather on Indian and Asian laid out. The shopping center next to the hotel is nothing particularly good. We would rather recommend the harbor front. Not a luxury hotel, but for those price okay. I personally think the four stars justified. read more

Good hotel for a stop-over-guests

Booked this hotel for a 3-day Stoppoveraufenthalt (2 nights) after a room booked, because it from the price performance ratio cheapest appeared. All together it is OK, although it must be said, that it is more a hotel of the lower middle class is-with the hotels in Vietnam, one heard and is astonished, not to comparisons! The restaurant was more like a train station concourse. You hard-working although to keep everything clean and food tissues, succeed but not always.
we have the mistake made, as a smoker a smokers room- bare not! The window do not open. Since everything carpeted ... is, has the smoke fixed. It even for a smoker unpleasant.
the location is okay. Direct back the hotel starts little India. There you had many possibilities its own capacity in the Action to demonstrate. Just a few meters to the right and one is to the MRT station. The rides in the city are cheap and last long.
for A stop-Over-guests definitely recommendable -night safari, port round trip in the evening and of course a ride with the Singapore flyer. Shopping was also interesting, but actually only with clothes bit cheaper than in Germany. Electronics is rather expensive. read more

Good base near little India for a stopover. Mustafa shopping center and the a further two minutes away, restaurant, as far as the eye could see. Metro station in five minutes.
The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired (with the exception of sausage, these do not exist here and only one sort of cheese).
The rooms do not have balconies, our bathroom had been recently renovated. Massages in the hotel are expensive.
At the reception they speak English with a very strong accent but it is somehow. If you have a late flight luggage can be left at front ... desk and in the sixth floor there is a shower in the sauna area, where you can walk down the flight time facilities could be better. Good City Hotel. read more

For a city trip the hotel is ideal. It is well served by public means of transportation and is so fast.
The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our check-in went very quickly.

Rooms/facilities free time:
the rooms were very clean and tidy, modern and chic in white equipped, with a flat screen tv. The bathroom was new and very clean. Mini bar/fridge and a safe were available. In the sixth floor there is a fitness center (which we didn't used have), as well as a pool and showers.
Dining:
The breakfast buffet offered a large selection of sweet and savoury items (west, as well as asian), including indian pancakes, French toast and omelets were freshly prepared, many fruits.
Staff:
The staff was always very accommodating and helpful.
Location/traffic connections:
To metro there ... are two minutes footpath, to city center you are 15-30 minutes about, depending on, where to go. We have clarke quay for example 2.30 s $paid, which you later 1 s $deposit for the ticket back. By taxi to the centre and to drive back a system is financially feasible.
Shopping:
The hotel is between two large shopping malls, the almost nothing to be desired. Furthermore, the hotel is located in the district of little india, where you can continue with enthusiasm shop (shoes, spices, clothing, handbags). Furthermore, you can take a small walk through little india very quickly the arab street, where the shoopingmöglichkeiten mood continues to be subsidised.
Currency Exchange:
In immediate Proximity to the hotel (at the mall mustafa centre) is a large store, in the safe and at a reasonable rate and can change money off.
Go/eat:
In little india there are a number of small restaurants and bars, where you can eat. We were recommended for example banana leaf apollo. Also not very far away in the arab street are nice and cozy restaurants.
Conclusion:
I found the hotel as a perfect starting point, especially since the underground station farrer park located in the immediate vicinity. If I return to singapore, I would probably again select this hotel, since the value for money is good. read more

For our short stopover in singapore this hotel was exactly the right thing. We looked at one and a half days in the santosa (underwater world among other things) a day and of course shopping in the orchard road retreat. Both were with a taxi from the hotel was very good and relatively convenient to reach.
We were very pleased with this hotel. The room for the short time completely alright and clean. The furnishing was modern and very well maintained. In the 16. Floor, we had a great view of the city.
The breakfast was completely in order. There ... was a large buffet (american/asian), scrambled eggs etc. were freshly prepared. Coffee, tea and juices could you can get yourself at the vending machine (no service).
We ate dinner at the hotel. The restaurant looked for us not very inviting. In the immediate vicinity were many restaurants.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
For a short stay in singapore we would recommend this hotel again at any time book! read more

The hotel is located in the district of little india. The journey from the airport took about 20 minutes and costs by taxi between 15 and 18 dollars. The area is one of the oldest in singapore corresponding it also looked like it. Life is on the street. Many restaurants and bars, small shops, everything looked not very inviting. But right next to the hotel is on the road is a restaurant serving indian/chinese/vietnamese cuisine. I would not eat, but at a local tiger beer glasses were clean-you can get very good people.
The hotel is very large, with restaurant ..., bar, swimming pool, room was large with a double bed, desk, wardrobe. Ironing board/iron, air conditioning, kettle with coffee and tea. Safe was available (free of charge). In the bathroom there was no hairdryer and an outlet was missing. The hotel was already a bit getting old but our room was newly renovated and very clean.
TIP
If you were good on foot to the main shopping mile orchard road (45 minutes) walk to the trademark of the city, the merlion, 35-it took about 40 minutes are all sights within walking distance. The taxi is not expensive, but at certain times it is very difficult to get a space. read more

we used this hotel as a stopover hotel in singapore as part of a tour used. The hotel is quite centrally located and the rooms were large and clean. Only disturbed us, that the room a connecting door to another room, the closed was, but you all conversations from the neighboring Room next door.
The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious.
All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel. read more
